My advanced beginner (I’m rather new to the space, but I think rather advanced at this level) advice is to just buy BTC. Even through the bear. You’ll make the most on BTC. With alts you can hit the jackpot on one, and lose hard on the next one. Evening it out to rather mediocre outcomes most of the time. And then you still run the risk of missing the top and being left with your dick in your hand. While with BTC the risk of missing the top isn’t so big, as then you just wait another 3 years and you’re always in profit. I think it was 2017 or 19, I was buying LSK, trying to do some trading. In the midst of it I bought 1-2 BTC, then sold them quickly for marginal profit. Yeah, I used to have 1-2 very cheap BTC. For a few hours. Then I had LSK, which maxed its top, and started just dropping, my value went down 30, 60, 90%. All the while, I could’ve traded whatever I had leftover for BTC and come out with a pretty hefty win come 2021-2024. But no. I was in alts. No more for me.
Yeah I dunno about this. "Still around" in the sense they didn't go way the way of BitConnect, but there are so many 2017 projects that are essentially dead and treading water and are only purchased by bag holders or people who left and came back years later. When was the last time you heard someone talk about Verge? or DASH, NEM, PPT, OMG, NEO, LSK, STRAT, MONA, KMD, SALT, EMC2, ETN.. etc etc those were all top 500 coins at the peak of the bull in december 2017
Back then every coin was over-promising and under-delivering. Worldcoin is giving me the exact same vibes as EOS did. Anyone remembers all these "rate my (shitcoin) portfolio" posts and the massive shill propaganda tsunamis? LSK/NEO/EOS/OMG will replace ETH, NANO,XRP,whatever will replace Bitcoin....
How? This one, LSK, was recommended by a friend. Having said that I do have like 5 grids and only this one has performed well for me. My profit per grid is $0.12 and there is 75 grids. The one I created has a price range between $0.8 and $2 The main reason it has performed well is because of a massive pump.

I've been looking at pages 2-5 on CoinMarketCap and remembered all these coins from 2017 that everyone was talking about for a quiet some time. Stuff like REQ, ICX, DNT, SIA, LSK, NANO, ARK, OMG, WTC... I've once owned every single one of these. And then I asked myself, when is a coin truly dead? When no one uses it? When the development stops? When the value/volume drops significantly? Or when you accidentally find it again on pages 2-5 on CoinMarketCap and a long forgotten name hits you in the face followed by nostalgia and the question of what could have been?
Bought some LSK for 1,37$, hope tomorrow it go up

I am going to get the Reddit Downvote Death Knell for what I am about to say but the following coins might get delisted IF trading volume is the most important indicator for whether they will delist or not, according to others who have posted in this thread: 1. Nano (I am sorry, my Nano homies). 2. Walton Chain (How is this coin even around still?) 3. LSK 4. FUN 5. Loom 6. GNO 7. ONG 8. XVG (This coin has got to be the most controversial coin for CryptoCurrency. It was the Safemoon of controversies in 2016-2017).

I bought so much shitty stuff back in 2017...I remember PWR, LSK, XLM, LTC, WAVES, something with an A.... way more that I can't recall. Liquidated it all for ETH and then made a similar mistake during defi summer. But ever since then I've been mostly in ETH or some BTC 🤷♀️
I think Lisk was the first with JavaScript as smart contract language. LSK also was one if the first DPoS chains. So Hodgkinson is like 5 years behind, plus the time it takes him to build it, which is forever if experience counts.
What about STEEM, XRP, LTC, DAO, XEM, DASH, MAID and LSK? You chose ETH because it's one of the most well known and trusted now, but if you invest in 2016 you don't have 2022 knowledge. Also you're comparing a 15-ish billion, highly inflated, market cap market with established and massive corporations. It's like dumbasses saying "look Bitcoin went from nothing to a lot!" and compare it with the top fortune 500 and their growth instead of highly risky penny stocks, or more like angel rounds, and using the same survivorship bias bullshit.

