Depends on the company. I'm holding LDOS and planning on holding as long the company still continues to perform well. I also own some other defense names, but they are more equipment based than stuff like LDOS/CACI/

That sucks. I'm red overall, but at least have a few winners, but all earnings report related: $LDOS is doing well from their report this morning. $KKR is probably up because of $APO report. $STRL is up from their report yesterday. $SMID is probably up from $GLDD's report. $SHGC is up from their report. Also have some big losers too: $UBER, $RKLB, $SHLS, $PRIM are all down over 5%.

Some solid returns on these companies that got hit hard because of DOGE.  I think LDOS and CACI are now like up over 30% YTD.  One of the easier calls of this year was buying into that fear.

I’ll try to actually answer your question. Typically in the past, the market hadn’t been affected unless it lasts over three days which this could. I bought VIX calls yesterday and I bought 10 GLD 350C 10/3. I trimmed half so I am on the houses money. IWM and tech could be vulnerable due to the administrations support for them and how their fingers are in so many pies from AI to chips to crypto. Then their are the news effected tickers. Services short (BAH/SAIC/CACI/LDOS/MMS): (headline-sensitive). But simply VIX and GLD but know, MM’s are already priced in.

r/wallstreetbetsSee Comment

Fuck, I need a ticker ….. Usual suspects are all overpriced so hard to make a single bet : BAH, LDOS, CACI, NVDA, PLTR, etc.

Is this a sign to buy GD, LMT, NOC, RTX, LDOS & SAIC?

r/investingSee Comment

$LMT, $RTX, $NOC, $LDOS, Maybe $SAIC I'm currently a fan of the leveraged ETF $DFEN, I only see defense spending increase as it always have, and while Palantir is well positioned, their valuation is too ludacris. Russia's economic situation seems to suggest it won't stop at Ukraine, China has been eyeing Taiwan, I imagine since the strikes on Iran that won't be the last we hear from them, United States seems to be isolating itself more and more and losing the good will of allies internationally, suggesting a stronger reliance on hard power instead of soft power. international defense companies are a good bet too IMO. And if we don't engineer ourselves out of the climate crisis, resource scarcity is likely to cause more tension. That's reason alone for me, but if you're really looking for that X-factor to beat the market: [https://x.com/UFOB\_/status/1746144076385132829?t=jvX54tjV1HaKtRkUEIMLgw&s=19](https://x.com/UFOB_/status/1746144076385132829?t=jvX54tjV1HaKtRkUEIMLgw&s=19) [https://www.askapoluaps.com/p/exclusive-nancy-mace-says-on-contractors](https://www.askapoluaps.com/p/exclusive-nancy-mace-says-on-contractors) [https://www.democrats.senate.gov/newsroom/press-releases/majority-leader-schumer-and-republican-senator-mike-rounds-floor-colloquy-on-unidentified-anomalous-phenomena-provisions-in-the-ndaa-and-future-legislation-on-uaps](https://www.democrats.senate.gov/newsroom/press-releases/majority-leader-schumer-and-republican-senator-mike-rounds-floor-colloquy-on-unidentified-anomalous-phenomena-provisions-in-the-ndaa-and-future-legislation-on-uaps)

Of course. Always do your DD before buying anything. I'm a big fan of finding like under the radar names. Here's the latest investor presentation. CLMB might be in that niche for you. They are more consulting business, but they offer things like modernization for companies. LDOS is kind of the same thing, but more on a government contract level. CACI just reported, same kind of concept. Not cheapest name, but DOCS is another software name for the medical space. More of hardware play, but PSTG is interesting at these levels. CLS is a hardware play on data centers, but not bad at these levels in terms of fundamentals and what you're getting at the price.

