I don't get a lot of chips to play with for good reason, but my strategy has been to buy 100 shares of stocks like these every week. I am targeting flatliners that are in the dollar price area, many have popped well for me - CISO, OCGN, PROK, URG, SMTK, LEXX, CTMX, OPEN, MAPS, DVLT, URG. Open especially, what I would have given to go all in back in June when it caught my eye around .50 a share
Look at stocks between $1-2, good market cap, trade volume and relatively stable PE ratio. Tons of those stocks are hitting for me rn, PROK, CISO, RMCO, MAPS, CTMX. I flipped to a strategy of targeting stocks that I think are undervalued and in prime manipulation territory. OPEN caught my eye at .50 in June as part of this strategy.
I heard someone mentioned MAPS before
NIO, DTST, DOUG, BITF → all have clear reasons analysts and traders still watch them. If you want squeeze/meme potential → OPEN, AMC, MAPS. If you want moonshots → STIM, CURI.
I don’t normally make calls but wanna give it a shot for next week. All these plays are under $5: NIO, DTST, DOUG, BITF → all have clear reasons analysts and traders still watch them. If you want squeeze/meme potential → OPEN, AMC, MAPS. If you want moonshots → WKSR, CURI. Looking for feedback.

MAPS/MAPSW stock and warrants gradually increasing. This is good. This is healthy. This is bullish. Gem play. Get in. 🤑🤑🤑
I've mostly done great, and still own most of what I initially invested this year (i.e. took some profits, but not too heavily). My only mistake has been in buying MAPS - This one just doesn't seem to want to go up lately, even when MSOS is doing well.
Any thoughts on MAPS? I've always been impressed by their cash generation, and how they've been able to grow their cashpile over the past few years. I'm guessing that guidance wasn't good for next quarter, but they seem like they could be an under the radar pick if S3 happens, as the MSO's will have more cash to spend on advertising.
Blackrock and Vanguard are invested in $MAPS.
What a week! HGRAF, TNXP, NVNI, MAPS. Ready to reload for next week - hoping to see some pops from PHHRF, WKSP & RZLV
First of all, and this **is** financial advice, sell your Intel stock and just buy more Google. The opportunity cost of your money doing absolutely nothing while *hoping* for an Intel comeback will have accumulated value holding Google instead Now for the NFA, I'd stay the hell away from cannabis stocks if you're building a portfolio and not trading like most people here. If I absolutely had to recommend one, I'd recommend MAPS (Weedmaps) because it's the only cannabis company that's actually net profitable
Same thing. I was able to buy 500 shares of $MAPS in the mid nineties and sold at $1.15. Made a quickie.
Great win! Do not sell anything, this shit is all about to blow up. I snuck into MAPS at .97 cents average, just 700 shares but that sucker goes to $20+ on the wave if the powers that be reschedule.
MAPS. Low float, software margins. I'm loading up options.
I got pretty lucky entering MAPS right before Q2 earnings thinking it'd be a catalyst... it was a 5th net profitable quarter in a row, with additional cash consolidation and still no debt. The stock price reaction was a nothing-burger but I figured I'd hold since there doesn't seem to be much downside, and was pleasantly surprised with the catalyst over the weekend With today's catalyst I decided to pick up even more (granted I'm playing with house money). IMO it's the best cannabis-related play for those like me with a more conservative risk profile. I believe it's the only **net** profitable cannabis stock out there (please correct me if I'm wrong) with zero debt and healthy cash pile. The net profitability limits downside risk and the zero debt with cash on-hand leaves them in a position to immediately ramp up if there's major relaxation in policy. On the other hand, MAPS is a pretty mature company so I don't think this is some "10X bagger" opportunity but I'd say an interesting one to hold at the very least.
Weedmaps is up this morning 📈 $MAPS. I'll continue to snag warrants. 😲😎

Well, maybe you aren't aware that they have reduced their exposure to California intentionally. I can see how one might have a negative view on MAPS if unaware of their expansion in other markets. I never thought that the bid was real. I don't KNOW, but I thought it was an attempt to get someone else to get interested in buying them. It is very cheap - they are right about that!