I remember the hundred or even thousands of "rate my crypto portfolio" posts ... and replies with the weirdest suggestions. "needs more EOS", "LSK will replace Eth", "Neo!", and.. and... and...
Surprised to see so many coins here that are far from dead, for example LSK, NANO, IOTA, ICX, NEO and POWR. I mean they might not be doing so great in terms of price but they are definitely not dead when you look at their development, community and exchange listings. Opposite even, some of them are very active and have even gained new big exchange listings last months. Anyways one of my old fallen darlings is XEM/XYM.. looked so promising. I've held a sizable portion since 2017 and it's recent death still confuses me. Weird too since it's really hard to find any information about it.

I've suffered the same loss in 2017, I wrote my key phrase for LSK on notepad on the computer (not word) and closed it without saving, it wasn't set on autosave so it was deleted. Bought 100 lsk for 2k, I think their ATH was $30 so that was 30k I couldn't touch
With that logic you'd have been the person to load up on 2017 shitcoins like LSK, NEO etc that nobody has even heard of today.

Lisk LSK the biggest scam i get into in early 2018, jumping on before the rebrand and promise to do a lot but actually conducting a shit presentation for the rebrand and as expected the project sinked asap and never recover. Lost almost 90% of the price now I still have those LSK as a memoranda.

Lisk (LSK). They did an ICO in 2017 I believe and have been building their interoperable sidechain solution for years, it's finally done and they've been funding lots of projects to be built on it lately. They've got a huge team, are always one of the most active developers on all crypto project on GitHub, and they've got basically endless funding because they've held all the BTC and LSK they raised in 2017.
Miota, XEM, BTG, QTUM, PPT, OMG, LSK, Strat, WAVES, and bitconnnectttt were all top 25 coins at end of 2017. That’s 40% of your top 25 basically gone 4 years later.
Looking back about 5-6 years ago, here are some that were supposed to be game changers back then. Maidsafe (MAID), Syscoin (SYS), Bitshares (BTS), Lisk (LSK), and New Economy (XEM). I think Bitshares had the most hype.

Yes and I did explained that. But it's just terrible UX. And with my LSK I can't even use another app it's literally held hostage by Ledger's team incompetence. They've been "working" on LSK's new network security audit for weeks now. It's a joke. Also for people who aren't very tech savvy they may not be able to use the workaround I've used. There's also a chance that they may not even find it online.

There is surprising amount of misinformation here. If you look at some of the "events" of coins in the past few months (e.g. KAVA, ICX, LSK, ETH), you see that about 24-48 hours before the event time, there is a spike around 10% of its price as the "run" begins. And then, you see the decrease in the price. If you see ETH London hard fork, you see that ETH had significant amount of volume and increase in ETH/BTC 24-48 hours before the hard fork time. So there are a lot of details missing here.

you just missed LTC.. could be some meat left to this move. BCH has alot of upward momentum (basing these on the 4hr timeframe so these will play out, if they do, over like a day-day and a half or so... sell target the weekend) EOS ICX LSK (iffy) MKR XLM looks kinda uppish (or its version.. bit of stabilization built in to that one not a good one if you looking to catch moves) anyway good luck have fun none of this is financial advice
LSK, been in development for years and finally rolling out and providing seed funding for projects built in it. BNT, I think the new Bancor is attracting a lot of yield farmers. It was the very first original DEX/AMM and experiencing a renaissance atm. And of course ETH and BTC are the safest bet, I see no way they don't both at least 2x in the next three years.
Def need LINK in your life. NEO, LSK, KCS could all go Imo

