I had difficulty understanding the short term implications. So I have two sides to my portfolio, one that's mainly eth, my main account, and it's a long term riser. That money isn't going to move until Coinbase allows unstaking (cbeth is crap unless you want to throw away 30% of it). The other side is counting on eth going down for whatever reason. I'm waiting for GHSTWETH to go up so I'll trade my GHST to weth when eth is low, merge effects won't really be noticeable until 2 months in. 6 months - 1 year is when the top will happen and bunch will sell, but I'll sell back into GHST and hopefully I can get an aavegotchi finally. My second profile is an aggregation of failed projects where my money hops from project to project before they fail. I think aavegotchi is decent and here to stay, but they're expensive. Hopefully I'll get there though.

Oh yea it was actually one of the first to move over to Matic a long while ago! So rarity farming rewards happen once a year (you get GHST from the treasury for holding rare gotchis) and the full world gameplay is just gettin started. It is backed by a bonding curve and uncapped, meaning that the volatility is very low and new players can enter at a lower cost. As with AXS, you can stake and earn rewards. You should check it out! Our DAO is one of the most active in the space. There is a lot of awesome complexity involved (it’s built by nerds) and a ton of inherent value to them. We pay out the rarity farm rewards from out treasury, and use Chainlink to randomize their traits at birth. We also use a bid-to-earn auctioning system that pays you for being out-bid. Hmmm nope, it's a retro based 2D game. Its actual P2E game is releasing pretty soon (this March). I personally love this project because: - the community one of the best I've ever seen in all my years on the Internet - its native token, GHST, has one of the best tokenomics I have seen so far especially with its bond curve (I'm especially impressed with how it crashed in value less than BTC did just now) - the game's plan, future and control is going to a great extent be decided by the DAO. They seem to be very serious about decentralizing the game including any mechanics that show up. What helped me understand all this is by just chilling in their Discord. The overall vibe is pretty fun.

A lot of people make the mistake of chasing coins just because they are “scarce” - I try to avoid only thinking like that. Sure, max supply is something to factor in - but some coins have unlimited max supply and still do fine. For example: Ethereum has no max supply. Another interesting one is Aavegotchi’s GHST token, which has no max supply and works on a bonding curve distribution. There are a lot of interesting token economic models beyond just “low max supply”. I think it’s more important to know how the supply is distributed (what % founders, investors, whales own, ect)
I have to disagree with that. Meme coins are basically high risk high reward coins, with nothing else than hopium fueling them (or Elon) You can make a just as rewarding, but slightly more impactful and safe bet on microcaps with high potential. I personally hold a couple of them (OCC, MIMO, GHST) and it's been going reasonably well, but more importantly, I believe in their ideas and that in the long run it will pay off more than I have made on doge (held from 2014 to 2021)
I think play-2-earn gaming projects will fair well in a bear market. It’s a sector I expect to explode over the next few years as it will attract many non-crypto natives. Aavegotchi is the project I’m most excited about in the space. It’s token GHST is issued on a bonding curve and is stabilized by DAI which means it is a built for reducing volatility and the downside of a bear market.

There’s also Aavegotchi, they’re releasing their “gotchiverse” in Dec 2021 / Jan 2021 and they are having their second land auction at the beginning of Dec. The auction style is amazing! It’s called “Bid to Earn” if you place a bid on a parcel of land, and somebody outbids you, your GHST goes back to your wallet +1-10%. They are also raffling parcels off a week later. All in all, I like the concept of the game and the aesthetic. It’s Gaming paired with DEFI in a 90’s style 8bit characters. Worth a look if anyone is wants to dip their toes in the metaverse.

Does anyone know anything about GHST? I threw some money into it about 4 months ago on a recommendation from someone I trust in this space as I’m not too well versed, it’s appreciated about 40% which is nice, but my understanding is that it can never truly rocket in value due to supply increasing as use increases?

I have 2 investments that made me quite moist for my portfolio: Aavegotchi(nft gaming) $GHST: Project on Polygon. They currently have land raffle on where you can enter drop tickets and stand a chance to get a land parcel. 4000 parcels to be rewarded. Currently 90k drop tickets entered. For me i add GHST/Quick LP and in return i get frens back. With frens you can buy different tickets to enter in future raffles (wearable/gotchi/land) or you can sell those tickets in the bazaar for GHST. Best would be to save up for a godlike ticket and sell it for +-75GHST. My goal is to get one godlike ticket a day(+-$160 a day if i sell). Currently making 1 godlike ticket in two days. Diversify for the love of god...bitcoin is good and all but it's returns are saddening. Get you some diversity going my guy! GHST, AAVE, DOT, etc...people here can give you recommendations and do your DD on them.
Currently I'm heavily in GHST, it hits the sweet spot of charming NFT characters, metaverse land auctions, and actual gaming potential (they recently hired an ex-WoW designer). REVV also seems super cheap considering it's owned by the same company as SAND. I think it could pop if the Ubisoft investment develops into a deeper partnership.

I'm a little confused. I'm somewhat new to crypto, but I'm interested in the future of this game (not playing it, but as an investment). I'm in the U.S. so it's not on any of the centralized exchanges. I would like to buy some GHST, so how would I do this without paying extra fees? On the centralized exchanges like Coinbase Pro, there's a very tiny fee. How much are the fees going to cost if I buy it now? And how will I transfer it to Coinbase or another exchange if they don't allow me to buy it? Thanks!
I would buy some GHST and stake them (single sided) on the aavegotchi platform. The yield is >50% APY and has been for 6+ months. Watch the baazaar, follow along in the discord, and learn about the project which has a complicated but enthralling economy. There are such massive catalysts that it's very difficult to imagine GHST dropping over the next few months and this lets you have a little skin in the game while you learn the ecosystem.
We have had excellent legal counsel from day one. The GHST token was launched via a bonding curve for maximum decentralized distribution. The curve also has KYC limitations on which countries can mint new GHST. Due to the concerns you cited, U.S citizens are not able to interact with the bonding curve. Aavegotchi NFTs, on the other hand, are made to be played with and are accessible no matter where you are.

What’s the best and cheapest way to transfer GHST from Binance to MetaMask so I can stake it?
GHST is bonded to a bonding curve- real interesting stuff which can be researched more in their website. So GHST being intrinsically tied to DAI reduces volatility while sacrificing some upside, without fully removing it. This allows people to trade the NFTs in polygon (low cost) without having to account or hedge for wild movements in GHST price. The best entry points are maybe when they do the bid-to-earn auctions. You bid within your budget/comfort zone and if you get outbid you get GHST in return. So these auctions are usually great events to get the NFTs at low cost while also profiting during the price discovery process. Trading NFTs in the bazaar (buy low, sell high) has also been a profitable strategy for many. Of course, always DYOR and invest carefully- never take investment advice from someone online. Currently, I do not believe there is any way to stake other than holding the the GHST token on the polygon network and staking it via the aaveogtchi UI.
When Aavegotchi has a new NFT drop/primary sale of Aavegotchis or wearables, 40% of the revenue goes into a rewards pool. Then a few times a year, we'll have an 8 week long Rarity Farming season that redistributes the funds in that rewards pool directly to Aavegotchis in accordance to where they are ranked on various leaderboards. The big three leaderboards are Rarity Score, Kinship, and XP. Basically, if you dress your gotchi, pet your gotchi, and vote in the DAO you'll do well on all three leaderboards and farm some GHST (and maybe some trophy or badge NFTs too!).
