I made a huge mistake back in 2022/2023 when I thought LNG prices were going through the roof due to Russia cutting off EU, so I put a lot of money in a 3NGL ETF. I did not realize that the average holding period is supposed to be 3 days or less lol. The leverage down is way harder than going up. Especially with commodities that track the futures contracts. A huge spike or drop is usually quickly corrected and you need another spike (russian invasion) or something crazy to get the returns you imagined. So only if you expect multiple crazy events quickly after each other, it makes sense to buy -3 or +3 leveraged ETFs imo

NGL it hurts to see, wondering how to manage the position. In my eyes, nothing that has caused gold to run up has changed that much. There's still QE, global instability (Iran), and rate cuts on the horizon.

It's a money printer for sure but NGL the swings are anything but relaxing. Live and die by the volatility. Love it or watch it go to the moon without you. Buy and hold is mathematically better than 95% of the other scenarios out there. Taking profit here and there is cool, but I always end up running to try to catch the train at the next station.

No, wish I did though. You can't be everywhere. I did catch NVDA when it dropped to the low 170's and that was a good play for me when it popped back up. I have been very careful to live to fight another day and preserve my capital. That was my #1 rule, NGL, it was easy to revenge trade or chase a trade at first. I did that for a few days before I stopped doing it but could be easy to get sucked into that.

NGL European indexes are a pretty good buy these days. You don't get nuked by USD conversion rates and they have solid returns. IBEX35 returned 50%, DAX returned 21.5%. Even the CAC40's 16.1% return was better than SPY.

I got into fselx maybe 18 months ago or so. I had left my job 4/2023 and consolidated the 401k and ira. I had 66k. I broke into 100k maybe June 2024. I was up to 119k as trump took office 3/2025, dropped to 83k in May and am at 163k as of today. It is volatile but it doesn't bother me at all. I am 29 and have 31 years to go. My portfolio is 68% FSELX. Personally I can stomach it and know I am already set for retirement even if I don't keep contributing to my IRA (I will anyway). Other holdings are FNILX 10%, FSPGX 11.2%, FXAIX 7.9%, SPG (1.4% real estate). Also have a separate brokerage account thats all blue chip individual stocks for about 30k that I draw from whenever it goes above 30k for real estate related investing. NGL I am considering re-allocating FSELX to more around 50% but the key here is your time horizon. I personally can't touch the money for 30 years so doesn't really matter in the short term. I would not recommend this kind of risk if you can't stomach watching "money" disappear and re-appear in your account though like I have just in the past 12 months lol.

NGL, I don’t understand the hate towards this stock. Business fundamentals are solid. There is a lot that goes into a stock, but on a pure EPS play you are not going to find many stocks that beat PFE that has bond levels of dividend performance which if things bomb for the stock in a worse case scenario they are likely to just hold and not cut. This stock has a sky high dividend rate for a company 100+ years old. It has survived recessions and depressions and it acquires new biotech in line with industry standards. We can have a debate on their internal innovation, but for a company with EARNINGS in the 10+ billions of dollars range they can probably buy their way out of every patent cliff they have and are actively diversifying their product pipeline as well as investing in LLM partnerships that will keep them current when personalized medicine becomes a reality. I’ll be honest with my vision for this. I hope you all sell. I hope this stock drops below $20 so my DRIP buys me more stock than it would at 40. I’m not selling for the foreseeable future if ever. I’d rather stake my financial future and that of my family on a stock with a solid financial sheet that the public hates for XYZ reasons than just investing in the latest crypto trash or meme stock with an EPS over 30. Do I want PFE to bounce so option traders get a buck? No. Honestly I’d rather you short the stock. Please, from the bottom of my heart prove me wrong. I’ll post on wallstreetbets when everyone shows me the error of my ways. Until then I’ll trust in my understanding of biotech.

NGL I'm tired of having to care about rich farmers that produce corn or soybeans entering bankruptcy. They have separate chapters to it so they don't have to pay tax on land sales/income during that period. The most profitable times to be a farmer is during your bankruptcy. The local, actually small, farmers near me are doing fine. They produce real food and raise livestock. Maybe if in the 40 years we've been arguing with China they swapped to a crop that isn't 98% bought by foreign and given subsidies, they wouldn't be in this problem

Fair enough each to their own tho I think DFLI will surprise you and in a few years you'll have missed the boat. The volume of Reddit sellers will clear out over 3-6 mths once momentum builds. I've made some good money on DFLI on the way up in and had a small amount at 1.09 but my big purchases (as in 90%) of my holding were purchased 0.64-0.80 ... so no bag-holding I'm actually very excited about the next 12 mths as this is a significant and planned investment for me. Patents, big contract announcement upcoming as per earnings call, guy running it is a genius, not AI. NGL it's been a rough month it feels like the timing has been terrible for what they've needed to do re dilution for debt payoff, the market has been very unkind but this is the opportunity to buy.

It's not Nvdia itself that's holding the stock market together, it's the greed of the powerful pouring money into Nvdia to sell shovels to the gold miners. If it wasn't Nvdia, they would be doing to the same thing to any other company that made GPU's to data centers. Nvdia just did it first. But they are by no means that important, the investors could easily switch to a new shovel seller.
