There's always a risk that the platform (CEFI) or the Smart contract (DEFI) gets exploited. There was a recent 160M hack of EULER DEFI platform for example where users lost everything.
MAPLE is already running so that might be too late but I have a second bet on EULER that hasn't gone too far yet. All in the same ballpark of trying to grow to compete with the likes of AAVE and COMPOUND.
