I like to play games — always have — I started on Diablo, Doom and Civilization back in the days, now I mostly game on my Switch. So, I decided to look at gaming-related tokens based on market cap and... I couldn’t find anything interesting. What am I missing? Here’s what I looked at: Enjin/ ENJ is the top game-related token by market cap ($2.8B), games looked the best out of everything else, a few are available on Steam or via download but I couldn’t get one to work on my PC or phone. Darn. Decentraland/ MANA is #2 by market cap ($1.6B) and while the game finally loaded on my PC after 10 minutes and several hoops I had to jump in, it is slow and I lost interest not finding what the heck I am supposed to do in this open virtual world. Maybe I am just too old for this crap. The Sandbox/ SAND is #3 ($0.4B) and looks interesting — a bit like Minecraft dungeon in terms of look and feel — It however hasn’t launched yet. Alien Worlds / TLM ($0.3B) — I could not get it to work for the life of me. Kept throwing out an error between the game and the WAX wallet. I know however that some of you are using it so I will keep trying... Axie Infinity / AXS ($0.3B) — looks like a cute pet collector game but unless I missed something there is no DUCKING way I will spend several hundred dollars to buy 3 axies from their marketplace before I can even be let in to try the game. Who the quack does that??? Man, these NFT prices are out of control. Bora /BORA ($0.2B) — the games look totally my speed: Snake worm? I’ll try. Find the Bird? Sure. Push Sushi? Why not, I am hungry. Unfortunately the platform was down for maintenance. Just my luck. Dawn protocol / DAWn and FirstBlood ($0.2B) — It’s a Tournament-type token offering for folks who play Call of Duty, DOTA 2 and Battlegrounds, none of which my PC (or my brain) can run. My neighbor Alice/ ALICE ($0.2B) — Cute graphics and a sweet website, however it hasn’t launched yet. Atari / ATRI ($0.2B) — This could be the way Atari gets back into gaming, however at this stage they just have the token platform, no available games yet. After all this time wasted and no freaking game I could play, I gave a shot at NanoQuake to release my pent-up anger — that worked well but I mostly got my ass handed to me. Alright, time to go back to looking at charts. If you guys think this comment is useful, I might turn that into a post.
