Mentions
In Q4 2024, Bitfarms reported a direct mining cost of $40,800 per bitcoin. This figure represents the direct expenses associated with mining, including electricity and hardware. Additionally, the total cash cost per bitcoin was $52,400 in Q3 2024. With halving, this cost will double, but the effect halving has is it decreases the inflation of BTC by half the previous block reward. The next halving isn’t until 2028, which BTC is estimated to be in the 125,000-150,000 range, however Bitfarms is still positioned to be mining roughly 10 BTC per day at that time due to their current expansion. I think you’re right in saying a lot of small mining companies will be weeded out, but mining companies like BITF will become the giants that absorb those smaller companies that fail, thus increasing their market cap and production over time.

Buy put options on MSTR, TESLA, DJT, CLSK, MARA, BITF, CIFR
I wonder how they will be able to compete with the likes of $MARA, $CLSK, $BITF and $MSTR... Hard to tell if they will shoot up just from increasing their mining fleet. Show me the money (btc) first...
I did make some decent money recently selling covered calls on CLSK and BITF. (I want to sell BITF, but only after it gets over my buy in price). I don't have extra money now to sell covered calls on MSTR. And I just set up a different account to be able to sell covered calls on FBTC, which I will hopefully be able to successfully do sometime in the future. Eventually, once I "free up some money" by selling BITF, I think I will sell covered calls on MSTR, which seems like a good stock to do this with. What do you think? Thanks. Sharing strategies (especially successful ones) is a great idea...and bouncing ideas off of like-minded, smart people is often helpful.
Is BITF and HOVR the play? About to scoop some up
I bought some BITF lotto tickets
Been invested in HUT since 2021 and made some money in the last run-up during that cycle. There was a large changeover in company leadership over last few years, issues with some power generation and several dilutions which didn’t help the stock price. I sold 1/3 of my shares recently to cash out initial investment and now we’re back on the right track and headed to the 🚀🌕. Recent speculation on new parternership with META and AI data center. And of course they were the first miner to focus on a HODL strategy. Also invested in BITF but that stock has yet to make any leaps.
So just keep dropping obscure names? CLOV! BITF! LONGEVERON!

# **TLDR** --- **Ticker:** $RIOT, $BITF, $HIVE, SPY **Direction:** Up (Crypto Mining Stocks), Potentially Up (SPY Calls) **Prognosis:** Buy and hold crypto mining stocks ($RIOT, $BITF, $HIVE). Buy SPY calls before the Fed meeting (high risk, author historically loses money on options). **Author's Track Record:** Abysmal. 0 wins, 10 losses in ban bets. Profitable at Blackjack (allegedly). Recent success with sports betting. Consistently unprofitable in stock trading, especially options. **Disclaimer:** The author is a self-admitted terrible options trader who believes crypto is a scam but sees potential for profit in the short term due to political maneuvering and doesn't recommend following their advice.
# **TLDR** --- **Ticker:** $RIOT, $BITF, $HIVE, SPY, BTC (maybe) **Direction:** Mostly Up (but with caveats) **Prognosis:** Buy crypto mining stocks (especially $RIOT if Trump wins), potentially buy Bitcoin and/or a Bitcoin ETF. Buy SPY calls (Dec 16th expiry, but author's track record is abysmal). If you're feeling contrarian, buy puts on $RIOT. **Author's Track Record:** 0 wins, 10 losses in ban bets, consistently unprofitable in options trading, but surprisingly profitable at blackjack. Profitable recently in sports betting. **Disclaimer:** Author admits to being untrustworthy and crypto being a scam. Recession is coming (so says the author and analysts). A nuclear war could nuke the market.
I've been trading BITF for a few years now. I like that their Bitcoin treasury is pretty decent relative to their price point and that they're one of the most depressed miners pricewise. The biggest drawback is their dilution, but that's pretty standard for small caps regardless of sector IMO. I don't play this for a catalyst, I just care about price action and whether or not Bitcoin is a hot theme.
May I ask what you see in BITF? Been on the watchlist for a while, but never really finding good entry points, catalysts, etc.
Sold my UAMY position from yesterday after hours. My average was $1.55 and I sold at $1.67. I'm scaling in again for today. First entry was at $1.35 and I have a low bid in at $1.25. Still building a position in BITF. It's a conviction trade for late December/Early January. I want to accumulate a minimum of 10k shares and right now, I only have 2k.
