Or just buy IXN, global tech etf

My 5 worst performing stocks today are - 5. IXG (Global Financial ETF) 4. VT 3. VOO 2. QQQM 1. IXN (Global Tech ETF) Bruh ... I thought these ETFs were safest investments lol. Meanwhile, video game company CDPR stock (it is from Poland) has been super resilient over last month and has stayed flat (and up 15% YTD). I am not too shocked but still shocked since VOO is down 7% in the same time. Glad I didn't sell it.

IXN.

IOO/IXN during Red political times. VTI/VGT during blue political times. Plus bonds/commodities at all times. 75/25 to 55/45 depending on market conditions. Rebalance semi-annual to bi-annually depending on economy/politics.

If you want a portion of tech heavy then go with something like FTEC or IXN or QQQM I’d still probably go 70-80% SPY and the rest in the other, though. You’re still holding it all in SPY, just tilting it more that direction. But QQQM follows the NASDAQ so you get exposure to some different companies.

IXN VOO XLK those are the only 4 acceptable answers really, or analogous products.

SMH, ITB, VGT, XLK, COPX, IXN There's a lot

r/investingSee Comment

My opinion: IXN is a good idea, due to the diversification outside of the US. Always good to have that, especially from a Tech war that's about to be unleashed. Also looks like YTD return, IXN is doing better than QQQ.

FNGS, SMH, IXN, IBLC for tech space as it's down the most And index-based funds like XLG, QQQ or even SCHG/FBCG

r/StockMarketSee Comment

No worries. If you do want tech, but don't really know the changes that keep happening in the tech world, you could simply invest in indices like IYW (US tech stocks), IXN (global tech stocks), FNGS Fang+ (Has the 10 best tech companies and is rebalanced frequently). SOXX is a great investment in the semi-conductor space. IBLC is good for cryptos and blockchains. Smallcaps like GSC and AVUV are also a couple of other options. For the long term, a growth ETF could be used to hwdge your positions, like SCHG (better than the generic VTI lol).

r/investingSee Comment

Because there’s basically still no other global true tech passive market cap weighted ETF right? I mean as much as the expense ratio is not ideal, it’s relatively reasonable for what IXN provides as well as it being the only thing that actually provides that.

Limiting yourself to Fidelity ETFs is... limiting. > Are there other comparable options to these which I should look for Tech: IYW, XLK, IGM, VGT, IXN, FTEC(Fidelity) Semiconductors: SMH, SOXX

r/investingSee Comment

FDTX just looks like an all world technology, but look at the top ten holdings its still dominated by US large cap tech companies. Probably similar to IXN. FDFF is a disruptive finance but its top holdings are V, MC, BLK, COF and some insurance company, not really that exotic to me. Probably get close to XLF or VFH FSLEX - isn't semi's its alternative energy. It doesn't hold any semis in the top 10. I don't think any of them look overly disruptive or innovative. They seem like sector focused ETF's

r/investingSee Comment

> qqq  If you want smaller company exposure there’s also ONEQ, which is basically the whole NASDAQ.  Funds like XLK and IXN offer more targeted tech exposure, but it’s important to know what that means. Many things we colloquially call tech aren’t though, for example META is considered Communication Services because they make money from ads and AMZN is Consumer Discretionary because of their retail operations.

I have a bit of VGT as well, I might switch that to IXN I like the fact that it has TSM, Samsung, and some others in it.

I have that and it’s done really well for me. Not only do you hedge between Nvidia and AMD, but you also get some of their suppliers.  If you want to go with tech more broadly, XLK and IXN are sector funds, domestic and global respectively.

On the other hand, “Global” or “World” funds usually mean international *including* US. That’s your VT or VTWAX for total-market, or IXN for a sector (in this case tech; being a global fund it’ll hold Microsoft & Apple as well as Samsung & Taiwan Semi).

Mentions:#VT#VTWAX#IXN
r/investingSee Comment

Do you think it's a big mistake to have IXN AND s&p500? Or just overlapping issues? Yeah I honestly just like some of the international exposures.

Mentions:#IXN
r/investingSee Comment

If you just want US tech, there are cheaper options like XLK, FTEC, and VGT (0.08-0.10%, as opposed to 0.41% for IXN). IXN is different though because of its international exposure, with its holdings including Taiwan Semiconductor, ASML, and Samsung.

r/stocksSee Comment

IXN is a global tech etf, but I’d probably use a broad market growth index (like IWF).  It’s cheaper and broader exposure.

Mentions:#IXN#IWF
r/investingSee Comment

IYW is probably the best comparison to IXN, not QQQ (since it holds lots of non-tech stocks). If you want geographic diversity either just get IXN or get a US etf like IYW/XNTK/VGT/XLK and then add the individual non-US companies you want either at the 20% ratio of IXN or whatever number you want.

r/investingSee Comment

I like and hold QQQ. However I wouldsay that if your intention for buying QQQ is to increase tech exposure, there are funds specifically for that: XLK or IXN for the sector as a whole (domestic and global respectively) or more specialized funds like IRBO (AI & robotics) or SMH (semiconductors) if you really want to specialize.

r/investingSee Comment

Look at XLK for big info tech, SMH for semiconductors, WCBR for cybersecurity. She could also compare those with IYW, IXN, XNTK, VGT and IGV for a start.

r/investingSee Comment

If you want some international exposure, you may also want to look at IXN. Like most Global funds it’s mainly US, but top holdings include Taiwan Semi and Samsung.

I put the ETF bit of the portfolio into DAYOSS I get (10% becomes 13% if we remove the crypto): Risk=19.6, Reward=12.1 I have a high risk tolerance and am ok with extra for better historical perf in the system so it suggested the following substitutions: 47% IXN, replaces VUG and SKYY 27% PRNH replaces VBK 13% IHI replaces VHT 13% PKSAX for FIW, You get a bit more risk for more reward: Risk = 20.2% and Reward = 14.8%. It also suggests ways to reduce risk, but I you can play around with it here https://www.dayoss.tech/ if you are interested

OMG, which era are you in? Active management is passe , because over long term, they fall behind index. In my opinion, a mutual fund is the worst. Better, buy an ETF tracking an index like VOO or IXN.

<NFA> What's your working situation - do you have a job, is it interesting? What's your living situation - can you stay where you are and buy a house in a few years? Can you set up a trust so that gains are taxed independently? You probably need a house. But if you've got time, you can potentially set things up in a 70:30 growth/income structure. Income cube things like BIT, AWP, Australian miners RIO/BHP/FMG. Growth could be MOAT, IXN, SPXL, etc. Part of this growth - 5%? - could be cash that you sit on, research, then YOLO the shit out of. Talk to another accountant - tax planning is a good idea (eg a trust), you've got time to ride out volatility, you can work in interesting jobs, retire a couple of times and find more interesting jobs, etc. </NFA>

Risk of a very long term pain in the US stock market is definitely much higher than the past few decades. If you look at the political climate, there are more people than ever who support much higher corporate tax. Chances are there could be consecutive administrations that will support tax hike and way stricter regulations on corporation. That could lead to some valuation reset for stocks globally which can lead to huge outflow from US stocks to foreign stocks. Not telling you not to invest in US stocks, however since beginning of the year most of my money is to VT, IXN, REITs and more on crypto.
