I agree with this, eventually I think it will be refined enough that it’s not as painful but for now it’s ridiculously complex just to get going in some of these games the only one I have experience with is REVV racing it’s cool it’s like forza just slow and kinda clunky feeling in it’s current state
I'm an avid gamer... I normally consider myself to be have a low-moderate expectations for some games. Blockchain games with cryptocurrency involved? Play-to-earn is quite inaccurate. The horse betting game? Too expensive to enter and you're just pretty much betting on which will win and breed the horse to hopefully get that horse that someone will pay 1 ETH for. That racing game with REVV token? It's... almost as bad as Android ports. Plus, it has that 'arcade machine' insert coin vibe to it (in events, you need to pay a fee to race once). Yeah, they are work first, play never. I play games to have fun, not to get money. We have something called 'jobs' (freelancing, odd jobs, part-time or full-time employment, etc) It is **clear** that they are advertising and emphasize the potential profit first being wrapped on often mediocre gameplay to make them stay. Kinda like "skill-based casino" in my opinion.
I believe most Crypto games are still limited by their lacking effort of "Innovation". There is literally no "Crypto Game" right now that does something special... 1. We have "BUY MY LAND" NFT Games that just want to take advantage on the NFT Bubble that will soon explode. NFTs profits went down 40 % between 2021 and 2022 - as soon as you dont innovate on that fact and add more value to NFTs you just end up with a digital picture on a blockchain that gets lost as soon as they shut down the servers. There are just a few games where i think they make sense integrating that stuff like "The Sandbox". 2. Then we have games coming out which looked promising at frist but then ended up being an "Auto Battler" where you dont have anything to do aside from getting NFTs and hope you have the better team setup. As a gamer.... i dont care about those games. I want to have a "battle system" where i can decide what i do and when i do. 3. But it doesnt end here... some more games coming out which are just "Idle" games where you literally dont play at all. A hard pass for me as a life long gamer who is looking for a challenge and not for a program that plays for me. Many Blockchain games look like glorified mobile games to begin with (Axie Infinity was the first successful crypto game but it still looks just like a mobile game) and some of them just change the microtransaction from P2W mobile games into "Buy better NFTS to win". So its already a hard pass for me when i have to rely on buy stuff to become better in a game - i prefer skill over wallet size. Then again we have some games coming out who are doing something differently or just sound hilarious to play like the horse race simulation "Zed RUn" or the racing game "REVV Racing" or even stuff like "The Sandbox" which is kinda a cryptofied Minecraft/Roblox. So some efforts are out there but still not my kind of game to play. If you are are into games that you can really enjoy playing without investing way too much to even start with it.... then you may have to check out Valhalla - the metaverse developed by the cryptocurrency Floki. Not all NFTs are simply artwork. This common view will change as more developers work with NFTs in the future. Axie Infinity is an example of a game that requires and uses NFTs for gameplay. You may say they are overpriced, but some people (365,000 currently playing as I type this) find the prices to be worth the ability to play the game and have the opportunity to earn. They also have a store of value in the NFT itself. REVV racing is a game I have experience playing that requires an NFT to play. It was low cost a few weeks back, so I pulled the trigger. It is still in alpha, but has decent gameplay, especially for a blockchain based game.

How do you access Sandbox and REVV?
Currently I'm heavily in GHST, it hits the sweet spot of charming NFT characters, metaverse land auctions, and actual gaming potential (they recently hired an ex-WoW designer). REVV also seems super cheap considering it's owned by the same company as SAND. I think it could pop if the Ubisoft investment develops into a deeper partnership.
I am waiting to see how the crypto ecosystem in gaming develops, but I did find a little micro cap gem with a company who has a track record in e-sports/gaming/tournaments/streaming. $ULTGG looks prime for early investors atm. Only a $7.5m market cap—just a baby. Definitely more on the tournaments/streamer side of the equation. Also looking forward to what some heavy hitting companies do for gaming (Animoca, Atari, Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo). $REVV by Animoca also looks good, but not super interested in ERC20s. We’ll see what the future brings!

There are a lot of projects popping up that mint NFTs on other less well-known blockchains. Eg, F1 Delta time on REVV and Champions League cards on LUKSO. Why would they use an NFT other than ETH? Can NFTs be transferred from these blockchains to ETH? (Sorry nft noob)!! Thanks for any advice. If anyone has any good reading recommendations to upskill my knowledge please do send them!

