No clue on my percentages and I'm too lazy to do the calculation. I'm going for big gains this bullrun. I didn't have a lot to invest in, so I allocated more towards smaller market cap cryptos with low circulation, like MOVR. It used to be $500 and I got in at $4. It is my biggest bag and is now at $23.
Just a quick note to say that my best investments in the crypto space have been funding parachains in the DOT ecosystem. The Parachain model is that your tokens are contributed through crowdfunding auctions and then placed in a smart contract for 12-months (Kusama) and 2-years (Dot) if the procjet wins. You **always** receive these tokens back and the end of the lease period. In returning for supporting a project, you receive an airdrop of their native token. While some of these tokens have had no value, some have resulted in huge returns for contributors. If you contributed to Moonriver, you receved an ATH of $7k of MOVR for each KSM contibuted (currently valued at $\~44). If you contirbuted to Astar, you received an ATH of $43 of ASTR per each DOT (currently $7.20). Yes, there were some poor projects, as well as some concerning behaviour by project teams. Much of what is described above can be explained by projects trying to pivot to new chains to create further value (the whole interpoerability thing) or plain failure to deliver. What OP describes is a on-chain governance model that allows for individual projects to burn unclaimed native tokens. **The important thing to note is that every contributor had their invested tokens returned at the end of the lease period** (or soon after - looking at you Equilibrium). OP sounds like he made some poor decisions and is blaming the ecosystem. I note that DOT V2 is moving away from the parachain model to leasing 'coretime'. I note that many currents projects within the ecosystem continue to innovate and deliver incredible value to investors.
MOVR but not on Coinbase. LOW mc for its quality but very low supply. Always runs. Has done a 3x in recent months.
This is bad logic. There is something to what you’re saying, but it’s a completely incomplete inaccurate picture. I’m guessing bitcoin is out of your price range yeah? Cardano has more room to run? Cardano has a total supply of like 50 billion. B. Billion. Bitcoin has 21 million. Ethereum and solana have roughly 300-500 million. Cardano. 50 billion. If cardano acquired the market cap of bitcoin, which let’s be honest, will never happen, each Ada would be worth about $25. You have to consider total supply when evaluating token price. Like crazy xrp maxis thinking $100 a coin is possible (it’s not, not with that total supply). Xrp would have to match bitcoins market cap to reach about $10 a coin. Granted I’m insane, but given price history, total supply, and actual use case - I believe KSM and MOVR to be extremely undervalued right now. There’s that whole insane thing though…

yep polkadot and it should be on any reputable exchange. it was founded by gavin wood, cofounder of ETH. the DOT ecosystem (DOT/KSM/MOVR etc.) accounts for a huge majority of my alt investments. must say that i am in no a way a financial advisor and am barely financially literate enough to not starve to death but my dumb brain sure likes DOT.
Any thoughts on Kasuma, DOT and MOVR?

Layer 2 marketing is bad. For example I don’t any projects on polygon. What is happening on polygon? I have no idea. Don’t know of anything from 2021 bull Tim either. But, I was using AVAX, FTM, BSC hell even MOVR religiously

Founder here. You cannot get the token off of Moonriver. We will soon be deploying a new contract for the token, powered by Axelar for bridging and at home canonically on Moonbeam, and there will be a one-way migration from MOVR to Moonbeam when that happens (we are ready with infra and code, just been waiting for axelar to deploy one thing in their infra to mainnet for the past 2 months). From Moonbeam, you will be able to migrate to any other EVM.
The easiest is to find a CEX with moonriver comparability and move the tokens that way. You'll need some MOVR for gas. If you don't need to do anything yet you can wait.

It all depends on which coin you are holding, like one of my coin name MOVR is trading around the 4$ and his last all time high was near to 500$, so i know it is not going to be like that for this coin

I got 10k of those. Insane how I once bought it for $15 and now it's $0.20. Same goes for MOVR, bought it at $150, sold it for $500, currently sitting at under $5.

There are still coins doing amazing runs though, look at AXIE, went from sub $1 to over $100. Same thing with MOVR, EGLD, etc.

Starting out would be coingecko. Just to look at the basic tokenomics. Then look into the Devs. You aren't investing in a coin, you're investing in the Devs. Then look for an active community. Usually on Telegram or Discord. An inactive community is not a good sign. Am active community is good, unless it's full of bots. With the AI stuff, bots can be more challenging to spot than before. But still easy enough to figure out. Juicest coins have a max supply around 10M tokens, with most coins distributed already in a somewhat fair way. And an extremely active community. Last bull market examples would be like MOVR and RMRK. Both kinda 💩 coins, but had unbelievable tokenomics and 100x'd easy.

I got greedy and thought "at this rate this is gonna be $1,000,000 in 4 months" so I held most of it. Cashing out at around $55k for everything.

