Call center/BPO has had a lot of downside recently. Check other stocks of this trade, same story. Even though financially they haven't been doing that badly. Surely the market is doing heavy price discovery and it must have to do with AI. These companies talk a lot about AI but largely fail to integrate it in their revenue model. So probably their stock holders have come to see it as a threat. My take is that outsourcing won't just cease to exist and the BPO trade probably has a decent future alongside AI, not opposed to it. It's just an opinion I hold off the top of my head though. There's a lot of Nuance in these topics but somewhere out there there must be some fact-based approaches. I haven't looked very much in depth into it. I just know people working in this sector as simple agents and I haven't seen big companies like MS/Google/Netflix etc. seek to completely end their partnerships with BPOs so just speaking from experience I can sense these companies might be afraid to rely on AI for things like support and administrative procedures which BPOs have been servicing. So the sector surely has s future, but maybe not with as much revenue anymore. Maybe TASK execs deciding on a leveraged dividend was seen as an exit opportunity. By this time I've ruled out foul play in terms of insiders selling en masse as a cause for the price drop. Although given the continuous selling of alloted shares by execs I suspect they aren't that hot on their company's future either. Probably especially since the previously proposed buyout deal was rejected by stockholders. Surprisingly though there wasn't a board reshuffle after that event. Can you imagine the CEO proposing a buyout, the majority of voting shares rejecting it and then... Keeping the same CEO? Like yeah at this point I do see internal sabotage as the biggest risk for this stock. Not AI. I still see TASK at current prices as a huge buy opportunity but I'm very hesitant to make it a big % of my portfolio because of the risk I can sense. Internal sabotage can bankrupt a company in no time with no recourse.
TASK’s results looked better (profits and margins up, first dividend, refinancing loan), so a 40% ex-dividend drop likely means a real negative catalyst or a sudden repricing of risk, not just insider selling.
Who in their right mind would invest in this disaster of a company. These posts are trolling weak minded people to help them on their poor choice of investments. When buying a stock you are not buying a product but also a culture. There are particular scum CEO’s I can name Jack Welch, J. Michael Pearson, Stehane Bancel. I call them PT Barnums, good at creating a want but not creating a marketable product. It’s not just the CEO and managment but the people that make up CBIZ and they don’t want to work. So good luck with your investments because if I am right it should settle at $15. I wish I was savvy enough to short this stock. These excerpts below are from rank and file CBIZ staff showing that they don’t want to work nor is the leadership inspiring them to work. **1**.The regional leadership is incompetent and lack any true leadership skills. They shut down dissonant views and only want sheep. They lead with threats and without ever acknowledging jobs well done. They preach culture, but have destroyed what was once great culture and compassionate leadership. They don’t care about people and ad a result have left us with universally and historically low morale. Every meeting with leaders only leads to more demoralized employees. Many of our best people have left, are looking to leave, or considering early retirement. Until national leadership steps in to address and remove the incompetent NYC leadership, it will only continue to deteriorate and we will be left with nothing. No coincidence that Profits and stock prices have plummeted. **2**. I worked at CBIZ’s corp office in IT for 10 years. Upper management is awful. They don’t have your backs. When something good happens, they take the credit. When something bad happens, they blame you. But also keep in mind they give no direction or assistance. They overworked their IT. Everyone was stressed all the time from the massive workload they gave us. It got worse with the Marcum acquisition. We had to bend over backwards to give them what they wanted yesterday. No matter how hard we worked, there was no recognition. I had a meeting with upper management because a certain big-wig wasn’t happy with our current ITSM solution. Grant it, it was just one service desk technician(me) trying to figure out how to manage it. Oh, but still working the service desk tickets, be a CAB manager, Exchange admin, etc. We finally got more people to help, but it seemed too late. I asked what they wanted to improve their experience. This is the response I got verbatim: “If you can figure that out, you get a cookie.” So that was my last straw. I was given another position elsewhere back in September, and while I’m working through some of the trauma CBIZ has given me, I feel so much better being gone. A month later, I found out my team got let go, despite all the work they do, and manage. They just don’t care. While I love everyone I worked with, I hated how that company runs and treats their employees. **3**.Putting the “expected billable hours” is fine because that number is subjective and it varies among people and their positions (ex. An associate vs a senior manager). That’s fine. What is NOT okay is putting the actual hours of what that person is hitting on a FIRM WIDE email. Like you said, that’s micromanagement and a big morale problem. Management at CBIZ is ass and nobody knows how to properly manage. Like you said as well, management can perceive low billable hours as anything they want. But, it’s hard to bill stuff when you don’t have the documents to do it. Especially for tax. I had tax returns stay untouched for two weeks simply because I was waiting for the damn client to submit the forms I needed to complete the return. **4**.I experienced something similar with low morale management. I was PIP’d after a year. My manager, who did not like me and SUCKED at managing and communicating, said she’d “help me stay organized” by making a task list for me on what I completed or worked on throughout the day. PIPs are a very confidential thing between HR, management and the employee. My manager thought it was fine to put my TASK LIST in the PUBLIC file where everyone kept their availability/schedules. She also made the excel file PUBLIC, she didn’t even bother to make it private with access just between me and her. She put in the file as “my name - task list”. Nobody else had a “task list” under their name. Like, so much for keeping things confidential and private. Why on earth would she think it was a good idea to put a public excel file in a public folder where everyone put their schedules? She could’ve at least just emailed me a separate excel spreadsheet. No, she had to subtly humiliate me and let everyone know that I had to have “extra help” after my performance review. Fuck CBIZ and their BS people.
