>I also managed to buy the dip just after the April crash and made good money on just about everything. Got Nvidia at $100, GOOGL at $150 and so on. Sold most of it now but still hold GOOGL, META and RR. This was a ballsy move. Honestly, I panicked in that crash and just focused on diversifying and shifted to other markets. I made good money with Defence stocks and DAX. Both of them got good returns. I bought Dax at $370 and sold at $430. Defence stocks are about 30-40% up so far and I'm not selling those for a while. I also got into penny stocks, but only rare earth metals. I managed to by MP Materials (MP) before it blew up at $26 and I'm still holding. I'm also holding another rare earth metals company called Lynas (LYI) from Australia, which is up 36% since I bought it. Liberation Day was a sign of the turmoil that will dominate the US market for a while, so I'm putting about 50% of my portfolio in ETFs covering markets outside the US.
My understanding is that it's all in the parameters you set. $250-$500K weekly expiry is a good indication of a move or $250K plus on LEAPs along with multiple hits. You do need to follow up on OI on a potential trade. A couple examples were a few weeks back there was $4.5M 1DTE on CRWV, it definitely hit. The day before DPRO announced the government contract someone bought $210K of $7.50 01/27 LEAPs. The call flow for MP before the government announcement was crazy, BE was off the charts along with UUUU. IREN has been one of the strongest, I can't remember exactly but it was roughly 2 months ago someone sold $1.3-$1.6M 03/26 $16 PUTs and since then it's just a flurry of calls up to $60.
Threw money into NAK. Rode it up and was hoping it was gonna pass the veto and rocket like TMC and or MP. But instead it shot down under $1 and I sold 3600 shares at a 50% lost. Lmao. Shit was rough. But luckily NVDA been carrying my port. And LEAPS options on HOOD. APLD. And IREN. Have been saving me this year.
ONDS, KTOS, AVAV, RCAT, UUUU, MP, USAR, UURAF, WWR Rock and Drone, to the bone

I had almost forgotten what a green day looked like for MP 📈
My commie port: INTC, Fannie and Freddie, LAC, MP, PFE. Who else is either owned by US or getting special treatment? 🤔
After doing research into several emerging mining/REE companies, I bought DTREF when it was $0.053 a share. While certainly a somewhat risky investment, with all the national security and tech considerations ad well as the irrational tariff policies, I decided to dive in. I have more than 15,000 shares. And I sure am glad of that as all the drilling and modeling results since then have, in my opinion, been very positive. They seem to continue to indicate a resource potential similar to MP’s Mountain Pass project. They are fast-tracking the next round of drilling and will soon have their revised financial projections out. As I recall, the prior financials were done when gold was below $3,000/oz. Gold is up considerably since then. I expect the stock to rise quickly following the release of the updated financials. In the meantime I’ll be buying more. There’s quite a bit of technical information out there if you’re interested. It’s your money - it’s your decision. I know what mine is and not even my wife can change my mind on this one. Best wishes with all your investment decisions.
I am not sure if people realize how big this project is. And yesterday’s news , posted by the company on Twitter. People in MP should be pouring money into this!
This is going to be the same as MP Material rise for weeks
Going to need a LeBron 2016 NBA finals performance to rescue my MP bags
Maybe not, but Intel, MP, X, CRWV, NBIS, the airlines that sold warrants to the US during Covid, and too many other stocks to list here would like a word..... :) What the shorts (who STILL haven't covered yet) haven't figured out yet is that LAC is basically sold out for the next 20 years. At some point they need to move on to bet against other companies.
