100% insecurity. I bet face to face this person is absolutely harmless, 30 year old basement dweller. Win, lose, draw, conflict, togetherness - this whole sub has its ups and downs - but there should be no place for anyone, anywhere who sees another’s anguish as something to laugh at, dismiss or use to score “big man” points Very very happy that everyone here, Im assuming even a lot of the anti-BYND group have spotted this guy as a gross cunt. SSB should just rid him, no place for him hed whatever side of the table hes on.

That's fair, but the dude is jobless and asking to invest all the money to his name, you could pick any stable stock and see it fall if the market turns into a bear market, he's not really making the best choices to begin with. I was just giving him a couple I think will take off in the next couple of years, 1 is expanding rapidly with multiple lines and facilities and is just starting to bring in revenue, the other is basically doing the same thing but is a few years away from possibly being the first SSB EV car supplier (currently first to SSB EV Motorcycle) At least I'm not telling him to yolo it into bynd lol

I’ll let you in on a little secret. The moment one of these squeezes are allowed to be posted to WSB, that’s solely to provide exit liquidity. WSB is about shitposting (losses and ocassionally gains)…but the true prime directive is just exit liquidity now. I know we’re in SSB, but this new WSB indicator is very real

QS Will probably correct some from this $15 level, but over two years has the potential to be $100+ (and I’m being modest). They continue to meet milestones, increase JV with majors, and are in the right market - SSB. Risk: can the tech be scaled? Appears so. And they can always be “out-teched” by someone, but they have consistently delivered so far. Not for the faint of heart. Also, the election aviation startup (2018) Beta has announced that it is going public - one to keep an eye on.

Market size of batteries is about 0.5T by 2030. 2 months ago QS was at 8$USD with a market cap of about 8 billion. Once SSB becomes mainstream, there will be zero sense to use old tech that are less reliable, costly, fire hazardous. Lets assume 90% of the lithium battery market adopts SSB, so 0.45T. Lets assume QS isn't the only SSB play in town by then (it is currently the only one that seems legit) and takes 50% share, so 0.225T or 225 billion. 225/8 = 28.125 ish. So there abouts?

I would say the shady stuff is the actual Scorpion Capital report which was developed for tanking the stock. QS has met every single goal they have set out to achieve. They have also pivoted from manufacturing their own battery to licensing their IP. Think of ARM from the chip business. Volkswagen recently presented a Ducati motorcycle with the QS SSB technology and that is what is causing the stock to go up. There is speculation as of late that Panasonic might be a new partner as Tesla wants to consider the use of QS technology to gain an edge.

For EOSE they make Zinc Batteries not Lithium and hold a patent on it, the plus side is they are not flammable or corrosive and they have a life span of 20 years and the United States is the 4th largest Zinc producer in the world which is good for the current tariff situations. You can look at it a bit more if you're interested here. [https://www.eose.com/technology/](https://www.eose.com/technology/) In terms of QS they currently leading in Solid State Batteries for vehicles and SSB; charge faster 10-80% in a little over 12 minutes, have longer range, have longer life span and I believe they are lighter than the current batteries.

I totally agree with you. For me the biggest issue with those companies is that China is more advanced. You can look at some examples (Northvolt, probably soon ACC), we have troubles to compete with China in that field. I had hopes for the SSB, being a new technology so basically everyone started at the same time, which was not the case for the current Li-ion generation of batteries (LFP/NMC/NMX...). But the thing is, the Chinese gov launched some kind of joint collaboration between several Chinese companies. They usually don't talk a lot during the research phase, but when they hit they hit big.

Tbh I'm working in the field (thus my presence here), and QS is one of the company in which I have the most hopes (along with some others, but mainly from China). This comes from the shortlist I did after reviewing the technologies of all the companies in that field. SSB will be really big, they will not only cover cars and this is something that people tend to forget quite often. For me the car market of the SSB is just the tip of the iceberg.

