SNOW at IVR 82 / IV percentile 100 is legitimately rich. 8 DTE IC makes sense for a vol crush play but check if earnings are within the window — SNOW reports late May and that could be why IV is this elevated. BIDU setup is clean. China macro tailwind is real but headline risk is binary — any trade policy news can gap it overnight. 1-2 contracts with tight management is the right sizing. One thing on both: 8 DTE means gamma is running. A 50% profit target at this DTE usually hits in 2-3 days or not at all. Set your alerts and be ready to move fast.

I like the company but it's in a space where someone else could invent something more efficient that could hit the other companies. I like BABA, BIDU and one of the other Chinese companies that I can't recall the ticker for at the moment.
Selling MSFT and QCOM was a good call but holding ZS at -36% is risky – cybersecurity is getting commoditized and the valuation never made sense. CRM at -32% is more interesting, their FCF is massive and Agentforce could be a real catalst. Netflix at -29% feels temporary. The BABA/BIDU recovery is a good reminder that sometimes you just need to survive the drawdown.

Google is my favorite AI company right now. I like BABA and BIDU but the area of the Chinese economic cycle and the issue with sanctions and tariffs make it less attractive. I will revisit in Q1. I prefer the companies that can do AI at scale and that do it efficiently and put a priority on keeping costs low.

I generally look for stocks that held up the best during the pullback and found support at a logical level, then watch those for strength. The ones that show early strength as a pullback is winding down are often future leaders. I still vividly remember BIDU in March 2009 breaking out and running before the market bottomed. It was the beginning of a 1,000% run. Of course, I was too scared to buy...
In my opinion, the generational winners will be companies with the largest datasets will prevail - GOOG=BIDU > APPL> AMZN=BABA > MSFT=META but there will also be industry specific players (like healthcare, i.e., drug discovery , possibly UNH or research hospital like MSK or Duke Univ), defense maybe PLTR, travel = BKNG, retail (specifically grocery) - any large chains with loyalty programs (they know a lot about you and your preference) or TSLA has more driving data, particularly for autonomous driving AI. I would also not rule out Bloomberg as they have immense financial data sets and how companies interrelate. I suspect they are already using it and being private do not publicize it. MSFT except for OFFICE has been a follower or acquirer; they were way behind on AI and is the reason they partnered with OpenAI and now others. They have an enormous amount of data because of LinkedIn, Office, Games, etc. I personally am sticking with Google and META as they already have large datasets on consumer personal preferences and searches. Which you choose might depend on why you're holding them. For my thesis, which is AI becoming central to every aspect of the global economy, I hold MSFT, AMZN, GOOGL, META, BABA, BIDU, and NBIS in my cloud and platform gateways sector. MSFT is the largest position, AMZN and GOOGLE are equal, the remainder are less and equal weights. If my focus was consumer electronics, or autonomous driving, or something else, I might hold different weights.
And China BABA, BIDU and XPEV are green. Gonna buy 30% and 70% on this sale, to "balance" or maybe judt 70%VOO and 30% VTI for real balance

I saved all the headlines from Investors Business Daily and some from the Wall Street Journal at that time. They were all exceedingly bearish. Most were predicting a further decline, despite the bear market already down nearly 60%. It wasn’t a panic, that had already occurred in late 2008. It was just a slow bleed, finally wearing out market participants, convincing them the bull would never return. While I knew exactly why I was saving those headlines, sensing that the extreme bearishness was a potential sign of a bottom, I didn’t capitalize. Despite “knowing” that fear was at an extreme typically seen near bottoms, I was still too trepidatious to get back in. I remember clearly I was watching BIDU, one of the emerging leaders. It broke out and started moving higher just as the market bottomed. But I was still conditioned by the bear market and didn’t buy. Within a couple years, it would 10X.

I could regale you with tales of 2007 when BIDU was the top performing stock and when this old fart was living in Kyiv Ukraine. Tens of thousands, maybe even 100k, left on the table and I thought it was the end of the world. You people weren't even alive back then, but that used to be a staggering amount to young people. When a stock tripled in a year, that was a huge move, now you want stocks to triple in a month and want to be millionaires in your 20s.
