MP priced at 40 times sales. They have no earnings.
Wait I’m curious but not informed here, why would MP and LYSDY moon if China weaponizes rare earth exports? Any particular reason why they would moon and not CCJ or CEG for that matter?
There is zero telling when utilities will be pushed to start contracting again - but likely it’s either this year till 2030, but it’s happening. It will make many millionaires. If you look at 07’ look at how much it fell and then retraced up. It may fall back to $11 or it will continue up after it was already compressed. I’d just jump in. The first time I got in (before selling and taking a break to buy an apartment) I lost money for first 6 months then it went mental (due to supply issue). This is now a demand problem so yes it will go f’n nuts. Just hold on and enjoy the ride. UUUU CCJ LEU - only refiner and processor. Will go ballistic. And for other major rare earths coverage— Neodynium (similar situation to uranium): MP Lynas UUUU (also a rare earths play - why it’s my fave stock)
RE UUUU - it’s a double play. It’s a uranium and rare earths play with one of the only operating uranium minds. Like MP, I assume the fed will give it special designation. Whether it does it not - doesn’t really matter. Just love the business.
This is solid DD but you're banking on geopolitics staying spicy which... yeah probably a safe bet lol CCJ has been my ride or die for a while now, that Cigar Lake production is chef's kiss. UUUU is interesting but they're still more of a rare earth play than pure uranium imo One thing though - if China decides to actually weaponize rare earth exports like they did in 2010 with Japan, MP and LYSDY could absolutely moon. But that's also when things get really messy geopolitically Your timeline seems reasonable but 2026-2028 feels optimistic for the real fireworks. Supply chains are sticky and governments move slow even when they're panicking Position or ban though - let's see those holdings 📸
Oh, I was just kidding. Thought this was WSB. I’ve been in nuclear and mining / lithium stocks for years now and am up big time. UUUU, MP, NEM, USAR, MP just to name a few.

Earlier this year it was +400%. Being +190% ($15.25) at EoY leaves me feeling comfortable about picking it up. MP Materials (MP) was +466% earlier this year and is sitting at +227% ($51.93) I like both, but I'm still a novice investor so ymmv.
Metroid Prime 4 was a let down, I said it. It started going down with MP 2. They should've let you play as Dark Samus in Metroid Prime 2 in the light levels, regular Samus in the dark levels. Just imagine how the present would look.
I've had my eye on UUUU, USAR, MP and SMR recently. Once I have some liquidity I think I'm going to dip my toes into that area.
MP and similar going to rip on renewed tensions and export curbs. Save this commend.
Some of those holdings are smaller than others though and mostly serve as "tracker positions." My position size in UAMY, UURAF, TUNGF, MP, NB, LYSDY, USAR, and ALM are more substantial than the rest I listed. And there are a few other names I'm interested in, but am waiting for their prices to pull back to a more attractive entry point
MP is the play of 2026, though the other rare earths will rip too. MP is the giant in the industry and will produce outsized returns. Micro is dead; giant miners are in.
Sounds like MP. I have a small position in it regardless of its valuation. It can spike up at any China dispute

I think the lens here is short-sighted. You're viewing this as FPV drones, when the use of drones covers a range of things. Not to say you are wrong, but I hold a different view. Drones in the military context for example can be used for MP purposes, IO/PSYOP etc.

MP about to pump for 36 h straight
Because MP has a juicy contract and Lynas does not. I do have shares of Lynas though, I like it as an aussie play.
Why not Lynas Rare Earths (LYC)? It’s pretty much better in all metrics than MP. The only thing really going for MP is it now has govt backing. Let’s see what happens in the coming months for background support for Lynas (Japan, EU, Australia.)