I consider this to have been my tuition in investing. Investing for all the wrong reasons. At the time I was caught up in the narrative. The idea of pending legalization, and I ignored the fact that this has been happening for the prior 10-15 years. Every year a legalization bill and every year struck down. So, it was foolish to bet on something that hadn’t occurred. If you need legislation to make a business great, then the business by definition, is not great. I liked the idea st the time that they didn’t st all touch the product and offered a tech platform. This was before delivery’s became commonplace a year or so later. I don’t know anyone who uses MAPS of Leafly anymore. People just order from drive thru or delivery dispensaries so their business model is inadequate now. They’re like a phone book model when everyone uses uber. Management was incentivized to make poor decisions. And I failed to consider that as well. I liked the idea that it was the only profitable business in its sector. Looking today, the returns on capital are far too mediocre, mid single digits and otherwise inconsistent since going public. Sure they’re earning a 8% yield on price. But I question the sustainability. Because the model is obsolete now. So to me this business isn’t doing anything that anyone else can replicate easily. So it’s not a good investment. No durable competitive advantage to prevent net margins from being eroded and diluting Reuters. No pricing power. No real utility. If I ask myself will the service they have be meaningful in 10 years. I don’t know that it would be given it’s already obsolete.
Interesting - Was wondering why MAPS was down so much. Had to dig through their SEC filings...Apparently, the buyout offer from the co-founders has been fully withdrawn. They've been cashflow positive for a while now, so perhaps a deterioration in their business is happening right now.

Not in them right now, but am surprised how low MAPS has gone...I've been very impressed at their ability to continue to earn net income, and to grow / compound their cashpile each quarter.
I already told you MAPS I'm up 25% on. Significantly better on my PLTR, SOFI, NVIDIA, and IBIT.
Throwing a fit and the quotes again, shows you’re kinda melting down dude. It shouldn’t destroy your worldview to be wrong I know it’s just us here but if anyone reads down the thread and wants to check this reguard look up WM technologies (MAPS), that’s what he thinks making money looks like. Grain of salt
>Again, you said pot stocks made money, they didn’t and you didn’t Technically your ignorant self is right, because I havnt sold yet, but clearly I'm well in the green with it. And yes, as a bit of a helper for you since you clearly can't read at an adult level, the other company that I shared is profitable. >My post history is evidence I have money Nobody cares or is impressed. Other than yourself, I guess. But like they say, new money is whatyit is... clearly shown by the gold plated AK. There is no accounting for taste. >Enjoy the baseball cards and the 300 bucks but even that I have trouble believing Thanks, I do enjoy them. Like I said, value is of no significance to me. My actual investments are what I care about, like MAPS and plenty of others that are doing incredibly well. Try not shoot your eye out, Ralphie...Hopefully your knowledge about guns is better than your "knowledge“ about what we have discussed here.
Exactly the type of response I'd expect from someone called out for being an obviously ignorant loudmouth. As for the cards, I have no idea, they aren't an investment, I don't sit around tracking their value... I have a portfolio of stocks and options for that, kind of like my investment in MAPS that you are unable to comprehend. Think of the cards this way, it would be kind of like if I saw an ass ugly and god awful tacky gold plated AK47 and bought it. Sometimes you buy things you like, not everything is an investment.
Can you respond to what I actually said, and not what you want to twist the conversation to? And also to be fair, I'll answer this... MAPS. I've been holding for well over a year now and I am up 25%. Additionally, who cares how many stores there are. The free market will sort it out. I'm happy to see this industry creating lots of small businesses and new jobs... Lots of people have new options because of this.

MAPS is going to make me rich one day, hopefully its in my lifetime ..
CEO of Weedmaps went on a solid rant about politicians just completing fucking this entire cannabis industry during the conference call for $MAPS. Say what you will about the company but I get great bud on it delivered to my house, it’s a great service. If the buy out goes through at 1.70 there’s solid upside from here, the drawn out process of this buyout could mean a higher price.
MAPS is impressive (I don't even own it, by the way)...Even with all the struggles with weed companies, they just continue to generate EBITDA / net income quarter after quarter, and continue to grow their cash pile.

Yep. Deep ITM leaps and a couple puts bought on different days on top of shares. Sell some premiums/roll on low days to pay for initial buy in. I’ve drastically changed since actively trading instead of “investing.” If investing just buy a chunk and set alerts for when it dips 15% or set a GTC trailing buy limit. Just some ideas I’ve played with! NFA Also, as someone in this field, I think he’s going to do more damage than good long term. He will hype them and create a narrow path via CMPS to accessibility as it will be palatable for this administration. Ketamine is getting more approval. Though I’m curious if the DEA will be abolished / absorbed since Trump wants to designate cartels as terrorist orgs. Big money has been fighting for second place for years but after MAPS failing, it’s a blood bath behind the scenes for funding, corporate espionage, bribery. I wish I were exaggerating 🫤
MAPS as a company, probably little, but most companies are too concerned about the stock price. MAPS as an acquisition by private equity? Maybe a lot if they think it's significantly undervalued, and they can get better access to that value by taking it private. Doubly so if some of the theories about naked shorting, etc are true.
What benefit does MAPS have to go private? Their essentially a software / POS company?!? Why go public to then go back to private?!
