I was doing some research on NVTS and found MX. Chip company in South Korea. Mostly owned by institutions, cash rich, sorted out its losses. It's rebound isn't priced in so yes it's high risk but very high reward whereas I feel NVTS is high risk but lesser reward.

The most popular ones will likely have already seen a big pile-in, and hence might be late to the party.  Food for thought. Anyway: MX, TSSI, and UAMY.

Mentions:#MX#TSSI#UAMY
r/stocksSee Comment

Does NVTS have a signed supply contract/agreement? Whilst rumours are yes, there are zero SEC filings as conclusive evidence. NVTS current share price also already priced in the non-existent revenue.  MX is at an 80% asset backed share price/valuation, with a hard signed contract to Hyundai Mobis...

I own MX.TO (Canadain $ shares). The company is transitioning into a well positioned industry leader. I listened to their Nov 2025 investor conference as well and have done my DD. The balance sheet, debt to equity, 2026 projected eps looks good. It is definitely in a spot to outperform the peers. P/e is attractice and I estimated last week that the co is currently trading around 20% discount (margin of safety) to the intrinsic value. There is about 20 to 40% upside and technicals also support it. MX.TO is my biggest holding. Good luck.

This will cause massive US inflation. Because of USMCA and "transformation" rules within it, a US company could manufacture in MX using some Chinese parts like motors but the finished good would still be classified as Country of Origin Mexico and if it was exempt in USMCA then no tariff. But now that loophole still gets you no US based tariff but the company would have to pay the MX tariff for its global supply chain.

the executives have recognized that the less than stellar gross margins were a big reason for downward pressure on the stock price for many years. remember, MU was one of the last tech companies to join the AI stock pump. mind you, a margin of 30-40% today is great, but not so when SK Hynix is doing 40-50. so if you recall in Aug, MU exited the Mobile NAND market and laid off the entire China workforce in this category. this is the segment that supplied the likes of Huawei, Honor for many years under Sanjay until the Chinese were able to supply themselves via YMTC. this one was an easy cut. also around that period they looked at the NAND roadmap (all ssds) and prioritised releasing Enterprise NAND first. note that it is normal to release consumer first (lowest grade, imagine Crucial BX series), OEM mass market next (supply Dell, Lenovo and their own Crucial MX or P series etc), then mobile (supply phone companies) then enterprise (data centre SSDs) then finally automotive because of the increasing complexity demanded by these segments for what is essentially the same wafer that takes about a full year to reach maximum performance capability from their respective qualification runs. Mobile was already gone, and consumer and OEM was pushed to AFTER enterprise, so today's announcement was several months in the making. at the time I assumed the purpose was to get the first next gen enterprise SSD out before anyone else (2027 btw). but to drop the lower grade NAND like this suggests they are doing everything they can to make margins better next Earnings call. it does not automatically mean higher profits because stopping NAND does not make capacity for DRAM or HBM it's a different kind of factory. and a wafer that did not meet enterprise spec cannot just be sold as enterprise wafer today just because you decided to stop selling to consumer market. what they can do is sell the consumer wafer for a higher price to an enterprise SSD manufacturer who will do something to pass it off as the same. and of course MU's operating cost for the consumer business unit will go to zero. overall, it's a little more profit for MU NAND segment but a lot more operating margins. read...more EPS...more stock price. tldr executives are making a lot of tough decisions for the stock price. better believe it.long MU.

Then you have grounds for a lawsuit based on current securities law. Take your evidence to a law firm and go collect that sweet lawsuit cash. Or did you confound evidence for a conspiracy theory that has nothing to do with reality? Don't get sucked into this, brokers are legally liable if they don't give you the best fills. Not only to their customers but also to regulators. The SEC is not a joke, even at the low points of its history it is a tough as nails cop that has the power to levy fines instantly. It also has bipartisan support because politicians understand that people from all over the world invest their dollars here and that faith has to be maintained. If people start doubting in masses like you do they'll invest somewhere else. But by all means, try an options exchange outside the US that doesn't have ppof. The Montreal exchange (MX) is close to the US and ppof is illegal in Canada. You can witness it for yourself, it is pure crap. Even the biggest stock in the country, Shopify, will have a bid/ask spread ATM that will be like $2/$16. This is because market makers are optimizing for margin and not volume which means retail traders are left out in the cold Ppof was birthed by a con man as a grift but it mutated into something incredibly good. Don't take my word for it, look at the data pre and post ppof. Look at the data in countries that have it versus those who don't.

> I actually really wouldn't be so certain of this... No, it would, the main driver would probably be job creation via employment and small businesses. Also, if you had anyone that had 2 brain cells to rub together, you could do something like I dunno the CHIPs act, try and bring some more critical manufacturing back to the states, or at least MX/CA. But since America is so highly bipolar with policy over the last two decades, no companies really want to invest. Sure, the Apples, NVIDIA, etc... might "pledge" X-billions of investment in the US, but that rarely, if ever, plans out -- remember Foxconn?