No I think this is false. I hold Meteoric resources and I follow be space in general, so I don't necessarily have a dog in this MP argument, but concerning rare earths demand in general I think it will go up. There are a few different kinds of rare earths, used for different things, but speaking generally as a group they have a big use in military applications, but also things like cell phones, computers, EVs, wind turbines, medical devices, all kinds of stuff. 1) a ton of the planet doesn't have cell phones or medical devices, and they are industrializing rapidly. 2) China has been tariffing and un-tariffing it's rare earth exports to the United States because they are used in our sick fighter jets and missiles, which we then turn around and point and China when they do their bullshit in the South China sea and Taiwan, or when we use these missiles to threaten their semi-ally Russia over Ukraine. So essentially we have guns and China is like "oh yeah well we're gonna cut off the supply of bullets", in order to try and neuter our foreign policy. 2-b) China refines rare earths, like 97% of the rare earths on the globe. As the previous commenter said they outcompete everyone. This is also partially to try and neuter our foreign policy. Any time a company in the west tries to build out the infrastructure necessary so that we can refine our own rare earths in the west, China floods the market, lowers the price, and bankrupts that operation. And then later they can raise the price again or cut us off when we start playing world police again. So basically the administration now is like "ok we gotta subsidize this shit at home cause it's a national security issue", the same way we subsidize agriculture, because you don't want to depend on a potentially hostile power in order to eat if they choose not to export your bread one day. 3) have you noticed there's a lot more wars going on? Personally I don't think it's just Trump tweeting all angry. I mean this Ukraine shit started becoming an issue even in the mid 2010s, China exerting more power in its backyard, Europe is re-arming, turkey/Israel/Iran is also looking like a powder keg. And like in Europe's case they're suddenly building more tanks and missiles because of Russia, well EVERYONE I just mentioned who isn't an ally of China is also doing some version of my points 2 and 2-b above. And they don't necessarily want to build tanks to protect themselves ONLY for conflicts that China permits. So they are sick of playing games and are rapidly trying to find ways to onshore these processes. It took China like 30 years to build the infrastructure to completely monopolize the rare earths industry though, so this won't happen overnight. But countries are waking up to the fact that it's a national security risk not to have some of these processes onshore or at least friendshored. There will probably be fits and starts where China exports and then cuts off exports for at least a few years while these industries start up. And also china probably doesn't want to just turn off it's giant industry. But it also doesn't want us threatening them over Taiwan! SO! The bear case for these companies is basically "maybe China begins to export freely all the time again and peace breaks out!" I.e. they start sending us the bullets for our gun again so we can tell them what to do in the South China sea. Personally I think China is way too hellbent on asserting itself throughout its region and others to allow that. While it might seem like these companies can only exist while subsidized. It's actually more like we're reverting to true price once we ween ourselves off China.
I understand the contract, gov will buy what they produce. But if they only sell to the dod, how large is the their market. That is my concern MP will always profit which I agree but the profit is capped by DOD demand (which is not unlimited)
UUUU is a great company too, processes both light and heavy REEs and also processes uranium. Biggest downside is it has no juicy contracts like MP. USAR is an interesting company, but a more speculative play than MP or UUUU.
I did address it. It isn't capped because it includes a price floor which means MP will always profit, and will profit more as it ramps up production. All your doubts would've been answered if you bothered to inform yourself and read what these contracts are about.
I am not. MP has lots of contracts already. One of these include a price floor for their whole magnet and ndpr output, also they have guaranteed EBITDA over production. Which means they are guaranteed to profit the more they produce.
SOFI, ASTS, RKLB, MP Most SPACs are junk tho
Then why would anyone buy MP? Feels like you're contradicting yourself
my problem with MP is that, it cant compete on the international stage, it is just protected but the DOD contract. Realistically how high is its ceiling?
Issue isn't really season, the sector is suffering because the US government isn't really giving as many contracts and financing opportunities the market expected. Only MP got a great contract and that was in July. Since then no company got anything like what MP got.