Just put the fries in the bag, jesus christ MP, not seen a green day in almost a week
“Broadly speaking we have lights and lithium figured out now in terms of government investment. What remains? A battery recycler, a heavy rare earths player, graphite, and a midstream player” -Steve Light rare earths = MP (government 15% stake) Lithium = (5% stake and 5% of the joint venture with GM) So that leaves a battery recycler (DRI), heavy rare earths (NK), graphite (YOUR, OVAL), and a midstream player (TINE). Just buy those. DRI, NK, YOUR, OVAL, and TINE. Or you can read/scan the post which is not even a page long: https://stevezissouu.substack.com/p/critical-minerals-four-catalysts
Maybe too serious talk for this subreddit but that is the only way a Western company can compete with China given current state of play in the space. China owns 90% of reserves + refining capacity and keep prices artificially low. For once taxpayer money shores up capabilities that are essential for all the 'muh AI muh datacenters'. As of today (when the guaranteed price kicks in) MP is profitable. That's a pretty decent win.
Welcome to the reality of the EU. There may be dozens of lobbyists for each European MP in Brussels. Common sense cannot prevail under such circumstances - it's a pay to play system, it's rigged and I can confidently say that no lobbyist is there defending your interests.
I don’t think so…look at the run MP had when the government (DOD) officially announced an equity stake…from the $20s to $70. I think we see LAC easily go double digits over the next month.
Pfizer drugs will be prominently offered on trumpRX. Pfizer income will blow up. Just buy and get paid. MP, intel, LAC. Just throw your money where Donald says to yalll
INTC, MP, and X would like a word....
Do you think MP shareholders lost? MP's stock has had a nice run. INTC, X, and NVDA stocks also gained a lot.
GM still needs to confirm their part of the deal. LAC has offtake agreements with GM for 100% of production volumes from Phase 1 for 20 years, plus 38% of Phase 2 production volumes for 20 years, and a right of first offer on the remaining Phase 2 production volumes. The US requested guarantees for those. Today's announcement is just the first part of the deal like MP, NVDA, INTC, X, PFE, etc. Hope that helps a bit.
What does shutdown mean for govt owned Intel, MP, LAC?
Because they will overpay for the minerals to pump their insider trade like for MP materials.
Keeping it for a while seeing that MP and INTC is getting contracts, it might (should) happen here too. It’s in their best interest to make profit from this stake. Logically lol but they are anything but logic
Haha. Like the shitty MP materials deal where they offered a base price for the minerals that is WAY above market rate? We'll be losing, just on the back end thats paid by our taxes.
Watch Intel and MP if you want an idea on what these do. I DCA'd at noon today and so glad I did.
If I were only getting in now I would look at graphite. WWR and GPHOF, though I will be surprised if UUUU doesn’t get a deal like MP did
How many shares are you sitting at? I'm holding 2000. Hope to see the same thing we saw with MP materials. Crazy gain after confirmed government partnership. Send the article please. We got this 😏
some mfs gonna try to sell at open, but seeing how MP shot up in weeks after gov stake, I’m HOLDING tf out of LAC
So will government shutdown effect stock prices guys? I'm a foreign investor and I don't really know what happens to stocks during shutdowns. I got Amazon, Chevron and MP Materials calls expiring in 3 weeks. What should I do?
Just when I think MP has fucked me enough, it pushes in an inch deeper
The real sleeping giant here is GMET on the LSE. Will be launching on NYSE soon also, if it does anywhere close to MP etc. it has a lot of head room.
MP materials is set up for success, pretty big moat and government backing.
Many problems with rare earths: 1. The US rare earth market is quite small, <200M (Million), for perspective that is roughly 1/20th of what we import in avocados(\~3.9B) 2. It's a dirty polluting business 3. China can just stop the restrictions and crush the pricing for any business that has grown to fill the gap. This has already happened with the Mountain Pass mine that MP runs. It has gone bankrupt TWICE already. 4. With above, US companies are purely profit motivated and generally place no value on stable supply and so they will not pay a higher price for locally produced stable supply. The US military might, but still the market is so small that the investment thesis really doesn't work. All that said I've held a tiny piece of UCU.V(UURAF) for years that supposedly has a better rare earth extraction procedure and it's been blasting higher.
This is blackmail to coerce movie studios to hand over controlling ownership to the US Government, just like he did with Intel, Lithium Americas, US Steel, Nvidia, AMD, and MP Materials. I would never have imagined that the GOP would allow Soviet-style state-ownership of private businesses but here we are.