Good point the stock trading activity doesn't show anything in terms of blatant manipulation. Volumes increased a bit after the announcement and on the cut off date there was a volume of 1.5m, not huge. No insiders seem to have sold although there's a window of a few days allowing reports to be submitted after transactions so that's something to look for. I looked into their history a bit and it seems like back in October the majority of the stockholders rejected a proposal by the CEO and Blackstone who owns like 30% of the stocks to take the company private. The CEO still owns millions of shares so with the dividend he and Blackstone surely got a fat paycheck. For owning more than 3m shares just with the dividends the CEO got a check a many times over his stated 40k salary hehe. I'm not sure if there's any foul play here because otherwise TASK might be a good opportunity for an entry right now. Taking a $500m loan to give a $333m dividend that is 1.5x the current EBITA surely seems suspicious. My leading theory is that Blackstone may be disappointed after they realized they can't even control a company where they hold 30% of the stock. So they might be attempting to milk it as much as they can. Maybe even whatever good plan they had for after taking it private they could implement to a competing company out of the thousands that they own stake in. I did make a small purchase but I'm too afraid of foul play and the stock going down further. Let's see 🙈
Checked out TASK through some analytical engines out of curiosity. Balance sheet is fine - liquidity is solid, not over-leveraged. But revenue is declining and sits in the bottom 1% of IT services peers on growth. Operating margin is in the 19th percentile. And FCF is actually negative, which makes the dividend a bit of a head-scratcher. My guess? Market looked at stalling revenue + weak margins + debt refinancing + a dividend they probably can't really afford and said "nah." The dividend might've been the thing that triggered the closer look, not the reassurance they hoped it would be.
create a prompt for a given ticker. This is a rough draft of one I created with gemini: The Plug-and-Play Prompt Copy and paste the text below [SYSTEM INSTRUCTION] Act as a Senior Equity Research Analyst specializing in growth stocks. Your goal is to provide a high-conviction, three-level analysis for the ticker provided below. USER INPUT: Ticker: [INSERT TICKER HERE] TASK STEPS: 1. Catalyst Discovery: Search recent earnings calls, 10-K/10-Q filings, and investor presentations to identify the single most important "Core Catalyst" (e.g., a specific product launch, a business model transition, or a specific market tailwind) for this company. 2. Execute Analysis Framework: * Level 1: Macro & Benchmarks: * Analyze the current Fed dual mandate (inflation/employment) and the likely economic "landing" scenario. * Report recent performance of relevant benchmarks: The "Magnificent 7," the stock's specific sector ETF, and its primary peer group (e.g., SaaS, Semi, Fintech). * Summarize current market sentiment (Risk-On vs. Risk-Off). * Level 2: 1-5 Year Horizon & Valuation: * Establish a timeline for the "Core Catalyst" completion and the shift to sustained GAAP profitability. * Define the "Valuation Catch-up": When is the multiple (P/S or P/E) projected to align with higher-valued peers? * Break this into: Near-Term (0-1yr), Medium-Term (1-3yrs), and Long-Term (3-5yrs). * Level 3: Ecosystem & Execution: * Competitive Check: Scour filings of major partners or competitors for mentions of this company or its catalyst. What does it reveal about their moat? * Earnings Prep: Identify the next earnings date and guidance. Define the "Acceleration Signal"—the specific growth or margin % that would prove the catalyst is working ahead of schedule. FORMATTING: Use professional headings, bullet points, and a "Summary Verdict" table at the end. Why this works: * Zero Work for You: You no longer need to know the "Core Catalyst" or the "Company Name." The AI finds them first. * Unified Logic: It forces the AI to look at the macro environment before giving you the company-specific data, ensuring the valuation context is realistic. * Binary Signals: The "Acceleration Signal" in Part 3 gives you a specific number to look for on earnings day to know if the thesis is broken or booming.

