Initially he went by the address he used which had the first characters 16DG. When we called out his bad behaviour on a podcast, he had to come out to defend himself. for example he consistently voted on multiple referendums taking less than 30 seconds to decide each one. He claimed that he had a « team » that did voting for him but eventually he just named himself « Giotto de Filippi» @giottodf on X and dropped all pretence of their being « a team » He got very defensive when we pointed out that for nearly a year his votes had determined the outcomes of every Treasury proposal, and he always voted against parachain teams, infrastructure support - this if course is a matter of public record. He has since split his 16DG account into other large accounts to maintain his staking income, but still votes in ways that are literally detrimental to teams. Like if the entire proposition of Polkadot (like Cosmos and Solana and Avalanche) was NOT about parachains I could understand it, but that IS the whole proposition and if you have one whale destroying that proposition then the project is failed. So many big names have left the ecosystem now.

I'm not sure if you're repeating this just because you like lying to yourself, but there's empirical data to disprove this statement. 3. Majority of 16DG votes are not with 6x conviction. Again, not sure why you're including falsehoods in your rant. 4. You're saying that voting with staked amount and increased conviction is something that this account is exploiting, but the reality is that this is how governance always worked, even in Gov 1.0 (it just had different prerequisites to make it to on-chain voting/decision period). 5. The anti-sybil attack solution that you propose doesn't make a lot of sense. It would simply force groups that vote together to create multiple accounts. At that point you'd simply distribute the 10M DOT across 10M accounts and each vote with 1 DOT x6 conviction, hence resulting in the same outcome. Not sure if you're replying here while filled with emotions, but there's been a number of naïve statements that you made, and it makes me wonder if it further explains why Totem Live Accounting has yet be successful.

Giotto (16DG) did not vote you down, it was the community overall. Your approach to your parachain was actually inefficient from the beginning, and you made incorrect assumptions that Parity/Polkadot will somehow intervene in the exchange listing process (which they never do). The whole point of DOT not being considered as a security was that no centralized power behind exists, hence you cannot have a marketing campaign ran by Parity/Polkadot Reality is that is that Giotto mainly influences content creating related treasury proposals, and even on those the 16DG group (it's a group of people controlling that account, not only 1 person) was defeated many times in OpenGov. I'm not sure if you're intentionally being untruthful here, if you're simply unaware of what the facts are. There are a few accounts in OpenGov that are representing a collective of users (ie: DAO). Those collectives analyze and vote internally on the proposals, and then use the OpenGov account to submit the vote on-chain. This is why you'll see some "whale" accounts voting on proposals in a row within a few minutes, because the group already pre-discussed and decided on what the votes will be for the existing OpenGov proposals before-hand.

Parachain founder here. Running a parachain costs teams as a minimum about $4000 per week. Many projects our included were promised listing on Kucoin Gate and Kraken. These exchanges even contributed to our crowdloan, helping us win a slot on the flagship Polkadot. When we distributed the crowdloan rewards the exchanges took our coin distribution then refused to list us, which was very odd. We were not VC funded because we wanted to hold to the community ownership ethos, and not being listed caused us huge problems with our funding model. Honestly this should have been dealt with by Gavin when he was CEO of Parity - they certainly had the money to do help out, as well as the W3F sitting on about $500m and the Polkadot Treasury holding $300m. But the lack of vision and foresight in this area on top of the fact that Parity disbanded its VC arm and Marketing division has caused many parachains to stall and reconsider. The last year has been body blow after body blow for parachain teams and their communities so it’s not surprising that DOT isn’t getting the explosive price action other L1s have. The worst part is that a single whale controls the Treasury (16DG Giotto) and has determined the outcome of every proposal over the last year - and he has come out and publicly stated that he does not support parachains. Polkadot may have a lot of commits into the Polkadot code base, but all that is for nothing because all the serious parachains are getting zero support from the leadership, Parity, Gavin, and Giotto. I’m pretty angry about this as you can tell because I have personally invested 5 years of my life in this ecosystem and am not happy with this outright lack of leadership.

It’s a common trait in highly successful people. The book Emotional Success is a good read and goes into depth on that mindset. It took me awhile to change my mindset to focus on delayed gratification. While I’m not highly successful(lol), my net worth has improved and I’m a lot more content in life. Huh Kerviel did not lose anything. He was overinvested by A LOT and when they "found out" (or "got scared" as it's hard to believe DG did not know he was playing with absurd amounts of money), they asked him to take a break for few weeks and asked someone in a cave to liquidate all the postions he was given (kerviel's positions). Of course when you liquidate positions worth tens of billions in a very short period you end up losing some money... (SG was losing like 10% a day and nobody had a clue what was going on)

I should first clarify that I'm not particularly familiar with LVL's operations (and don't really want to make an account with them to find out more about it). So I'm not saying that LVL in particular is doing things correctly. Though for the sake of discussion I'm assuming they are, in an effort to help you make sense of what you're seeing & what they're telling you. One high level point that I think is important here is that just because they assigned you that receive address doesn't mean that other transactions with that receive address are directly related to your account. IOW one could look at it as: assigning you the receive address is not the same as **identifying** your account with that address, but rather just a guarantee that any **external** funds sent to that address shall be credited to your LVL account. That LVL account is not on the public blockchain, it is something they are maintaining internally. So I agree with you that it would indeed be a problem if they gave out the same receive address to other users, but that doesn't preclude them from using that same address for their own internal shuffling around of funds. Most custodial services decouple their user's accounts from the blockchain: when users withdraw funds they typically are funded from an address that is separate from the receive address, for example. In some cases user A's withdrawal could even be pulled from user B's receive address. So usually, plugging such a receive address into TokenTax is not the right thing, because transactions on that address are not necessarily taxable events for you. It is LVL's address. Point taken that a bank account # doesn't work in the same way. But AFAIK there is nothing that requires LVL to treat BTC receive addresses in the same way as traditional bank account #s, and their correspondence to you is saying that they in fact do not. While you're correct on principle, the mention of Doge and Shib shows that there'll always be a few lucky breaks. By which I mean, a trillion and quadrillion and even 100 billion are obviously virtually never going to happen, but even pushing up a quadrillion supply to a 10-50 billion market cap is an unlikely event no one should be expecting. You're simply not likely to predict the next meme explosion. I'd vote for $DG. It's a casino built in Decentraland and is a *very mature* project. It's ATH was \~$600, but it's at a discount in comparison today. Check the recent charts since it hit the low around \~$100. After adding poker, it's becoming super popular again and has a fixed total number of tokens (1,000,000). Good partnerships, MVI indexes, swap sites, etc. Though, I'd take this one step further. I'd buy this asset on Polygon and do some yield farming. Staking your liquidity on either QuickSwap or SushiSwap will get you rewards of 50 to 90%.
