I thought, “surely this new 2020 democratic administration will correct their marijuana laws. Better buy Weedmaps (MAPS) now!”
I think I read somewhere MAPS is debt free with cash on hand, so there's very low insolvency risk. Anyways, dead capital isn't a good thing if the company's revenues keep dwindling the stock at best will meander, at worst slide off until it's selling for a bit more than cash on hand.
Doesn’t mean hes wrong yet. Long term thesis on a stock doesn’t mean it won’t drop short term. I have no conviction in MAPS but he does , and he might be right. You can’t call it yet.
>where was that guy promoting MAPS? Assuming his investment is real, he's down about $800,000 since his post.
Interesting price movement today as a few names have continued to hold up better than others....where was that guy promoting MAPS? It's taken a beating. Him and the RYM guy can battle it out for biggest and craziest bets!
MAPS is down to $0.79....we tried to warn ya...
You are so wrong in your 'thesis', and now even worse is the CONSTANT attempt to save your own ass by dragging others down with you I can only hope here that karma is gonna be a real b\*tch to ruthless \*\*\*\*s like you! ps .. or the mods ban your a$$ and stop this worthless pumping of yours DISCLAIMER to ALL .. this shill is a$$ deep in a bad investment here in MAPS and is looking for a way out. Don't let that be own your hard earned dollars
Flooding the forum with useless pump posts regarding your personal investment does nothing to add value here Anybody really buying into this guys crap needs only to scroll out on the five year chart for this POS stock called ' MAPS ' and then stay very, VERY far away
You mean declining revenue, a few thousand users and no moat? If you are so confident in your play why are you trying to pushing MAPS so hard? This thing is a turd and you have a timebomb on your hands. GTI isn’t on Weedmaps in my area and neither are the other big companies. Once a company has enough market share they don’t need WM. This company is a dog.
I don’t. In every developed cannabis market, there always ends up being an oversupply of flower. I don’t see the long term story with MSOs and producers. Green Thumb is fine, but they’re going to be eventually selling a commodity. I think MAPS has far more upside.
You're free to have your opinion on this. I have no intention of selling MAPS, and I've added about $50k today alone.
>Most cannabis stocks have already doubled since rescheduling discussions began. MAPS briefly moved higher but returned to pre-catalyst levels, making it the only remaining asymmetric opportunity in the space. It is the only cannabis stock I own for this reason. This sounds like hopium based on charts rather than actual due diligence
Weedmaps is a dead man walking. They can't advertise vapes since they are in the app store on iphone. And why not just skip the middle man and go right to the dispensary to order? I don't see MAPS as being anymore frictionless or having a better mousetrap. The only thing they have going for it is the fact that you can shop multiple stores simultaneously.
Why do I need maps though? I’m just thinking personally, If wanted to buy Cannabis at dispensary I would just open up google maps and search for the ones that are close to me. I’m just going to whichever one is nearby. I wouldn’t even know that there was this MAPS app. Thoughts?
There is a big cult following online. Graphic novels are now coming out and YouTube is full of these things called MAPS which is a project full of animators that recreate a story from the lore over a song.

Have you looked at MAPS? Consistently profitable and could scale wildly in the event of rescheduling.
1. I’m not putting out a price target. I have one in mind, but it’s meaningless until rescheduling and SAFER banking actually happen. Those are the key catalysts that would make any valuation realistic. 2. MAPS’s real moat is its user base, catalog, brand partnerships, and the fact that it has the majority of dispensaries on its platform. I’ve spoken with several dispensary owners. They don’t love the fees, but they keep paying because Weedmaps drives meaningful traffic and sales. That’s why MAPS has remained profitable even while the rest of the industry is struggling.