There was a time when i used to be a big fan about the DOT and its parachain where coins like KSM, MOVR, GLMR, KILT were my favorite but now not getting same feeling

It's almost impossible to predict which coin outside the top 100 will boom from a bear market My tip would probably be go for your best 3-5 coins, and hope that 1 moons come the next bull. Be also with the mindset that you might lose it all. Personally I have small bags of MOVR. Gala and KSM (i don't own KSM now, but it was quite big the last bull run) might be decent shouts as well, but DYOR

I'm super happy with my astar but wish I sold my MOVR before mainnet went live. I put in like $60 on the solarbeam defi and it got up to $600 before crashing to it's current value that might not even be worth the $60 including the rewards lol

In all seriousness if you want a x10, which is a 1000% gain you probably should be looking outside the top 100 which is riskier than a coin flip That being said I'll probably go with MOVR or KDA. Solid coins in the DOT ecosystem with ATHs more than 10x away from current prices.
Moonbeam - GLMR - EVM Compatible chain built on Polkadot this can easily do a 100x next cycle imo Moonriver - MOVR - Moobeams test net chain built on Kusama.

ASTR because it’s one of DOT major parachains. Easy to stake compared to GLMR. Not inflationary like GLMR. Not being ERC20 means easy to transfer with no outrageous fee. Supported by many native Polkadot wallets. The other I would invest is GLMR and to a degree MOVR. GLMR issue is the maximum number of nominators rewarded per validator, and the minimum amount required to be competitive among validators kind of like Polkadot. Not so sure about MOVR and KSM future. KSM would be the other one I would consider. Lastly, ACA if it makes a comeback from the minting error/hack. So far, compared to LUNC/USTC. I think ACA/AUSD is handling the situation much better and didn’t collapse in days like LUNC did.
True. Moonsama cames to mind as one of the best examples, what you get playing minecraft allows you to craft objects that are sold in a market place All in MOVR (Moonriver, polkadot parachain)
both are good and solid but real money is inside their ecosytem (cosmos may be near or aurora) Dot (MOVR or moonbeam or KSM) just IMO

There are so many alt coin that is in my list and i would love to buy them in the cheap price here is well. But the major coin that are in my list is DOT, MATIC, AVAX, ATOM, MOVR and i think the list is soo long here is well.
Well sure but I sold most of my ksm at peak hype last year. Just kept a few to invest in a couple of loans. MOVR paid more than the ksm value I’ve put at that time. Now that the coins have quite a low value you don’t take as much risk.
Okay, the "hype-phase" of the crowdloans are done. And I wouldn't recommend anyone expect a crowdloan to turn out like MOVR did, it has proven to be a complete one-off, so far at least.
Crowdloans are not done tho. They’re gonna keep on going. If you’re interested in lending your coins for the auctions, ksm might be just as profitable as dot maybe even more (see MOVR)
If you look at the price action, I would say they expected a nice ROI (especially considering you get your investment back later, albeit at a lower USD value), and they look advantage of their opportunity. The only coin from the loans to NOT top out at it's initial listing, was MOVR, and that's due to them being the least VC invested project of them all. For the rest of them, the price was suppressed right from the get go due to the volume of VC dumpage going on, as they have no attachments to anything other than making money, so it's no skin off their back to crush the price. You gotta first understand that there is no incentive for a VC to continue holding once they get their bag, their exposure to the coin only adds more risk to their portfolio, which most of them tend to manage pretty well.
If you are the alt lover then i think the list is soo freaking long to buy now. I will start with the ETH, BNB. DOT, AVAX, MOVR, MATIC, ATOM, ALGO, ADA, and many more into that list is well.
I don't know what exactly is going on in the algo here, plus coingeko is also suffering from the some volatility is well. other day they were doing that thing for the MOVR and now they are repeating the same thing for the ALGO.

I think it completely depends on the personally choice specially you are asking in the CC sub you will find the so many coins. If i were you i will pick the BITCOIN, ETH, DOT,MATIC, LRC,ALGO,MOVR,ATOM and may be little bit shit coin.

So bullish on DOT ecosystem rn. Nova wallet now allows easy staking-ish for Moonriver and Moonbeam, and Astar. Minimum amounts still apply but compared to before it’s way easier to stake. Rates are decent too. Still not as easy as IBC but way easier. Not encouraging people to invest more but for those who already hold MOVR/GLMR/ASTR might be better than letting them sitting on/dealing with uncertainty on CEX, or LP on DEX.

Moonsama (minecraft + nft) on MOVR it's an absolute outlier . NFT to play are sitting at $84k and people is making 1-4k every weekend. They are creating new projects... and I am getting in. RMRK on skybreach and Strange Clan are other projects I am interested. Strange Clan is using Unreal engine and you will use cloud computing for the gpu . All in cosmos. Of course is years far away but... Play2Own is the way to go. Of course this is a huge gamble... but so it's everything in crypto but BTC
Even some of my alts are dump more than this still no one is talking about those. Look at the AVAX and MOVR two of the good project and finding hard to survive in bear market.
But there are some very good gems is well that if you pick them in the bear market they will make you the hell lot of money. If you look at the DOT, ADA, MATIC, ATOM, LRC, MOVR and there are many more in the list is well.

im bag holding ada, Iota, xrp so those are the main ones i'll look to average down with. but also if we're starting fresh on a new bull run i may even look to invest in a few other alts. before the crash i was interested the MOVR, QUICK and CKB. but i want to feel confident they survive before investing
There are two type of the coins or you can say investment. One if safe one and that is BTC or ETH. But if you are willing to take some risk then DOT,ATOM,CRO,LINK,ALGO,NEAR,MOVR are the ones.
Well, they shouldn't. It's a bear market. I too haven't sold anything that isn't a stable. I've been holding my UTK and MOVR strong.
