PE ratio is mostly irrelevant. I literally don't even factor it into my investment thesis. There are legitimate companies with PE's well into the hundreds. Nvidia used to trade at a PE ratio of 150 only 2 years ago. Then it became the most valuable company in the world. Why? Because market expected it to grow - and it did. A lot. It had an EPS of 17cents / share in 2023 (PE of 150). It now has an EPS of $4.03 - a 23 (call it 25x) growth in 2 years, and a PE of 45 now. PE dropped by 75% by EPS (earnings per share) jumped by 2500% \--- PLTR trades at a PE of 750 right now - and just jumped 2.5% AH on a gov contract. You'd have missed all the good companies if you only looked for low PE. I personally stay AWAY from low PE - as it means its not growing and is likely dead money. \--- PE ratio mostly don't mean anything. Don't rely on them - they really don't tell you much. If it's super low it's usually a red flag tho

With each one, the engineering teams I have managed have all been resistent to change "OUR JOBS ARE GOING AWAY!!!" I agree. Yes, the job you are doing today will go away. OR you can choose to think of it as your job is evolving into something different... I think the same way in terms of market. The market we have today will not last. You can think of that as a catastrophe or a chance to evolve. With the market, there are two requirements to your survival (imho). 1) The tolerance to see the changes in real terms. 2) The capital needed to apply the changes as the changes occur. While I love the YOLO's etc that go on here...The little bit that I do make up about this sub is that (most) folks here have free will and can see what's comming at us.

I think the most frustrating thing about this one in particular is two things: 1.) A lot of us practically ***begged*** people to listen to our warnings. I don't mean the single reply haters or the ones that took joy in watching people lose. I mean we gave damn near ever reason you yourself point out in the post. We'd seen this before, we knew where it was going, we gave sound technical advice. And we were downvoted into oblivion and told "if you're just here to hate on the stock, get lost." I'll emphasis that last point...you should never emotionally trade a stock; it's not a sports team to be supported. Hating on it won't make it crash any more then blindly hyping it will make it soar. When it DID squeeze we congratulated everyone but again suggested "Take your profits and run!" And again, told to fuck off and what did we know and "there's 0 shares to short!" by people just parroting that like they knew what it meant. 2.) BYND was almost a perfect example of one of this subs biggest problems. What I mean is...*it worked*. Capy and retail did it. Capy in particular orchestrated a sound, logical plan and it succeeded in hitting his $6 target. THAT was always the goal. All the "overhyped" stocks you see spammed here at one point DID skyrocket and make people money. But just like other hyped stocks here, it becomes a disorganized mess. You have the ones that made a killing. You have others that got in too high and got stuck. Other's that didn't sell when they should have. The takeaway here is the ones that made money *moved the fuck on the next day*. Whether it's BYND or ASST or whatever, these things have a very short shelf life. If you catch it, great. If you don't, STAY AWAY because if you FOMO and get stuck, all the "diamond hands/just HOLD" bullshit is pointless. Over a few days the narrative changes and these stocks start getting called scams and people say they were duped or the penny stocks sub is full of garbage. The stocks aren't the problem, it's people's timing. It honestly breaks my heart seeing people baghold half a dozen stocks for weeks or months when they were a day hold at best, asking when they'll recover.

As a Mac user from 1998 thru about 2023 I bought used Mac towers on Ebay about every 18 months-2 years, trying to double the specs as I could each time, such as going from G3/300 to G4/544 or whatever it was, dual core to quad core, you get the idea, but then things reached a plateau around 2015ish I guess with that round trashcan model. My early 2009 MacPro tower's specs still even today are close to what they have now for sale, it's a 6 core, 3.33 Ghz, 16 GB ram, I had to replace the GC to update it because of their new "metal capable card" demand in order to update it, that was the end of the line for updates- they stopped shippif DVD's with the software to have you log into the Apple store to install updates and it says my machine is no longer compatable, so a perfectly good, working Mac tower become force obsoleted about 3 years ago, that was when I made the decision to drop Apple/Mac for good. I spec'd out a decent tower and components, and built my own tower in a large case, and I installed Linux Mint MATE on it for the OS, configured everything to be 99% how I had my Mac set up, including specific key combinations for things I was using like cmd/c and cmd/p for copy/paste etc, probably 90% of the Mac software I used was also available in Linus; Audacity, Thunderbird, Firefox, FB messenger, GIMP etc. while close substitutes were easy to find to replace iMovie with Kdenlive, Flameshot for saving screen shots, Kate for plain text editor very similar to what I used etc. I havent looked back since, my 2009 Mac Pro Tower? it's still on 24/7 as it has been for years- as a file backup archive. I'm never going back to Apple/Mac again, I built my own tower cheaper than even a used Mac costs, I had even weighed buying a newer used Mac but it became obvious if I did for $500-$600 for a 2012 model, that it would only update once more at best and I'd hit the same wall again, so I built my own and Linux Mint works on ANY computer, totally stable for me, fast, low overhead.
