The financial markets are going through a once in a generation transformation in terms of the boom of private credit. Ultimately this is what will likely be made available in 401K accounts, and is one of the reasons Blackrock acquired GIP and HPS. Also a lot of private credit asset managers have launched BDCs to give retail investors opportunities to get exposure, so the trend has been happening already for the past couple of years.

Consumer and business sentiment is not near long term trends. Household debt and credit are showing cracks with entries into delinquency and severe delinquency, mainly for revolving debt. Foot traffic and retail traffic data is well down. HPS is significantly more negative. Not sure how any of those are close to “long term trends”, especially the cell phone data…

I've been posting about this one for awhile. I own Hammond power (HPS-A.TO, HMDPF) and the stock has appreciated in a way that the market recognizes this shortage. I still think there's room to run, but a lot of names have made big moves already.

An under looked industry is energy which AI needs a lot of. Specifically nuclear energy has quite a bit to benefit from rising energy demands. It’s already a bit priced in, but I’ve had good results investing in nuclear stocks like CCJ and CEG. Honestly if you dive into what it actually takes to run a data center you can find a lot of hidden gems. Though keep in a mind a lot of winners have already gone up a LOT, but the ones I bought into were HPS, VRT, MOD

Yeah it's not that simple I suppose. But I've been growing since 1996. I have 1000 HPS light, CO2 injection, all hydroponics/automated system, carbon filters there is zero smell of anything. I have 2 kids and they have no clue. I just harvested 22 oz from 3 plants, but I will say I'm pretty fucking good at it but again I've been doing it for a long ass time. There are 3 grow stores within 5 miles of my house, lots of people growing here in VA successfully and completely removed from the black market.

Let’s say you grow 5 marijuana plants in a 4x4 foot grow tent using a 600 watt HPS lamp. This will run the price tag to about $2000 per year with a yield of a single pound. That works out to about $100 per plant if you are harvesting 4 times a year. The tools needed to get a grow of that size started include timers, grow lights, filters, and exhaust fans and are typically quite pricey. You could easily spend a few hundred dollars on those alone. On top of that, you’d need pots, soil, a watering can, and other gear to make the experience turn out well

I love this stock. Its a less obvious (oversold) AI play. Giant tech companies have been openly talking about building their own nuclear plants just to power the amount of data centers they plan on having in the future. Microsoft says they are spending $100 Billion on data centers. Don't even get me started on the limitations we are facing with silicon chips. Everything is aligning for massive increase in data center power usage. Dry transformer demand is going to continue very strong for a long time. I am like 4x on my initial investment with HPS and I am holding for the long term.

I'll go a few orders off the front lines. SCCO- copper miner. More demand for copper wiring will really strain copper supplies and benefit the miners. Natural gas/nuclear- were already seeing increasing demand for electricity to run data centers. This will only increase. HPS-A.TO- they build transformers which are flying off the shelves for data centers. IESC- does electrical work, again, data centers. MEDP- they do medical testing, and drug development will get a big boon from AI. They've all ran pretty hard, so that might be a sign the market has realized these effects already though.

Hammond Power Solutions, HPS.a, is a dry-type transformer company that saw a 14% share rise after Q24 record earnings. Might worth to take a look if you're bullish on electrification due to EV and AI databases. Thanks to hiddenscout who brought this company to my attention a few weeks ago on this sub. I'm going to take the money I have left and buy a 1000w HPS, some liquid plant food, some type of hybrid Blueberry skunk, 30kwh worth of solar panels, some diy server rack batteries, and some Japanese maple seeds. I'll make a stealth grow setup that will get sunlight in the daytime and the 1000w at night to force the weed and the maple to stay in the vegetative grow phase. I'll sell the Japanese maple at 12 inches for $70 a pop under the table, because fuck taxes and business licenses, and I'll smoke all the weed, saving me thousands per pound per year. I'll distill the plant cuttings and trash into ethanol and methanol. I'll burn the methanol for heat and use the ethanol in an ethanol generator. In one year I'll have 50~100k, I'll buy some cheap land with access to fiber internet and slowly build a hydroponic farm that's completely automated and try my best to live off of it. Who knows, buying those puts may have been the best thing that's ever happened to me.