[http://openinsider.com/SAIC](http://openinsider.com/SAIC) I wouldn't buy at these levels, but KRMN been on a nice little run this they started trading a few months ago. Really expensive based off next years numbers, but they are a really interesting company. Way too expensive for my taste. Still find the IT names interesting too, like CACI, LDOS, and PSN. PSN is starting to look somewhat interesting at these levels, depending on how you feel about the government cuts vs the fact they are trying to pass 1T defense budget. The Telsa/PLTR thing kind of makes sense, sine it's probably related to rumor of Musk going away from government. Like AMTM, CACI, KBR, KTOS, LDOS are all having great days, which are all kind of government IT related stocks.

r/stocksSee Comment

I used stocktwits as my watchlist. CACI is up like 6%, KBR, is up like 4% and LDOS is like 3.7%. All solid numbers.

r/stocksSee Comment

Side note, great day for AMTM, CACI, KBR, LDOS.

r/stocksSee Comment

Yeah, I remember I found out about CACI from you, so totally trust your viewpoint on that. AMTM is also a spin off of Jacobs, so it's probably got deep connections in their space. I also like AMTM. One thing about when I invest in a company, I have to actually like the company and business. I also like LDOS a lot because they get NASA contracts and I'm a big fan of space. What is interesting too, is a few names have been trying to diversify away from some government work. Like KBR, is winning some LNG contracts. I saw some note around some of the companies are looking at like 2-4% hits from DOGE, which isn't too crazy, but the valuations have really come down in some of the names.

r/stocksSee Comment

True, but AMTM just spun off and it's harder to kind of see the business as much as SAIC. AMTM had just one inside buyer vs a ton of insider buying from like the past year almost. SAIC also is buying back a fair amount of stock with an already low float. They took out like 6% YoY with only 47M on the whole float. Biggest knock on the company is just not a ton of growth. I think they are looking at like 3% this year and 5% next year. Also, the Return on invested capital has really took a hit for a while: [https://quickfs.net/company/SAIC:US](https://quickfs.net/company/SAIC:US) I think a lot of names in the defense IT sector are pretty interesting if you want to take the contrarian view. Stuff like LDOS, CACI, KBR all look like tempting valuations, just hated by the market.

The big boy government contractors LDOS, LMT, NOC, UNH, etc all have multiple contracts across many different business segments. The ones you want are the ones that have VA contracts the veteran population is always rising and a mass amount have claimed benefits due to the PACT ACT. Yeah AMTM spun off from J. Kind of the same idea of some of the more recent ones, where they are trying to make the businesses more simple.  Seems like there isn’t any bottom for some of these names. Like LDOS, CACI, and AMTM. Of the bunch, LDOS and AMTM have kind of caught my eye in terms of what I want to hold.  Honestly with a ton of names I follow on my watchlist, not a ton of stuff is really working out well. Even CLMB had an amazing quarter and will probably sell off any gains this week.  There is an interesting company, I came across the other day. Can’t name them here, but trying to figure out their deal. Like they haptic feedback stuff, but bought like 42% of Barnes and Nobles online education company when it went bankrupt a few months ago. The company is now seeing insane growth, but no idea how to valuate it or how sustainable that is.

r/stocksSee Comment

Just stumbled on this company and researching it... Reference LDOS and BAH, at this point I don't think they deserve the same multiple. BAH seems to have much better contracts with more guaranteed money. That said, I do think that AMTM can be close to a CACI and other second tier names. Plus, I'm really impressed by the spectrum of their business. Space, drones, nuclear.... there's a lot of potential here. Did you end up buying?

r/stocksSee Comment

Lol. Was talking about this the other day, that the market is giving a lot of credit to the Theil/Vance connection with PLTR. Like almost every IT defense name has been dumping since November, like you can look at the chart of LDOS, CACI, PSN and see they all fall almost the exact date and are like 30-40% off their highs.

r/stocksSee Comment

Thanks a lot for these descriptions! I opened a position in DRS ahead of earnings tomorrow, and about to open one in LDOS. CTLP is very interesting! I watched the WSJ video. It's funny how many everyday objects you can skip over thinking about as potential investment opportunities. My insurance exposure so far has been limited to KNSL which I've held for quite a while. I'm going to look into PLMR and NMIH now! I added a small amount to some of the electrical names (IESC, POWL, FIX) today amid these large drops. If I'm going to keep holding I figured I might as well dip a little money into the drop. I thought [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/AskReddit/comments/1i89it6/comment/m8rxpa4/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) conversation was enlightening on new grid developments. Never heard of Wartsila before. Regarding shipbuilding, I'm late to see this but Hanwha popped big on the Korean markets. Looks like they've won some Korean navy contracts. [https://www.reddit.com/r/CredibleDefense/comments/1hj9dci/comment/m36s42b/](https://www.reddit.com/r/CredibleDefense/comments/1hj9dci/comment/m36s42b/) I wonder if they'll partner up with Japan further and get more contracts (amid Japan's rearmament)