Im a n00b, been investing since Nov 24. I think I found a hot stock, but I dont think its worth of a full post. Solid State is the name of the next generation battery, invented by Dr John Goodenough (no really, thats his name) 20 years ago and is the same person who invented lithium-ion battery that all use today. He passed in 2023 at the age of 101. What does a SSB do? It lets your Electric Car go from 300 miles per charge, to 500-600 miles. Its no longer a fire hazard. Works in extreme cold and hot temps and charges faster. But the problem is how do you mass produce this. Well QuantumScape is one company developing this tech and they dont plan on mass producing this themselves, but sell the machines to mass produce them, which they announced over week ago a new process that allows them to scale it up. Calling in the Cobra Separator, which increases the speed 25 fold and uses far less space. Their original process was using off the shelf components, but Cobra is a completely new design. I bought 50 shares when it was $4 per share, after announcing the new production process, it jumped to $7. Bought 30 more shares when it dipped to $6.50, now its at $14. I want to buy more when it dips, but it hasnt for over a week, it keeps climbing. https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/QS/

Quantumscape they’re a car battery manufacturer and they are working on solid state batteries (SSB). these batteries would be a game changer to the EV market as opposed to the current use of lithium ion (LI). the benefits of a SSB are insane compared to LI. SSB charge faster (10 to 80% in 10 mins), produce less heat therefore having a longer life, and are lighter. those are just a few of the pros of them. VW is a huge investor in QS and the company has been held up by venture capitalists for its whole life so investing is kind of a gamble/pretty risky. the company can create product and have a chokehold on the market or fizzle out to pennies they recently announced a breakthrough in the spacers of their batteries and it is a good showing of more to come from QS

Zero, $MVST Just got on and laughing at all the $QS comments. I have nothing against QS as I brought during SPAC days and sold all @$93, and that win allowed to further triple my return. First, they still have not addressed the two biggest issues with SSB - thermal expansion of materials (what will it cost to alleviate in a vehicle) and inefficiency of lithium intercalation in solids. Now they will have third problem of blinding of ceramic pore and its changing porosity (well know within ceramics especially particles filters in diesel engines) - Yes, you can manufacture the ceramic separator but will they long service life - I personally doubt it. As I have stated many times, unless, it is Honda or Toyota, I do not see SSB becoming reality for 5-8 years at best. Good Luck all longs.

> I keep hoping to see all these newly announced LFP and Sodium Ion batteries publish that sort of testing (or even SSB) but I've not seen anything so far. There's tons of metrics for sodium ion out there, but there are also a number of different sodium chemistries, and the values vary quite a bit. Some sodium cells, for example, have a 50,000 cycle lifespan, while others function from -40C to +100C. Sodium in general though is much less power dense, so it's bad for stuff like cars, but great for uses like grid balancing/storage. You can usually find stuff on new battery tech in r/batteries, but I'll warn you there are a *lot* of grumpy posters over there.

Don't get me wrong, still quite an uncomfortable journey left for QS on the road to industrialization. But, has anyone published data that's... better than the "bad" 400 cycles 100% depth of discharge, 4C/1C 90% life capacity? I've seen lots of claims of high cycle life, and **separately** of high charge C rate, but not of cycle life **at** high charge rate. Genuinely, technically interested. I keep hoping to see all these new announced LFP and Sodium Ion batteries publish that sort of testing (or even SSB) but I've not seen anything so far.

The class action lawsuits are gonna be epic. The first to get flushed down the shttr if a market correction comes will be anything with even a hint impropriety. The Oxford news came out before a market open one morning exactly one day after my partner and I attended a Health Care conference in NYC hosted by SSB and the stock got absolutely decimated. Our company which was small by any standard lost over 1 million that day and I had to go borrow that money from my bank to pay the MC. Oxford was my client and my business partner thought he had the pulse of the company and he was selling uncovered puts. I accept full responsibility for allowing him to be A cowboy so it was on me.This current situation with UNH is identical and the news will keep getting worse before it ever gets better. The bad news kept coming from Oxford and they were in a death spiral when UNH came and took them out. Oxford settled with the Feds and we received about 20% of our losses back I think it was 3 years later. Simply trying to help any young out there who may think they got it nailed. Call it dumb luck or intuition if you want. Unlike the solid state claims of CATL & BYD that remain unverified, Quantumscape's QSE-battery pilots have been 3rd party verified. The underbelly was whether they could ramp production in a reasonable timeframe that leads them first to market. If you've seen any of the past 3 earning calls, you'll see that the 100+ PowerCO engineers spent the past 2 years preparing for large scale production in 2026 with the cobra separator. As of the earning call recently, now Murata to prepare for worldwide manufacturing that scale beyond 80gwh from the higher end of PowerCO's expanse agreements. QS is leveraging there tech into a royalty payment platform to leverage existing manufactures to ramp their SSB. So in short, I'd DCA if you can because the trajectory looks bright for quantumscape. Especially now that the nazi in chief is proving Tesla's failed demand metrics quarter by quarter.

