Anyone know why so many food brands are hitting 52 week lows? Just saw that CPB, KHC, CAG, K, GIS, FLO and TR are all hitting lows

I bought some FLO with some scalping profits since it’s trading at 20 year lows and pays a dividend and I like wonder bread.
BREADCRUMB FUEL CALLS ON FLO https://www.livescience.com/chemistry/chemists-make-hydrogen-from-breadcrumbs-in-groundbreaking-reaction-that-could-replace-some-fossil-fuels
Which is where the op lost me. Off the top of my head a bunch of consumer staples stocks like CPB, FLO, CAG, GIS, etc. are selling at 10-25 year lows. But nobody wants in on those because of the narrative du jour. It'll be the same thing when they pass on MSFT and AMZN and GOOGL at 40%+ off. If you wants quality stocks on that big of discount, you have to buy them when post on reddit and 80%+ of posters start telling you that you're crazy and throwing your money away. I'm bearish on the current market on the macro level, but this is the problem with being \*too\* bearish: you miss out on great opportunities to buy because you get in your head that you need to call the bottom. Especially if you want the picks of the litter on stocks. People who didn't go through the GFC don't even get it. If all of private equity went to $0 tomorrow it would be a drop in the bucket compared to what CDO\^2 did to the global financial market. I'm fully of the belief in the next year or so we've got a very good chance of retesting 5700
It's too hard to exactly predict where it'll end, so I'll start dipping my toe in on a few things along the way. Some stuff has already way overcorrected. Like I mentioned in another post, CPB, FLO, GIS, CAG, and others have have hit as much as 25-year lows. Things like gold and silver are on their own timetables as well.
Just a head's up all kinds of stocks like FLO, CAG, GIS, CPB, and such are at like 20-25 year lows because investors decided everyone is suddenly health conscious. It won't matter much when it's all people can afford to eat. CPB is even green today.
$FLO positioned to rip. People gonna be eating pb&js for lunch instead of driving to lunch.
Heidmar $HMR because they’re a commercial shipping manager with activity in Dubai among other places, have an AI angle with their efleetwatch software and I think shippers around the conflict region could be seeing some excess revenue albeit as temporary as the situation could be NFA. Also been watching DHT and FLO but they aren’t pennystocks, HMR is just under $1/sh atm
How desperate do people have to be to start eating wonder bread again? I am a FLO bagholder.
Add FLO to the list of falling knives I cut myself on.
Does anyone have any money in FLO this shit is just insane to me
$FLO has thr biggest government contract for bread. Bread lines. Bread for military. People gonna have to buy cheap ass bread for sandwiches since meat and everything else will go up in price. 10% dividend. Buy the bottom and thank me 3 years from now
Bought 1k of FLO a couple days ago really hoping this is a sector rotation day and not a 'freak the fuck out and sell everything' day.
Trying to make some gains good people we should check out FLO
Why did FLO drop by 40-50% this year?
$FLO has manufacturing in the US Competitor BIMBO is in Mexico. FLO has military bread contracts. The navy were seen eating a fancy dinner with rolls. BULLISH. 10% dividend. Holding a decade+ support level. If we have bread lines FLO could be a play here. Ozempic is bullish. People will eat bread knowing they can go back on ozempic.
Look at KXI staples ETF. I bought FLO today and its reslly moving.
Look at GIS 10 years chart. FLO as well. 5% and 9% dividend
I did some research into what companies would be best for bread lines if we went into a WWIII or depression situation. FLO came up as a top pick due to their bread manufacturing and government contracts Ironically, Fintel shows increased institutional ownership over the last year. Dividend is over 8% which is very attractive. Coming off a historical double bounce. Food for thought.
A lot of stocks got killed. Will they recover? GIS FLO same way
I say FLO back to 30 and GIS back to 90. Shrink those dividends.
Or full port FLO for bread lines
All in FLO. The breadline is going to be long.
Call on FLO? Breadline starting up?