r/stocksSee Comment

Exactly, it's just an odd thing. Haven't looked at PLTR's number in a minute but I'm assuming they still do way more government contracts than commercial. Also, things like LDOS/CACI are more value add in terms of modernizing some of the government IT.

r/stocksSee Comment

Also kind it kind of odd how PLTR is someone viewed as like the winner of the DOGE stuff as well. Like CACI/LDOS both put out solid earnings, just one of those things where I think market forces lose nuance, which I point out in the semis. Like you know about how bad the auto/industrial market is there, but it's really not talked about as much as the AI/high computer and most people just associate chips with that.

r/stocksSee Comment

Key word is "unlikely" right now, considered that there isn't really any nuance with DOGE. Like they fired a bunch of people in National Nuclear Security Administration only to scramble to try to hire them back. I do like AMTM long term, same with like LDOS/CACI, but will be interesting to see if AMTM can hold onto the gains in the upcoming weeks.

r/stocksSee Comment

Just a call out, a few other names in the space like CACI has been crushed since November. LDOS is now down like 35% since it's November high, which the same for PSN. They all fell on like November 12 of last year. I do think it's overdone, but there is going to be nothing but really negative sentiment to some of these names with DOGE still ongoing.

r/stocksSee Comment

I ended up opening a position in LDOS, mainly because they won a NASA contract.  SRAD and CTLP are really interesting. SRAD is growing a lot, but has a pretty high valuation. Major League Baseball actually just signed an exclusive contact with them and bought a stake in the company. It’s how I’m playing the sports betting grow.  CTLP does like kiosk ordering software. Also growing their EPS a lot. Kind of sports related as well, since they partner with some stadiums to do the cashier less kiosks. I watched a WSJ video on the saints stadium and how it’s designed to increase revenue. They called out those kiosks as a big driver.  PLMR opened a positions day in earnings and got lucky with that pop. Really cheap fundamentals. They do speciality insurance. Just wanted more diversity in the portfolio.  HRMY and CORT are biotech. Also same idea with the diversity. Both have a good pipeline and seeing a lot of growth. Fundamentals look good as well.

r/stocksSee Comment

Yeah part of why I'm ok being a contrarian here might pay off, is that companies like CACI and LDOS actually help modernize the government, so it does seem like the contracts they have aren't ones that maybe DOGE will go after? Either way, there is probably going to be negative sentient in the space for the short to mid term. I think DOGE is at the IRS and will probably go to the Pentagon in the near future.

Mentions:#LDOS#DRS
r/stocksSee Comment

I think it could just be how the indexed are weighted. When you are buying the SP500 now, it's extremely top heavy in tech. APPL, NVDA, MSFT, AMZN, META, AVGO, GOOGL make up about 30% of the weight of the index. Macro factors of what you are listing really haven't impacted some or any of these companies. Under the hood, you are talking individual stocks, they have been impacted. For example, stuff that deal with government/defense spending have reflected some of what you are saying. LDOS, PSN, CACI are down like 30-40% since November.

r/stocksSee Comment

Not sure if it will happen, but I'm sure the fear of DOGE is still there regardless. Some of the names that do more like IT with defensive have been crush, like LDOS, PSN, CACI. Part of the reason why I like DRS, is they have exposure to naval power systems, which is one component of the military that is really needed. US is really lagging behind China in terms of ship building.