MAPS $1.70 non-binding buy-out offer from founders [https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1779474/000110465924129589/xslSCHEDULE\_13D\_X01/primary\_doc.xml](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1779474/000110465924129589/xslSCHEDULE_13D_X01/primary_doc.xml)
Nice list, should also check out Pharmala Biotech (CSE:MDMA) (OTC:MDXXF) Manufacturer and drug development of GMP MDMA- Primarily for PTSD therapy, other uses being studied as well. This company is primed to explode with the recent shift in healthcare in the United States under the Trump Administration. (Pro psychedelic therapy) With Lykos (MAPS) taking a step back after the FDA decision it puts Pharmala in a unique position. They are currently the top supplier of GMP MDMA globally. They have recently just signed supply contracts with institutions such as: Johns Hopkins, Harvard, Yale, Mount Sinai, etc. The new psychedelic center at Mount Sinai is funded by the VA, who recently just announced yesterday funding of 1.5M for the first study of this in over 5 decades. The tides are starting to shift and this is just the tip of the iceberg for what could be to come. They have also just recently signed an LOI with an institution to supply their clinical trial in exchange for the full data license of the results. (Expected to be finalized prior to 2024 calendar year) The supply side is great for revenue but they are also in the works of kicking off their P2 trial for their molecule (APA-01). This is where the potential for the big money is. The FDA's large concern of MDMA therapy was the safety of using generic MDMA as there are a few side effects associated with its use. Pharmala's molecule has been proven to mitigate these side effects with the use of their own molecule which essentially is a form of MDMA that still gives the effective feeling of MDMA but eliminates the risk of side effects. Pharmala also has a JV in Australia (Legalized MDMA therapy July 2023) with Cortexa. It was a slower rollout than expected although it is ramping up as Cortexa's recent update showed an increase in patients and training for licensed practitioners. They currently have an agreement for onshore manufacturing there.
MAPS - WM Technology going up day by day. Anyone know any potential news? All weeds stocks dip down to the ground but this one is up. I just put 2K on this.
No, not at all. This was an awful investment approach and idea, despite being the primary factor for me looking deeply into how to invest the right way. The industry itself is highly regulated, and every year there’s discussion of a bill legalizing, but this has gone on every year since about 2011-ish. The company itself? I see delivery vendors being able to run circles around it. That wasn’t such a prevalent thing back a few years ago, but honestly who even uses MAPS or LEAFLY these days? Most places deliver to you. And that convenience factor has really become a must have for consumers for a lot of things from food to groceries. So, you gotta ask what MAPS is doing that others aren’t, the answer is, not much at all. And their figures over time have reflected this. Poor management, poor industry prospects, and a poor business model. There’s nothing you can get from them, either as their client or a consumer, that you can’t get elsewhere. So it’s not a great business.
u/[UCACashFlow](/user/UCACashFlow/) I dredged up this old post, any thoughts on MAPS currently?
Fucked up so bad selling MAPS lol - I knew how good their earnings were, and took profits at $0.93 (it was a really nice profit though). They're now at $1.30. Investing in cannabis companies just conditions you to take the profit quickly, because you know it most likely won't be there in a few days.
$MAPS has had a nice run since the ER.
Doubling down on LFLY and MAPS.
That's great that Tilray funded that study 10 years ago. However, *this* study is not being done in canada, and I see no sign of it being linked to Tilray whatsoever. >The roughly $13 million trial is being funded by the Michigan Veteran Marijuana Research Grant Program. MAPS...
Ughhh - so annoyed at myself. MAPS had an insanely good earnings report last week (which I knew the second I saw it). I sold the next day for something like 25-30% profit, and it has since just continued to keep running (i.e. up another 20% since then).
MAPS +30% right now...Insanely good ER yesterday.
Thinking about going in heavy(well heavy for my buying power) on shorting MVST and CYCC. Maybe MAPS but it’s been trending towards after peaking during close, will decided closer to open. Trying hard not to think evil things and dump 90% of my buying power into MVST and shorting. But idk FUD turned what could’ve been a $100+ short into only $52, should’ve done a stop loss.
| [***Cash increased to $45.0 million as of September 30, 2024, as compared to $34.4 million as of December 31, 2023.***](https://finance.yahoo.com/news/wm-technology-inc-reports-financial-211500676.html) * ***MAPS Current Market cap: ~$100M*** Not too heavily invested as it always seemed like a near bankruptcy based on the stock performance, but I have been wondering why any Call Options below $2.50 have been completely unavailable for some time. It’s been an interesting week for lots of different sectors.
I'm not super familiar with MAPS beyond the surface. It seems to me that they would greatly benefit from a geographic area like NYC. Is there any truth to that?
