I see the recession daily in my store, People are more likely to buy the cheaper cheeses, people are talking about energy prices and the government and are more complaining about the prices slightly going up. On the news we see people talking about their energy prices going through the roof and its ITEM after ITEM about the energy crisis and how to save money tips. Recession arrived in the Netherlands and its a darn shame.

Companies won’t just sit there to let you tax them, they always increase their price to offset their tax payment (which will worsen inflation) or create more tax breaks (so government cannot get the money they wished for). Same as pharmaceutical companies, if you lower their selling price, they produce less THAT ITEM, then launch a new item doing the same thing at a higher price. Welcome to reality.