MP Materials. Once it's profitting from its rare earths business everybody will flock to buy it
Your math is solid regarding the carry cost (interest neutralization), but structurally, you are putting yourself in handcuffs for 13 months on a high-beta asset. By selling Jan '27 LEAPS, you are selling almost zero Theta (time decay) for the first 6-9 months. You are purely shorting Vega and Delta. If MP chops sideways or grinds up slowly, that option pricing will be sticky. You won't be able to close it early for a meaningful profit to free up capital. You are effectively turning a strategic commodity play into a fixed-income bond. Instead of locking in for 400+ days, consider selling shorter duration (45-60 DTE) calls against the position. Your plan works to save margin interest, but it effectively removes you from the game. If you are okay with a max gain of \~30% and zero optionality for a year, do it. But if you want to actually participate in a recovery, sell shorter dates or buy a cheap OTM call (e.g., Jan '27 $90) with a fraction of your credit to uncapp the upside in case of a buyout.
Imagine if all this never happened. Imagine if instead, someone knocked on your door and said ‘here, a distant relative left you 2500 shares of MP on margin’. What would you do with them?
I wouldn’t do LEAPS as a covered call. Earnings is coming up in Feb. If they report well you could exit during the run up. I would do a January 2026 covered call, and then look at premiums at $61 for weeklies for Jan 23, 30, and Feb 6 and maybe you can earn a little more to drop your cost basis below $55 a share. Unless you want to keep MP long term and want to use calls to continue to lower your cost basis, of course. Selling a LEAP doesn’t buy you anything. I wouldn’t get caught looking at big premiums and getting trapped. Slow and steady to reduce cost basis or look to exit before earnings.
From a technical pov MP looks cooked.
That’s a lot of money throwing around to repair especially a $16,000 loss. MP looks like it will go back to $60 soon. If it costs you $20 a day for interest, wouldn’t it make sense to wait a few days just to see what’s it’s going to do? If it recovers near 60, at that point, if you really want to sell OTM calls, at least your premium would be way higher than today. But why are you married to MP? Many opportunities out there. I’ve loss tons of trades just to “repair “ my initial trade right away when the initial trade went sour. 9/10 times I would be wrong on both - trying to fix something right away is completely based on emotion and bias and hence most if not all it’s a lose lose proposition.
Apple has crushed it on being the second mouse that gets the cheese. Desktops, laptops, MP3 players, phones and tablets, they waited for others to pay to develop the tech then focused on execution.
A few weeks ago I made a very deliberate decision to buy MP at $60 instead of SLV at $45 because everyone was saying gold and silver peaked.... FML

Rare earths aren't rare, processing is. There was also the bubble in 2011ish - the REMX etf is still about 80% from the all time high. MP is still up 232% YTD.

House of Commons calls on Keir Starmer to condemn Donald Trump’s ‘interference’ in European politics The US is engaging in “extreme rightwing tropes” with echoes of the 1930s and threatening “chilling” interference in European democracies, British MPs warned ministers on Thursday. The House of Commons rounded on Donald Trump’s national security strategy, which stated that Europe was facing “civilisational erasure” and vowed to help the continent “correct its current trajectory and promote patriotic European parties”. Matt Western, a Labour MP and chair of parliament’s joint committee on the UK government’s national security strategy, said: “The United States consensus that has led the western world since the second world war appears shattered. “The prospect of United States interference in the democratic politics of Europe, I believe, is chilling … The absence of condemnation for Russia is extraordinary, though not surprising.” He said the US pivot left the UK “especially vulnerable”. Liam Byrne, another Labour MP and chair of the business select committee, said it was “not hard to see the rhymes with some extreme rightwing tropes which date back to the 1930s” and called for closer defence cooperation with Europe. Keir Starmer and his ministers have been cautious not to criticise Trump and have sought to play down the implications of the strategy document. Seema Malhotra, a Foreign Office minister, insisted repeatedly on Thursday that the US “remains a strong, reliable and vital ally for the UK” and that ministers agreed with some aspects of the strategy, “like the importance of sustaining freedom and