AMKR(Amkor) may be a sleeper hit for the coming years

Amkor Technology ($AMKR) is a semiconductor business that sure looks undervalued to me.

AMKR having a good day. Up 15%. Long term beneficiary of US chips. Great ER last week.
Ah word. I've owned NV5 in the past, interesting company. AEHR has been interesting to watch, which another testing name. Keysight is another name I've looked into the past and never bought. I owned AMKR for a minute.
My AMKR and RMBS are burning my portfolio to the ground…. Let’s see what UNH and UPS do…

I really like AMKR long. Holding my leaps through it either way but wouldn’t be surprised on a pop on more partnerships.

Absolutely, AMKR is a big one in my eyes. Lots of space for GLXY to run too
L why the downvotes? AMKR is going to rip
AMKR baby. Sweeping today got myself some cheap calls
I've been picking up AMKR, cause chatGPT told me too... it's profits are a year or two out, as its basically a fab tied to TSM Arizona, advanced packaging, but if you think the bottleneck persists, it seems like a good play for the long run.
I heavily invested in Amkor ($AMKR) about 2 years ago at $28 and it has finally come back to break even. I’m wondering: should I sell and rotate into other opportunities or keep holding? • If you were in my shoes, what would you do? • If selling makes sense, what stocks would you recommend right now? • If holding is better, how long would you suggest keeping it?
Chat, BB, SOLZ, AMKR, CYN, APLD, with the most in ANGX. These are the things rapidly up and coming in our society today, good companies, all undervalued imo, and have massive-insane potential upswing. Holding all, even when they swing & spike up. Investors sell too soon in spikes in companies like these and lock in losses with dips. These I am Hold hold hold holding. Opendoor Ive had just for a short term gain, for 3 months now, it doubled. Maybe 2-3 more months then will sell. Rode up Robinhood last 3 months, just sold and am taking a break from that. My main focus in angx. Buying the dips. It’s so thin that once news is out about it the price can swing back up very quickly to $20….then $50 & higher with each earnings call. Good ?. I’d like to see what people are investing and and why
$AMKR random pump AH? What happened🚀
I like AMKR and have been in them for a while. Packaging capacity in the US is going to matter with all the fab investment.
What's your point? Just TSMC? Remember things AMKR can do, ASE can.
I just got a few today lmao wish me luck. 40p for CELC , 2p for DRRX, 25p for AMKR and 10p for XPRO..
anybody play AMKR? 8/15 25c's were a 10 bagger today at one point
CLS, RMBS, CDNS, and AMKR all look pretty solid
If you want something different by usual stocks, I'd say AMKR, ANF & AA.

These kinds of partnerships are why I said AMKR was well positioned. Very encouraging to see. That said, I still do think they are on the more boring side of potential stocks. Growth will never be explosive and with tech/semis crashing there will be plenty of better options when we come out of the recession.
AMKR is a stinky pile of poo
Interesting, yeah not too sure. Like I think AMKR works with the Intel foundry, but I'm not 100% familiar with INTC's businesses.
Don't know how accurate it is, but Intel might already be a customer: [https://csimarket.com/stocks/markets\_glance.php?code=AMKR](https://csimarket.com/stocks/markets_glance.php?code=AMKR) They've won an award it seems from them as well: [https://ir.amkor.com/news-releases/news-release-details/amkor-technology-inc-wins-intels-preferred-quality-supplier](https://ir.amkor.com/news-releases/news-release-details/amkor-technology-inc-wins-intels-preferred-quality-supplier)
Surprised AMKR isnt down on that TSM news, if us government forces them to work with intc for adv packaging seems terrible for AMKR's deal
I've followed AMKR consistently for the last 2 years and you're right that this is an overreaction. That said, it'll be solid but unexciting returns. There are better opportunities if you're chasing upside but a good add as portfolio filler. Probably somewhere around 15%/yr over the next 3 years. They have been trending down off of negative growth that's likely to continue the next 2 quarters (traditionally weak quarters). But P/E is very reasonable and for what it's worth their price to book isn't bad. The next year isn't likely to have significant upside but on a longer horizon they are well positioned to benefit from increased focus on domestic semi production.
Here's my DD on AMKR: [AMKR 1-year chart](https://imgur.com/a/skLrYoe) What direction is that stock going, even before today's 11% selloff on 4x volume? Down. Or look at the 5-year and find that it's the same price it was 4 years ago. It's fine if you like the company, or 'believe' in it or whatever, but wait for a reversal if you're looking to buy to hold it for several months or more. If you're looking to buy it because it "has" to bounce back, I've been burned too many times by that. My 2c. Cheers.
AMKR should not be down on those earnings
AMKR can you stop having a fucking meltdown the one time I have calls 🙃
How did I lose on FLNC AMKR ACLS and MITK. I forgot to inverse the inverse....
AMKR 🖕🏻
AMKR beat but dies of course
$ALAB sell order filled at $112 AMA (unless it's about $AMKR or $ACLS, then fuck off)