TASK on HBO is the best show put out in a while
If anyone needs a new tv show - Chad Powers for comedy (Hulu) and TASK for drama (HBO)...
You need to think about this. ->(1)You are going to use family members money, to “invest in the stock market.” Goal is to: make a profit. ->(2)When you have made a profit, with (family members money + perhaps your money as well). You are going to “allocate a percentage of the profit, back to your family member.” Which is a good thing to do. ->(3)Because you are regularly allocating “profit money back to your family member” — how long do you think that YOU CAN PERFORM THE TASK OF (ALLOCATING MONEY TO family members bank account)? Can you do it consistently for (1 year/3 years/5 years/7 years/etc)? ->(4)PS: Banks and other financial institutions, can consistently perform the task of (allocating money to other people’s bank accounts). Bank can perform this task, even when their are events such as: (bank employee passes away/bank employee is on vacation/bank employee is indisposed for a certain time period). ->(5)aka: It is very difficult for a single individual to perform the task of (ALLOCATING MONEY TO family members bank account, on a regular basis).
**ARE YOU UP TO THE TASK?!** 🫵
With how heated their economy is, even if there was no American support, to go further into Ukraine would cost Russia hundreds of thousands of casualties to get probably double the land. Just crossing back into kherson would be a TASK to get to. If global oil supply doesn't go up soon and this war keeps going for a year or two, the Russian people might actually get pissed off when both inflation and interest rates skyrocket and more of their people come back in bodybags.
you dont have a lot of knowledge about automation it seems. robots are NOT designed to replace human hands. they are designed to do a TASK. i recently worked for a global manufacturing company, and I know for a fact that we had robots to do things like.. install ram on a new server. faster, more accurate than any human on the line. space? these things are not huge, they take less floor space than a human does overall when compared to the manpower to do the same amount of work. different robots at a different factory, does automated sandign of machined parts. yet another assembles parts for other items and the list goes on. do not make the mistake of thinking " can't replace the human hand" because THEY DONT HAVE TO. they are just designed for a task.
“🥭 SAYS WILL SIGN EXECUTIVE ORDER TO HAVE ATTORNEY GENERAL BONDI LEAD A TASK FORCE TO ERADICATE ANTI-CHRISTIAN BIAS” …..alright
The large Techs lobbying to protect their turf, quite frankly, "a racket" that could be considered criminal in what it may end up doing to "society," remains part of the problem in addition to the "complexion of our underlying" owners which I have pointed out to Kate since arriving and moves directly towards your comment about "empty conduits" which I am fairly certain is wrong, that being, "they were starting to pull fiber through most of them." I stand by my comment that 2-3 conduits at most are filled with "fiber" today. These in fact are part of the "proprietary gifts" that KJ continues to opine about when she is not maddened to the point of "silence" with these rabble rousing analysts on her calls. If these analysts including Simon Sayz--always the FIRST in the classroom to jump up with his hand raised-- at MS weren't all "SELL SIDE," truly, I have never experienced a Company as large as Lumen with what is all SELL SIDE firms on their calls talking about the least important aspects of their business including "Mass Markets" and even FTTH today. Personally, I am waiting for Kate to command enough knowledge and confidence in where she is taking the puck because of her own gifts and talents to see the future with clarity in the the near term fully confident that her sales force will deliver appropriately, to deal with these SOB's like I used to witness Elon deal with those Doubting Thomas' putting them in their places--schooling them, and chiding them when necessary--on his calls! They are like the "disruptive" children in the classroom distracting the good kids from valuable learning experiences. Simon Sayz is prima facie acridness towards this fact. I want to take his firm's money in the end! Since they won't ask the questions about conduits and supply/demand factors around the Enterprise space, I will find out from the Company directly and get back to you with respect to "empty conduits" knowing that previously advancements in tech multiplied the capacity of a single strand dampening demand by increasing supply irrespective of the "savings" that continues to be harvested in "optical switching" and "distance spacing" to REGEN huts along the way. You may RECALL the recent California win in the "middle mile" connecting to my claims now being a specific inquiry, which is where the pedal meets Lumen's "BARE METAL" with respect to the massive TAM in Govt. Enterprise especially EIS, on top of "State" fiber needs identified here and the "Military" with the DOD and a BOD's historically stacked with Generals and others in the space. It only takes a few BILLION DOLLAR CONTRACT WINS to put all this "growth" debate to rest finally, and that is something that has continued to not make sense since the Days of Level 3 using Sean Connery, aka, James Bond or 007 to advertise their wares to government and military. <Lumen will be pulling new 288 count fiber into existing conduit on behalf of the state for the entire 1,900 miles. This will bring open-access middle mile connectivity by Lumen to “hundreds of California communities by the end of 2026,” according to a Lumen statement.