The cooling issue is true but only for certain separator compounds. QS are using a ceramic separator that doesn't require cooling. The same can't be said for other SSB companies. Regarding concerns of intercalation, VW have already vetted the batteries by putting them through thousands of cycles and have been comfortable making investments on the back of these tests.

Mentions:#QS#SSB

QuantumScape often refers to the "AND problem" in solid state battery technology, meaning a commercially viable EV battery must have high energy density, fast charging, long cycle life, safety, and cost-effectiveness—all at the same time. This is incredibly difficult to achieve, as improving one factor often comes at the cost of another. So far, all SSB companies tend to make a compromise somewhere on these 5 requirements. QS as far as we understand is the only one that has hacked all of these. Microvast has the following issues: 1) Still uses liquid electrolyte, meaning some flammability risk remains. QS uses a ceramic. 2) Despite using a better seperator it is still fundamentally using a lithium-ion technology. QS are using lithium metal, which can store \~1,000 Wh/L, which is 2x the energy density of today’s best lithium-ion EV batteries. Microvast doesn't solve the range anxiety issue that is plaguing the EV industry at the moment. 3) Microvast isn't as fast - 20-30 minutes for a 10 to 80% charge. QS claim a 12 minute charge. Microvast does have a current edge on manufacturing cost, but only because they are using existing manufacturing methods. QS are having to design and invent new manufacturing methods and machines in order to become cost effective, but it looks like they are on their way to achieving this. They also have an edge on life-cycles, but beyond 1,000 cycles (QS can achieve up to 2,000) isn't really anything meaningful because you are well exceeding the usable lifespan of the vehicle by that point, especially if you are increasing range through higher energy density.

Mentions:#EV#SSB#QS

Good Luck I personally think QS will crash - the only reason stock price is here now is because of their cash reserve. In SSB, they have two big issues to overcome - thermal expansion of materials (things swell when heated) - thus they will need significant cooling. Secondly, the intercalation of lithium cause battery performance to drop significant overtime. These are and have been holy grail in the industry. Tough to bet the laws of thermodynamics.

They don’t want to dilute shareholders at this level - shelf offering is the best option to do so. When you Look at the Numbers it’s an 8$ stock Even without US production and SSB. Just hold and relax…they will have news on the way to earnings.

SES added AI to the name when they pivoted their strategic focus on finding a better electrolyte for their prospective solid-state batteries. It's to signify that they're leveraging AI through predictive modelling, to identify the optimal composition for energy density, safety and general performance of an SSB. With that said, they're not unique in this. All SSB companies are doing this... only SES put AI in their name. Likely helps them raise capital, as people think they're buying an AI stock.

i just saw that she talks about SSB (solid state batteries) which MVST just recently announced they had a great breakthrough in that technology segment.. wow

Awesome thanks. SSB 2% sounds woeful but I guess it is better than zero because of my laziness :) I'll read up on the S-REITS as well.

Who do you pick in SSB Melee?

"without a clear electric strategy" They're putting a lot of money into solid state batteries; research and a production line. That's basically the only path they need. If they manage to come out with a SSB EV first, it's going to be huge. Until then, they can keep doing hybrids that take advantage of the fact that we're still geared towards petrol infrastructure.

Yes, and he who knows all about nothing knows nothing. He who knows nothing of all still knows nothing. Similar to a math proof. Also from that disclosure is Charles Schwab & Co., Inc., Charles Schwab Bank, SSB and Charles Schwab Premier Bank, SSB are separate but affiliated companies and subsidiaries of The Charles Schwab Corporation. Where do you think the assets for the multimillion dollar loans that rocket originates for Schwab comes from?

Except it’s not a math problem. It’s actually a philosophical statement. And in case you were wondering: >Home lending is offered and provided by Rocket Mortgage, LLC. Rocket Mortgage LLC., is not affiliated with The Charles Schwab Corporation, Charles Schwab & Co., Inc., Charles Schwab Bank, SSB, Charles Schwab Trust Bank or Charles Schwab Premier Bank, SSB. Now, those are all under an umbrella of schwab affiliates, but those books dont affect the other books.