Posting here: MAPS is the majority of my portfolio ($4 Million position). My thesis why & position in comments. Most cannabis stocks have already doubled since rescheduling chatter started. MAPS hasn’t moved. That’s what makes it interesting. It’s profitable, unaffected by 280E, and trading near pre-news levels. It’s the only asymmetric bet left in the space. --- ### 1) Setup and valuation MAPS is **listed on NASDAQ**, which brings transparency, credibility, and easier access to capital. The company has **10+ years of mostly profitable operations** and over **$50 million in cash**. It trades around **1x revenue**, a bargain for a tech marketplace. The stock is still trading near where it was *before* the recent cannabis news. Right now, the market is only pricing in **tax savings from 280E**, not the **broader industry shift** that comes with it. Lower taxes will make the legal market more competitive against the illicit market, increase marketing budgets, and drive higher transaction volumes. Meanwhile, many MSOS and growers are already **up ~2x** from a few months ago — huge downside risk if rescheduling stalls. MAPS isn’t affected by 280E, which makes it an **asymmetric bet**: limited downside, real upside. --- ### 2) Distribution, marketplace, and delivery moat **Flower is a commodity** with razor-thin margins. The value is in **distribution**, and MAPS dominates it, especially now that **Leafly is near insolvency**. MAPS is a **tech marketplace that hosts most of the dispensaries in the country** and connects them to a large **active user base** of consumers searching for legal cannabis. It’s the main discovery and advertising platform for the entire industry. Weedmaps also **lists independent, licensed delivery services** and aggregates demand, making it the **primary channel** for legal delivery. No state allows independent contractors to deliver marijuana. Only **W2 dispensary employees** or licensed mobile dispensaries can do it legally. DoorDash has added a few hemp products, but the concentrations are weak and mostly synthetic. Unless cannabis is fully descheduled, **gig delivery apps won’t be allowed** to deliver a Schedule 3 drug. --- ### 3) Rescheduling and 280E If rescheduling removes 280E, **MAPS becomes a deductible marketing expense** for clients. That means better margins for clients and higher ad and platform spending for MAPS. --- ### 4) SAFE or SAFER banking and payments optionality If banking reform passes, MAPS can start taking **commissions on billions in platform transactions**. With some quick napkin math: - Assume a **5% take rate** on platform sales - That’s roughly **$1.60 per share** in additional value Dispensaries are independently owned and generally **don’t have their own apps or payment systems**, so MAPS is perfectly positioned to handle transactions directly. --- ### 5) Hemp and illicit market enforcement If **hemp synthetics are banned**, consumers will move back to legal, regulated cannabis — directly benefiting MAPS. Enforcement is already ramping up against illegal grows and unregulated hemp operations, especially those tied to **Chinese ownership**. - Video on this topic: https://www.youtube.com/live/Tw23WzVR51U?si=ilBbdZPDkiXyenz1 - Heritage Foundation report: https://www.heritage.org/china/report/invasion-the-homeland-how-illegal-chinese-owned-marijuana-farms-have-consumed-rural Even conservative groups are now **pro-regulation** and calling for federal crackdowns. That shift favors compliant, established platforms like MAPS. --- ### 6) Insider alignment and incentives Founder CEO **Doug Francis** and **Justin Hartfield** have **never sold shares**. Doug also restructured his comp plan to take **less cash and more stock**, and it **pays out if the stock doubles or quadruples**, serious alignment with shareholders. --- ### 7) Product experience I use the app personally and think it’s great. The product works and has real-world stickiness. --- ### Risks 1. If **hemp completely takes over** and cannabis becomes easier to access than alcohol (which would require full descheduling), MAPS’s edge weakens. 2. If **rescheduling stalls** and the entire industry keeps bleeding, MAPS could struggle alongside everyone else. --- My opinion only. Not investment advice.
Didn't see your post, but I like MAPS a lot. Very impressive cash generation over the past 1-2 years. My only issue is their lower guidance for the current quarter, and the co-founders pulling their buyout offer (at what seemed to be a very reasonable price).
$MAPS back on uptrend. $SOND a hidden gem.
Lol. There are plenty of ways to make money in the market. Swing trade. Options trading. Not to just invest and bag hold. Profit off SOND since bottom. NCNA burned me on RS. In at bottom so in range of break even profit. Favor of MAPS pullback cannabis sector is quiet.