security”. She told the Commons that the UK government did “take a different view” than the US “on some areas”, including on European strength and the value of multiculturalism. “What we see is a strong Europe coming together to defend Ukraine with the UK helping to lead the coalition of the willing of more than 30 countries,” she said, adding that European countries were “stepping up on defence spending”. Bobby Dean, a Liberal Democrat MP, said the strategy was “a document rooted in racist, white supremacist ideology and it should be called out accordingly”, arguing that “mild disagreement will not cut it”. Invited by Dean to condemn the strategy’s language, Malhotra said she did not agree with its narrative of civilisational erasure. “I’m proud of our country. I know that migration is an essential element of Britain’s national story,” she said. “We are a thriving multicultural society and I’m proud of that, and we will stand up for our values in the UK and across the world.” James MacCleary, another Liberal Democrat MP, said the strategy presented a “bleak and dystopian vision of the world”, which prioritised “interference in European democratic processes to promote a specific ideology and worldview”. Mike Wood, a shadow Cabinet Office minister, said the strategy “makes it even more important that the UK remains a cornerstone of European and global defence”. Malhotra repeatedly insisted it was for the US to set its own strategy and that “friends and allies respect each other’s choices and traditions”. The US strategy, which was published last Friday, called for an end to mass migration and criticised European policies on the issue for “creating strife”. It said European countries were mired in “censorship of free speech” and “loss of national identities and self-confidence”. “It is far from obvious whether certain European countries will have economies and militaries strong enough to remain reliable allies,” the document said. The Russian government welcomed the document, calling it “largely consistent” with its vision. Trump continued to attack European leaders in an interview this week, accusing them of failing to control immigration, and suggested that European countries would “not be viable countries any longer” without changes to their border policy. “I think they’re weak, but I also think that they want to be so politically correct … I think they don’t know what to do,” he told the Politico podcast The Conversation.
Buying LAC and MP ahead of eventual rare earth metal restrictions, using CSP to open when VIX is high, getting a deal and selling mispriced vol.? That's dumb? You're a daft one.
You don't know what quality is clearly. It's staring you right in the face. Buying LAC and MP ahead of eventual rare earth metal restrictions, using CSP to open when VIX is high, getting a deal and selling mispriced vol.? That's not quality? You're a daft one.
I’m in MP calls for this reason
MP V every time it dumps. It’s a free money entry now regards
Kind of a lame Black Friday, actually. My only truly dangerous purchase was a leber V2 to go on my MP5, there goes about 1,000 rounds of 9mm in a weekend.
MP and Lithium Americas (LAC) are the farmers Trump is helping out. Sorry, but that means you should put away your soybean and corn futures plays. One analyst even cheekily stated last week that 2026 would be a "rare year." Sure will be for the rare earths he was alluding to. Do what you want, but not adding rare earths into the end of the year for a 2026 explosion is just stupid.
Load the boat on the leading domestic rare-earth supplier that is also one of the only ones that are vertically integrated with our govt through contracts. MP Everything in the future is ganna need these.
This year’s MP story was Trump, pump and dump. The CEO is some new guy, not an old mining veteran.
Xi is a good friend. Rare material is toxic to environment. MP is done
Believe it or not, I have never ever posted on Reddit before. For some reason I get your feed. You are right about REE in 2026. *DTREF. Dateline Resources. Down the street from Mountain Pass-MP. The only thing is mountain pass doesn’t have any Gold. DTREF has a lot. Current administration has multiple times already called their Colosseum Project the 2nd REE mine in the United States. Their government/private deal is upcoming. Seriously. Company stated they will announce “when permitted to do so“. Gold, Ree, and the only Strotinum mine in the United States. $.18 on OTC/ASX. Up from $.01, down from $.44. Perfect Load. Thank me later. *Again, this is my first and probably only post ever on Reddit. I just saw the above mention from that dude. Just never really use Reddit. This will be one of the leading mining stocks in 2026, for multiple reasons.