Jeez - MAPS absolutely destroyed it. Revs, guidance, EPS, etc. all above estimates. Net Income of $5.3 million this quarter, which is the highest they've had in years.
Well the whole point of RFK is that he is against patents to Pharma so the drug component might have less importance. If anything MAPS/LYCOS which was denied by the FDA might just get approved because its about the process rather than the formulation itself. There is a reason why Rick Doblin is an advisor to Numinus. And every other company CMPS CYBN MNMD also works with Numinus to run their trials so they have first dibs when it will be time to provide the therapy. The drug itself will only likely cost 300$-500$ versus the therapy which will be in the 15K$-20K$ range. Big money will be in the therapy, without the therapy the drug is useless.
A few weeks ago I posted that Blackrock bought up 5% of $MAPS. The Vanguard Group also just released a notice stating they purchased 5%. Any other symbols getting some institutional investments recently?
Playing the MAPS see-saw game...Buy in the low 80's, sell in the high 80's / low 90's.
Blackrock recently purchased a little over 5% of $MAPS (Weedmaps). This company is also getting hit by at least 10 class action lawsuits representing shareholders. Something is about to go down.
United States Cannabis Stocks like CRLBF, MAPS, GRWG, & MSOS ETF.
Any thoughts on MAPS? Bought at $0.84 - Debating whether to take the quick profit, and throw it into some Tier 2's.
Tell that to medical MJ states. The federal government can choose not to enforce laws that states have decided to pursue. So that is the angle MAPS is pursuing, it seems. You are both right and wrong. In addition clinics can obtain schedule 1 licenses for limited research purposes including for use in subjects. LYKOS also has several ongoing studies at VAs in limited number of subjects and other universities such as Emory. See MDMA with prolonged exposure. https://psychedelics.emory.edu/research/index.html#:\~:text=MDMA%20PTSD%20Study,eligible%20to%20enroll%20this%20study. The Emory studies have some of the most recognized experts on PTSD on the planet running it. Early results seems to be encouraging. So were the MAPS phase 3 studies which IMHO should have easliy been approved except for a number of factors including a poorly cited torpedo by ICER, a bunch of zealots over who hate Rick Doblin, and folk chosen by the FDA running their ADCOM who didn't seem to understand PTSD/psychedelics/lack of efficacy of current therapy. There was one person on that panel that knew what the hell he was talking about. Sure there were missteps by MAPS/LYKOS but in a parallel universe it was an easy approval.
It was also recently reported that MAPS is no longer supplying MDMA to researchers and is sending researchers to Pharmala. https://psychedelicalpha.com/news/p%ce%b1-psychedelic-bulletin-172-lykos-scales-back-iit-program-ceo-steps-down-psyence-scoops-up-clairvoyant-for-peanuts-mindstates-moxy-enters-phase-i
The last three supply contracts were with John Hopkins, Harvard Medical school, and The university of Texas. It was recently reported that MAPS is no longer supplying MDMA to researchers and is sending researchers to Pharmala.
Weed de-SPACs are not a great investment but I just checked Weedmaps vs. Leafly and it's kind of crazy how differently they have preformed. I recall at some point some guy here trying to convince me that I should invest in Leafly instead of $MAPS. Couldn't be convinced otherwise smh. Currently have 1k shares of $MAPS at under a dollar.
I like MAPS. No debt and cash flow positive for the last few quarters. If you search up discussion about them on r/weedbiz, MAPS is usually the preferred platform due to the lack of better alternatives. 52% of their customers are based in California, though, so their business model is probably more sensitive to the politics there. As for competition from traditional Big Tech, the legal ambiguiety of Cannabis seems to be scaring them away for now. Eventually, Big Tech may jump in, but it will probably be years before full legalization makes this an option.
Remember when that guy said BULLS GO FROM -0.6% TO -0.3% ON ONE HOURLY CANDLE AND THEY STRAIGHT TO GOOGLE MAPS TO FIND THE NEAREST LAMBO DEALERSHIP. I CANT EVEN I wonder what he’s doing now.
I feel like I saw someone post here recently talking about Bright Green (BGXX) and how it is a scam. That doesn't make sense, but I'm no professional. Can someone explain why this company is (or isn't) worth attention? What about Safe Harbor Financial (SHFS) or Blue Diamond (BLDV)? WeedMaps (MAPS)? I know Grown Rogue (GRUSF/GRIN) is a winner, though I rarely see it spoken of here. I don't intend to leave this post up very long, I'm just curious why none of these names (be they quality or terrible) are discussed. Is that intentional?
Buying heavy on MAPS. Already net income profitable without S3, with a great balance sheet with plenty of cash.