Scaling into BITF for a short-term swing.
About 98 percent of my portfolio is crypto, the other are OTM call LEAPs on MARA and BITF. Next year should be a good year for crypto with the new U.S administration coming in.
Are these the worst performing miners? CLSK,IREN, HUT, BITF or HIVE make more sense
Disciple’s, $BITF will guide you to profit…
I have much more in Mara asa well, but he’s just starting out and BITF is much cheaper.
I sold the puts on $BITF. Very cheap stock if you want to give it a shot with a small amount first. Put up $200 to make $23 in premium
I bought BITF at $1.50 and well... I wanna know when to get out? Because I don't really understand why it's a good investment. I also own ONE Bitcoin, by the way. If that means anything.
Where are all the Bitcoin mining stock folks? BTBT, BITF etc.?
BITF. garbage company buy i'm sure it'll run 500%
The MARA started running when they released their convertible bonds, the shorts on it fell off. The ones sitting on CLSK are going to go at some point. Then you’ve got the small caps BITF that’ll run last, when the FOMO hits the retail bandwagon
Bitfarms $BITF potential 10x value in my opinion BTC mining stock yes a pump and dump.
Don’t let the BITF bags I’m holding turn to 💩
Just buy CLSK or BITF instead otherwise nice
Yeah, I get it that we will only know in hindsight, which was the "best" option/choice. That doesn't help me decide what to do though. I will have to see the numbers at the time, and which feels smarter to do. Hopefully, I will guess right. I like "the plus" of being able to gain on the price going up as well, in addition to collecting the premium...so selling covered calls might be better/make me more profit. Selling BITF to have cash off to the side to be able to sell the cash secured puts on MSTR is a great "passive return" of 2.66% in a week, but it doesn't have this "plus" of being able to gain on the stock price appreciation which very well may happen. And I already asked the investment brokerage if I can sell "naked puts" and they said that it is not allowed in IRA accounts (Roth or otherwise)...so I can only do it IF the money is off to the side.
The "best" options are never known until we look in hindsight haha. You have $240k in BITF? That's some cajones I don't have.. haha But I do own BTBT, and for small cap stocks like that trading as low as they are, I don't even bother selling calls. They can explode up at any moment. I'd rather just hold and hope that the 10x happens when we least expect it. Honestly earning $800 in 3.5 days of trading (TG is holiday and BF is half day) on a $30,000 position is amazing already. So I definitely wouldn't blame anyone for going with that trade instead.
I saw 297.5 when I looked at it last. But you are right. I'm sure it's always changing. I was just thinking that if someone put a similar 240k off to the side like you did, and the strike price they chose was 300, then they could sell 8 contracts \* about 800 premium=$6400 for the 5 day week! BUT what do you think about my other question...that I would have to sell BITF in order to do this options deal, and in the meantime, BITF could easily go up 2.66% (or more) these next 5 days, so I may not actually gain ANYTHING by doing this! Perhaps, it's better, therefore, to sell covered calls on BITF for the week instead, and receive a big premium (not sure the exact amount) AND still be able to gain from the stock price going up. It's kind of confusing how to find and choose the best option (pun intended). Thanks for sharing your opinion and thoughts on this subject. Bouncing ideas off of like-minded smart people is very helpful.
I'm thinking of selling weekly puts on MSTR. I looked into it and the premium for the 297.5 strike price (which is low enough that I wouldn't mind owning the shares at that level) was over $800 per contract, expiring Nov 29. This seems like a win/win AMAZING DEAL. The only thing that stinks/big DOWNSIDE is that I would have to sell stocks (that MIGHT go up these next 5 days) and I won't catch/receive ANY of the increase...not in the share price of BITF that I had to sell, and not in the share price of MSTR that I still don't own. QUESTION: how do I think about this lost opportunity/opportunity cost? I COULD instead sell covered calls against my shares of BITF and CLSK, and in this way, both collect the premium AND gain from any price appreciation up to my strike price (which I would set significantly higher than the share price, expiring Nov. 29). Please share your thoughts on these options. Even though it's of course my decision and only I am responsible for it, I would really appreciate the help. Thanks
I love it when Redditors come to get glazed (they rarely show up when it's time to get razed, though) but at least OP is detailing his winning/lucky strategy with self-awareness. Thing about Bitcoin is... Nobody knows. The mob mentality is what got it this far. It could someday go from fiat currency to catholic reserve currency, too. Not in MY lifetime, of course, but I will certainly leave my measly half a bitcoin to my inheritors anyway. Not about to sell that or any of my shares in MSTR or BITF during my asinine lifetime.