AMKR calls? earnings after hours today
!banbet AMKR +5% 2d
I got into Palantir a couple of weeks ago. That's been my best recent play. I don't have any other big plays lined up for now. But there are a few recent big dips that I'm planning to research before getting into them some time soon: TMDX, CPRI, ASML, CROX, and AMKR
Semiconductor stocks were priced to perfection and i think today's basket of reports is a signal to get out . AMD guidance was horrible and AMKR failed to impress I just dont think you want to own any chip stock right now
Couldn’t stay away from this juicy $AMKR dip, opened a position in the 24s
That Tank on AMKR on premarket damn The overreaction on Q3 is real Looks like a juicy opportunity
My TMDX put gonna print, too bad AMKR and RMBS calls failed
Haven't seen the numbers yet, but $AMKR is getting crushed in the After Hours, that sucks lol.
Positions in screenshot NOV 1 expiry $80P PYPL $150C CROX $25P AMKR
Is anyone doing AMKR calls today?
I've posted about RLKB being my lotto ticket stock. I don't really like trying to find the next "so and so", but rather just buy good businesses at good prices. Always do your DD, but I think $AMKR is still really cheap at it's currents levels. What makes excited about the company is that they do advanced packaging for microchips and are currently building out a factory in AZ to help support Apple. [https://www.apple.com/newsroom/2023/11/apple-announces-expanded-partnership-with-amkor-for-silicon-packaging/](https://www.apple.com/newsroom/2023/11/apple-announces-expanded-partnership-with-amkor-for-silicon-packaging/) This ties into the the fact that TSMC just announced the yield for their chips in the AZ plant is 4% higher, which could mean that TSMC will continue to want to build out more in AZ/US. Also TMSC announced they will be working with them as well: [https://pr.tsmc.com/english/news/3174](https://pr.tsmc.com/english/news/3174) The other thing to note is that there isn't a ton of companies that do that in the US.
Everyone is piling on NVDA and big names… I’m buying other companies like LRCX, SNPS, KLAC, AMKR, AMAT, ASML, etc IMO, more money to be made on smaller companies that are still hanging around the <100B market cap in the long term if they can continue to perform well versus buying a 3T company hoping that it can double again in a few years.
AMD AMKR AMATMU
NVDA, APP, AMKR are creating generational wealth
NVDA and AMKR are gonna make you $$$

I recall someone mentioned Parsons here before. It ended up on my watchlist and looks like it had some great earnings! I'll have to look into it more. Bought a little bit of ORN today. And AMKR.
I've done really well on my AMKR calls... see my post history.
RemindMe! 10 months Acg7 Position -- Currently holding 7 $450 SPY P with an exp of 9/19/25, and 5 QQQ $400P exp 6/30/25. Still holding some AMKR calls until I see this thing start to turn around.

