Deep sea mining offers access to rare minerals for green energy and AI, reduces reliance on unstable regions, meets booming demand, supports national security, and promises huge economic returns so tens of billions will be poured in over the next several years. Huge potential in $TMC $MP & OMEX IMO
The United States is boosting investment in deep-sea mining as Lockheed Martin renews seabed licenses, with $TMC and $OMEX positioned to lead the charge in unlocking vast critical mineral reserves essential for defense, energy, and technology, offering major upside potential as demand sky rockets!

OMEX up 45% in the last week
Iβm not uncontent with my decision I just told a bunch of people that Intel at 20 was a good buy and they didnβt like it at all and that made me put less than I was thinking about putting into them. Believe me Iβm not looking towards the last I bought a few hundred shares and a few year long calls of OMEX today I like them I had TMC back when it was sub 1 dollar and that gave me a calm 10x and I think OMEX can do the same.
OMEX is still around?!? Damn I was in that stock 15+ years ago. Are they still searching for shipwrecks?
After locking in the losses on OMEX, I moved from the deep seas into space (ASTS, RKLB, PL) and VOO 50/50. Space did the heavy lifting while VOO holds the line
OMEX, MDAI, PRQR, SOAR, HGRAF, VWAV These are on my watchlist, the last two are past penny stock range but still cheap [5.49, 6.89], are any of you watching these and if so which do you have the most conviction in and why?
OMEX merger news watching for π
Not to worry. At least you're owning it. I'm keeping an eye on OMEX for a future buy.
I feel super guilty about my bad read on OMEX a few days ago and am so sorry. I really thought that it would continue, would not be just a spike and fade. I'm glad for those who made money on the spike and really sorry for the fade. I had stop losses in but also could have played that better.

$OMEX for after the merger
For sure. Not a value trade, only momentum. OMEX is more of an investment.
Got stopped out of OMEX earlier but back in now. Give it a day or two and this will but up around $3-3.50. at least. One billion dollar investment in rare earths mining, way undervalued right now. Just got ripped to shreds by day trading and panic selling but it will climb again.
All the gains have gone negative just because of the ceasefire violations and the market dumping overall. Was up big time in OMEX n QNCX

OMEX earnings release today. Early word is niiiice. π
Probably going to look for an OMEX entry later in the day, since the US gov recently deemed phosphate a critical mineral. Once they reopen and China-US eventually fall out for the nth time, OMEX should be nicely positioned. Still significantly undervalued ever since the NAFTA nothingburger that happened a while back, plus I like the insider buying.
OMEX,. DLI, AMPX Poppin Baby! earnings coming soon also!
OMEX news: [https://ir.odysseymarine.com/news/news-details/2025/Odyssey-Marine-Exploration-Files-U-S--Offshore-Critical-Minerals-Lease-Sale-Request-to-Advance-Americas-Resource-Security/default.aspx](https://ir.odysseymarine.com/news/news-details/2025/Odyssey-Marine-Exploration-Files-U-S--Offshore-Critical-Minerals-Lease-Sale-Request-to-Advance-Americas-Resource-Security/default.aspx) Between Japan and US considering joint deep-sea mining ventures and snags in the China-US talks regarding rare earth elements, I think OMEX was oversold from the recent high and definitely has room to grow. We're still far off of the pre-NAFTA bullshit levels.
If you like TMC look into OMEX. Very similar story but in different regions and more projects in the portfolio. Also much smaller market cap and much higher upside potential
Dunno why you're getting down voted. OPEN is my highest realized return followed by OMEX. Buy low, sell high, lather, rinse, repeat.
Idk how true but OMEX is up 19% AH, hope that dude I recommended it to bought some lol
You ask for financial advise which i have none. The danger is about time, if the authorization is declined then it will take at least 5-10 years for OMEX to get the money. Without revenue the other project will probably be in a bad shape, investors may flee and trust may be hard to earn again. In a catastophic scenario they may even have to sell their right of exploitation. They would still gain money out of it but the future would be much more speculative than it is right now. For the dilution it's not even planned yet, they still have a lot of cash in reserve. I just anticipate it. If tomorrow the stock rips as the authorization is granted, then decide to dilute. It wont be 20% of 3$ a share but maybe much more. Like 10% of a 7$ stock. I wouldnt take the risk.
