FINV call. Take me to the moon
I’ve seen you talk a lot about China stocks here, so I wanted to ask your thoughts on FINV. P/E of 4 and a 4.3% dividend seems incredible but I’m not sure if the reward outweighs the risk.
Has anyone looked at FINV? They are a chinese online finance platform that connects individual borrowers with institutions. Their main business is in China but have been expanding and seeing rapid growth in Indonesia and the Philippines as well. Aside from the obvious China risk, is there a reason the company stock is so deeply discounted? Some of the keys stats: P/E: 4.2 Market Cap: 835.56 mil Income: 336.28 mil Dividend: 4.39% The company has low debt, has consistently grown revenue over the past 5 years, high operating margin, high ROA & ROI. Reduced outstanding shares over the past year. And high FCF which they have used to purchase stock and pay out to investors. Even if revenue growth slows (which I don’t see happening naturally but may because of economic slowdown which would hurt it for a year or 2) I don’t see why this company is trading at such a discount. Would love to hear some thoughts before adding to my portfolio. I already know the major risks: -China Slowdown -Sanction on China for possible Taiwan invasion -Government interference -Credit risk

Have not dug too deep yet but will be doing a deep dive soon. I know they have pretty organic growth with high cash flow that they chose to return to investors as dividends. They have also expanded business throughout several countries. I think a lot of macro concerns put downward pressure on FINV, given it is based on individual loans, business can easily take a hit if economy slows, people default, wars continue etc.
Also currently starting my evaluation of FINV. Unbelievable growth and earnings with no debt and good dividend payouts to investors. Only concern is the market they are in while already being a chinese name. But will do my DD
FINV - trades less than book value, growing revenues, dividend, large institutional ownership NISN - price to book ratio of 0.17! Repurchasing stock,
FINV? Wow. Never seen anyone else trade that stock
Easy money can be made in stocks that are heavily out of favor/being shorted by US investors: small cap oil & gas stocks, small cap mining stocks, Chinese stocks (e.g. FINV) & prison stocks (e.g. GEO). The problem with these stocks is that they're cheap to short, so when they get on a good run, short timers pile on to make a quick gain. So there's a lot of volatility with lots of low periods in between sharp moves up to new levels.
I got 3500 shares lol idk what you considered sizable but it was sizable for me. I think it will pay out assuming what I stated above and that going private isn't an option. Bets are placed. I don't consider this gambling, same as I don't see day trading as gambling. I was in front on the hype on blackberry and FINV amoung a few others. ..I'm not going to lie, there is risk and even a "safe bet" doesn't always go your way. I get that. I just cannot see this failing, if this stays public, I will win. That's my opinion.
This is basically what FINV does ! I made a killing with them and they look like they're rebounding for a dip right now actually. Just wanted to throw that out there tho. They're Chinese so there is that. Glta
Every time I think we hit a bottom it just continues to go down. I follow blackrock pretty closely and they just continue to pump money in which tells me this whole regulatory fit between the US and China is a nothing burger. They even came out and said that they believed that funds were underinvesting in China and should increase their amounts by 3X. It seems though we will need to wait until we get the headline "SEC finds path forward on China company financials auditing" before we get back to busing. Silly sauce that you get companies like FINV that has a P/E of 5.42 with a 28.30% profit margin that wont go up even with great ER and expansion into multiple south east Asia countries. We still busing spy???
I got to say, holding your young child down while they cry and struggle against the anesthesia is probably one of the hardest things I've had to do in a while. Kido is doing good, already back to happy self. My port on the other hand... FINV had great ER but it seems that the pressure is still against china stocks. Had a nice 9% bounce on open that I sold everything at but no where near what I wanted or needed to get my port back inline. Going to have to go back to doing options on boomer stocks until I get the money back up. You win this time China! At least my only other play (JBLU) made me some money today. Dat QQQ and SPY jump today, hope my bulls made some money!
Not listed on the chart but FINV is reporting before open Monday. Posted a DD here on Friday. Hoping to see a good jump like QFIN had with their report last week. Likely to exit my position that day and roll into some LX and maybe FUTU. I might hold to enter FUTU to closer to ER depending on how its trading. LX looking at 7.5 calls 9/17 and possible share position as well. FUTU I haven't decided yet but I might go ITM for those calls since FUTU been so rocky lately and broke its support line. I would normally also play TIGR however they haven't released when ER is and they have broken all support lines so I think I will stick to my try and true.
Hmmmm the market cap for **FINV** is above our minimum threshold but still pretty low. **MAYBE IT'S LEGIT THOUGH!** I'm a bot (someone get Steve Cohen on the phone stat!) and this DD for [**FINV**] is cautiously approved. If you have suggestions for the Melvinator, then comment below or let the mods know.