Thanks for the clarification, did the same for MP which was down 11% on the day. We shall see tomorrow if there's a correction in the works in the critical minerals sector, or if the ridiculous seemingly never ending rally continues :)
I wouldve sold all. I dont think the LAC deal is like the MP materials deal but idk.
Another way of saying it is MP closed 2.65% lower on Friday then the open of Thursday, all while staying within the same trading range as Thursday. What is your definition of "dump?"
I have some MP in my basket.
MP took a 10% dump on Friday 🤷♀️
Thesis is compelling. An ideal entry point may have been earlier this year, the current geopolitical climate continues the strategic importance of non-Chinese rare earth supplies. From a technical perspective, the VanEck Rare Earth/Strategic Metals ETF (REMX) is demonstrating a strong bullish trend. It is trading well above a rising 200-day moving average, supported by a positive MACD histogram, and is up over 68% year-to-date. This performance is largely driven by its core holdings, such as MP Materials (MP), which has surged more than 340% this year, highlighting the market's conviction in the re-shoring narrative.
So far I've written about: \- Bond basics (coupon rate, maturity, face value, MP) \- Par, discount or premium market prices and how they converge to face value overtime \- Current yield formula (yes I know it has flaws but trying to stick to the basics) \- Inverse relationship between bond prices and yields \- combing current yield formula + prem/par/disc (example) \- Secondary market \- how a change in interest rate affects new bonds (the inverse relationship between bond prices and interest rates) \+ risks + other caveats of bonds \*This is all in order.
Only one company in the US mines rare earth, and the govt just invested $400M in them. MP Materials.
Well, the only famous one I've heard of recently is MP Materials. But, it is already trading at or near new ATHs. So that was is currently a hold, not a buy. The other is Lynas Rare Earths ADR, which is an Australian company based in the mining city of Perth. But it is also ATH. Not many value buys right now.
is MP a buy? it dipped 11% on Friday 👀
Have a look at METC, ARRNF, MP and UURAF. METC is my largest RE holding.
Is it too late to by mineral stocks like UUUU, UURAF, ABAT, LAC, MP and METC. Found out about it recently but they are all up like 300%?
Bought a lot of MP and chinese stocks today, good day for accumulation
I just got the 7 and I have to say that I'm extremely impressed, the performance, battery life, and UI are all good (battery needs some settings tweaks for it to behave, out of the box it's very power hungry). The inner screen and cameras are just amazing, showing documents to others, and the 200MP camera, fantastic.
Start shorting rare earth mineral stocks today. Targeting MP, USAR and UUUU. Next week's plan will still be more shorting! Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Jesus christ, MP got fucking slaughtered, bought at $73 and decided that it needed -11% today
I didn't miss it. I won ORCL, MP, and INTC weightings in that order. I bought a small stake in LAC AH with the announcement and it is still up, though selling off. USAR started to sell off today, so I bought a small starting position to monitor, and may pick up dunks. But to clarify, a max of 10% of my portfolio is reserved for really speculative or hedge-like bets.
Cramer, just [dropped the bomb](https://finance.yahoo.com/news/jim-cramer-energy-fuels-stock-151808397.html) on UUUU. Incredible that this PoS actually has the power to move markets (or maybe just sway retail into dumping). Regardless, just diverged from MP, ABAT et al on the news. Let's see where we go from here, hopefully the market does the sensible thing and follows the maxim "ignore Cramer" :)
MP has been skyrocketing all year. Currently in a big down day but still up huge YTD. Buy the dip
Well I got out of MP with a 40% gain..basically while they are now supported by Trump and a AAPL investment it’s still a commodity..meaning it’s not like China stops producing rare earth or magnets.. It was a smart move backing them but will they ever turn a profit? More supply of anything lowers the price of the product.. Hope it surges…I’m just giving my reasons I got out
https://preview.redd.it/wfp8t8ygmjrf1.jpeg?width=696&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=101211f7c15f2ca39e441ce852ea6480c753c82b MP currently forming the Jeff Hardy pattern 🤟
So apparently you can swing trade MP Materials Corp. now lol
LMT, UUUU, MP, INTC, PLTR, AXON Can't beat the Mango ETF index
wake me up in a week's time when MP reaches new ATH's
lol I caught amazing timing on MP and USAR today😂 Both tickers are already 5% down after I bought.
