Did a ride and drive in a Lambo Gallardo. I was used to driving racing Miatas on an AutoCross course and didn’t transition well to the slower style of a road course. The Lambo was cramped with a helmet and the driver didn’t like my “haul Azz into a corner and brake and then power out” like you do in AutoCross. The Lambo wouldn’t track well and the AWD felt weird in the corners. Wished I drove the Nissan GTR instead. Before you make fun of Miatas. Drive one with a turbo and a racing suspension into a 120 degree corner at 50 miles an hour and tell me what you think. 😊

This. Honda makes excellent sedans and crossovers. I think they make the best CVT on the market. They make great engines. Nissan infamously makes the worst CVT on the market and pretty much all their sedans are awful. The only things Nissan makes well is the Nissan Z, a few of their trucks and the GTR.

Ok I will volunteer to be in charge of Nissan. First I’d do another Skyline GTR that’s closer to the 34 with modern tech and a base spec Skyline designed around being modded. Then I’d fund a new fast and furious movie that is back to basics car culture and a new NFS most wanted game featuring the new GTR. Make Nissan cool again.
I get what you’re saying. But for me? I’m a car enthusiast. My dream is to take a non op 1995 Nissan 240sx and rebuild it with a whole engine swap and everything. Second dream is a 99 GTR R34. I don’t want kids, don’t like them at all. Would rather spend my whole day building cars. Driving is fun. I wouldn’t want self driving bc the joy is in the power of the engine and how to modify it to make it better.
Oh I hate Stellantis and I hate current Rams. I’m a 90s car person. Working there solidified my disdain of new cars. I like the cars that are cheap and easy to fix in my driveway lol Hey it’s a childhood dream car. Same with the GTR R34. It’s only special to me bc of how cool I thought they were as a kid. I’m not the one sitting here diminishing someone’s characters with no backbone. But yes They lead in charging infrastructure Their software is the absolute best and it’s undeniably so. The cybertruck is hardly a failure, see 2009 GTR’s vs present day for a similar story. Tesla isn’t a car company, they are a software company that also sells cars and they’re great at software. It also absolutely will not fail, if it looks like it will I can guarantee musk changes Tesla stock to include twitter, spacex, the boring company, or combines them all. To suppose someone is stupid when they’re clearly autistically brilliant simply because you don’t agree with them is asinine. Nissan is lagging hard. Their lack of hybrid offerings is only one issue… the other is that their executive management lacks imagination and can’t pivot fast enough for what consumers want. The only somewhat exciting car in their entire line up is the GTR and it’s been essentially unchanged for 17 years now. Shows how lazy the company is. That and their cars are largely garbage.
heard an alarming amount of sequentially dings this morning on the privy. Purchased NVDA shares in increments of 50 cents starting at 113 down to 108. Bought 8/30 130 calls and sold for a profit! Life is good, finally had lucky timing and was not greedy! Then decided to buy two 8/30 125 calls for 5.75 (basically the top). I know I’m in slightly better shape than the other guy with 135s looking for a GTR - - but just wish I was able to not go full regard for one day… Anyone with similar position or thoughts on NVDA 8/30 125 C @ 5.75 ?? Market looking shaky and there’s data tomorrow

Right? OP could've bought a GTR already and had a downpayment on a condo. Even the GTR would have lost value slower than these calls. It would have been a reckless purchase, but at least you could still have impressed some middle aged car dudes.

I believe Nissan stopped making the GTR. Either way, Wendy's won't pay you enough to afford a GTR. But, they'll pay you enough for a bus pass.

A lot of people under-value the "Tesla Model S plaid is faster than a Posrche Turbo in the 0-60" factor in the 10-20k market. For people who can only afford a 10k car, most of them are stuck with cars that would take foreveeeeer to get to a reasonable speed driving perfectly legal or cutting thru traffic. The 10k electric cars are way quicker and more nimble than any gas car of the price for the same reason a Plaid can take off faster than Nissan GTR. People WOULD pay a little extra for that. Drive or ride in the traffic of China / SEA to fully appreciate this despite all the crazy traffic, in fact those type of traffic make the 0-30 game even more important than rest of the world.
Should I buy a c7 z06 or a 2015 GTR. I've driven a GTR before and it was an incredible experience but I think the c7 z06 looks and sounds better but never driven one