So I just checked the option flow today for the fintech I am most invested in, FINV, and there are 12,790 calls to 20 puts for volume today lol. Please let this be a good sign my calls will print.
Big watch for me this week is 360 DigiTech (QFIN), the first of the chinese fintechs to report. They had a heavy hit to them when their APP go taken down for a period of time due to not meeting Chinese security laws. They reported that they don't expect it to affect the quarter much since the APP itself continued operating. Looking for a good quarter from them and to see the typical Chinese fintech bonce day after reporting. Not going to open a position in them, already have one in FINV and TIGR. Its a bit weird this time with the fintechs spread out over a period of weeks rather than being more grouped together, FUTU isnt until the 31st.
Finishing up my second DD post Finvolution group (FINV), they have earnings next Monday. Chinese fintech has had a history the last 2 quarters of jumping huge on day of ER. Currently holding 400 17th Sep $10.00 Call for them. Will likely continue my buying spree of QQQ and SPY calls if we see any meaningful dip this week. May close out those positions going into the conference next week as I'd assume red going in and green coming out as comes normal with FED meetings.
What specific China calls? Got TIGR, NIO, and FINV myself.
Rolled my TIGR calls over to a further out date since that isn't hitting 20 by next Friday and averaged down on my FINV calls. Chinese fintech earnings week for me cannot come soon enough....
Hope FINV stops trading sideways before earnings
So I will take an unpopular route and recommend a Chinese company, FINVOLUTION GROUP ($FINV). Got a P/E of 5.67 with a forward P/E of 4.58. Has a EPS Q/Q of 46.70%, Profit Margin of 28.30% and no long term debt. They do a yearly dividend off their March earnings report. As you can image being a Chinese stock they have taken a beating recently and are down below Citigroups price target of $7, though I feel that price target is low considering the health and expanding nature of the company. They have earnings coming up on the 23rd and I'd expect they will jump back into the $9-10 range again post ER.
FINV (2.08%), PTR (5.68%) You can use the stock screener on finviz.com to find dividend paying stocks based on country
I got FINV and TIGR calls, what you holding? Hoping for a bump come earning season for chinese fintech.
>FINV LMFAO, at the time of my comment, $FINV was 7.85$ higher than now. Then it went down to the gutters(-42%). I was right... Then it jumped back again when the price was Right! Your comment is retarded right now...
China hit their ride share company DiDi with a ton of heat for their choice to list state side. I personally don't believe they will be delisted (some do) but they will likely face a large fine. China is worried that the ride share info of government officials would be given over to US regulators or something of the sort. While doing this they made some notions that future China tech companies should think long and hard before being listed. Additionally, China announced that they are making all tutoring companies be non-profit. So basically these two things really driving home a ton of fear. On top of this we have massive floods as well as still a rocky relationship between the US and China (they are currently meeting). I personally sold out of my China stuff yesterday while keeping my Calls for the fintechs (FINV/QFIN) because I think you will still see the normal china bump to them during earnings next month. Hope that helps / is accurate info!
$FINV 0DTE calls… thank me later

$FINV up 5% approaching new yearly highs. Gonna take off soon
$FINV 10 calls are great prices right now. 11-12 is my price target
Told y’all that $FINV 10 calls would print this week! Almost up 10% on the day
I'm also wondering about why a strike price is limited looking at options. I have shares in FINV which is an awesome company Reuters just gave it a 9- strong buy rating median price target 52. Have no clue why nobody is in it 🤷 so wanted to buy options out to Jan 22 but only goes up to 17.50 so wondering why their not higher?
$FINV… green in a sea of red.
$FINV 10 calls will print this week
Here’s what I’m ape-ing TRCH (AH right now) WKHS FINV KOPN
$FINV options lookin real good this week 👀
I invested in FINV instead, seemed like a strong buy and most analysts agree. Wish is a garbage company
starting it here - bag holding FINV puts... who would have though shady fintech adrs would keep going up
Just passed a 10% return on my FINV yahoo finance was right about the play man!
I just bought 100 FINV am i screwed
I’m just curious about the market and if there are real customers. A year ago most of these stocks were worthless penny stocks. FINV QFIN TIGR all seem to be more like shell companies with fake users to me over the years. FINV says it has a branch in Wuxi with hundreds of workers, but nobody there knows anything about PDD or FINV. Now since November they all became booming tech companies with lots of promise after Chinese regulations stifle their business. I wouldn’t consider the data security the same. If you use one of these companies, I’m pretty sure I can buy access to your personal data in China and all of your family.
Finvolution (FINV) Not sure if this violates any sub rules, but do your DD on this guy, it’s an under-the-radar runner.
