While it is incredibly powerful, more so than the average person appreciates or understands, it still has massive limitations. And asking it questions like, while it can give accurate and insightful information, can also take information that is speculative at best and include it. "something like 6 months to over a year to up list" is one of those things. S3, by itself, does not completely open the door for up-listing. Yes, there are drug companies that work with S3 products that are on these exchanges but you'll notice that nearly all of them are working with a product that is going through an FDA Study and Approval Process. It will be a hard lift for medical marijuana companies, with no FDA Approval, to get the backing for an uplist months, or possibly years, after a change to policy that had decades of precedent before it. One that could easily be scheduled back to 1 with a changing political wind. What needs to happen is the passing of SAFE Banking. That would likely be a strong enough catalyst IMO to lead to an up-list soon (months) after. However, that bill has been in play for .... checks notes.... a decade. Rescheduling could be a motivating factor to help pass it, yes. But dems in congress are stuck on the equity portions of legislation and have blocked progressive bills that don't include it (Pisses me the fuck off). And some republicans still hate marijuana. With more and more republicans becoming disenchanted with trump and willing to speak out (Holy shit Wile's Vanity Fair interview, and MTG), I can see many "defying" him and voting against any marijuana legislation. I don’t fully buy it. MTG resigned a week after formally calling him out, which was likely due to the death threats from his supporters. How much has he done to damage his credibility & character without consequences (see “grab em by the p…”, etc.). Republicans, and esp evangelicals, have demonstrated countless times that they don’t actually care about their values when it comes to him, so now and *this* did him in? Doubt it…I hope I am wrong and you are right though.

I find myself oddly optimistic after the Trump and Mamdani love fest coupled with Trump’s divorce from MAGA Queen MTG. Brings a whole new meaning to Freaky Friday! Monty Python fans will recall the segment of their show called “And Now for Something Completely Different”. At the risk of inhaling too much hopium, it seems to me POTUS is going to do whatever it takes to generate affordability and job creation. I think we just witnessed a real time change in the wind direction (well…at least until his meds wear off and we see more 3am Truth Social rants). Trump follows only one doctrine…his own. I believe there is a huge opportunity with S3 beyond swaying voters (minimal in my estimation). This move to medical would essentially allow pharmaceutical companies to pair up with these MSOs…win/win. It also creates a pathway to lower drug costs for Americans. I can easily envision Trump leveraging back door deals essentially giving those pharma companies who play ball on drug costs a first mover opportunity with cannabis to S3. Additionally, the hemp industry just got a whole lot more interested in S3. Thankfully it is Saturday morning and the markets are closed. I am taking some time to think about the future of cannabis in the USA and whether I still believe enough in the eventuality of S3 to remain invested in this sector. I do, for now.
