The news by itself I don't think is too noteworthy, but to announce the deal on the eve of their next earnings report (tomorrow at 8:30AM ET) for me definitely raises eyebrows. I can't imagine cutting a deal like that right before earnings unless you had some relatively good news to share...

For your information; SPRO phase 3 stage with partnership with GSK, if approved by FDA it will be first oral medicine for complicated UTI aka cUTI. ITRM FDA approved drug and the first oral medicine for uncomplicated UTI aka uUTI. I guess the GSK name behind SPRO lead the pump of the stock. And yes I’m holding ITRM close to 3 month! Depends how long you’re planing to hold for, ZAPP are doing a reverse split followed by a dilution, worth picking up at whatever lows it gets to after this. RVPH is looking for a partnership, as is ITRM
The real issue is ITRM doesn’t have the capital to bring this to market and the drug manufacturers know this. So if you’re a drug manufacturer (Pfizer, Merk etc.) do you buy it at a premium or just wait 10 years and let the patent run out and make it yourself. As a healthcare worker I’d love to see this used appropriately. ITRM has an interesting position because they still have 10 years on the drug. The clock ticks the moment you file a NDA, so most new drugs only have a few years to profit once you’ve done trials, submitted results to FDA and wait for approval. It’ll be interesting to see what this does.

Most here don't know this but Corey Fishman (current CEO of Iterum Therapeutics) previously helped lead the sale of MedPointe Healthcare to Meda AB in 2007 for $400 million. He later served as COO and CFO of Durata Therapeutics, where he led a successful IPO and ultimately negotiated its $675 million acquisition by Actavis (now owned by Teva Pharmaceuticals) in 2014. Across both exits, Fishman generated approximately $1.5 billion in total deal value. He has stated they are looking for a "strategic transaction" for Iterum as well. While we don't know for sure what happens to $ITRM many investors are expecting a similar outcome from the management team. Near term, this likely rallies to $2-3 range ahead of any material news on an acquisition, partnership or private equity deal. Analyst price targets are around $10/share fwiw. As always do you own research and due diligence.

I too hold a position in ITRM. The other item you failed to mention here is their CEO, Corey Fishman, has worked for other Biotech companies in the past and was able make deals with larger companies upon FDA approval. I think it's only a matter of time until ITRM is bought out by another larger biotech company due to the current CEO's track record. The price target is $7-$10/share per experts (not me of course). I'm praying news comes out and we get somewhere close to that. I've been watching this one for years since before the Zack Morris Fiasco.
ITRM has ORLYNVAH™ (Sulopenem Etzadroxil and Probenecid). ATOS is currently in some big clinical studies, but yes… technically nothing approved and on the shelf. The point was, RANI can not have a bullish momentum with zero product. I never said it wouldn’t be profitable at some point… one day. I don’t think by themselves they have controlling rights to anything other than the delivery system. I said the team up for the weight loss was a positive. I just don’t see this being an entry right now. I think I’d rather take a pill form of GL-P 1/2 vs injection any day. This could be good for them. Not shooting you down bud. Some positions I’d just wait to get the all clear on a product.
Look into ITRM, GERN, ATOS, SCYX. Much closer to making you money on being a bag holder.

Would rate it as “needs improvement.” Check the top holdings of SPY and QQQ and make sure you’re comfortable with all of the overlap, especially in tech. Any reason to hold BTC and GBTC? Why not just hold BTC? There’s a very high expense ratio with GBTC which means you’re throwing away money if you’re okay with holding BTC directly. The benefits of GBTC are that you can hold it at institutions that don’t provide access to BTC but Robinhood lets you buy it directly so stop throwing away money to the expense ratio. I wouldn’t be comfortable with the gamble on ITRM especially since it’s almost your entire portfolio but you know your risk tolerance better than I do.

I started my account with $200 about a month ago and now I’m up to $2,000 taking small scalps and reading the charts. Pennies aren’t for everyone but when they run they really run. As a doctor, i don't think this is such a massive breakthrough. I couldn't find many details though. In my opinion, the only case sceneario where this is rather huge, is if this Hep B treatment can cure woman with chronic Hep B infection that plan on getting pregnant, and even then, there's already a treatment for the newborn that decreases the chance of vertical infection a lot. ITRM on the other hand, shows promise with it's antibiotics. See, most sever UTI's are treated with EV antibiotics. These guys are trying to come up with Sulopenem, an oral alternative which could mean a huge change in the patient load we get at hospitals. I see an old lady with UTI every other week, is that common. If this gets aproved, i wouldn't have to send them to the emergency department. That said, i may put some $ in **ALGS** just to display that i may be wrong lol.

You're not trading, you're gambling. Hear me out. I'm going to take a wiiiiild guess that your investment strategy is to find your DD based on reddit advice. Stop buying stocks based on reddit. How do I know that you're doing this? You hold ITRM and CTXR. What was their revenue for the last three quarters? You don't know? Let me tell you - effectively zero. Those were the first stocks I looked at that you hold not to mention your PLTR. Granted, I trade PLTR on swings but it is still incredibly overvalued if you're trying to buy it for an investment for the year. I have a finance colleague that showed if you follow the average reddit trades, you would lose 70% of your investments. You're basically there. Buy VOO and stop trying to make money quick.
