Stupid question, but perhaps not: if the seed phrase is not BIT-39, how can one maintain accessibility if Block suddenly goes bust after I lost my hardware device and there is no way to get to the coins because the app also does not work anymore? It seems to me that it adds a counterparty risk? It's remote of course, but it's still a risk that does not exist with classic cold storage. Perhaps the identical system, but with a paid service, two BIT-39 seed phrase and everybody can use the hardware wallet he wants and substitute the app with a second hardware wallet would be more appealing? Just thinking. For me the concept fails already because Bitkey does not have a screen.

Digital coins within games were a huge inspiration for the bitcoin project however, this game specifically was not. Although a lot of team members for the founding project before 2009 the BTC name and calling the project Bitcoin was not exact science. The inspiration for Bit Coin is the fact a BIT is a single unit of known measurement with technology and coin is a modern take on money that everyone in the word knows. Meshing the two seemed like logic, however I will always stand by my first choice ** Magic Internet Money

My advice to you is this. Every dime you get and can afford to put into BIT, do so. With regards to your car look for a used one you can work on for a fraction of the cost. The worst investment is a car, its a money pit and the day you drive off the lot your down 20% from what you paid. Do this for the next 20 years and as you earn more put away more. I bet in 20 years you remember this as a multi-millionaire retired and saying the beach is nice at my age. Cheers man, stick to this and you will be financially free and able to travel the world and enjoy life.

personally, I don't touch any of the memecoins/shitcoins. I've lost a bunch with Tezos, Cardano, Helium, etc and those are more legit than the memecoins which just make me laugh. They are like going to Vegas and gambling. If you have that mindset, than go for it. Most are scams and will eventually go to zero. Now BIT/ETH/SOL have real use cases and major brands with more coin diversification and less vulnerable to gaming so are better legit investment vehicles IMO.

r/CryptoCurrencySee Comment

Here's what I'd do in your situation. I wouldn't go more than 3 coins deep. BIT, ETH, SOL. probably 80-10-10. Since you have real income, I'd probably split 50/50 between your 401K/IRA and Crypto to maximize tax savings. For IRA, I'd go 100% SP500 ETV. And just DCA for the long term and be consistent.

Despite a recent 5% dip, traders like The Moon Show and Bluntz predict a significant price breakout if Dogecoin breaks its three-week accumulation phase, with targets of $0.6350 and potentially $1. Bro, I am selling an ENTIRE BIT COIN, how is that minor? If I buy at 77,1 and sell at 79,5, how is that minor? The likelyhood of it dropping back to 75, 76, or even 77 is far more likely than it going to 80, 81, 82. But, this is the game we play. Its speculation at best, but please, dont call my 10k weeks minor returns. I sit my ass in front of my PC for 12 hours a day with a BTC ticker to make sure I know when to buy and sell.. The agreement allows FTX to withdraw $175 million in digital assets from Bybit and sell $53 million in BIT tokens. It enables defendants to hold creditor claims for 75% of their account balances, reducing potential claims against FTX. I learned about it in 2010 when it was sub$1. Then I heard about it again in 2011 after the fall from $32, when it was around $9. I discovered it again in 2013 right after the fall from $255, when it was $83. I hesitated for a while and bought some at $100. I sold them at $110. I then thought I knew what I was doing and bought 100 BTC at around $250 in October 2013, before the climb to $1,242 (Gox price). I sold them all at $1,000 each on the first China ban. It dropped. I congratulated myself, without realizing that I had realized a MASSIVE capital gain in tax year 2013 I'd have to pay nasty short-term capital gains taxes on, at ordinary income rates. Then after January 1, 2014, it started to go back up! Expecting more moon, I rebought them all at $1,000, and watched the bottom very slow, very gradually, very painfully fall out. I held them all the way past the $152 bottom and then (barely) back up to $220, where I sold them again in 2015. Because the capital loss was in a different tax year than the original capital gain, for which I already owed and paid taxes, I could only deduct $3k of it. I ended up losing $5,000 on my 100 BTC and paying another $30,000 in capital gains taxes to my relevant tax authorities. This history I just described is EVERY BIT as likely as what you would like to *think* you would have done in 2014 had you only had the cajones to act on your hunch that Bitcoin might get big. So, don't beat yourself up. The very bias that prevents us from acting in ways that might pay off big, also prevents us from acting in ways that stupidly cost us.

UPDATE 1: My miner has been offline for 4 months already. I was told my miner would be sent for repair at once when my miner stopped hashing, then I was told they misplaced my miner and it never left Ontario facility, it was just gathering dust for 2 months. Then they tell me the miner will stay in Ontario and a repair technician would repair it in 2-3 weeks. It was not repaired. Now they are telling me my miner is being repaired right now, but somehow cannot give an estimate when it will be done repairing. THEY HAVE NOT CHANGED ONE BIT!! ORIGINAL REVIEW: Compass Mining is borderline a scam. They do as they wish with your miners. Your miners will mine when they want them to mine. They do not answer any tickets. Compass customer service decided to change my miner name. I told him not to touch my miner not to change anything or my mi er would stop mining. He disregarded everything I said and did exactly what I told him not to do. Now my miner is offline he closed the ticket without even realizing that when he changes the name the miner stopped mining. They do not care about you after you buy the miner from them. Once they receive your money you no longer matter. All they are going to do is send emails for half of the month telling you to pay you fees while your miner has been offline for the past 2 months. They do not answer tickets. If they do its weeks later and don’t even help in any way. I had no problems with the deployment’s of my 2 miners, they were fast with that. But it's no use when the miner is mostly offline. They tell you they will give you 95% uptime. That is a lie. I am desperate to sell those miners right now. I want nothing to do with [comoassmining.io](http://comoassmining.io) don't wast your money, host somewhere else. I will be selling my two miners with compass and buy them elsewhere. Never ever in your life consider compassmining, you will regret it horribly.

