It's still kinda very broad question but let me try to give you some starting points. First of all, there's nothing to hack/attack in particular. Bitcoin is not a thing, at least not a single thing which you can point your finger at and get someone to "hack" it (like you would be able to with a single database or a server). It's much more like a network, f.ex like the internet itself. Second, it's all open source and public, there is nothing where an attacker could hide some exploit, or hack some unknown security hole, because there are A LOT of eyes on the code, and it's been running for more than a decade now. Third, one of the pillars of bitcoin's security mechanism is the private/public key cryptography. It's a bit too much for me to describe it from scratch, but if you feed the search with that term, I'm sure you'll find good, beginner friendly explanations. The relevant certificates are the same relevant certificates that you would get in other industries. They won't suddenly ask you for a very specific blockchain-related certification. I am not aware of cybersecurity, but just to give you a quick analogy, if you were a data engineer, you would want to get DP-203 certification from Azure and Databricks certification. Working in blockchain or not, they would still think it's great if you have one of those

Sorry, should’ve said “extra” home equity. Ie paying more than needed or larger DP (if financially secured). Sure you save cash cost on interest, which also lowers your tax deductions, but when you go to sell, the amount of equity you overpaid literally has no impact on the terminal value of the asset. You’re still owed the entire sale price less your debt cost. Any incremental capital I put in as home equity is automatically given a 0% return in this situation (nearly all situations). I misunderstood your post title as to meaning when you should sell your BTC to acquire other assets (diversify). I was going to comment about taking profit when price was high vs low....but reading your post I think you are in a great (enviable) position at only 28. As a suggestion maybe just cut your DCA allocation into BTC in half and use the other half to start scooping up equity deals or start accumulating a DP fund for some rental properties once the price drops.

many exchanges do not assign actual adresses to customers when they buy bitcoin. internal buys/sells without moving to a HW will then not result on a blockchain transaction but only flipping a DP entry. without knowing how much BTC is held by such exchanges, this chart is meanigless

My theory on this is that it has become a type of "self-fulfilling prophecy", meaning that there are enough people who believe in it and obey it that the market naturally follows these trends a lot of the time. I'm not a professional and i wouldn't even say that historically I'm a profitable day trader, but I'm keeping on and over time i have gotten better. Key lessons I have learned are: 1. Remove Emotion - Don't trade with money that creates an emotional reaction...you want it to not matter at all whether you gain or lose in the position (At least during the early stages when you are forming your strategies). 2. Be Honest - Track your progress and be honest with yourself, along with being honest to the people you talk to about it. Meaning, don't only tell your friends about the 30% profit you just made today and omit the 40% loss you took the day before. Human nature is to want to look good, so being honest puts the pressure on you to want to do better. 3. Risk Management - With properly tuned risk management, you have a LOT (And i mean lot) of wrong trades before you go broke. And as your account starts to dwindle, you tend to take a step back and be more cautious/notice your mistakes. The method I use is based off my entry point and my stop loss...the farther my stop loss is from my entry, the smaller my position size is and since I'm still in the learning phase I have it so that i lose no more than 0.5% of my portfolio per losing trade ($200 account means $1 loss per trade if stop loss is triggered, I make six figures and started with $250...which, not to sound smug, is probably worth less than what's in my change jar). I actually trade using 5x leverage and while this makes some people cringe, trading with margin is essentially the same thing as trading without margin when using proper risk management.
