The next big thing in crypto will be around sustainability. The same trend you can see in stocks and ETFs. "Green" and "sustainable" investments are on the rise there as well, and more and more investors prefer this alternative. Also because you can make good profits with it. When it comes to cryptocurrencies, I wouldn't bet on new coins that still use proof of work - it simply consumes too much energy. This is exactly why Ethereum wants to switch to Proof of Stake (even if it will still take some time). Interesting for me are cryptocurrencies that use the Proof of Personhood protocol. As far as I know, that is only Idena (IDNA) so far. POP could be a gamechanger. It consumes much less energy and there is also a real person behind each user. You don't have advantages because of a fast computer or big capital. Low energy consumption, democratic approach and decentralized - all points that I consider important. For this reason I also have an eye on it. If other coins are also dedicated to these topics, I see great potential in such cryptocurrencies.

For those interested, there is a similar project, on its own blockchain, no kyc, low fees, having multiple wallets is pretty hard (almost imposible to have more than 2-3). Look for Idena. It required some involvement though - validation every 3 weeks, and creating flips. It is also listed on exchanges: [https://www.bitmart.com/trade/en?layout=basic&symbol=IDNA\_USDT](https://www.bitmart.com/trade/en?layout=basic&symbol=IDNA_USDT).

Interresting read - I will save it for later. Otherwise - PoW is still "proven" solution and PoS is still kinda new (in terms of crypto). I think we won´t see end of PoW era. There will be PoW chains around, because they still have some pros over PoS (but also cons). I´ve read also about PoI and PoA chains (Proof of Identity and Proof of Authority) chains and they look interesting, but as long as I won´t see it working, I won´t care more about it (I know just about IDNA, which is PoI chain). Again - interesting point of view - PoS with 7TPS. Yes, TPS and price of transactions is the main selling point of PoS. On the other hand - is it necessary? We are chasing high TPS (in thousands), yet there are different requirements for different applications. I can imagine PoS with high TPS to be used as a base for some metaverse/games with shitload of transactions, but also with low TPS for DeFi (not 7, but let´s say 500?). If it takes 5 seconds or 5 minutes to withdraw my savings is not such a huge difference. I always thought "Hey, High TPS is great", but than I´ve read some interview with Alexander Chepurnoy and he´s right. If you have to choose security or speed for DeFi, what you will pick? Security I guess. BTC is the king, it´s showing us the way, but it´s the same as Converse...they made first basketball sneaker in 1917, but how many ppl actually use them for their original purpose right now. BTC won´t be No.1 forever...but right now it´s the most adopted, accepted and known coin...which will help other coins to get recognised:).

Actually maybe 1 more came to my mind - IDNA. It's a Proof of Personality chain. I have it on my DYOR list. It's interesting...I do not plan to invest into it right now, but whole concepts is not bad at all. Something like that can be used in future instead of KYC

Just personal opinion. It's difficult to pick just one blockchain, because right now we have here a lot of chains with interesting tech (Algo, ADA, Tezos, SOL, Mina, DOT, ONE, Fantom, HBAR, IDNA,...), but in most cases I see there some con, so right now winner for me is Algo. For future, hard to say. Algo will stay here, but I am quite sure there will be a chain with even better tech (as far as I know Fantom is great and has something from everything, only con is...I've read somewhere that head developer who came with most of the ideas left their team to start another project)

Well I already have quite a few interesting projects on my list including ONE, FTM, ERG, IDNA, AMP, ACH,...

IDNA. Very small cap, but a very promising and up and coming project. It abandons PoS and PoW for Proof-of-Person. Idena.io is their site.

I don't really use an alternative (depending on what you mean). I mine some coins, but my main passion project for passive income is IDNA (idena.io). I don't know of any other "advertising" related cryptos, but I've used Firefox with Ublock most of my life anyway.