A few I own: HWKN- Hawkins. They're a chemical company who specializes in water treatment chemicals. This is a fragmented industry with lots of small players. They are slowly acquiring the small players, which allows them to gain economy of scale, more cash flows, and more acquisitions. UFPT- UFP technologies They make packaging, primarily for medical devices. Every medical device needs to be packaged and sent. Nice little niche industry with good tailwinds. HPS-A.TO, HMDPF - Hammond power They make transistors, which has tons of tailwinds from the increased needs of electrification and charging. Their big win lately is that a Hammond transistor is in every Tesla charger installed in Canada. USLM- US lime and minerals Just a solid little company that owns limestone quarries and sells limestone. Good tailwinds from building booms. It won't blow the doors off anyone, but has shown the ability to generate steady growth for years.

u/_hiddenscout Not sure if you buy foreign companies, but I found a Canadian company right.up your ally.... Hammond power. (HPS-A.TO, HMDPF) They're the largest maker of electric transformers in North America. Transformers are a huge ingredient in upgrading electric infrastructure, and we're going to need a lot of them to meet demand. They also make transformers for EV charging stations, so as those get built, Hammond is a picks and shovels play.

Hello yes I was In This group. I followed in June for a bit the trade we’re doing well. I put in a small amount for about 4 trades In July and made good returns. I went in with a stupid amount into 1069 . It was going up and exciting to watch for a few days and then it froze. I called HPS and asked to speed with Scott and then was told by his secretary that if this is in regards to a What’s app group, sorry but you are in a false group and that is not Scott. I could have died at that point. Honestly felt like such a fool and the amount I put in is life changing. I did talk to Fidelity and they took it to their fraud department. Not much they can do but help protect others in the future. They did tell me that what they can see it a real lager company and the sell should happen. HK is different and they could not give me a time for the sell to be complete. They thought they had enough investors and the group probably could not support a pump and dump. But what is this scam??? Maybe we can join and share what we know hoping to find some solid avenue to resolve the best we can.

Lmao I ran your query in ChatGPT and the answer is pretty good: >To maximize the dollar value per square foot in a cannabis grow room, you should consider the following factors: >Space utilization: Choose a grow room setup that utilizes the floor space effectively. This can be done using Vertical Growing techniques or using grow tents stacked on top of one another. >Lighting: Maximize light intensity and coverage by using high-output LED grow lights or HPS lights, and placing them as close to the plants as possible while avoiding light burn. >Climate Control: Maintain optimal growing conditions by installing a climate control system that manages temperature, humidity, and air flow. >Nutrient Management: Use high-quality nutrient solutions and a nutrient management system to ensure consistent and optimal plant growth. >Pest and Disease Management: Implement an integrated pest management (IPM) program to prevent and manage pests and diseases. >Harvest Management: Optimize harvest timing and yield by tracking plant growth and monitoring trichome development. >Inventory Management: Keep track of inventory and sales to determine which strains are most profitable and adjust growing strategies accordingly. >By following these guidelines, you can maximize the effective use of the floor space in your cannabis grow room and generate the largest dollar value per square foot.

First, JAAA is not exclusively AAA rated bonds, as one would immediately assume, from its name, it is a composite of CLOs (same as the CDOsthat crashed the market in 2008, just with a different name) A Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) is a composite of loans bundled into a new product. What loans? All kinds, but the two types that have my attention are car loans and high risk corporate loans. Car prices have gone insane and people are not making payments, as well as the coming wipe out of risky businesses that dont earn money, the zombie companies that have stayed alive through risky debt. A lot of high risk loans have variable rate interest, and a lot of companies that have high risk loans couldnt afford the payments when interest was low. Redbox RDBX RDBXW released more information about the warrant agreement with HPS Investment Partners, LLC announced last Friday, [makes a bit more sense now](https://www.reddit.com/r/SPACs/comments/u427ky/announcements_x_daily_discussion_for_friday_april/i4vxzuv/?context=3). "In connection with the Sixth Amendment, the Company entered into a warrant agreement (the “Warrant Agreement”) and issued to the HPS Lenders (as defined in the Credit Agreement) warrants, with an exercise price of $0.0001 per share (the “Warrants”) to purchase 11,416,700 shares of Class A common stock of the Company (“Common Stock”). **Each Warrant will become exercisable in the event certain milestones are not met under the Amended Credit Agreement.** " So they didn't issue the warrants in exchange for the loan, the warrants are a penalty that Redbox will pay if they don't meet the conditions of the loan. In the same [8-K report](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/0001820201/000110465922047388/tm2213076d1_8k.htm), Redbox announces a major restructuring of the board of directors. Seven resigned, three new ones brought on, board reduced from nine to five members.

