Back when I was more naive I got talked into XNK UDOO and ONG1 by a slimy YouTuber. I will never trust his opinions again. I can only blame myself but man do I despise that guy now! 100% believe he was taking money to talk about those companies just to dump on us and didn't even believe what he was saying.

It's the Ontology (ONT) wallet. Right now the current node cycle is yielding around 31% APY which is still exponentially better than most other wallet offers. If you're not familiar though, you'll need to have ONG (gas) in the wallet first to do any kind of staking. Yields also produce more ONG but it's kind of a pita swap to ONT before re-staking at a higher price.

If you are looking to stake via Exodus, make sure you have some ONG as well. It costs 0.05 ONG for stake and unstake actions. I think Exodus may actually gift you 0.1 ONG if you request it and have ONT in your wallet.
I have healthy bags of ONT staked, the return is great but its paid out in ONG. Not sure how great it is for a long term investment but its relatively stable.

ONT - made multiple mistakes with this. Bought it because I diversify probably more than I should. Then I noticed ONT had a high staking APY on Exodus wallet so transferred it there. Could not stake it because I had no ONG, its separate gas token and had to beg for some. By that point I decided to just give up on it and transferred it back to an exchange to sell it.

ONT in ONTO wallet and getting 40-50% APY in ONG— this is hands down the biggest earner and I use payouts to invest in other projects after each epoch. NEO via NEOLINE on their governance page (variable APY but fairly high) Of course making bags bigger of ALGO, SOL, XTZ, ATOM, etc.

Actually I’ve thought about this before. I would love to buy a lot of land and protect it from gentrification. In strategic locations(like roads) place symbolic natural sculptures that show that nature it’s fighting back. My country also has problems with violence so in order to scare the bad guys I’d create a dynamic where society points bad guys(Twitter, news, etc), and if there is proof enough that they are guilty then I’d pay a third party men to punish the bad ones, leave a sign and start the game again. I know this is a crazy idea and I instead would put more money into ONG who focus in education of youth.

Someone had asked a question about wallets and then deleted the comment. I don’t want to delete my answer though. “What do you recommend for a wallet?” is the general question. Depends on the coin(s). Exodus is probably the best multi-coin wallet for a transition from exchange to cold storage. It’s a nice interface and easy to get setup but prone to some issues. Certainly suggest Exodus over Atomic wallet, which I have nothing but bad things to say after my experience. Coinomi is a good multi-coin wallet if you like paper wallets. It’s got an easy to use sweep feature. For Ethereum Metamask is the best choice for dapp exploration. But if you’re open to experimenting ONTO wallet works as an Ethereum wallet and has mobile support for most Ethereum dapps (Uniswap, SushiSwap, AAVE, MakerDAO and more) as well as Binance Chain and Polygon as well (mainnet not ERC20). You do not need ONTO/ONG to use ONTO wallet. MyEtherWallet (MEW) is also worth considering. In general I always favour native wallets. For myself I have mostly Cosmos assets so I use Keplr and Cosmostation (both have Ledger support). For NEAR I use NEAR wallet but keep Moonlet for a mobile alternative. It’s not very convenient but I prefer having multiple seeds and various wallets instead of all of my eggs in one basket, no matter how secure that basket may be.

I bought some ONT back in 2018 when it had just launched, it was roughly $6 a pop and one of the few cryptos with staking rewards, together with NEO. Its value plunged fairly quickly after ICO and never recovered as you can see from CoinGecko or CMC. Is the project dead? No idea, but like with NEO these two are not top mcap cryptos anymore and there are many more cryptos now with staking rewards, and the rewards are in kind too rather than in a second currency. My personal advice, based on me losing 80% of the investment and not really seeing a satisfying return in terms of Ontology Gas (ONG, which the staking reward is paid in), is to buy something else instead.

I have Ontology on Exodus. It was a real pain to even stake it because it requires Ontology Gas (ONG), a separate token which happens to be the reward from staking. The only problem is its damn near impossible to get ONG anywhere, certainly not on exchanges or the swapping exchanges I checked. Basically the only way I could get it was swapping a bunch of ETH for ONG directly on the Exodus wallet. So now I have a bag of ONT and ONG. Moreover, the rewards get distributed every 60k blocks, which actually can take awhile (7-10 days). And you get your first reward after 2 60k block sets. So its a bit of a hassle but I suppose worth it for the high yield if you intend to hold for awhile.
ATH for OnT this bull run was 2.95…ONG spiked briefly for less than an hr and hit 3.xx this year so far.
Nope, on their wallet you pick a pool. It’s just varies depending on ONT to ONG price ratio, right now. But I’ve been consistently getting enough reward to be at 35-45% by year end.
Actually I’m not referring to a liquidity pool, my rewards would be much higher than that. I am actually making roughly 40% staking my ONT on a candidate node. I am rewarded in their gas ONG. Google ONT Staking calculator; hell even exodus is paying 12% for staking ONT, you just higher rewards by staking on their wallet.

Ontology staking provides like 12-14% APY. Only catch is you need ONG to initiate the stake. Kinda like NEO.