Yeah mining companies are a mystery to me too😪. But even though BITF is based in Canada they are opening a new facility in Pennsylvania🤭.
BITF have a BTC treasury and it is growing rapidly (approx 400 BTC / annum), though it is some way off the valuation. The total value of their cash and treasury is around $150-200 million @ 70k/BTC. That will grow with both mining and BTC price. This means their price/FCF is v good though, their asset is some way off $1 bln. Might be a good investment if you think BTC will hit 250k. But I'd not invest the family farm on that scenario
Yeahh I can see that happening too but the options are priced accordingly to that happing😂.The options on BITF long term are just sooo cheap I had to jump on them.
I got in BITF years ago at just under a dollar, and managed to get out at $10. I was very inexperienced, and consider it my luckiest ever win. For that reason, I don’t think I could ever touch it again. 😅 Good luck if you do, though.

that's sort of the direction i was thinking myself. also wanted to get some BITF as it seems to be the only miner that hasn't ran yet with BTC action - but there's probably a reason for that lol
Holding RIOT and BITF options for January. Down so bad on them I will just hold to zero. Only bought a couple of each for fun, but damn these are garbage
Absolutely: IREN: Iris Energy Limited (IREN) is currently trading at $10.54, with a positive sentiment in the Bitcoin mining sector, but faces legal challenges that could impact investor confidence. The stock has shown strong growth momentum, with a 64% increase recently, yet the lack of a HODL position may limit its long-term upside. Technical indicators show mixed signals: the RSI is neutral around 52, and the MACD histogram is slightly negative, suggesting potential short-term consolidation. The broader market sentiment is cautiously optimistic, with SPY trending upwards, which could support IREN's price. However, the legal issues and speculative nature of cryptocurrency investments warrant caution. For today's session, consider a LONG position with an entry at $10.50, targeting $11.00 first and $11.50 second, with a stop loss at $10.20. Confidence in reaching the first target is moderate due to current market optimism, while the second target carries lower confidence given the legal uncertainties. BITF: Bitfarms Ltd. (BITF) is currently trading at $2.21, with a mixed sentiment leaning slightly positive due to Bitcoin's strong performance and potential for a "catch-up" rally among miners. The technical indicators show a neutral to slightly bullish outlook, with the 10-day SMA at $2.30 and the 8-day EMA at $2.23, suggesting a potential upward momentum. The RSI values are hovering around 52, indicating neither overbought nor oversold conditions, while the MACD histogram is positive, hinting at a possible bullish crossover. Given the broader market's cautious optimism, especially in the tech sector, BITF could benefit from Bitcoin's recent highs, but investors should remain cautious due to its historical volatility. For today's session, consider a long position with an entry price around $2.20, targeting $2.35 as the first target and $2.45 as the second, with a stop loss at $2.10. Confidence in reaching the first target is moderate at 60%, given the current market sentiment and technical setup, while the second target has a lower confidence level of 50% due to potential resistance and broader market uncertainties. Keep an eye on Bitcoin's movements and any news related to crypto regulations or market shifts that could impact BITF's trajectory.
IREN and BITF please!
Personally, I am betting on BITF in comparison to other miners, for a couple of reasons: 1. They are transparent about what they are planning to do, and visible info stats about their operation on their website with a clear focus on hash rate and wattage efficiency 2. Low debt levels in comparison to other miners 3. Low institutional holders in comparison to other mines 4. One of the lowest Market Cap out of the core major miners, while having a comparable number of BTC mined and revenue 5. RIOT hostile takeover attempt just passed, this caused BITF to have an additional unexpected professional service cost https://preview.redd.it/r1lsrklmy61e1.png?width=1034&format=png&auto=webp&s=78f2375195acbce139db451af5d50cfede1f6e75
Whilst I'm bullish and hold MARA, CLSK and BITF any specfic reason why BITF over the others?
