It'd be hard with only 2GB of GPU. You can't mine ETH or RVN. You could mine a coin named UBQ, you could look into that. It wouldn't be profitable probably but in case you want to do it just for the experience.

GPU mining for Ethereum will stop when ETH 2.0 comes out. That could be anywhere between 6 months to 3 years away. There is a long list of other minable coins: RVN, ERG, ZANO, CFX, FLUX, ETC, VTC, UBQ, and so many more.

RVN, ERG, FIRO, UBQ, ETC, VRT, and plenty more for the future. Right now ETH isnt even the most profitable on all cards (though is on about 85%)

I believe this is a 4 GB GPU which is too low to mine ETH. Check out ERG, RVN, ETC, UBQ, Vert to name a few

*UBQ *BEAM *RVN *MWC *XMR *EXP *ETH I have around 19 machines in a pool(not full blow miners), started late Feb. I have (after fees) 0.32209128 ETH or 0.32209128 BTC. At the time of writing ~$655, but I have special circumstances where i dont have to pay for power and a lot of passive machines.

Theres nothing in ETC, if there were some activity and projects running and defi buzz on ETC then you could make a case but right now all the activity is on ETH , so ETC is not attractive, and if you look at other PoW ETH forks there are plenty like UBQ so its not really a problem in that regard.. the miners want the activity on ETH

I think there will be very few large smart contract platforms (both proof of work and proof of stake). I think that when ETH moves to proof of stake, ETC will be in a prime position to be the top contender for a coin that is both proof of work and a smart contract platform. I also believe that ETC developers are serious about ameliorating any security issues. They've demonstrated this by implementing their Thanos security upgrade in Nov. I believe that ETC will upgrade to SHA 3. BTC. is SHA 2. If they upgrade, then the 51% attacks will become a thing of the past. The developers and investors of ETC believe in the philosophy that code is law. The 51% attacks are analogous to the struggles Litecoin faces. Other coins that are also smart contract platforms and proof of work are leagues behind ETC in terms of development and popularity and I believe that trend will continue down the road. ERG and UBQ have the right philosophy and approach but do not differentiate themselves enough to overtake ETC.

LSK and UBQ trashed my innocence and made me a man. ADA fixed what those 2 ruined.
