That’s condescending and your reverse psychology doesn’t work. I know all about $HBR. I know about $CISS and $IMPP too. Yeah, I know about their business. How’s the business of dirty Russian oil getting deposited into tankers just like these off the coast of Greece? How’s that working out for the global oil industry.
I have done quite a bit of DD on Heidmar $HMR. I will just add this, because every time I see any posts or talk about $HMR people believe it's a high cost low margin shipowner. But in reality HMR owns 0 ships and it's a fee-based maritime management platform. The correct valuation framework is earnings multiples (Like OP noted) and not asset-based metrics. So yeah the IMPP comparison doesn't really work here. But IMPP for sure also interesting. The Yahoo EV of $81M showing "EV > MC" includes \~$56M of operating lease liabilities. TC vessel commitments directly matched against charter revenues. Verified in the 6-K filing. Strip those out and actual EV is \~$28M. Not overvalued. The opposite. The closest comparable should be something like Clarkson PLC imo, the world's leading maritime services company trading at 17-20x earnings in London. Not a direct comp since Clarkson is primarily shipbroking but the asset-light fee-based model and multiple framework aligns far more than comparing to a vessel owner. As noted by the CEO himself they should be valued on P/E. Peers in this space trade between 10-15x. With 40 vessels under management, an active TC book, and EBITDA positive Q1 confirmed we are looking at some multiple of earnings that the current price simply does not reflect. HMR trades at under 1x earnings in a record year. At \~$28M EV against those confirmed Q1 statements it's not impossible you're paying for the entire business in one year of earnings. That's the absurdity here. And given what's been going on with tanker rates and the strait, HMR is literally set up perfectly for this environment. Upside is huge in my opinion. My main risks I found worth noting: Capital concentration — roughly 65% of the managed fleet comes from one related party family. Not a dealbreaker given they own 45% of HMR themselves so pulling vessels hurts them too, but worth understanding. Thin float — 5.51M shares publicly traded. Any buying or selling moves this stock hard in both directions. That's the volatility risk here and probably also why it's sitting at these absurd levels in the first place. This could very well be the most mispriced value stock in this market right now. Im not trying to pump, I've been doing some HMR work recently and had to write myself off hehe. All the filings and interviews are public so do your own research.
Fair value $0.2? Then why do 2 institutional analysts have a $6 price target? HMR is a management platform, not a tanker owner — comparing cash/EV like-for-like with IMPP is apples vs oranges. The growth runway here is completely different. They should be valued on earnings, peers are 3-5x higher so they are behind sector anyway. Contracts for 30 new ships in next year They are the “uber of shipping” earn 6 figures per voyage Impp is interesting though i love companies trading below cash no debt. Definitely best compared to other ship owning companies but this owns a few ship only because its main model is so profitable

FV=13.0 last Float=14M (32% Inst and 29% Insider) so this is not controlled by insider. HMR=0.8 MC=47M Rev=55M (similar) Cash=18M (less than MC +1 IMPP) EV 80M > MC 47 M (bad +1 IMPP) means it's over value. FV=0.2 last Float=5.5M (0 Inst and 99% Insider) controlled by insider. Overall impp has +3 Rev, EV<MC, CASH=MC. and all vessels booked for 20262027.

Nice picks! BRN and USEG have been flying under the radar! solid momentum lately. Haven’t looked into GLMD in a while, but if that catalyst hits, could be a good swing. I’m watching IMPP and ICON for shipping/oil exposure small caps but with real upside if the market stays volatile.
IMPP’s fleet is solid, no doubt 19 vessels is strong for their size. But ICON’s got potential too: newer ships, fixed charters, and growing fast. Smaller play, but could pop hard if dry bulk stays hot!
IMPP has 17 Vessels= 7 M.R. tanker, 2 suezmax, 3 handyzize dry bulk,3 supermax DB, 2 Kasarmax DB. In process of acquiring 2 more supermax DB. So total 19 vessel.
Good points! IMPP definitely looks stronger on paper with big rev, no debt, and trading way below book value. But ICON’s more of a microcap play with upside if dry bulk rates stay strong. They’ve added ships, locked in charters, and still have credit capacity left. Different sectors too! IMPP’s in oil transport, while SBLK/ZIM are dry bulk and containers. Depends what kind of shipping exposure you’re looking for. Both have potential, just very different setups.