Which companies are you buying? What do you think about MAPS? Seems to be a very cheaply valued SaaS cannabis company!

Anybody thinking we will get some good weed market news for things like MAPS, TLRY, or UGRO?
1. SNDL 2. TLRY 3. MSOS 4. MAPS 5. MSOX for shits and giggles
I've been holding MAPS for a while now, up 48% as of today, my only weed related holding that's been in the green for the majority of the time I've held it.
I was curious as well and this is what I found: [September 2025- Colorado DOT renewal](https://money.tmx.com/en/quote/MAPS/news) [April 2025-Radiodetection Strategy](https://money.tmx.com/en/quote/MAPS/news) [August 2025-JAVAD Distribution Deal](https://finance.yahoo.com/news/prostar-javad-gnss-announce-worldwide-120000913.html) [July 2024-New Clients Announcement](https://finance.yahoo.com/news/prostar-announces-record-revenue-q2-120000469.html)
I don't get a lot of chips to play with for good reason, but my strategy has been to buy 100 shares of stocks like these every week. I am targeting flatliners that are in the dollar price area, many have popped well for me - CISO, OCGN, PROK, URG, SMTK, LEXX, CTMX, OPEN, MAPS, DVLT, URG. Open especially, what I would have given to go all in back in June when it caught my eye around .50 a share
Look at stocks between $1-2, good market cap, trade volume and relatively stable PE ratio. Tons of those stocks are hitting for me rn, PROK, CISO, RMCO, MAPS, CTMX. I flipped to a strategy of targeting stocks that I think are undervalued and in prime manipulation territory. OPEN caught my eye at .50 in June as part of this strategy.
I heard someone mentioned MAPS before
NIO, DTST, DOUG, BITF → all have clear reasons analysts and traders still watch them. If you want squeeze/meme potential → OPEN, AMC, MAPS. If you want moonshots → STIM, CURI.
I don’t normally make calls but wanna give it a shot for next week. All these plays are under $5: NIO, DTST, DOUG, BITF → all have clear reasons analysts and traders still watch them. If you want squeeze/meme potential → OPEN, AMC, MAPS. If you want moonshots → WKSR, CURI. Looking for feedback.

Anyone here have $MAPS on their radar?
MAPS/MAPSW stock and warrants gradually increasing. This is good. This is healthy. This is bullish. Gem play. Get in. 🤑🤑🤑
I've mostly done great, and still own most of what I initially invested this year (i.e. took some profits, but not too heavily). My only mistake has been in buying MAPS - This one just doesn't seem to want to go up lately, even when MSOS is doing well.
Any thoughts on MAPS? I've always been impressed by their cash generation, and how they've been able to grow their cashpile over the past few years. I'm guessing that guidance wasn't good for next quarter, but they seem like they could be an under the radar pick if S3 happens, as the MSO's will have more cash to spend on advertising.
Blackrock and Vanguard are invested in $MAPS.
What a week! HGRAF, TNXP, NVNI, MAPS. Ready to reload for next week - hoping to see some pops from PHHRF, WKSP & RZLV
First of all, and this **is** financial advice, sell your Intel stock and just buy more Google. The opportunity cost of your money doing absolutely nothing while *hoping* for an Intel comeback will have accumulated value holding Google instead Now for the NFA, I'd stay the hell away from cannabis stocks if you're building a portfolio and not trading like most people here. If I absolutely had to recommend one, I'd recommend MAPS (Weedmaps) because it's the only cannabis company that's actually net profitable
Same thing. I was able to buy 500 shares of $MAPS in the mid nineties and sold at $1.15. Made a quickie.
Great win! Do not sell anything, this shit is all about to blow up. I snuck into MAPS at .97 cents average, just 700 shares but that sucker goes to $20+ on the wave if the powers that be reschedule.
MAPS. Low float, software margins. I'm loading up options.
