2 important things need to happen which I believe both will happen in the next 10 years: \#1 Inflation needs to consistently be more than 3-5% for years in a row. Anything above 5% will make this happen faster. The truth has to be in your face for the common person and this is just starting to happen. When people go to the grocery store and see eggs for $6. It will get people thinking and looking for alternatives because they literally won't buy eggs. When the common person can barely afford rent and basic foods, this will start happening. The common person does not want change. They want to work their normal job, take care of their normal family, have a BBQ in the summer, and drink beers watching the game. All of these things can be done cheaply, but once the common person can't even afford some burgers, bud lights and rent, they are going to start to get angry and frustrated. This is what needs to happen to make the change. \#2 Bitcoin needs to be accessible to the common person. I don't care what you say, bitcoin is not accessible to the common person right now. Cold storage wallets, get out of here. And please don't go on and on about the lightening network is accessible to the common person, it is not. You need to be able to go into any Starbucks, swipe a card, which has credit on it, , buy a coffee, and have that deducted from your bitcoin account. You cannot easily do this with bitcoin yet. But I can see a world where someone like cash app makes this possible, like in the next 2-5 years. In fact, it's one of the big reasons I'm long Square/Block and Bitcoin. I'm banking on these 2 things happening in 10 years. But honestly, with what's happening in the financial system right now, it could be 5 years away. So are you going to see mass adoption in the next couple of years? Probably not, but it's slowly coming and you'll thank your future self by buying as much as you can...

Welp… officially lied straight to my family and said we didnt lose money on any bankrupt exchanges like FTX… me, my wife and her parents were talking about taxes. Wife said our tax guy had a client who lost a decent fortune on FTX and was asking if I lost any on anything like that… I said no. Only reason I lied to my wife in the moment was because she asked in front of her parents. Her parents were in town the week it happened, in fact I was looking for my ledgers so i could transfer my BTC to it when i heard the FUD beginning. But i couldnt find them quick enough and was busy hosting a huge family BBQ so i just tried to focus on not food poisoning the family. But very next day—withdrawals were paused. So it was a white lie, but i said it. Didnt want them to feel responsible. It’s not a huge amount of money—i mean it is, but only about 1/7th of my crypto. Will have to clarify with wife in private. She’ll flip, but shes just not good with money anyways. I only lost money i had from crypto specifically because i had it in the first place—auss of crypto

You can thus use shor's to derive a private key from a public key. Bitcoin exposes public keys in the scenarios of certain address reuse and when certain transactions are sitting in the mempool, as well as very old 2009 era pay to pubkey coinbases and new taproot transactions. What will happen, if such a computer is used to attack bitcoin, is that it will slowly attempt to mine the most static of these coins, probably the old coinbases. Once this happens everyone will know there is a quantum actor and avoid address reuse or in the worst case just move to a new address format. It's also important to remember that a quantum attack takes considerable time, not dissimilar to mining, as it's the process for searching for a private key. Another Algorithm, called grovers, will enable a new kind of mining ASIC, similar to how generations of PoW devices have always functioned. The idea that a high qubit quantum computer would be wasted on Bitcoin to be extremely unlikely. It would be akin to using an intercontinental ballistic missile exhaust to BBQ some brisket.

They have the McRib back at Mcdonald's and I tried one yesterday, but it doesn't live up to the hype. A big rack of BBQ ribs cooked on the grill and flavored with Honey BBQ sauce is so much better (and has way more meat compared to the McRib) I kinda like homemade burgers more than the Big Macs at Mcdonald's too. The meat tastes kinda dried out compared to the burgers that you can find at places like Walmart or Food Lion in the meat section

Once you do it enough you can tell by looks etc if it's good enough. For the Brisket? I mostly follow the Aaron Franklin method with the butcher paper crutch. To go the extra level, learn how to trim your own brisket, use the decent cuttings to make your own Ramen broth. I like spice and grow my own super hot peppers. So I also make my own Kim Chi, I follow [this recipe](https://www.maangchi.com/recipe/easy-kimchi) but pass on the sliced salted squid. Mostly b/c I lack the faith in not killing folks from botulism from not doing that part properly... Some scratch Ramen, a fried egg, leftover BBQ and a pinch of some Ghost Pepper Kim-Chi is top notch poor folk eats