If GREE is #2, why not the #1 BITF?
I have been flipping BITF shares for a couple of years now .. it's slow moving but I prefer shares for this play.
I like both and have calls on both, I feel WULF will do better than BITF. I wasn't into crypto miners during the bull run last cycle but from most of their charts it looks like they squeezed out when Bitcoin ran up. It does seem like Bitcoin running up determines how much they will squeeze out this cycle. If Bitcoin passes 150k this bull run it will be a very lucrative play. I actually own mostly leaps that I bought last year that expire Jan of 2025 so I have already done excellent on most of them.
I missed on WULF even though I knew I should. But what’s your thoughts on BITF?
BITF May 16 2025 2.5 CALL: 335 average at 0.8119
What do you think of BITF ? I throught it might pump with Q4 results but seems not
….and yet MARA, BTBT, BITF, COIN and others crashing? They should be at ATH as well. (Says me, a ‘22 bag holder waiting to offload finally lol)
Blockchain: MARA CLSK CAN BITF RIOT in that order AI: MSFT for the win. I'm long on BAIDU too
Because the breakeven price is 85k. There are other miners that are just much more efficient. CLSK - 75k ; WULF - 41.5k; BITF - 47.3k; HUT 26.2k. It should be the last of the miners to move if we're just looking at earnings and fundamentals.
Try one of these; HUT CIFR CLSK BITF BTBT WULF HIVE RIOT MSTR
You got it! BITF: > Bitfarms Ltd. (BITF) is showing signs of short-term bullish momentum, driven by Bitcoin’s strong performance and anticipation of upcoming earnings, with a current price of $2.575. The technical indicators are supportive of this trend: the RSI is in overbought territory, suggesting strong buying pressure, while the MACD shows a positive histogram, indicating upward momentum. The stock has recently experienced increased volatility, likely due to speculation about a potential short squeeze, although this remains speculative without a clear catalyst. The broader market is in a robust uptrend, which could further support BITF’s price movement. For today’s trading session, consider a long position with an entry around $2.55, targeting $2.75 as the first price target and $3.00 as the second, with a stop loss at $2.40. Confidence in reaching the first target is moderate, given the current momentum and market conditions, while the second target carries higher risk due to potential volatility. Overall, while optimism for short-term gains exists, caution is advised due to mixed sentiment and speculative nature. TVGN: > Tevogen Bio Holdings Inc. (TVGN) is experiencing a positive sentiment driven by its strategic partnership with Microsoft, enhancing its AI capabilities in drug discovery. Despite the bullish outlook, caution is advised due to its pre-clinical status and potential volatility. The stock’s recent price surge has been significant, but technical indicators like the RSI around 49 suggest it’s not overbought yet. The MACD histogram is negative, indicating bearish momentum, while the current price of $1.54 is below both the 10-day SMA ($1.76) and 20-day EMA ($1.63), suggesting potential downward pressure. Given the broader market’s robust uptrend, TVGN might see some support, but its low volume compared to the 65-day average indicates limited buying interest. For today’s session, consider a SHORT position with an entry at $1.54, targeting $1.40 first and $1.30 second, with a stop loss at $1.60. Confidence in the first target is moderate due to mixed technical signals, while the second target carries lower confidence given the speculative nature of biotech stocks. TPST: > Tempest Therapeutics, Inc. (TPST) is currently trading at $1.1199 with a market cap of approximately $27.98 million and a low trading volume compared to its 65-day average, indicating limited investor interest. The stock’s technical indicators show mixed signals: the 10-day SMA is below the current price, suggesting short-term bullishness, while the MACD histogram is positive, indicating potential upward momentum. However, the RSI values are approaching overbought levels, which could signal a pullback. Given the broader market’s robust uptrend driven by macroeconomic factors, TPST might experience some sympathy gains, but its lack of news and sparse sentiment data suggest caution. For today’s session, consider a long position with an entry around $1.11, targeting $1.15 as the first target and $1.20 as the second, with a stop loss at $1.05. Confidence in reaching the first target is moderate due to the overall market strength, but the second target carries lower confidence given TPST’s low volume and lack of significant catalysts. Keep an eye on broader market movements and any emerging news that could impact TPST’s trajectory.