I got pretty lucky entering MAPS right before Q2 earnings thinking it'd be a catalyst... it was a 5th net profitable quarter in a row, with additional cash consolidation and still no debt. The stock price reaction was a nothing-burger but I figured I'd hold since there doesn't seem to be much downside, and was pleasantly surprised with the catalyst over the weekend With today's catalyst I decided to pick up even more (granted I'm playing with house money). IMO it's the best cannabis-related play for those like me with a more conservative risk profile. I believe it's the only **net** profitable cannabis stock out there (please correct me if I'm wrong) with zero debt and healthy cash pile. The net profitability limits downside risk and the zero debt with cash on-hand leaves them in a position to immediately ramp up if there's major relaxation in policy. On the other hand, MAPS is a pretty mature company so I don't think this is some "10X bagger" opportunity but I'd say an interesting one to hold at the very least.
Weedmaps is up this morning 📈 $MAPS. I'll continue to snag warrants. 😲😎

For all the madness that's happening today, here's a chill stock I'm watching that's reporting earnings today - $MAPS Nothing crazy to see here, no short squeeze, no crazy pump and dump swings (as far as I can see), no overseas weirdness. Just a boring penny stock with probably very limited upside and downside risk :)

I just spent some time researching each of these and I think they’re all pretty good. I probably pass on CURI as it seems a little overvalued and I’m not sure about their moat. WKSP, MAPS and WDH all seem like really good picks tho…

alright since we are back on the meme train, lets talk about a small cap that was squeezed like some ripe oranges. sitting at 146m market cap and right at $1 currently a share. one of the most useless apps and websites available to degenerates like us… MAPS needs to be put on the map! Well, maybe you aren't aware that they have reduced their exposure to California intentionally. I can see how one might have a negative view on MAPS if unaware of their expansion in other markets. I never thought that the bid was real. I don't KNOW, but I thought it was an attempt to get someone else to get interested in buying them. It is very cheap - they are right about that!
I consider this to have been my tuition in investing. Investing for all the wrong reasons. At the time I was caught up in the narrative. The idea of pending legalization, and I ignored the fact that this has been happening for the prior 10-15 years. Every year a legalization bill and every year struck down. So, it was foolish to bet on something that hadn’t occurred. If you need legislation to make a business great, then the business by definition, is not great. I liked the idea st the time that they didn’t st all touch the product and offered a tech platform. This was before delivery’s became commonplace a year or so later. I don’t know anyone who uses MAPS of Leafly anymore. People just order from drive thru or delivery dispensaries so their business model is inadequate now. They’re like a phone book model when everyone uses uber. Management was incentivized to make poor decisions. And I failed to consider that as well. I liked the idea that it was the only profitable business in its sector. Looking today, the returns on capital are far too mediocre, mid single digits and otherwise inconsistent since going public. Sure they’re earning a 8% yield on price. But I question the sustainability. Because the model is obsolete now. So to me this business isn’t doing anything that anyone else can replicate easily. So it’s not a good investment. No durable competitive advantage to prevent net margins from being eroded and diluting Reuters. No pricing power. No real utility. If I ask myself will the service they have be meaningful in 10 years. I don’t know that it would be given it’s already obsolete.
Interesting - Was wondering why MAPS was down so much. Had to dig through their SEC filings...Apparently, the buyout offer from the co-founders has been fully withdrawn. They've been cashflow positive for a while now, so perhaps a deterioration in their business is happening right now.

Not in them right now, but am surprised how low MAPS has gone...I've been very impressed at their ability to continue to earn net income, and to grow / compound their cashpile each quarter.
I already told you MAPS I'm up 25% on. Significantly better on my PLTR, SOFI, NVIDIA, and IBIT.