> As for the regulatory put, Dr. Kleinrock and I discussed "ad revenue sharing" and "search revenue" proceeds as the "sharing is caring" method for encouraging and stabilizing infrastructure owners to continue making the mammoth investments beyond Lumen's state of the art network already in place. Earlier in our CYCLE, we had Crowe develop a "bit mile" pricing scheme that never took off nor is it ever spoken about any longer since "the status quo" continue to put a lid on pricing in grossly understated long term adverse "commodity status" that appears as bad as the energy space a couple of years ago where the price of crude including WTI went "negative," so that theoretically, producers would have needed to pay buyers to take it off their hands. It seems like that's where Lumen continues to be today, doesn't it? This BAD BIZ MODEL must be INVERTED! Don't be afraid of "FAIR REGULATION" which levels the playing field for infrastructure owners versus their TECH TASK MASTERS cracking their whips over Congress, FCC, etc. to keep infrastructure owners from being able to charge them for their customers "playing games" over our backbone excluding "fair freight" or "carriage" charges. Not UNTIL that adverse "pricing scheme" is changed, will LUMEN BE BORN TO RUN like she was expected to do at her creation. With respect to this concept of creation and The Level 3, err, Lumen's Network importance, I used to say, "there is no question about the Chicken or the Egg, which came first, because The Level 3 Network had to be BUILT or GOOGLE wouldn't EXIST!" Let's go, KATE!
Told you. >[–]JPowMorgan -6 points 4 days ago >Yemen is shooting missles at passing ships trying to induce an American attack. My apologies then, because yea, commercial real estate is a whole different can of worms. I genuinely think that large cities are going to be in trouble moving forward. Technology always goes for the most efficient method, and covid sped up the "work from home" situation. While that's clearly not a complete flip, technology was irrevocably pushed jn that direction imo faster than it would have been organically.. I think augmented reality like Microsoft's hololens and the like will be the way forward. Virtual offices, where you can interact directly with coworkers only digitally.. instead of physically. This eliminates a huge expense for corporations in regards to having office spaces, as well as for workers in regards to lengthy commutes burning energy, expensive properties, taxes, etc.. and it allows companies to hire the best AT a task, not the best AT A TASK NEARBY. The tech and infrastructure are nowhere near enough currently to meet the requirements but it's now inevitably marching towards it imo. This would allow people to work from anywhere, which imo will result in a flight from big expensive cities to smaller towns/cities with good amenities but much lower cost of living. Which would be extremely bad for the expensive cities since they mostly run on commercial property tax and couldn't reduce a budget to save their lives. Will be wild to see what the world looks like 30-40 years from now if I make it that far.

AI is just today's mechanical looms. A new tech comes along, everyone has a fit thinking its the end of the world and that human labor will not be needed and then in 20 years we're all richer, living better, and still employed. This happens every single time. AI is a tool just like any other tool we have created. Here do this real quick: With your right hand touch your thumb to your pinky and then to your ring finger, then to the middle finger then to your index finger. That is a REALLY COMPLICATED TASK. The fact that humans have these appendages that can do that means human labor will be in demand long after you and I are dead. There is a special kind of hubris that is needed to think that human's are able to surpass millions of years of evolution in a few decades. We're smart but we're not that smart. AI can do a lot but it is still dependent on the inputs you feed it. Those inputs come from humans. I believe a new job that might form is AI content generation. People's whose job it is to create highly specific content to train an AI. You want an AI that can create classical music then someone who has a strong understanding of music theory would have to know which kind of music to feed the AI, what modifications the AI needs, what mistakes the AI is making and how to improve it. That is the kind of high skill job that will form because of AI.

The media is really pumping the idea of value investing to hedge inflation, which I get it. I thought perhaps this may be a good time to consider eyeing for some growth stocks, and a friend suggested checking out [TaskUs (Nasdaq: TASK)](https://www.nasdaq.com/market-activity/stocks/task). Then Florida had tried to stop a vaccine mandate on Cruise ships, I thought that would be a bump (it wasn’t) now it’s hurricane season and that’s not helping either. I don’t know enough about options trading to buy any puts. Iv been trying to learn. For example I think TASK is going to be in the 100s and would like to buy some calls. As for CCL My thought process is that if I hold long they will rebound. Since I’m in cheaper I figured long term it would pan out.