Hey thanks for an interesting and entertaining description. I have a few questions. 1. In the dangers sub heading, how is #1 a danger ? If the ecological department doesnβt give the authorisation in the given time, then OMEX gets 2.1B , right? And if they give permit then itβs all good. So itβs a win-win in either case right? So why is it a danger? 2. Regarding dilution, the stock currently is listed at3.37 USD, does it mean it is better to wait until it reaches less than 2.4USD (subtracting 20% from 3USD) of and then buy?
I kind of made my brain work and asked myself some questions. The project will not start until the authorization comes up. Once the project is validated, even if the mining company has to invest for the machines and all, they wont be happy about being the only investors. They will ask for 50/50 i guess. That kind of project cost around 40M in infrastructures. I guess they'll ask 20 to OMEX. With that in mind, they may dilute 20% of their share at maybe 3$ and collect around 30M to have a cash reserve. That's how i assume they will dilute.
Honestly one of the most entertaining DDs Iβve read in a while. good mix of humor and solid info. OMEX definitely looks like a high-risk, high-reward play, could pay off huge if that permit comes through.
#TLDR --- Ticker: OMEX Direction: Up Prognosis: Buy shares, Price Target $10-$30 on mining permit approval. Catalyst: Mexican environmental agency gives the final approval for a massive underwater phosphate deposit. Risk: Dilution & Sea Turtles.
OMEX.. still flying under the radar. It's the only US deep sea mining stock. I've also been in $WWR since 0.8.
Seriously considering OMEX. I wouldn't do it if I were you. I've been picking some stinkers.
LITM is a good one. LAC, AQMS, UAMY, NB, CRML, UUUU, ASM, UCU.V, OMEX, NVX (even though I lost money on NVX and it's not a rare earth metal, but graphite. Still worth a look I guess)
I've been hunting for overlooked mineral stocks. I'm fairly scared of those like AQMS that ran 400% in the past two days. This one is different. Yes, deep sea mining is expensive and has regulatory and environmental hurdles, but there is 1 billion metric tons of nickel, copper, manganese and other metals laying off the US continental shelf. For investors hunting a deep-sea play with multibagger potential, hereβs why OMEX may be the most compelling deep-sea mining play. Odyssey Marine Exploration (OMEX) [(OMEX)](https://www.barchart.com/quotes/OMEX) is a Florida-based leader in subsea mineral exploration with over 30 years of deep-ocean experience. The company has mapped 75,000 square kilometers of seabed and focuses on critical mineral
OMEX was 3.31 30mins ago. This thing is going to $5 today. https://preview.redd.it/qn6dip5yq8vf1.png?width=375&format=png&auto=webp&s=a9bd3159d4fa98aaf5e0d2d4ad51d5195643d5bf
Might keep an eye on OMEX. It may be going places. [https://www.ainvest.com/news/odyssey-marine-exploration-omex-surges-23-strategic-funding-global-policy-momentum-start-breakout-2510/](https://www.ainvest.com/news/odyssey-marine-exploration-omex-surges-23-strategic-funding-global-policy-momentum-start-breakout-2510/) On April 23, President Donald Trump shook up the critical minerals landscape by signing an[ executive order](https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/trump-expected-sign-deep-sea-mining-executive-order-thursday-sources-2025-04-24/) to fast-track deep-sea mining permits under the Deep Seabed Hard Minerals Resource Act and beyond U.S. waters, an explicit bid to break Chinaβs stranglehold on nickel, copper, manganese and other metals vital to electric vehicles, renewable energy, and defense technologies. I tell y'all all the time: UUUU CCCX ASTS LAES DNN DBRG OMEX USAR
Do I sell my OMEX Iβm up 155%?
I bought OMEX at 1.70 and itβs up around 4.20. Should I hold
Definitely OMEX for a trump economy play in here low float easy pop π₯΄ already up 120% on them 4$ calls
Very nice π, thank you. If you would like some stuff under $5 still, there is: 1) AREC 2) WWR 3) XPL 4) URG 5) EU 6) OMEX 7) SOAR No particular order on those. Maybe youβll like what you find in some of them.