Whatever you purchase you have the possibility to combine and could use in any number of different metaverses, it could be a full body scan from METAHERO as an avatar, you could be wearing a pair of RTFKT sneakers and riding an OMI back to the future hoverboard or you could play out your favourite action move traded through ILUVIUM or customise a lambo with REVV .. the nft space is packed with epic opportunity, one the tech is ready, all we need is for it all to communicate with each other
Alien Worlds was popular a couple of months ago, although it was pretty much a faucet based on the Wax blockchain (which made it pretty irritating to use for a newcomer, as you need to stake the Wax token to increase your ability to perform transactions on the blockchain). I’d be surprised if it wasn’t dead by now tbh, but it was profitable earlier in the year (about a month before I got into it lol). RPlanet was another fairly profitable game that seemed to be a big deal a few months ago but I’ve not heard much of it since… Currently I’ve heard of one called ‘Cryptoblades’ that was profitable until recently, although I’m unsure if this has changed. There’s always Uplands too, which is like a property buying game, but it seems quite hard to get anywhere without investing in tokens. I think with a bit more consideration I probably could have earned enough of the in-game currency to have a decent stab at it, but it’s been out about a year now so it seems to be full of whales. Prospectors is another one that’s been out a while and isn’t really worth bothering with tbh - I didn’t put much time into it because most of the land (which is needed to mine for gold) was already taken, and the only opportunities for employment were in having your guys transport other peoples stuff about. Unfortunately, I think the long-term players were aware of this, so the pay rates on these activities were absolutely negligible. I had a brief look at splinterlands, which like a card combat game, but I didn’t invest the initial ~$10 that was more-or-less required to actually get started. There’s a motorsport game called REVV that started a couple of days ago, and I’ve really not looked into it at all beyond checking the prices of the required NFTs, which started at around $30 (in ETH) a couple of days ago. I aren’t sure on the mechanics behind it, but it sounds promising tbh. There’s another called Farsite which is supposed to be starting up in the near future, but the details on it are fairly limited - it seems to be based on buying gear to colonise other planets and move stuff between your bases and home. I haven’t really looked too much into them recently, as it seems that some games can be really profitable if you manage to get in early and it really takes off, although Others will inevitably drop off the radar. Most of them now have NFTs that you need to buy initially in order to start the game too; so it depends on whether you think it’s worth the risk (if you’re considering it from an earning perspective). Hopefully that gives you a couple of titles to look up to see if you fancy getting involved, but I’m aware that my limited play in many of them doesn’t exactly make for in-depth reviewing lol.
Has anyone played REVV yet? I was hoping to get in early on a new game, rather than after the token and NFTs have all gone up 1000%. It started up a couple of days ago, but there’s a barrier to entry (in buying a car NFT), and I aren’t really sure what the mechanics of the game even are - if it’s basically a stat comparison vs other users then it seems pointless unless you’re willing to shell out hundreds for a decent car…

I had the same problem. I didn't my REVV when it was distributed. Do I need to use a specific wallet. I was using the Coinbase Wallet.
The Coinmarketcap Earn activity for REVV only had 1600 winners. Wow, this is pretty dumb. Mass marketing but so little rewards.

The Coinmarketcap activities are pretty nice, the only downside is that they pay not immediately like Coinbase does. I did receive coins such as GRT in the past, they gave 10 tokens valued at $5 but by the time I received them they're were worth $15. I am sure that REVV will go up as well.