Just opened a position in MP now after today’s drop
MP Materials it’s a roller coaster
MP materials has to the most GUH stock on the market.
I hope this is the next $MP
It’s about all I trade, love it. Not fun today tho MP and USAR
Holy fuck, the mineral and gemstone pretty rock stocks are on an absolute tear. Our commie govt bought huge stakes in MP and LAC. Whats next? PPTA, UAMY, IONR, NB, so many options....
Get on the MP train before it leaves the station, the V is starting
MP below $74? We like the stock 📈
Wow the critical mineral and rare earth element stocks are the gift that keeps on giving with this socialist government that keeps placing stakes in them. First MP, then LAC. I wonder whats next. PPTA is up big today too
For MP the investment was new news, for LAC that loan was already agreed, now the terms changed for a stake in the company.
Uhh my honor magic v5 foldable has plenty of new: - huge 5800mah carbon sillicon battery while still light as a normal phone - 4.2mm thick when in tablet mode - charges full day battery in 16 minutes - 4000+ pwm displays, no eye strain at night - anti-reflective coating on inner display - 50MP/50MP/64MP camera setup
imagine trump says he wants Lithium only to be extracted in America $LAC will pull a $MP
Got even and bailed…. No thanks. MP… maybe
Why? US is largest shareholder of MP Materials and they had a run up similar to this how is this different
That shits gonna pull a $MP leaps still look good
Can we get a GSF ETF, stands for government selected fund. INTC, MP, ORCL, LAC, whatever else is around the corner
$LAC will make me rich it will be the next $MP
whoever pumped MP today so i could print and gtfo, thank you bless you i will name a child after you
USAR is the next MP. Buy stock long term and thank me later
Think you're bang-on. One person I follow highligted this shift a couple months ago, and a couple were screaming buy on MP months ago, a solid month before it exploded.
Sold my 300 MP material calls for 65k this morning, about a 100% gain. 20 minutes later, they were worth 250k. Feels bad
USAR usually double whatever MP does
LAC will make me or break me but not missing another MP.
It’ll go back to sub 6 in a week. Same shit happened with MP with the equity stake
Same, few day ago I heard about additional gov funding in rare metals. I remembered and entered MP and LAC . MP was up that day but didn't know LAC would pop.
Been sitting on LAC for about 4 months. Hoping it behaves like MP did when the fed gave them MP a boost. If it does, LAC should jump nicely tomorrow. I'll sell my initial buy in +10% and the just let the rest ride.
MP spiked like this and held fairly strong levels. Why would this be different? Isn't their Thacker pass project quite significant for lithium supply over the coming decades?
Well many people in reddit all knew about this too. The guy who recommended MP here before it went up; he also recommended this too. I got in… but it was not moving much and yesterday news came out indicating he is reconsidering the loan that was given during Biden admin for LAC. Stock went down 8-10% and of course I thought it might be negative too and sold all. It skyrocketed few hours later… so yeah I among many others who didnt know about the actual deal; got tricked by manipulation
After MP and LAC, my eyes are on Fireweed Metals as a strategic resources play with tungsten, gallium and germanium prospects.
In hindsight the TACO admin equity stake wasnt unusual, esp after MP Materials. Thacker Pass is possibly the worlds largest lithium deposit.
Yes, looks to be following in the footsteps of MP but you know what they say? Everything is bigger in Texas. I got in at $11 and bought more at $18 today.
For real, been buying up PPTA for a while now. No one talking about it at all. Everyone is obsessed with MP and tech, but when the AI bubble pops I think critical minerals will retain value. The federal government is clearly very interested in making sure PPTA succeeds. I even had the privilege of visiting the site a couple years back and can say that the management is really competent and results-focused. Strong local sentiment for the mine as well.
