Ive traded a few of those pairs, and theyre nothing short of a scam. You have to end your trade at the end of a trading day because the tokens dont rebalance. And there is not trading day in crypto so basically it leaves u guessing. they all end up at sub $1. For example, if you buy ETHUP and ETH goes from $100 - $200 in a period of 3 days you would still lose money.

Well, right now I am stuck with BTCUP, ETHUP and BNBUP, which is a bad situation I got into "unintetionally" when my limit buys got triggered over the weekend. Usually weekend pump/dumps are non-sensical and a good opportunity, that time ... it was the LUNA crash. Down ~70% since then (the *UP tokens are leveraged). I did so well because I was taking profits around ATH and shorting a good amount in Feb/Mar.

Seriously though, what's the difference between buying ETHUP or just ETH? Is ETHUP like a leveraged ETH?

Oh no. I never mess with leverage. Only sometimes get ETHUP or something on pumps.

It's not futures, it's leveraged coins like BTCUP or ETHUP

They didn’t even edit the page correctly from their other token BITUP, obviously a copy paste from BITUP to ETHUP. look in the how to buy section

The only times I use tether is when I am forced to. I would love to see Binance offer others options for their BLVT trading pairs. I often will have my 'trading money' go back and forth between ETHUP and ETH to try and get some more ETH when I am low on fiat. Sadly the only trading pair is USDT. Also if I ever buy certain alt's I often have to go through USDT to buy them. I wish this would be fixed and I can be done with Tether. I mean it only makes sense for Binances BLVT's to be paired with BUSD imo.

I shorted Doge a few times near the top - just play money to try and understand it. I was liquidated a few times but came out roughly even, maybe up a few bucks. Quickly realised that it's a fools game unless you're a very experienced pro-trader. I prefer the idea of leveraged tokens (like BNBDOWN, ETHUP) which take a slight fee but don't carry the risk of you being liquidated like regular leveraged trading.

Futures trading is your best bet, most exchanges have it but FTX and Binance seem to be the most popular. Having said that, keeping a long position open usually costs quite a bit in Funding Fees - in a bull market these can be as much as 1% per day at times, so you generally don't want to keep your position open for very long. You could also opt for leverage tokens, which has the risks, ,fees and rewards baked in to the price of the coin. ETHUP on Binance for example. This is generally just as risky and at times will even go the opposite way to what you would expect due to liquidation rates. I would honestly just buy the coin, and if you are worried about losing money, then set a stop loss.

While I wouldn't suggest it without some good research into leverage and risks etc., but a way to leverage what I believe to be a reasonable amount is with the tokens on Binance "ETHUP" (or "ETHDOWN" if you want to short). The leverage multiple moves between 1.5x and 4x to reduce volatility drag (and loss of funds).

I used to try and time by selling and rebuying but I usually ended up losing the crypto I had because I have to buy in higher. What I do now is hold my base portfolio and with a chunk of my unstaked ETH I will buy leveraged ETH (ETHUP) if I believe it will go up. If I believe it will go down, I simply convert back to ETH (not ETHDOWN though because I refuse to bet against it). If it does drop, I rebuy ETHUP when I feel the time is right.

r/CryptoCurrencySee Comment

If I were to buy ETHUP at 25 at it were to hit a new all time high it would reach over 500 so I could make more than a 20x return. Is this true or is there something I'm missing. Does ETHUP work on price?

Just to add to this, I don't believe trading the underlying asset using leverage is a security. A security is a derivative of the underlying asset, leverage is simply taking out a loan to trade the underlying asset. I think what might get banned is derived tokens, like how you can see ETHUP or ETHDOWN vs fiat.

ETHUP. Been holding it since the crash last month. Lost 80% of its price. I’m not selling until I get at least half of it back. Even if I lose it all to fees and decay. I WILL NOT SELL!!!!

Can someone explain to me how Binance's leveraged tokens in both the UP and the DOWN can both be red at the same time? https://www.binance.com/en/leveraged-tokens/tokens/allTokens Like look at ETHUP and ETHDOWN, you would lose either 70% or 85% of your money regardless, this makes no sense? This literally looks like a scam.

My sisters work associate had 120 grand disappear on him today. I'm not the only one, people killed themselves because of this. https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/gadgets-and-tech/coinbase-down-binance-revolut-broken-b1850149.html https://finance.yahoo.com/amphtml/news/coinbase-other-major-crypto-exchanges-see-service-disruptions-as-crypto-sell-off-intensifies-144447584.html "It added in a separate statement that it had temporarily suspended trading for all Binance Leveraged Tokens, with some exceptions including for BTCUP, BTCDOWN and ETHUP." So if you owned any tokens except for btcup btcdown and ethup you lost all your money. Which we all know is impossible as the funds backing these can't disappear, so binance stole from everyone because their terms and conditions allow them.

r/CryptoCurrencySee Comment

This is exactly why I would buy BTCUP / ETHUP if I wanted to trade using leverage. At least it doesn't force me to sell.

How many of you are planning to ride the market back down as well as up? I'm playing around with the derivatives (ETHUP, LINKUP etc) on Binance. Anyone else use them? Seem a safer play compared to leveraged trading with collateral, you can't get liquidated for a start. All being well i plan to put around 10% of my bullrun profits into a few DOWN derivatives if things go parabolic later in the year.

$2000 ETH. Now HOLD above. I love the Binance ETFs. Anyone else use these. For me it’s simple way to get leverage and do margin trading. 2X on ETH for example with just a push of button. Just as same as buying ETH. My biggest bag is ETHUP. Let’s run baby. BTC dominance is down. Alt season here we goooooo!

Leveraged tokens are coins like BTCUP, BTCDOWN, ETHUP, ETHDOWN etc. It's (more or less) like opening a leveraged long/short with 2-3x leverage.

Thanks for this. I’ve been using BNB and investing in the coin for 3 months and have loved it. No problems. And the new launches are great and thanks to your post I’ll look into getting in early on the next one. One thing to add, is they make margin trading Easy! BTCUP, ETHUP, BNBUP, AaveUP, DOTUP and more or DOWN with leverage. Minimal fee. I am bullish on a number of these coins and don’t really want to do leverage at ByBit as it feels too risky for me so this makes it easy.

r/CryptoCurrencySee Comment

They also have BTCUP, ETHUP and Down tokens that provide 3x profits. Less risky than regular margin trading for those who are interested.
