It *can* be. When SOL was booming I was doing LP for a bunch of stuff. Got around 4 ETH worth of profit. About 2 weeks ago I closed off all of my positions and camped them into stablecoins/eth. This was when WIF was at $0.40+. I figured that the meme train had run its course and there would be some sad days coming. For once, my call was pretty much on the ball. Here's what I would've had in my positions if I kept them LP farming: - WIF -59% - CHONKY -70% - USEDCAR -75% - WYNN -85% - MYRO -75% - POPCAT -75% - SILLY -50% And many, many more. Basically, you catch the latest trends and farm them while they're popular. Yes, you CAN make more if you catch a trend, buy it, and sell it at the top, but very few people including myself are actually profitable traders. With LP, you're hedging your bets and hoping for a few things: - Trading volumes are high - Your share in the liquidity pool is large - Fees are high - The price either stays the same or goes up There are problems too. You end up watching like a hawk. Rugpulls are very common, so the recent fad of the day might be a rugpull. You have to analyze communities, see if the community is solid, see if there are more holders than the usual few thousand rugpullers assemble to kill tokens after a big rise. (There are hundreds of these) - That metric doesn't always save you either, there are things like [this one](https://birdeye.so/token/BjBzvw6VX7UJtrC7BaYLG1dHBiwrXP1T9j2YfDEdP4zU?chain=solana) which started off, got listed on a big exchange, got 8,000 holders, then immediately crashed. It's stressful. I doubt I'd recommend it unless you are literally going to watch it 24/7 and pay attention to every single minute detail.

If you take a look at the Cyberkongz collection, they made Cyberkongz VX for their holders, which had voxel art. They didn't have to ask The Sandbox to make these models, they just made them themselves. I might not know much about game development, but I know some actual game developers in the web3 space, and they can in a short span of time, convert an nft collections art style to another one to fit another game. The thing with The Sandbox is that more and more NFTs are using it and will continue to have their own ‘space’ in the game. There are some extremely popular and big NFT projects with play to earn games coming out solely in The Sandbox and they have bought huge plots of land. If it was just these virtual worlds on their own I would agree but this is the digital land that allows users to use a VX version of their NFT and have their own p2e games inside. If you think of Decentreland and The Sandbox more as ‘platforms’ for other NFT projects to use then that tells you more about the potential.

Well theoretically it was interesting to me: - one of the projects I was looking at is Vite that uses a 2 token system for their exchange (Vitex) - the second token VX is mined by staking / trading / reference bonus or market making - staking the VX tokens entitles you on your proportion (of vx staked) of the transaction costs. Honestly this sounded awesome but digging deeper: - shallow markets (worse match making compared to popular exchange) - hidden costs (that did not account for vx mining) To me a solid trading engine & sufficient volumes is way more important than low (or no) transaction costs or even ownership of the transaction costs - because the slipperage due to illiquid markets is often larger than the benefits

You missed crypto dividends from trading fees. [Vitex.net}(https://vitex.net/) gives all the their trading fees to $VX holders, team only owns 10% of the coins as they are minted, the way to get vx is trading/marketmaking on vitex or staking the base token $vite. APY 48% dividends for staking VX but it could go up a lot if exchange volume picks up. the nice thing is they pay in BTC; ETH; USDT daily. [kucoin](https://www.kucoin.com/) , kucoin pays out 1/2 the trading fees to $KCS holders, APY 3.4% which is paid out in KCS, it's very low currently and I'm not sure why... I used to like it more when they paid out in all the crypto on their platform. [Kyber networks](https://kyber.network/) I was deep into this one, I like the burning on their token to make rare but the biggest problem was you need to do an ETH transaction to claim your rewards, every 2 weeks and that has become prohibitively expensive unless you planning to put over 30k$ I don't think it's worth participating.

Loool the second picture is sometimes what it's like holding or at least feels like during a bear market. tell you what I found helps, getting something tangible while hodling like dividends, all bear market I've been in VX coin it's a coin that gets dividends from trading fees on vitex exchange, basically got 2x my initial investment, took long but its reliable and pays out daily in BTC;ETH;USDT which is nice to get several cryptos. wish id kept the ETH and BTC though I reinvested it in other alts

The biggest con with vite is liquidity on the platform. The tokenomics are solid with a lot of utility but the upcoming vite2.0 and viteswap should fix that issue. Next big con IMO is the interface. It is going to get a cleanup in the upcoming 2.0 to be more user friendly. The pro of vite is all the utility that it offers and by staking vite (one utility) for VX you can get the platforms dividends. The platform is essentially govern by its members and the fees go to the HODLers. Then obviously from a speculative standpoint you have extremely tiny market cap tokens which are the prime examples of a moonshoot with a working product and utility. Another pro for a lot of people is being decentralized there is no KYC.
