Well the real reason that Bitcoin cash "Forked" off from bitcoin(as many thousands have coins have done and continue to do) is because it wanted to increase the block size to handle more transactions. But none of that really matters because bitcoin cash isn't real bitcoin so like ALL other forks (litecoin, dodgecoin, bitcoin cash bitcoin SV) fell off hard and other boomed for other reasons like dodge coin. The point is, if you aren't actually bitcoin, nobody cares. Bitcoin already had its network effect built up for years before BCH ever did, and BOOM here comes this other clone that will fail again.

The storm is building. I asked this same question of a friend last night - "BTC at 72k, 4% above previous ATH and I feel like there's no excitement". I think - for those of us who are/have been here since 2021 and prior, it's simply that we've been here before. ETH topped $4k and there was no marked movement in DeFi, except for a select few, that have since normalized. The big BOOM from 2021 came from the flood of NEW retail into the tech. The boom was almost a year after the halving...So I think "New" faces are going to see notifications from ST, YF and other "financial news outlets", and eventually get curious...until the point in which they start putting a little bit of money in...then the tidal wave will start. We're probably at least 6 months out from a real wave of \*NEW\* in crypto. That all being said - I doubt it's going to drive BTC to 500k or ETH to 25k or anything, but some of the smaller-cap coins that appear more affordable are going to see more benefits...and the riskier folks will start the shitcoining rally...

Well, he passed up a probably much needed sale (volume in a day) because he doesn't know about how the POS sale works. If he's not noticing a benefit (lower merchant costs, lower or no risk of chargebacks) he doesn't care about learning more, human nature of old ways. Now explain that if he enables a simple update on his existing POS equipment to enable Flexa or Lightning Network/Flexa, and all of sudden he's only getting charged 1% fee on transactions and zero fraud risk.