YOLO MP 0DTEs? Hope there’s an executive order at 3?
Will MP keep pumping on the government minerals news? Kinda feel like it’s just going to be profit taking on any good news and this play is dead. It’s all just posturing for China. Holding calls like a retard tho
Critical minerals - UUUU or MP. Seems like the cycle is repeating, except this time entry at somewhat more reasonable price than 1-2 months ago
ok RGTI, OKLO, IONQ, MP, BTC, MSTR, ORCL, ASTS, HIMS, NVO bag holder
Look into MP, UUUU, MTRN, UURAF, and LYSDY if you’re interested in the most established REE (rare earth element) production companies with the strongest moats. As for CM (critical mineral) producers in general, there’s a lot to list, but some gems that come to mind are TUNGF, UAMY, USAR, TII, and USAS.
Bruh, why isn’t MP pumping
Did you buy puts in NBIS &MP , that’s a risky strategy
IREN, Mara, UUUU, CLSK, MP, ABAT. A little here and there. UUUU might recover and make me regret, but the others were way off mark. And if we were going to crash, I didn't want to sit on them.
Hmm maybe MP runs to 90 again. Timeframe?
The AI sector is too big to fail, and will be bailed out by the US government. (Look what happened to Intel and MP Materials etc.) The US government might buy a billion Nvidia shares at some point. I agree that LLM's are a dead end, and won't ever lead to "AGI" (whose definition no one agrees on anyway). But when Iliya Sutskever or Yann LeCun (or Demis Hassabis) or whoever creates a proper WORLD model, we'll get real AI. This, of course, won't benefit ordinary people, but it will make the ultrarich very rich indeed. World models, unlike LLMs, actually understand the real world, and can even navigate in it and interact with it. Just imagine a robot army made by Unitree or Boston Dynamics, but equipped with actual intelligence, not just remotely controlled or based on some LLM tech.
been saying it everyday, the market is not going to selloff, just keep riding up and im a bear btw we have some of the worst news like TPUs, AI software, AI stocks credit swaps but the market is not selling off because it just obeys the algorithm of forming a double top in QQQ. moreover those overvalued junk stocks like RGTI, QBTS, MP, BTC, OKLO, ORCL are oversold and due for a bounce before a next leg down. just buy and hold till santa rally then start selling off before the real dump begins in Jan 26
Over the next 5yrs, DOW will outperform NVDA, no doubt. Google stole your lunch Nvidia. (And I'm a big fan of materials [nailed MP from 20 before Gov stake, but sold way early...🫤])
the market has induced so much fear since the 14 oct bear trend that bulls wont buy in, this is precisely the reason why the rally will continue to go to pull them in. in that regard, the market will continue to rally until mid-jan. that's when the double top will form and the next leg down for a market correction trash stocks like OKLO, ORCL, CRWV, BTC, RGTI, RKLB, MP will continue to rally for a dead cat bounce, so buy in and ride short term.

Had to sell some abysmally bad trades this year, but the market was gon bleed regardless right? I'm still holdin onto DVLT, CTM, DFLI (will sell if it ain't $1 before the RS), PSTV n ASST, as far as penny stocks goes. I no longer FOMO. I am also positioned in ONDAS, OPEN, UUU, NUAI n MP. Portfolio is influenced by where the market is heading. Holdin, buying n swingin for the next year or so. Happy trading everyone 🔹 💵 📈
CNVS: $50M market cap and, presumably, releasing Terrifier 4 next year which could gross $100M. Also have some other movies coming out soon like silent night deadly night, return to silent hill, and air bud. FUBO: Seems like an easy one given Disney stake. NLR: Already up big recently - but I like anything similar to this. MP: Seems pretty well protected from failure with long term contracts galore. In the vein of - get in when you can and don't sell for at least 5 years.