All in FLO because by the sounds of the bears the bulls are going to be standing in the bread line
Consumer defensive screening: | Stock | Market Cap | ROE | EV/EBITDA | FCF Yield | |:--|:--|:--|:--|:--| | PG | $332B | 32.1% | 14.4x | 4.5% | | TGT | $48B | 24.9% | 7.6x | 6.3% | | SFM | $7.5B | 38.0% | 11.0x | 6.1% | | USFD | $17B | 12.2% | 15.7x | 5.8% | | FLO | $2.3B | 13.7% | 8.9x | 14.4% | **Your picks ranked by value metrics:** 1. **SFM (Sprouts)** - Best combo: 38% ROE, 11x EV/EBITDA, 6.1% FCF yield. Health-focused grocery niche. 2. **TGT (Target)** - 24.9% ROE at 7.6x EV/EBITDA is interesting. Beaten down from 2022 highs. Risk: Walmart competition. 3. **FLO (Flowers Foods)** - 14.4% FCF yield at 8.9x EV/EBITDA. Bread/bakery is stable but low growth. 4. **USFD** - Food distribution. Lower ROE (12.2%) but steady business. 5. **PG** - Quality compounder but 14.4x isn't "undervalued" - it's fairly valued for a blue chip. **Screen criteria for defensives:** - ROE > 15% - EV/EBITDA < 12x - Positive FCF yield SFM hits all three and has growth optionality (health/organic trend).
FLO back to 2008 levels. GIS exdividend date Friday. Buy today to collect. I don’t know what to think about these.
Looking cheap AF. Same with FLO
That was incorrect, users mentioned it. It wasnt imporant to MY thesis. I accidentally pulled in the divend from FLO (Flowers Food). FLWS has no dividend currently
So is it finally time for these stupid ass food stocks to shine? CAG, FLO, etc? 🤨 😭
my bread and games portfolio: FLO & FUBO
maybe my calls in CAG, FLO will finally print?
puts on DG calls on FLO, CAG puts on F thats my plays currently, i sell u my contracts end of week?
i piled into CAG and FLO LEAP calls 3 months to early
accumulation happening in CAG, FLO, lower beta, but catching knives
My moves tomorrow is to wake up with a built ford tough shrek, and sell 10 of the 30 contracts I have on I will then follow up with watching CAG and FLO volume to determine how fuc the rest of my portfolio will be.
TTM squeeze on FLO 0DTE 12.5C ride to 14? clankers out, bread is in, wth is going on here?
Can FLO save Progressive?
GIS, FLO. Basically consumer staples
Consumer staples such as FLO, GIS, KHC
Calls on packaged food stocks? FLO, GIS, KHC?
Adding to my FLO position. It's up 3% today, and around -25% extended from the daily 200. It's 44% more profitable now, than it was when it started selling off 2 years ago. They got it way, way wrong, and I'm about to capitalize on that.
Consumer staples (FLO, BGS, CAG, GIS) ... boring, priced for bankruptcy and madmax dystopian future. Also Futa Tentacle stuff is a spicy category
My two "dips" were ACI and FLO. Both have been getting knocked down brutally, for no reason at all. Caught falling knives on both, so I'm just watching from the dugout on those.
Can I get some opinions on FLO? The amount of punishment this company has taken is absolutely ridiculous in my opinion. The charts are showing the rubber band is stretched really tight.
LULU, GIS, FLO Looking to start accumulating Lulu at $130-$150 GIS at $44-$47 and FLO from $12-$13.
staples are completely dead LOL, is it time to buy. looking at stocks like FLO at 20 year low...is so tempting ouch
What's the play with FLO tmr?
Fuck you mean tomorrow I still got two minutes left, I’m dumping everything into FLO before earnings WOOOOOOOO
I moved my core holding from VTI to VTXUS. Up 9% on the year. The drop in the dollar has been quite nice to me. No regrets. Still mostly avoiding the US market with a few exceptions. (FLO, VHI, GOOGL, AMZN, TLF, C, BRK.B being the exceptions)
Last stock I bought was FLO. They make bread. With the share price being depressed the yield is almost 6%. The dividend payout already went up by 3.13% this year. I like bread...
My dad wants to invest in flowtech (LON: FLO) this week but I can’t work out how the share price has dropped so much in the last year - I know there’s a profit warning but that seems insane! Can anyone give me the dumb version of why please?
Hell yeah, pita bread with hummus is delicious. Thinking about buying FLO and BIMBO since they both sell pita bread. Better to buy a milk cow than to buy cow milk
... Boots with the fur. Errybody wuz lookin at HER. SHE HIT THE FLO
Should I roll my FLO 22.5p from today to September or just take my L?