They are working on a quantom algorithmic block chain as well speak. The size of the already impossibly huge equations will extrapolate on a quantom level! I.E.. an insane number of simultaneously generated, exponentially more complex, equations will be infinitely branching of the block chain, In a unified "quantom entangled algorithm " only limited my the the technology at said time. (Meaning the "infinite multiplying of algorithmic layers" is only limited by the power of the most advanced quantom computer at that time. So the limiting factors would he number of cubits and at what temperature is achievable closes to 0 Kelvin. Along with exotic new materials being suspended in pace time for longer durations of time. Before they jump out of existence. And all that kinda magical quantom shit! Lol) I love physics. But I don't claim to understand it per say.. so that's just a rudimentary derelict Fram of reference. Sorry if I just completely shit the bed on that one. I invite the smarter people to correct me of that's the case. But to my knowledge. Even a quantom computer is limited by current technology. Thus , we will have a maximum amount of problem solving "speed" that speed, for example.. takes currently around 2 hours to work backwards through a block chain algorithmic sequence. Which would take the most powerful moder "regular" smart computer something in the ball park or 10 years running nonstop to arrive at the same answer. Tahts the power of quantom computing! That's the power of simultaneously running an incredible number of possible solutions. All at once. Which is archived by reading the super position of a particular or some shit... Super position is a mystical state of existence in which all possible outcomes exist at once . Can you not refer to BTC /Bitcoin as BIT? BIT is something entirely different, depending on context, but no matter what the context it is never Bitcoin.

Why not just get on the LTC (Litecoin train)? CFTC just announced it only considers BIT, LTC and ETH as commodity class crypto, during the Kucoin exchange lawsuit. Investors are seeking alternatives to the already priced out levels of BTC. LTC only has a market cap of 9 billion.

It will more trade BIT/USD on exchanges to view, so 1 BIT = 1 USD when 1 BTC per $1M... 1 BIT equals 0.065 USD now. Exciting!

I took profits and holding USDC until things bottom out. Then I’ll buy more. Who tf knows when that’ll happen. I’m mostly in ETH and alts, so those won’t even begin to swing upwards until BIT moves up. But, I agree with the sentiment that we are in store for a major bullrun.

This is the spot where I'm in the dark. Can you explain how you move it from your cold storage wallet, the fastest and least expensive way? Once I understand this better, I'll them move mine to CS. Does it matter if I put 10 BIT in CS all at once vs 1 BIT at a time? Meanie g are there additional costs later or any restrictions on how much I can/should take out?

"yOu Do ReAlIse CDC AcTualLy HaS thEir shIt iN ORder WIth Rgulation" XDDDD Crypto.com is so blatant about shaving customer funds that you can literally bait it with 100% replication success.   The only reason you are so oblivious about this is because you have no money... and yeah, binance is A LITTLE BIT better than western scamchanges. Pls go fill in all the KYC documents on crypto.com and then add 20k to ur balance, trade some, withdraw some, add some activity to ur account and watch how after a month or 2 you get random locks on ur funds for "suspicious activity" or how you can't withdraw because "you didn't provide the right KYC docs" or do a leverage trade and watch how suddenly the "flash close" button is disabled and you can't quit a losing trade even though you never touched the settings. These exchanges also work in tandem with shitcoin creators and plan out the listing in a way so they can dump your coins after the listing hype is over. The list of ways how you can get scammed by a CEX is so big that it's impossible to regulate it properly. The only way to have a legit exchange is if the owners goals aren't morally corrupt because regulation sure as fuck wont help the customer, it'll only help the exchange make the shaves and scams less obvious.   There is simply no way you can offer 100x leverage to the whole world and offer investments to scam shitcoins and call it a legit exchange that is regulated properly. In the Netherlands there is an exchange called Bitvavo and as a normal customer, you can't buy leverage, no etfs no nothing you can only buy SPOT and only like 50 coins max, THAT is properly regulated.   There is a very very very good reason why these CEX' have 0-2 stars out of 5 on Trustpilot. The few good reviews come from people with 100-1000 eur accounts that are not worth to shave from. A good chunk of the bad reviews come from people who lost tens of thousands because crypto.com scammed them in one way or another. The rest of the bad reviews are fake lawyer/accountant scammers that try to prey on the people that lost money to the exchange.

I want nothing to do with comoassmining.io don't wast your money, host somewhere else. I will be selling my two miners with compass and buy them elsewhere. Never ever in your life consider compassmining, you will regret it horribly.

> I'm about to sell BIT shares back at some profit. I don't know where the broker will get the money to pay me but I guess it just materializes out of nowhere lol. No, it doesn't. Money comes from another trader who buys my shares. Of course does this money come from another trader. But that does not mean that you are selling your shares to that other trader. You are selling to your broker. Who will then sell to the other trader. > But I am correct and you don't seem to know how things work. It will hit ya when you realize it. In the meantime I'm out. Adding an IMPORTANT BIT to Coinbase: go into your account and turn on whitelists. This will prevent anyone from quickly moving your funds or coins out of your account IF your Coinbase info is compromised. It puts a couple day delay on adding new addresses/ wallets to the white list and also sends you a few messages as a heads up BEFORE anything can happen. This is also great if you have a wallet outside of coinbase, including hard wallet. You don't have to worry AS MUCH of transposing or inputting the wrong address when transferring. It won't go through to a non-whitelisted destination. Just quadruple check that you entered it correctly when register it with the whitelist.

The integration of BitGo's Go Network with Copper's ClearLoop system will provide access to exchanges like Bybit, OKX, Powertrade, Bitget, Gate.io, Deribit, BIT, Bitfinex, and Bitstamp.