CACI, LDOS and BAH finding new ways to keep drilling. Down 30+% in the last 3 months because of Daddy Trump and DOGE

r/stocksSee Comment

It's crazy seeing some names just going down, like LDOS, PSN, and CACI. I get it, but DOGE is like deep seek moment for defense names.

r/stocksSee Comment

Still so conflicted on some of the defense names like PSN, CACI, and LDOS. Fundamentals are solid, just seems like they might be dead money because of DOGE.  Wonder if this is a case of buying into the fear.

r/stocksSee Comment

There’s been some solid earnings in the aerospace sector. Actually been buying some names in the space.  Yeah I find CACI, PSN, LDOS interesting. Just wonder how much the negative sentiment will keep pushing them.

r/stocksSee Comment

I think Trump will be bullish for defense contractors despite the disruption Elon is pushing that ostensibly should benefit Spacex, Palantir, and Anduril. The main co,pany that hasn't really taken off into its market segement is Anduril, so I think it'll impact mainly aerospace and companies supporting platforms that are ripe for drone tech, like destroyers, subs, and jets. That's boeing, northrup grumman, lockheed, general dynamics, raytheon, and huntington ingalls. I think cyber/electronic warfare contractors will still be in a good position and may even benefit form the lower barriers for defense contractors DOGE will push PANW, CRWD, LDOS, LHX

r/stocksSee Comment

LDOS is selling off, even with a solid report. Some of these defense names are tempting, but probably going to have negative sentiment with DOGE.

CACI earnings basically kickstarted led to all the Fed IT vendors taking a beating the last few weeks. Went all in on that one and got burnt. CACI beat Wall Street expectations and even raised its guidance…but stock price dumped because of a seasonal drop in bookings (that other vendors had warned about over the summer) because everyone’s terrified about DOGE. I actually like LDOS, BAH and CACI long term but am now staying away from them…at least until Trump’s budget is proposed. GPT: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is increasingly integrating artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance air traffic management and flight path optimization. This shift presents potential investment opportunities in companies contributing to these advancements. Companies Developing AI Systems for the FAA: 1. Honeywell International Inc. (HON): Honeywell has expanded its partnership with NXP Semiconductors to develop AI-driven aviation technology, focusing on autonomous flight systems. Their cloud-connected Anthem avionics system aims to improve flight planning and management. 2. BigBear.ai Holdings, Inc. (BBAI): BigBear.ai, an AI software provider, has been named a subcontractor in a $2.4 billion FAA contract. The company will assist in managing and supporting information systems nationwide, enhancing administrative, financial, and security programs critical to operational and facility management. 3. Leidos Holdings, Inc. (LDOS): Leidos provides trajectory-based operations through systems like SkyLineFlow and the FAA’s Time-Based Flow Management System (TBFM), offering time-based capabilities to manage air traffic efficiently. Investment Considerations: • Call Options: Investors anticipating growth in these companies due to increased FAA contracts and advancements in AI-driven aviation technology might consider call options to capitalize on potential stock appreciation. • Put Options on Airline Stocks: The implementation of new AI systems could lead to temporary disruptions or adjustments in flight operations. Investors concerned about potential negative impacts on airlines’ operational efficiency during the transition may consider put options on airline stocks to hedge against possible declines. Risk Assessment: While AI integration aims to enhance flight safety and efficiency, the transition period may present challenges. Investors should monitor developments closely, considering both the potential benefits for technology providers and the short-term risks for airlines during the implementation phase. I don’t have LMT, but I have LDOS. it’s my 2nd biggest paper loss stock in my 8 month account. I don’t think it’s time to sell defense government contracts stocks, including LMT L3H LDOS RTX etc. they are under the short term volatility created by DOGE. I don’t think there’s too much ELON can do about defense contracts, but certainly i’m not adding any right now. hold it.

I'm there with you. There is a lot of good growth in the aerospace components. Like ATI announced the other day, they do a lot of business in that space. They saw 10% YoY growth. Also think there is going to have to be a good spend at some point in the naval space, since the US is behind in terms of ship building. It's kind of a contrarian play, but some of the defense names that deal with more software side of things, like CACI, LDOS, PSN, are all down pretty big with DOGE fear.

Curious to see some people's thought around some of the defense contracting names that work more in the information services spaces. Seems like some are selling off because of DOGE, but look to have solid valuations at this point. Stuff like CACI, PSN, LDOS. Just curious people think it might pay off to be contrarian here