r/SPACsSee Comment

Sounds like HPS gets shares *and* one or more board seats in return for extending more credit to keep them afloat, they're probably in pretty bad shape after using up the last of their previous credit line so the lender wants some control on direction for more money, and a stake if the company can be saved.

In exchange for an additional $50 million on their credit line - ***not*** ***$50 million in cash***, but *just more credit* \- it sounds like they will give "HPS and certain affiliates" about 9 million shares. Which sounds wrong, so maybe they made some mistake in that 8-K, or I am misreading it.. Redbox also filed their [10-K annual report](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/0001820201/000155837022005521/rdbx-20211231x10k.htm) today, without releasing any earnings press release or conference call. Net loss for 2021 was $141 million. From the 10-K: "The beneficial ownership of Redbox common stock is based on 12,618,516 shares of Class A common stock and 32,770,000 shares of Class B common stock issued and outstanding as of February 28, 2022". Based on that, if the 8-K is correct, RDBX might be issuing about 9 million warrants to HPS and certain affiliates, which would exercise into 9 million common shares for $900. Redbox laid off 150 workers [in March](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1820201/000110465922041795/tm2211292d1_8k.htm) due to "the ongoing adverse effects of the COVID-19 pandemic". So Redbox is having some money problems, but still seems way off that they might have to essentially give HPS 9 million shares to get their credit limit raised.

Why are you trading cfd's? I think if cfd's as the most gambling version of investment possible. You might as well go to vegas and just bet 5% of your portfolio on blackjack. I recommend switch to cef's like AWF or DSL or PCI or JPS or HPS or FPF. Ideally just buy $x equal amount of each and turn on dividend reinvestment *(drip) then just add a few bucks to whichever one is trading below nav every week or every month. As young as you are you will see 30 years of compounded growth. When you get to 65yo even if you only have $100k in those you can turn off drip and get an extra cash dividend every month for $700 to $800 every month without taking money away from your nest egg. Most people want to wait till they retire to buy into dividend stocks but if you buy them through out your working years you control always getting them below NAV and that can pay huge returns down the road. 35 years of drip works like this. If you started with $5000 tomorrow. Then every month for the next 35 years you buy $10 worth of whichever fund is trading the furthest below NAV. ....in 35 years you own $102,000 worth of CEFs and make $750 per month in dividends. And that money is reliable income through out your retirement years.

Usually they put numbers on dispensary websites, or I have seen many that do. Usually they put percentages of Delta-9 and CBD, although I've seen some listing THC A and THC V in addition. Seeds from the same strain will produce different levels of different cannabinoids depending on flowering conditions, The differences between greenhouse, HPS, and LED can all vary widely.

Basically IMO very few of them really understand what they’re doing. They can grow weed, but very few actually understand the science behind it. Then combine that with the support industries that are just trying to milk that cash cow without regard for the quality of their product and it’s not a pretty picture. What you have to remember is that weed was pretty much illegal everywhere until not too long ago. The underground growers know how to grow it, but a lot of times they have trouble scaling up to full scale licensed producer production levels. The suits bankrolling these projects have the money to run this, but don’t understand how to grow optimally. It’s not that these companies aren’t making money, they are (for the most part), it’s just that they could be doing so much better and having seen the clusterfuck that a lot of these companies are from an insiders perspective makes me very hesitant to put money in any of them. Example: did you know you can’t put a plastic folding table under an HPS or CMH lighting fixture? Well, you can, but if a bulb explodes due to poor quality fixture, lamp, or dumbassery, it lights the table on fire which then lights your whole facility on fire. I’ve seen the videos of it happening. And still many growers out there, even some large ones, put plants on plastic folding tables. This is becoming less of an issue with the current switch to LED lighting, but still illustrates my point.