FLO puts 8/23 DNLI calls 9/20 this is the way
This FLO Food company mostly just makes bread? I did not realize that they cornered the market lol so many bread brands all under this company? What do you guys think?
Do you think FLO will die next
My brother in Christ… That bakery wouldn’t have been FLO by chance would it? Flowers Foods?
She makes the blood FLO
Flowers Foods FLO always goes up this time of year, people buy hamburger and hotdog buns like crazy and then it dips middle of June
FLO Flowers and Foods engages in the manufacture and sale of bakery products
FLO is trending because I commented Flo Rida Poots on zjz.

I need insurance on my stock insurance, for this insurance stock. Help me FLO PGR TO THE MOON
**BAD BITCH. 50th FLO. EATIN HIBACHI**
Yea I plan to get rid of it along with $CBD + $RYCEY. I’d like to replace them with companies that are easier to research, pay some dividend, and that I’m also a customer of such as $V, $BBY, $HD, or $FLO.

I can't really recommend them right now as they're overpriced and getting their ass handed to them on class action suits from their distributors but... . FLO- Flowers foods, they own about 30 brands of bakery products including Nature's Own, Tasty cake, Wonder, and Dave's Killer Bread. Bread sales aren't likely to go up or down much but with the crisis in Ukraine flour prices are on the rise. When raw materials go up in price they have to up their end prices. Since they set their prices to make a consistent margin when prices go up, profits go up. They're very likely to outpace inflation in the upcoming years until the flour prices settle down. It's a touch risky given their current legal battles but you could do worse in searching for a defensive stock.
**LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLO, LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLO, LET THE BODIES HIT THE fllloooOoOoOOOOORRRRR!!!**
Those asking for reference https://twitter.com/OPT_FLO/status/1608899096420679680 Their trades are actually on the tape.

I guess ABR is about as speculative as I get. Have a little FLO because I just like their bread. I don't expect anything to 10x anytime soon.
PEP, CAT, FLO,JNJ, DUK, EMN, probably a few others fall into this category.
FLO (Flower Foods) seems nice, I like the dividend too. Plus I see Dave’s Killer Bread almost everywhere I go these days
Someone said $FLO puts are a move can anyone confirm
# Earnings today! Pre-market: $GRAB $BJ $CAE $WMS $KSS $VIPS $EXP $GOGL $LSPD $GOOS $MNRO After hours: $AMAT $PANW $ROST $VFC $GLOB $DECK $FLO
Downside: It's in FLO-RI-DA.
**LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLO! LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLO! LET THE BODIES HIT theeeee flllloooOOOOOOO!!!!!**
Aftera long hiatus I am going this week with 2 contracts Mar CRCT $30C. 10 contracts July 15 FLO $35C. and 6 contracts Feb 28 REE $10C I trust the market will swiftly deliver my reality check Honorable mentions: MKC and MMM
Essentials: Grocery and Utilities. Ya gotta eat and heat during a recession. I like AQN, Fortis, Enbridge in that order for utilities, Walmart, in Canada I like L , MRU and WN in that order but WN has a good dividend. USA I like Walmart and Costco, in that order - Walmart being a staples and grocery brand name. General Mills, Kraft, Flower Foods FLO offer reasonable dividends. As noted below, VOO or VTI are considerations on the ETF front but not recession proof, just well managed. Buying Voo right now is equivalent to buying at the all time high of S&P500, same goes for VTI and it being the entire market.
LET THE PORTFOLIOS HIT THE FLO! LET THE PORTFOLIOS HIT THE FLO! LET THE PORTFOLIOS arrgghhhHHHggggHHHHHHH!
🎶*i like diarrhea (ye ye) i like diarrhea (ye ye) poopin all up on the FLO* 🎶 #💃💥💨 💩💩💩💦
I’ve picked up Del Taco ($TACO) and Flowers Food ($FLO).
lol the motley fool has one one on $FLO. It basically says if $Flo is over valued. After you read through the whole thing and see their equations it says. This stock should be trading at $21 it’s currently at 23…. Well, I guess that’s overvalued……
Thoughts on FLO bread? Slow relative growth. I thinking of selling.