I just used MAs as they are the fastest and usually predictive of support and resistance I use the daily and weekly and only go down if need some more info. I personally think drowning in lines and indicators is a bad idea and usually just leads to confirmation bias When I look at a chart now I think; "what one line would tell me the most information" Bands, MACD, Fibs, Elliott waves, patterns etc... just seem to confirm my mind set or taint the waters If you go through my post history I literally just got into CQT and MINA based off simple FA CTSI off daily volume increases GHST based on a low market cap and being listed on a major exchange BTC is complicated but it generally just follows the 21 EMA and 50 MA on all time frames. You can go chart it now and it will give you clear levels for a month But to each his own Oh and today was going to jump in LSK but a look at level 2 showed a huge sell wall and switched to OCEAn based off just the 24hr BTC valuation increase

LSK - currently around 250% in profit. Still far far away from previous ATH.
Lisk (LSK). They've consistently been the most active crypto repo on GitHub, they have hundreds of millions in funding from their ICO, and after a few years developing they're finally gearing up for a full launch. Basically it's a platform for building multiple blockchains that interact with each other but can choose their own consensus approach, their own fee mechanisms, etc and you can build apps on it.

I've stopped now but for a while I'd take 1/10 of my portfolio to play around with. Did some nice gains on LSK because it was quite volatile at the time. Good times.

If anyone remembers Lisk (LSK) they've been in quiet development for a couple years but they're having an event today & tomorrow called Lisk.js that they're making out to be a big deal, some here may be interested. They're supposedly going over their solution to creating a network of side chains that can interact with each other as a solution to scaling

My portfolio is mainly ADA, XRP, LSK & TRX. XRP is supposed to get launched on the Flare Network in one month, so I was expecting it to get an ATH. Cardano, well everyone expected the 2USD soon. Lisk is having a huge online event in two weeks, so same. TRX because I like engineering. but didn't expect much of it at least not in the foreseeable future. And here I am, waking up to a black Monday with a 9-10% Portfolio dip. Why are you expecting it to deep more to Memorial Day, can you enlighten me? Are we heading into a bear market?

You don't need one; but you do need a HODL portfolio if investing. My personal portfolio if for trading not long holds It is: 1. 25% BTC 2. 25% major Alts such as ETH, ADA, DOT etc.... 3. 15% Mid cap coins ( top 50 - 200) currently MANA, OCEAN, XTZ, LSK, QTUM ( usually trade 20 crypto) 4. 10% low cap trading ( top 200 - 300) 5. 25% cash or stable coins to buy dips and house profits. As well as cover trading losses
I'm new to the space so thoughts are both half formed and uninformed but having a quick browse over the website I'm surprised top see that it looks like it offers in part the same offering as GET in terms of NFT ticketing. I've never heard of LSK. There seems to be a really big gap between old and new coins and the marketing of them. It obviously makes significant difference to those who market well. From my perspective, coming into crypto through the gateway coin DOGE in Jan on an absolute whim, I had no idea about blockchain and its uses and I'm still very much learning as I go so I tend stick to projects that I understand relative to its centralised offering. Pure tech related projects/solutions I don't understand. I don't have the knowledge. That would go for a lot of noobs like myself I expect. TikTok crowd aren't going to be buying LSK. So I guess for the quieter tech focussed projects they won't fare as well gains wise relative to their past performance as the type of buyers in the market have changed.

I usually cash out 50% at 10x and hold the rest. But that depends on the coin and my personal sentiment behind it. Thins like NEO? I'll probably ride it for longer because I like it and I've had it for a long time, for me NEO is a bit like ETH. But things like AGI or LSK? I'll probably sell 50% and hold the rest once I hit 10 x with them as I did with other alts.

Made some money in TRX last week ; lost in XRP on Sunday ( because I was greedy) and put into ADA at $1.21 on Sunday So made money but had a -27% due to a bad XRP trade. Once again due to using 5x leverage on a quick trade based on a $0.015+ bounce off a $1.45 support that wasn't there. If I hadn't been greedy and and done a spot trade would be up way higher Hopping ADA hits $1.56 to cash out and put into LSK at support of UNI for a 2 - 3 day trade. I HODL some ADA so this is just the trading money