I'm Canadian, so not sure how easy it is for you to hold some of these, but here are some of my holdings that are still near decent entry prices IMO. CHR.to, HPS.a, BDGI.to, INGR, ENIA, INTC.

The new LED lighting uses 1/10th of the electricity HUGE $avings for the modern grow over the 90s tech HPS lights. People are lazy and can't grow like the pros. All the dispensaries in my town are booming. Full parking lots of customers is all.the DD I need. Look around everyone is doing it lol. Cheers mate

Does Sundial grow shit weed in greenhouses and try to pass it off as indoor or do they grow top shelf weed under HPS truly inside? There is NO substitutes for HPS lights and controlled environment for growing hard as rock dense sticky buds. No LED or Sunlight (that I have seen) can match 1000W HPS bulbs and air conditioning.

Sad that the article was entirely about retail cannabis and never mentioned the best alternative: growing your own. And how old is this bust photo with HPS lights? 2002? https://cloudfront-us-east-1.images.arcpublishing.com/tgam/7J7FD7FLAJCW5G7A2SHYWWZF2Q.JPG

Thanks for your response. A couple I am watching are EOD, VTA, and HPS. I thought versus open-end stocks they might have lower management fees? Just trying to understand differences and costs vs potential benefits.

Why the f\*ck is weed even remotely considered a tech stock? NASDAQ Tech 100 pumps, weed pumps. It dumps, weed dumps. Etc. I'm pretty sure it's a plant, you plug it into some dirt, add water and viola. It kinda grows itself. It's called weed for a f\*cking reason. That moron down the road with a garage and a dozen HPS bulbs grows the best sh\*t in town, and he failed English.

Yeah I've been REALLY diving into finance the past couple months since this all started. Like FOR REAL. Taking classes and everything. You wouldn't believe how much like a game this all really is. And it's not THAT much more complicated than some MMO's I've played. And I've been trained by MMO's to have fun watching meaningless numbers go up and down, and doing complicated math to figure out how to make the numbers go as high as I can - any investor like Jim Cramer who says investing should be boring has never met a min/maxer. You think I'm not fucking ECSTATIC at .2% consistent increase in returns from an optimized algorithm? Bitch I have spent over 100 hours trying to get high-level equipment and master my rotations for a smaller increase in DPS/HPS than that, *every single major update, on multiple characters,* and that was *costing* me money - it's all the more exciting when it's *making* me money. "Boring" my ass. Maybe grinding at math for hours on end for tiny returns isn't fun to them, but it's my bread and butter, I just didn't realize until now it could be fun without the attacks and rotations and enemies to kill. When you're grinding for real money, it's actually even *more* fun. Now that this generation has been introduced to the market in a way that was actually entertaining and engaged us enough to get us to learn, the boomers are in full お前はもう死んでいる territory - they've already lost the markets, they just don't know it yet. Yeah, we may lose this round. (Not saying we will, GME to the moon, but we may.) But most of us have only been doing this for two months. We'll get better. And we'll start winning. They have no idea the kind of obsessive nerds the advent of video games has created.

I agree with your conclusion but not your reasons. People generally don't grow their tomatoes so I don't see why they would grow there weed. I've grown weed both indoors and out in a temperate northern hemisphere climate. Outdoors is risky with all kinds of pests and mold concerns. Indoors requires space and a good setup to minimise heat and light fucking with your day to day business if you go HPS (and you gotta be willing to pay for the electric), LEDs are the future but still $$$ for good ones. Is delta 8 as good as weed though? Smoking weed (especially the plant) ain't just a THC high, all kinds of cannabinoids and then the benzene high as well. My main issue with weed stocks is that afaik none of them actually penetrate the US market. I feel home growing will see an uptick for a few years so I'm not denying investing in companies that make grow lights, etc would be a good play but I'd be more interested in which companies would farming hemp (so many uses) and cannabis on an industrial scale south of the border for cheap labour. Not sure abou the edibles market, I feel companies like Kraft and Hershey's would quickly dominate any burgeoning edible companies if weed became socially acceptable but would that add much of a bottom line to those already huge companies? Sorry, turned into a bit of a DD there.