Went in on some at the money GEVO and TIGR Aug/Oct calls at open. GEVO has had a great couple of days in their earnings. I think that was truly the bottom. Wish I had used some margin to get in on more. TIGR has earnings next week and should be up this week depending on how FUTU does as the two typically trade together. Also looking at my largest holding FINV doing earnings next week. Hold a lot of at the money and out of the money calls that have been printing the last couple of days. Depending on if the price can hold after earnings I may for the first time exercise some of these calls. I am super long on FINV.
FINV play is working out great, my 7.5 call Jun 18th up over 60% today heading into earning next week. Decided to get in on some GEVO and TIGR ATM calls. GEVO had earnings last week with lots of news on contract discussions and TIGR is having earnings next week. Mostly the TIGR play is around the FUTU earnings this week as the two typically trade together.
Havent posted in a while so hey guys! Doing some $FINV calls around upcoming earnings end of may. ITM Sep 17, 5.0 strike. Lets see if my boy FINV can buck the trend.

FINV having a good day so far Position: 14x @8.20

Alright bois one more chance for people that see this to hop on the tendie train. UEC, TECK, SVC. These are all plays I’d highly advise for you to look at. I called out FINV when it literally looked like it had no hope and not long after it pumped. Good luck bois. Rockets for attention 🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀
$FINV is a gem. People will read this thread in a year when it’s over $16 and wish they could have a slice of the pie. I have $TIGR, $JFU and sold my $JFIN at $15, 12 and $10 after it popped. Looking to buy it back on the pre-earnings profit taking. $QD is another play in the space. Their management is a bit whack but the fundamentals are great. Next quarter we could see most of them 2x with all the China growth and emergence from the pandemic. Credit services and Fintech will benefit from the ANT, JD and big monopoly crackdown. I own $JD for many reasons and JD digits wasn’t a huge ordeal considering the spin-offs of their other businesses. Overall, China Fintech - It’s average risk high reward because people are still sleeping on this due to the delisting shenanigans. This nonsense has been going on with ADR/ADS with different countries for decades. GLTA - I support shorting for all those who claim chyna garbage or pump and dump, we can all make money in both directions!
I liked FINV until I saw it was Chinese. TKAT + OCG trending several days appear to be the latest Chinese fraud.
Been trying to get the word out about two stocks ive been looking into. VIDE is very undervalued and ready to explode. FINV is fintech, looking undervalued compared to the industry. It just needs the ignition lit to launch to the moon
I'd take a look at FinVolution Group, ticker: FINV. They are in Chinese fintech focused mainly on the credit market and have been reporting great growth as well as have a yearly dividend which the exit date is actually coming up, April 5th at $0.17 a share. At this point most of my Chinese portfolio has been centered around the Chinese fintech / credit industry as they got hit hard by new government regulations last year. Most of these companies are now inline with the new regulations and are expanding to other southeast aisa countries. FINV just got license to start offering products in Singapore. You can check out my DD on them here: [https://www.reddit.com/r/StockMarket/comments/ll7fsg/finvolution\_group\_finv\_undervalued\_fintech\_play/](https://www.reddit.com/r/StockMarket/comments/ll7fsg/finvolution_group_finv_undervalued_fintech_play/) Note its a little out of date since they have posted a great Q4 ER since then (and announced the dividen with an increase over last year). I'd also giver the Q4 ER a read here: [https://ir.finvgroup.com/financial-reports](https://ir.finvgroup.com/financial-reports)
Oh definitely, depending on where FINV is today and how the morning goes I will be averaging up my position in FINV. I think some of these may pop today for a little gain depending on how $QD Q4 ER goes. A lot of the times a good ER causes the whole group to rise.
Viac leaps, and China stocks XPEV, FINV,
FINV just beating my dick off today
I see a couple potential in the near term. I currently have a 1000 share stake in $QD which I originally though would report earnings last week but now looks like they will March 24th. If I am correct in them being up last quarter similar to $FINV and the stock rises I will take the profits and move them over to $TIGR which has earnings March 26th or $JFIN which should have earnings March 31st. $JFIN is a hard one for me because they already doubled on news they are getting into the NFT space, I am still evaluating if that is the right play or another one to go into. Lastly I have $LU which will be April 27th. There are a couple more I am evaluating but time is limited. You have companies like $LX and $QFIN beating earnings and seeing a nice jump on their report as well as $FINV. $FUTU had a good reporting but they are already overpriced so not much movement on them except downward. I personally think a lot of the whole sell on ER is due to the fact that a ton of stuff is currently overpriced so your not going to move the needle on a good ER. A lot of the companies I just listed above you could argue are way underpriced and so a good ER gives them a jump.