I think I see deep pockets on both sides. When a hedge fund gets squeezed, they get in touch with the company they are shorting and make a deal. Maybe we will see a sale of shares with warrants and we won't know if there was a side deal of cash. Dreams of wealth will disappear. ($IMPP for example) If that doesn't happen, understanding what everyone wants will help. The owners of the unlisted company made the deal because they want to sell some of their shares. The short seller was hoping the owners could be forced to sell shares at a discount but the owners seem to have the resources to force the price up. I don't know where it could end but someone with deep pockets and naked shorts can hold out forever, so - not a squeeze. In this case, calculate what the owners expect to get for their shares and add a large margin to that. The less likely possibility would be for the owners to own more than 100% of the shares and to declare a dividend. The short seller has to pay the dividend on short shares. The shares available didn't update today so it might simply be unchanged at zero. The borrow fee also didn't change. The volume was 128M shares. I'm going to hold a little longer. When I sell, it will be half of what I have.
What can investors do? We can not buy Greek shipping companies. Don’t forget $CISS “parent company” $IMPP. Recently happened with $MGOL and $HMR. Fucking assholes.

$IMPP/$CISS with oil tankers and a grain ship that traverse the Mediterranean could be silent plays.
I mean, you just know the inherent risks with Chinese companies. I suppose I’d argue that the DD you did here could have been split between two companies, maybe one American (where there are ramifications of its discovered an American company is shorted, for example). Maybe check out $KULR (battery tech), or $TPET or $IMPP (oil), or even $RXRX as an Nvidia tie in play ($NVDA is the largest shareholder or $RXRX), or heck what about $NPRFF for a food/gluten-free holding.
CISS yes although insiders just bought more the other day. IMPP has not diluted in almost a year and has substantial cash on hand
For the next year and half, staying long and adding when one can or is right CISS and IMPP with the latter performing better in the short term. Def a quarter by quarter evaluation (they are Greek shipping companies) but the numbers don’t lie.
I am talking about CISS. It currently has 17.4 M shares outstanding. 5.82M shares that you know about and 11.7M shares of CISS owned by IMPP. Wait so are you talking about IMPP stock or CISS stock when you're referencing the numbers like OS of 17.4 and MC of 31M? Because I thought you were talking about CISS stock, but every source says CISS is like 10M MC.
It's all in the SEC filings. It was filed by IMPP post RS like a few weeks ago. Search for SC 13D/A. Let me know if you still can't find it and I ll attach it here for you. Better if you can pull it from sec yourself though. I am not saying whether CISS is a good or bad company. All I was saying is most people don't have the correct numbers. I could be wrong but something is really shady about the whole relationship. Pre RS, IMPP had converted 462 M shares of series A into common stock. Post RS they converted 11.7M shares. These are facts based on the filings on sec.I don't know what's going on but it surely looks shady to me unless I am missing something and hopefully someone can break it down for me.
Where is this data from? Literally can't find any website that lines up with your numbers. As far as I know, CISS is indeed a spin-off of IMPP. They both got flack for initially diluting shares to buy assets to become profitable. New companies do often drop in value during the few days after it gets listed, it's a common occurrence and new companies are not initially profitable. IMPP didn't become as profitable, but their market cap and stock price has significantly raised afterwards in the past year. I believe insiders and institutions don't even own as much IMPP stock. CISS on the other hand became really profitable if you just check their latest earnings and institutions and insiders bought up 28% and 48% of shares respectively just in May. Many sites agree that this stock in undervalued after being oversold after the RS. Many people have confidence that it'll rise back up in price.
This is what IMPP did and their stock price has been rising. The important thing is to get in at the bottom - even if you have to average down to do it.
BDRX and FFEI are done. BNED waiting for buy out will get a small boost probably. IMPP is the right one.

It can mean one of two things.. 1- shares have been returned and are now available or 2- more share holders have offered to lend their shares making them available. For IMPP there are 7.8 million shares on loan right now and 4 million are sold short. So there’s 3.4 million out there still on the sidelines.