Better to go with critical minerals honestly. Definitely have some SCWO, but critical minerals, rare earths, and uranium are a matter of national security. DCA in or lump sum- 1) WWR 2) XPL 3) AREC 4) EU 5) URG 6) OMEX 7) SOAR All of these are still under $5. See which ones you like best.
All rare earth stocks are pumping. Only one left $OMEX
Taking a punt on OMEX once again, did well buying and selling first half of the year, but reckon this is a good longer-hold too what with the mineral nonsense going on. Their management is solid too.
Probably not the cheapest, but a good starting place: WWR, OMEX, AREC, ABAT; MVST
Following a βbig moneyβ trade on OMEX. Two days ago they bought $3 calls for December, right before all this mineral news Hrmmmmmmmm
yall keep an eye on $TMC and $OMEX today. Deep sea mining mineral company and they have been talking about the mining sector all a.m. on bloomberg.
Yeah, Iβve sold plenty of things that werenβt finished running. If you join the r/UAMY Reddit, youβll see itβs still got a ton more to go. If you like critical minerals in general, Iβm in WWR, OMEX, and AREC. All of these are still penny stocks.
DSM is next on the block. TMC and OMEX already pumping and just announced today π₯ and his team will be investing in this industry and critical mineral stockpile in general. Hess is on the board and he is Very In with the current admin
Keeping an eye on OMEX, CETY, CYCU, everything else seems to have taken off already...
OMEX. Incredibly undervalued The held a much higher market cap when only looking for ship wrecks and lost treasure. They are now poised as a deep sea mining company and are trading at a fraction of the market cap of other DSM/ critical mineral companies. Reasons i believe they are undervalued: -30+ years of seafloor mapping experience and have been publicly traded for 30 years as well -you need somebody to map and find the resource deposits in order to mine them -they are diversified in the resources they are interested in. Unlike for example TMC who are only currently after poly-metallic nodules. OMEX is also interested in phosphate deposits as well for fertilizers. -not only is OMEX going for their own working but they are also investing into other companies who are working in the cook islands. Which is good as it diversifies its revenue streams. -working in multiple zones of the sea. Involvement in the cook islands is promising but also working hand in hand with mexico on the phosphate project means that they are also diversified in risk as they arenβt banking on a singular governing body for approval. A deal with mexico could send the SP close to $10. Approvals in both mexico and cook islands could send OMEX to $20+
OMEX going to run it up again
40% CRML - 10% METC and OMEX - 25% Interest - 25% ETFs
Check out OMEX and TMC if you are into minerals and what not. Big news week this week for both, OMEX could go up another 50%-100% in the next month
I personally have TMC, UURAF, ARRNF, ABAT, other on my watchlist at MP, UUUU, OMEX, USAR, NB and others but I think I have enough to at least have some skin in the game. The government is going to give alot, and has already granted alot of funds to some of these companies.
OMEX in particular is multi stage play and can be very lucrative. From 2 to 5 is just typical recovery gap fill (shorts failed to push them to delist from last september, now price is way above 1 it is out of the picture). Higher than 5 if because of their Mexico phospate approval/cook island project/trump deep sea mining tail wind can be a good longer hold. If not then may just be the short seller from last september exiting then may exit early. Regardless this is a multibagger
OMEX and TMC given trapped short interest and all tail wind. Hard to see downside from now
OMEX is trading at a huge discount right now. Itβs a U.S. company with specialized underwater mining tech and contracts, and they just secured an agreement with the Mexican government that the market hasnβt priced in yet. Given the tiny market cap, the upside is significant β a move back toward ~$5 isnβt unrealistic. Thatβs why LEAPs make sense here: you get long-term exposure to that potential revaluation, defined downside (just your premium), and leverage on the upside. Itβs a capital-efficient way to play an under-the-radar growth story
Iβm not familiar with OMEX. Whatβs catching your eye about it?
OMEX is looking really good right now
Bless you. I sold TMC around $5-4.55 & have 11.3K shares of TMCWW &OMEX bought too high. Down around $27,000 from them both and was down $9k from TMC bu sold for a lossΒ
Threw some pocket change at OMEX today on the off chance their 10Q delay is for a good reason.