Throwing a fit and the quotes again, shows you’re kinda melting down dude. It shouldn’t destroy your worldview to be wrong I know it’s just us here but if anyone reads down the thread and wants to check this reguard look up WM technologies (MAPS), that’s what he thinks making money looks like. Grain of salt
>Again, you said pot stocks made money, they didn’t and you didn’t Technically your ignorant self is right, because I havnt sold yet, but clearly I'm well in the green with it. And yes, as a bit of a helper for you since you clearly can't read at an adult level, the other company that I shared is profitable. >My post history is evidence I have money Nobody cares or is impressed. Other than yourself, I guess. But like they say, new money is whatyit is... clearly shown by the gold plated AK. There is no accounting for taste. >Enjoy the baseball cards and the 300 bucks but even that I have trouble believing Thanks, I do enjoy them. Like I said, value is of no significance to me. My actual investments are what I care about, like MAPS and plenty of others that are doing incredibly well. Try not shoot your eye out, Ralphie...Hopefully your knowledge about guns is better than your "knowledge“ about what we have discussed here.
Exactly the type of response I'd expect from someone called out for being an obviously ignorant loudmouth. As for the cards, I have no idea, they aren't an investment, I don't sit around tracking their value... I have a portfolio of stocks and options for that, kind of like my investment in MAPS that you are unable to comprehend. Think of the cards this way, it would be kind of like if I saw an ass ugly and god awful tacky gold plated AK47 and bought it. Sometimes you buy things you like, not everything is an investment.
Can you respond to what I actually said, and not what you want to twist the conversation to? And also to be fair, I'll answer this... MAPS. I've been holding for well over a year now and I am up 25%. Additionally, who cares how many stores there are. The free market will sort it out. I'm happy to see this industry creating lots of small businesses and new jobs... Lots of people have new options because of this.
I hold at Aug 2024 prices MO 52 GTI 10 CRL 1.5 TRUL 9ish MAPS .9_
$MAPS $MAPSW undervalued...
$MAPS $MAPSW undervalued...tia
Poeple sleeping on MAPS that low as it was yesterday are crazy. Such a micro cap with 12 profitable earnings in row
$MAPS ER call tommorow.
MAPS is going to make me rich one day, hopefully its in my lifetime ..
CEO of Weedmaps went on a solid rant about politicians just completing fucking this entire cannabis industry during the conference call for $MAPS. Say what you will about the company but I get great bud on it delivered to my house, it’s a great service. If the buy out goes through at 1.70 there’s solid upside from here, the drawn out process of this buyout could mean a higher price.
MAPS is impressive (I don't even own it, by the way)...Even with all the struggles with weed companies, they just continue to generate EBITDA / net income quarter after quarter, and continue to grow their cash pile.
updated Corruption index. US of A in the middle of the pack within the big OECD countries. thats before drump/elon went to work, however [https://www.transparency.de/fileadmin/Redaktion/Bilder/Publikationen\_Cover/Korruptionswahrnehmungsindex/CPI2024\_FINAL\_ALL\_MAPS\_EN.pdf](https://www.transparency.de/fileadmin/Redaktion/Bilder/Publikationen_Cover/Korruptionswahrnehmungsindex/CPI2024_FINAL_ALL_MAPS_EN.pdf)
Yep. Deep ITM leaps and a couple puts bought on different days on top of shares. Sell some premiums/roll on low days to pay for initial buy in. I’ve drastically changed since actively trading instead of “investing.” If investing just buy a chunk and set alerts for when it dips 15% or set a GTC trailing buy limit. Just some ideas I’ve played with! NFA Also, as someone in this field, I think he’s going to do more damage than good long term. He will hype them and create a narrow path via CMPS to accessibility as it will be palatable for this administration. Ketamine is getting more approval. Though I’m curious if the DEA will be abolished / absorbed since Trump wants to designate cartels as terrorist orgs. Big money has been fighting for second place for years but after MAPS failing, it’s a blood bath behind the scenes for funding, corporate espionage, bribery. I wish I were exaggerating 🫤
MAPS as a company, probably little, but most companies are too concerned about the stock price. MAPS as an acquisition by private equity? Maybe a lot if they think it's significantly undervalued, and they can get better access to that value by taking it private. Doubly so if some of the theories about naked shorting, etc are true.
What benefit does MAPS have to go private? Their essentially a software / POS company?!? Why go public to then go back to private?!