I dont see good prospects for growth. Quite to the contrary, the acceleration of vertical integration by the top foundries (TSMC/Samsung) and memory players to move more steps of packaging to in-house solutions is going to create a very challenging environment for AMKR.
Looks like $AMKR is having a good day off the apple event.
The few names I've been looking at are ACLS and STM really. Possibly ON, but I already own NXPI because they offer a little dividend and they are really great with inventory management. Both NVDA and QCOM are really pushing for auto, which makes sense, since cars are basically computers now. Just a lot of the autos and industrial names have been seeing a lot of slowness, part is because these companies are more geared towards EVs, which have seen a slowdown. Another great name that has seen some slowness is AMKR. They do more testing, but they are building a new facility near the TSMC plant for work for apple. [https://www.apple.com/newsroom/2023/11/apple-announces-expanded-partnership-with-amkor-for-silicon-packaging/](https://www.apple.com/newsroom/2023/11/apple-announces-expanded-partnership-with-amkor-for-silicon-packaging/) I'd imagine business should be picking up within the next few quarters. Should hopefully see PCs rebounding and some devices, plus if AI pcs/phones pick up, could cause a new device refresh cycle. AMKR fundamentally is pretty good. Has a higher float than I would normally like, but still have 54% insider ownership. TTM PE is 21, Forward PE is 17. PS is 1.2 and PB is 2 while having a PEG of 1.87, so basically this is a great price for a long term hold.
I’ve done a deep dive on the industry You’re cool and I’m drunk so I found HPE to be the stronger generalized data center supplier in the US CDNS / SNPS is a duopoly worth owning US mostly design so like and nvda Intel etc. and. A lot of the materials seemed low margin So you ended up better at the end product AMKR and VRT I’m into as well and I think are good companies
Yep. They do those sectors as well, but seeing some slowness, but if you follow the chips outside of AI, industrials and autos have been really slow. However, the stock is looking really cheap fundamentally. I'm a sucker for investor/earnings presentations: [https://ir.amkor.com/static-files/e8f0ad93-ef7b-4266-b857-2defb5580a0f](https://ir.amkor.com/static-files/e8f0ad93-ef7b-4266-b857-2defb5580a0f) On slide 6, auto and industrial is down 22% YoY while the rest of the sectors are kind of flat. However, with some refresh cycles coming with Apple, should help with business. Also feels like the autos will probably bottom sometime in the next few quarters. I really like $NXPI because they do a great job in cutting production and managing inventory, so their slowness hasn't been as bad. Nice thing about $AMKR is that they aren't over leveraged, so really if you think the company can execute, which I think they will, it's just a matter of time of waiting for the market cycle. I got really bullish on the company when this was announced: [https://ir.amkor.com/news-releases/news-release-details/amkor-announces-us-advanced-packaging-and-test-facility](https://ir.amkor.com/news-releases/news-release-details/amkor-announces-us-advanced-packaging-and-test-facility)
I really like $AMKR as a play. They do the testing and assembly for Apple. Building out a factory to help with it in AZ as well
All the Apple news looks to be positive for $AMKR.
$WWD is having a solid day. Feels like aerospace and aviation companies seem to be doing pretty well. $AMKR also having a solid day after earnings.
Np! Yeah a few others I follow announced today, I posted the results a bit up, but $AMKR and $WWD are up a lot from earnings, but still pretty fundamentally cheap.
$AMKR Q1 2024 EPS 24c, consensus 11c Reports Q1 revenue $1.37B, consensus $1.36B "Amkor delivered first quarter results in line with expectations with revenue of $1.37 billion dollars and EPS of $0.24. After a multi-quarter industry downturn, we see the first quarter as the low point for our revenue and utilization," said Giel Rutten, CEO. "During the quarter we continued 2.5D capacity expansion efforts to increase AI device output, enhanced key partnerships to further strengthen the European semiconductor supply chain, progressed plans for our Advanced packaging and test facility in Arizona and focused on qualification in our Vietnam factory for production ramp in the second half of the year." sees Q2 EPS 14c-30c, consensus 16c Q2 revenue $1.40B-$1.50B, consensus $1.39B. Sees Q2 gross margin 13%-15%.
Excited for a few companies I own announcing after the bell close: $AMKR $NXPI $WWD