I could not post it as a separate post, because of my karma, therefore I post it here as a comment, because when I get to needed karma, this may be irrelevant and not helpful at all. There were also links (I at least marked spots like this /link was here to /) , but for them, I need even more karma.. this post without them will seem even more like FUD, but it is not. **Superfarm (red flags?), Enjin, Efinity - NFTs & gaming** Disclaimer: I have ENJ, wanted to buy SUPER (but when I saw a blank website I hesitated and still don't know what to think about it), will probably buy Efinity when possible. Hey everyone, I want to gather global crypto crowd knowledge about the Superfarm project and its competitors - mainly Enjin, Efinity (announced a few days ago). This may seem like FUD on Superfarm, but it is not meant this way, I just want to gather information, because what I found was not enough. Story part: I was watching the youtube channel of the creator of Superfarm a few months before he announced his own project (early December). He was talking about many things from DeFi to NFTs and NFTs in gaming. It sounded like he was talking about Enjin and what they are doing for few years. He never covered ENJ only once answered a question about it something like "Yea ENJ is the legacy project" (It was before ENJin pumped hard). I was confused at that time but a few weeks later (somewhere in January) he announced his own project in NFT gaming space it all made sense (he was not paid by Enjin and also has his own project in the same field). There was said something along the lines that he and his group can reach 1m followers on different channels and SUPER will be huge -> and it really is. I was not following the project because it had not a website with details (roadmap, whitepaper), only one medium article (maybe two) at that time. I thought that there will be ICO and stumbled upon polka starter and launchpads -> I was already late and did not know how things work right now when you want to invest in a new project (I would not probably invest in ICO, but wanted to know what was ICO price). So I decided to wait for SUPER to hit the market and buy it from it (after the initial pump and dump of course). I saw the project go from highs to lows, then stabilizing around 1,20, website nowhere. After reading /link was here to medium article/ superfarm transparency report I saw that only 1% was sold to the public (I'm not sure if P3 Lottery was for the public or not, if yes 16% was sold to the public), and now is only 10% circulating. So 99% (or 84%) of the project was sold privately or is held by creators/advisors or is assigned for development. When you look at the price for all rounds, it is under 0,025$ (and 0,025$ was for IDO) so for perspective: * Seed round price: $0.003 / SUPER * P1 price: $0.0045 / SUPER * P2 price: $0.0067 / SUPER * P3 price: $0.01 / SUPER * Public IDO price: $0.025 / SUPER Those who bought at these prices, good for them, what baffles me is how it got to 1$ and more instantly. Was it because they can reach the broad public and hype the project? Or is there any information about the project, which suggests that it will be the next big thing? Why am I writing this long post you may ask? Well, I saw a new ATH for SUPER, was curious if the website is still blank or not and found out, it is not! I was really happy to read the whitepaper and what they are proposing to do and how, but I found only NFT sale. So more money to founders/company because these are Genesis NFTs, you will get perks by buying these, even SUPER token airdrops, which may compensate for buying them in long run. There is at least roadmap, but it is without dates or quarters. So I decided to check Reddit itself for more information. Reddit part: Today I decided to find more information on SUPER project, on the community subreddit I found a red flag post /link was here to superfarm subreddit post/ and after reading it I decided to write my post here. I'm writing this probably 1h by now because I feel puzzled, I do not want to talk bad about anyone (or harm them by this post) and at the same time, I feel I should share my point of view or at least make people think and find information by themself. I am not a fanboy of Eliot, I thought he was a generous guy, who helped a lot of people to make money, while getting his share from YT, projects he partnered with and talked about (probably bought before he talked about them, but I did not verify this so take it with a grain of salt), which is probably alright. Then his own project came and it felt weird and got weirder (red flags in that article are worth reading). Someone on Reddit found their Github /link was here to SuperFarmDao github/ it is not on their website nor on coingecko. Github project was created a month ago and there is not much to see right now. I hope they have their 2+ years developed project somewhere and Github will be updated soon or at least they will address this. Because there is no whitepaper, I looked at medium and saw on /link was here to medium author called superfarm/ that Superfarm partnered with Parsiq and Injective Protocol. These are two projects that I heard about on Eliot's YT and that he has a partnership with them (there are also mentioned Amonica's TOWER and REVV tokens but I do not remember him talking about them, I also do not watch him that often after he announced SUPER token). I'm still puzzled about SUPER token price because these were expected or at least could be expected announcements, they were already his partners, but it is pumping the price of token even higher Enjin and Efinity - and why am I mentioning them Enjin is a project focused on blockchain gaming NFTs and they have their multiverse (Superfarm has superverse /link was here to medium article about part 2: superverse/, Efinity was long talked about scaling solution and was announced a few days ago for real (not date yet). It will be the blockchain for NFTs on Polkadot. Enjin had its bull run last month or so and has a circulation supply of 90% with a fully diluted valuation 2,532,814,322 $. Why am I talking about this? Enjin has been on market for years now, and its fully diluted valuation is lesser than SUPER's token, which fully diluted valuation is 3,015,890,695 $ with 10% circulation supply. For me (probably because I invested in ENJ) it feels like the SUPER project is mostly overhyped and is proposing something that ENJ is already (at least for the most part) doing (there are many games on ENJ, I played only LostRelics so do not know if others are any good, but they already use ENJ token for gaming NFTs and not only for gaming NFTs). Efinity will be NFT highway (not released yet, but the team behind it proved themselves before (Enjin) -> and from that red flag subreddit post it seems that there was another project, where Eliot was co-founder and now is not anymore). What do you think about Superfarm project? Are you a bit concerned about the project itself (development progress, website without much information, no whitepaper), price of SUPER token (too high for what it does right now)? What NFT projects outside the top 200 in MC do you guys like? Been looking at TVK and REVV. Both seem interesting. Unless I’m mistaken, TVK has a partnership for Kong vs Godzilla NFT’s, and that movie is coming out at the end of the month I think. REVV is involved with F1 I believe? At least I see F1 all over their site. The new F1 season starts in the 28th of March which is quite bullish.