GME is not Chinese, though. Looks like no big Chinese company earnings are coming up. Do you have your eye on any particular earnings play for the next couple of weeks? Seems like the play with FINV was to wait for their drop before earnings and load up, haha. Wondering if you see something like it in the near future.
$FINV, will be issuing out a dividend April 7th and is on track to head into the teens this coming week. Strong year ahead and will likely see 2-4X over the course of 2021.
I am going to go off course what a bunch of other people said and ask how much DD you did prior to buying those shares? I mean DD you personally did? Doing your own DD makes you have more conviction to the play as you know in your mind that the play is correct. You look at red days and just laugh because you know that you did your research and you feel confident in the long run (or however long your play is). My personal example of this is $FINV, I hold 1500 shares at 6.01 average. A few weeks leading up to ER the stock fell to 4.5 a share. Thats a 25% loss. Now I could have freaked out but no I did my research and have an extensive DD on it (ive posted part of it here) so I knew the play was correct. After ER it jumped up to over 8.48 and is giving me a 40% return and a nice dividend. If I didnt have the confidence I wouldnt have held and lost money.
Current green on watch list: FDX (sold my monthly calls two days ago) FINV (bought a $7.5p after it popped last week, which blew up in my face) UWMC (currently holding 3300 shares with my asshole tightly clenched)
Lmfao Chinese FINV saving my portfolio. Tesla fucking it hard to. What a day
Got 2,000 and not even considering selling until 30. Also check out FINV and QD. We need your support and these guys are the real deal.
Yeh I’ve not allocated much to it like, had 200 shares to see where it took me back in jan, sold at $3.5 noticed it had dipped and watched the $FINV earnings last week and the price action surprised me. ATM and ITM calls aren’t worth it so gone with an OTM lotto to see what happens.
How do you compare FINV vs QFIN? Seems based on P/E at least FINV is much cheaper even after it's popped. Is the difference mainly in growth? Is there a difference in the products?
Cashed out that colon pill scanner. FINV PSTH and ChamathF welcome to my portfolio. Please perform well.
The fact that my FINV puts are almost in the money and they haven’t increased a fucking cent makes me wonder why I even fuck with options sometimes lmao
$QD earnings should be this week (March 18th?) and if they are anything like $FINV could be amazing. Closing out my stake in $BP and loading up. QD is not as solid as FINV but just playing off of earnings. Its diversity if I am a bunch of different Chinese fintech companies right? Might want to actually learn mandarin at this point...
One I dont see on here is $QD ( Qudian ) which should be reporting March 18th. I am going to be playing some options around earnings as well as possibly $FUTU. I am so balls deep in chinese financial companies at this point its crazy. $FINV had a crazy Q4 this last week and the call prices 10X, hoping FUTU and QD do the same for me this week. Calls end this week so the price point for QD is dirt cheap. Emailing the IR team to make sure that the Q4 is actually March 18th and TDA isnt lying to me.
There is one: FINV 4/16 5p
https://i.imgur.com/RSBEgmJ.png Am I screwed for next week? I have a bad habit of spreading myself thin with options. AMT 3/19 230c - Bought this 2/25 when the price was $225, right before it took a big shit. Has slowly worked it's way back to to 222 but I'm nervous. ASO 3/19 30c - Bought 3/8 when the price was $27. Price dropped and has slightly recovered, but I have doubts it will go up 5$ before Friday. CLVS 3/19 10c - Bought 3/4 because of DD I saw on WSB. This stock seems to move slow so I think I'm screwed. GOEV 3/19 15c - Bought 3/12 because of DD I saw on WSB. I am confident this will print before Friday. SPY 3/19 400c - Bought 3/12. SPY options NEVER print for me, I have no clue why I keep going back. SPY currently at $394 so I feel good about this one. UWMC 3/19 11c - Bought 3/4 because of DD I saw on WSB. Next week is supposed to be good for UWMC, but I now wish I bought a later date. FINV 4/16 5p - Bought 3/11 because I noticed a large price jump and I couldn't find any good reason for it. I figured it would drop back down after a month. MILE 4/16 15c - Bought 3/12 because of DD I saw on WSB. The DD said the value of MILE should double within a month.
Like this Very similar to FINV , never heard of this company before and even after the 100% increase last week the fundamentals look good. I immediately searched for similar companies and found another one I liked, the market cap is below 1bn so not allowed on here but it’s cheap and has ER the week after next. I bought shares and options on this play. Will look to get into this Monday morning.
Why won’t FINV die
FINV posted 100% gains this week on the back of impressive earnings. It’s a Chinese lending company but I’ve never herd of it before. Too late for that play. However a similar company YRD has its earnings release in 2 weeks. Trading at $5 and still down MTD. Worth doing some DD on.
