I don’t know man, if history is any indication we’re getting near a peak. We’ll know once FOMO starts kicking in. Just make sure you take profits and don’t get too greedy. If it crashes (and I’m 100% certain it will), the downside will be massive. In that case, you’ll be better off having taken profits so you can buy back in. At one point, people will be taking their main chunk of profits. Most whales who bought in heavily during the bear market will cash out. And retail will be the ones left holding the bags.

Very true! But doesn't mean that there is no rhyme or reason to anything happening at all. We may not know what caused BTC to pump, but we've all felt the FOMO of buying in now that it does. We may not know when this pump will end, but at some point we'll all feel BTC might be getting too expensive and will switch to our favorite alts instead.

Call me boring, but I would rather not put my money into something that has made 15-20x in the past couple of months. There are plenty of other plays in the market, don't get hooked to the FOMO guys. Exactly. A person with limited funds to invest simply will NOT put $100,000 into a meme Tokens like Shiba Inu or even Dogecoin. Invest wisely and limit risk exposure. Hmmmm. So true.... The problem is that so few know exactly what is going on and buzz words are so overused. I'd get the impression that they were able to make money from so little that it is almost free. In reality it takes the time, effort, and capital to turn a good profit. It may come from you or other people like in the case of those rich kids who got their money from, as the post metions, their already rich families. ​ The sad consequence is that those that may be struggling finacially or bearly holding things together are tricked into investing or gambling a lot of what few they already have. I have to admit, FOMO is real especially since the crypto market is a bit bullish. Hope I used the term right.

You can make quite a bit of money if you continue buying during bear markets. Yea it’s true if you have a lot to invest you can make a killing in crypto. But if you don’t have a lot to invest then learning to ignore the FOMO and buying at the right time is your best bet. 2018-2020 was a great period for small DCAs to pay off big right now. You just have to shift your time frame a little bit if you don’t have a mountain of cash available to dump into a coin.

This is why we should compare not to others but to ourselves. Invest what you can afford. When it grows ten percent look at how much you have grown compared to your own bank account a few months ago. Focus on your gain, not on the size of others wallets. This makes sure you value even the modest gains that comes from the large cap coins and forget about chasing thay small cap gem. Invest smart, compete to save agaisnt your own spending and as always, don't FOMO

HODLing is fine but taking profits is essential, if you just throw in money and never take it out, it doesn't make sense to me. One day your $50 could be worth $500 and next day it could be worth $25 so always take profits and reinvest but everyone has the FOMO what if it never goes down again, we'll, you still left some money in there to make you more profit and you can invest your profit into something else

Doing your own research doesn't equate to what the 'experts' are saying, time in the market is far greater than timing the market and most importantly, if you feel like you are rushing because time is important, stop and go for a walk. FOMO is a killer and rarely ends well. I guess another one would be if you invest in something you truly believe in, dips may sting but it's in a 'damn, if only I had more I could throw in', over should I sell and cut my losses. Strangely what I have learnt in crypto has helped in various aspects of my life and given me a huge advantage in the workplace.

You can FOMO but better take some profits. I remember when I first invested, was probably up about 15K after a couple weeks of investing. Felt like it was just gonna keep going up. Then it just kept crashing, and I kept buying. At one point I had invested 25K ish and that 25K turn into 5K. Long story short take some profits especially if this is your first bull run.

I came here to say that I agree but also that “HODL” isn’t the be all and end all of crypto. Any investor in any sectors be it Crypto, Stocks, property etc. Should either start with (or formulate from an early point in their investment) an exit strategy. You need to have a clear thought out strategy of when to sell or what is the trigger point for “this is too much for me to manage”. Ive found that of all things - this makes “HODLing” easier. I hate that term though since it implies no selling. “HODL” like your life depends on it - providing you are sticking to your strategy and not just blindly holding. Know your goal and be happy to have reached it. When people start to FOMO or get greedy - they’re often left holding the bags.
