I need to take a step back? Give me one example of a successful (profitable) 51% attack that did not involve reorging the chain. Here are a few that went exactly as I described. BTG Jan 2020, Vertcoin Dec 2019, EXP jul 2019, LCC 2019. I don’t know why I am even discussing with you anymore since, you are wrong about this. You cannot 51% attack Bitcoin in hours with these pools, you simply cannot. I bought that XVG "buy the rumor sell the news" Made nice chunk of change off it, but sold a day early and it rallied another 20-30% before the announcement. I knew it was all BS. The traveling salesman problem isn’t an NP problem though. It is, iirc, an EXP-complete problem. Yes, the number of applications would be limited. But the example you gave, solving differential equations, or even most equations at large, is exactly the kind of thing which IS easy to verify, but hard to do. That was actually exactly what I was considering at the time. As far as I’m aware, as long as you have enough constraints to uniquely identify a singular correct solution (which you ought to have anyways if you’re looking for a specific solution), then it is in fact trivial to verify that you have the correct solution.

It's unfortunate they don't touch on Starkware, but you can essentially group them in with zkSync for the purposes of the article. "For zkEVM, there are currently two main implementation strategies. 1. Direct support for the existing set of EVM opcodes, which is fully compatible with the set of Solidity opcodes. Those using this solution include Hermez and the Ethereum Foundation zkEVM. 2. Maintaining Solidity compatibility by designing a new virtual machine that is zero-knowledge proof-friendly and adapting EVM development tools. This solution is mainly used by zkSync; For the first strategy, since it fully supports the existing set of EVM opcodes and uses the same compiler as EVM, it is naturally fully compatible with the existing ecosystem and development tools, and also inherits the security model of Ethereum better. For the second strategy, it is not bound by the original set of EVM opcodes, so it is more flexible to compile the code into a more zero-knowledge proof-friendly set of opcodes. It is also free from the hard and heavy work required to be compatible with all of the original set of EVM opcodes. Overall, the **first strategy is more compatible and safer, but with more work**; the **second strategy is more flexible and less work, but extra effort in adaptation is required**." ​ They then go on to compare how the different scaling solutions approach building a zkEVM. The following is the first part of what they said about Hermez: "Hermez uses the first strategy, which translates the entire set of EVM opcodes into micro opcodes. It is well known that **there are some variable EVM opcodes**, such as CALL, EXP, CREATE, etc., **which are inherently unfriendly to zk circuit proofs**, and **the logic of these opcodes can be expressed in a more friendly way using micro opcodes**. The micro opcodes are executed in uVM, which uses a large number of cryptographic tools to achieve zk completion, and uses the Plookup algorithm to improve proof and verification efficiency." tl;dr: It's really fkin hard to make a zkEVM that is fully compatible with Solidity opcodes. This is why AppliedZKP will very likely take longer to release their zkEVM. Furthermore, although alternative zkEVMs may require extra adaptation as new opcodes are introduced, we don't know whether or not alternative languages can bring added benefits like increased efficiency. The people at Starkware, MatterLabs, and Polygon are all wicked smart, so it's hard for me to believe they would be investing so many resources into their zkEVM solutions if they believed they were completely inferior to AppliedZKP's. If AppliedZKP's zkEVM was superior in every way, these players could adopt it similarly to Loopring. However, just like monolithic L1s aren't optimal for every use-case, monolithic zkEVM's likely won't be either.

Everybody should check out the EXP REALTY brokerage model. It is a cloud based brokerage, with a VR competent for meetings. You choose your avatar, clothing, accessories etc. it’s very very basic but in a few years I think it will improve. It is just a small taste of the meta verse and the nft culture.

From MIT digital currency initiative: Recently, theoretical thinking about 51% attacks has evolved. A plethora of alternative cryptocurrencies (altcoins) with wildly differing market capitalizations have launched. This has made 51% attacks against altcoins realistic because only a small proportion of miners from larger coins need to switch to a smaller coin in order to control 51% of the smaller coin's network hashrate. This has led to the creation of economic models that consider the incentives behind launching a 51% attack in a world where enough hashrate can be purchased if the attacker is willing to pay. These theories suggest that successful attacks are either break-even or profitable unless miners have large fixed costs associated with their mining hardware that could not be recouped in the case of an attack. Exchanges are not incentivized to disclose successful attacks due to the risk of being perceived as insolvent and journalists are rarely able to provide detailed data on an attack. Futhermore, 51% attacks are transient events meaning that unless they are observed at the time of attack, it is not possible to detect them later. We built a system to actively monitor scores of Proof-of-Work cryptocurrencies and detect chain reorganizations (reorgs) which can indicate that a 51% attack has occured. When an attack is detected, the system analyzes the blocks involved and reports any transactions that have been double-spent. The system also estimates the cost of attack based on hashrate rental prices at the time of the attack. The goal is to gather real-time empirical data on the rate of reorgs on popular cryptocurrencies to provide guidance to the industry on better practices for managing Proof-of-Work security. Since we launched the reorg tracker in June 2019, we have detected over 40 reorgs that were 6 or more blocks deep on coins such as BTG, HANA, VTC, XVG, EXP and LCC. Some of these reorgs contained double-spends and were hundreds of blocks deep. We have also seen evidence that hashrate rental markets were used to perform a subset of the attacks

I'm starting to lean away from the item based NFT's and such in the new blockchain gaming scene, I feel like they are just more complicated crypto tokens with a much smaller cap therefore subject to much more supply demand madness. Though I am bullish on NFT's as a standardized account format for games platforms. Imagine that your account is held as an NFT, and if you are bored of a game on a given platform you can just transfer to a new game and take all your value you earned on the platform with you? If you want to cash out, just syphon out some EXP or whatever your NFT has earned. This would make things like interconnected virtual worlds a viable premise, and given projects like Enjin trying to make decentralized servers to make truly persistent worlds that can't be just 'shut down' Though creates an industry where standardization would be key. This wouldn't work if we have 600 types of virtual platform. Though having a single standard one sounds rather scary, it wouldn't be so bad if it is owned/governed in a decentralized manner.

I guess you could make a DAO that helps structure the rewards payout for something like that, and in that way the entire economy of tournament play is regulated by blockchain. For native uses within the game, all special items that are unique can use the tech of NFTs, and I would imagine Yield Farming or liquidity provision could be a thing that helps a character level-up. For an RPG example, leaving one of the people in your party in a town. Leaving them there helps the town in some way and when you pick them up again their stats like EXP, STR, DEF have all increased in some way

You can invest less than 600, but your axies will not be the strongest, still will be ok for PVE. SLP are potions used to breed your cats, its not EXP if you dont plan on breeding you can just sell them for money. Its not a casino. Research before you trashtalk.

Yeah Tezos has become the sponsor for RB Racing team through a NFT EXP, since F1 is focused on being carbon neutral in the years to come and Tezos uses PoS it's become a crypto that's focused on being energy efficient. The way I see it is the EXP team was sitting on a dead blockchain and found a way to create a new token with an exchange on their blockchain attached to it. Still believe it will x100 easily though, but definitely not a long term hodl.

Hi. EGG is not on any price tracker yet as the marketcap is so low. There are a few copycats out there so be careful. If we compare it to EXP using Eggswap, 1 EGG is roughly 0.01 EXP. 1 EXP is currently around $0.10, meaning EGG is currently roughly $0.001. Around 50m total supply, means EGG has a tiny marketcap of around $50k.