Look up the progress being made by companies on solid state batteries. SSB will be a 100 billion dollar industry by 2030.

QS is very binary. Not investing advice, but I've only bought shares. I wouldn't personally do options because the timeline could get extended. For example, they were already supposed to have a working test car by now based on their 2020 projections. On the other side, you can't renovate a bathroom without delays, and they're bringing a potentially revolutionary product to market. They continue to meet some major benchmarks - VW validation, 95% retention after 1000 cycles (Tesla is around 80-85%), recent safety tests shows incredible results. Extremely safe. They can pull up to 1000 horsepower out of the battery, 80% charge in 12 minutes, possibly as low as 8min. Which means supercars and eventually, aircraft. The big component missing is cost. This is the big one for me: the head of VW let it slip that their battery factory that's opening in 2027 will have SSB's and they're going to be MORE affordable than current lithium batteries. He was palpably excited, and then had to walk his comments back. That factory is the size of 210 football fields. I feel like he got excited and spilled some beans he shouldn't have. That's all if it's a 1. If they don't succeed, it's a 0. All goes away. That factory, they've only broken ground. Don't bet anything you can't afford to lose, and given the timeline challenges, options seem extremely risky here. I'm buying shares and saying goodbye to that money, hope to see it again someday when it's all grown up. Not investing advice, just my perspective.

You'll have to wait a few years I think. None of the SSB companies that are publicly traded are any good. QS is a joke, go read their 10Q.

Six months (by Dec) B samples will be vetted (enough) and scaling maped out with equipment debugged. I'm guessing a combo of licensing agreements (VW, Tesla, Ford?), with upfront cash and ongoing royalties beginning 2026. That's the EV market. The CE market opportunity will follow, probably with licensing agreements as well. That's the quickest way to significant revenue to reward all and sustain R&D as QS (SSB) are just beginning the tech S-curve. As an investor, buy stock at $6 (now) or $30+ (Dec), is a consideration. I certainly get it is too risky for some right now. But, I've followed this company for two years. They've "derisked" qtr/qtr. I assess some large institutional investors have been net accumulating. As for the point of insider selling, anyone familiar with stock grants knows it's mostly tax selling to cover the tax obligations of the grants. The ying/yang of short FUD and long exuberance is best tuned out for the most part. Nothing beats solid DD on your own. Clues are out there for assessing risk. But, as a retail investor, we are up against full-time pros looking to fleece the herd. Cheers to investing early and holding long in the next Tesla, Nvidia, Amazon, etc..

Personally, QS will crash - the only reason stock price is here now is because of their cash reserve. In SSB, they have two big issues to overcome - thermal expansion of materials (things swell when heated) - thus they will need significant cooling. Secondly, the intercalation of lithium cause battery performance to drop significant overtime. These are and have been holy grail in the industry. Good Luck.

QS approach to SSB is not optimal at best. Also they've targeted the wrong segment to begin with.

Yep, same can be said for SLDP. SSB tech is interesting, and both companies are on my watch list. MVST, on the other hand, looks like a scam to me.

You are correct that ultimately it will be "SSB"s in the cars but they are still in testing phase. We are probably 4-5 years out and about 7-8 from mass production. You are also correct that Tesla cannot reconfigure their factories easily to the new tech. In fact, the new tech might be patented thus Tesla wont be able to make them at all. They would need to buy out a company that has a stable battery but good luck with that... this would effectively give them a near monopoly with the battery and the FTC will likely not allow it given Tesla's size. The only issue I have is bringing Toyota into this. Those idiots still think hauling around an engine to burn low density hydrogen is a good idea. Its hard to take anything they say seriously give that stance...

Many companies are working on SSB and there are many in the testing phase already. One such company is Solid Power $SLDP.

They say that but at the same time they’ve made great strides in SSB that could potentially deliver 750 miles of range on electric sedans. The batteries could be charged in little over 10 minutes. First working models will be tested in ‘27 with working models on or before’2030. I am buying 1 share biweekly since I read this. Up to 5 shares now… woohoo. But …I should be nicely averaged in with over a hundred shares by the time they start really making noise about it. They’re also ahead of everyone on Hydrogen power plants for vehicles. So whatever way this goes, it’s a good play on manufacturing, autos, and the Japanese market. If that battery is a hit the stock will really be a mover.