So looking at it with a logarithmic scale makes it linear. However, keep in mind this is not an assurance that the market is fairly valued. Plenty of metrics show that the S&P 500 is historically overpriced; for example, relative to the earnings of the underlying companies. CAPE ratio is a metric of that, which is near an all time historical high.

For penny stocks the bots are really really strong. They can make you sell and question life. With enough time you'll get enough ice water in you or you'll learn to enjoy the loss. He also sees the economy slowing in real time and an unpredictable tariff impact not to cut into. Trump threat to dollar – every blow to powells independence or to monetary policy, or Fed building cost overruns hurts the dollar and undermines the feds core independence Interest rate differential, carry trade will naturally push them apart Tariff boogeyman – so much of mexicos trade with US is already exempted and they’ve taken friendly tone, threat is instability politically or otherwise in MX, but unlikely (in terms of shaking up economy). Obvious risks of X-M with China and U.S. shrinking but broad reasons support Peso, health of Mexican economy generally looks good as well. All in all, I’ve been on this trade for a bit and enjoying the move, but think the risk reward continues to be in a great place. Open to any thoughts – BG

Americans largely buy SUVs, which are already assembled domestically in Georgia and have been for decades. Yeah they can raise the price a few thousand dollars to offset the costs of importing sedans from MX, after all, domestic producers will raise prices because they face the same price pressures. Americans will pay the higher sticker prices because everything will cost more, and BMW will continue commanding a price premium. Not delusion, simple economics.

I agree he totally knows who pays tariffs on goods imported into the US. American companies - retailers, manufacturers, etc. He put tariffs on Chinese products in 2018 and he knew it then and he knows it now. He just cynically lies because he knows his followers don’t understand and just read his posts and watch Fox or Newsmax. I’m also tired of people online pointing out how he says other countries are paying tariffs “just like how Mexico was gonna pay for the wall!” It’s not the same. There’s a whole ass agency (customs) that collects money on imports and has been doing it since 1789. There’s no excuse for the president not to know this and he does in fact know it. With the wall, it never got built and saying someone else was gonna pay for it was just PR. There is no law that would clearly spell out who would pay for a wall between MX and the US. Unlike all the trade and customs laws on the books.

Financial Services is a good case to examine. I too have a mix of tech and FS in my background. There are huge swathes of people in the middle and back office of banks that can be replaced, though it's not as simple as plug and play AI for a number of reasons, mainly being the poor quality of data, and the poor standardization of inter-bank communications. It's taken forever to get from Swift MT to Swift MX (ISO 20022, roughly), and even then there is still a whole bunch of stuff being wellied into plaintext fields and extracted for rules engines later. Then, you have the messy area of investment funds, and their legal prospectus and all sorts of shenanigans that stuffs humans into the flow. I don't see a mass replacement, but I do see about 60% headcount cuts in back office analysts, and about 30-80% in middle office control functions. The back office is pretty simple: They work on a 4 eyes (or sometimes '6 eyes') principle, which is that all transactions are peer reviewed (eye 3, 4) and sampled for supervision (some stuff going to eye 5, 6 - maybe because it goes over a threshold, maybe because it's a big client paying for it). So you train AI agents to be the first pair of eyes, and you tolerate an increased fault count, but retain your analysts as the second pair of eyes, each supervising bot agents on an account, but retaining enough headcount to deal with increased corrections over the initial agentic headcount, and also some new skilled people to monitor the quality of agentic output and analyse drops to plan re-training of models (entropy over time would be expected). The middle office, there should be a big increase in automated decision making, more decisions routed into agents that might be able to deploy a number of different risk models to assess credit risk etc. I would see reductions here, with skilled supervisors of agents monitoring decisions, approving stuff over a certain threshold etc. It should be noted that a lot of this is in play already in retail banking with rules engines for small consumer loans, hence my wide 30-80% figure (investment banking, securities etc being at the wider end, in my view, retail already being shrunk heavily), but there should be supplementary back office savings too if humans don't need to analyse scanned info for mortgage applications etc. Agentic AI should also replace a whole bunch of spreadsheet monkeys in 2nd line control areas like compliance, risk, infosec etc, but in some cases it won't decrease headcount all that much, rather it'll just deliver much improved detection, much improved false positive reduction, and make a slightly smaller department much more efficient for the same money, with the saving coming off the balance sheet provisioning requirements due to the reduced residual risk.

Anything north of 10% is severely prohibitive to trade. The Smoot-Hawley free and dutiable rate was just shy of 20%, curbed imports by 66% and sent unemployment to 25%. And that only affected ~1/3 of imports - the tariffs on CA, CN and MX affect ~48% of current imports. It doesn’t matter if it’s 145% or 80% or 54% or even 25% — it’s still effectively a trade embargo. And the 25% against Canada and Mexico are just as shitty for you and me. The ones who get screwed are the American businesses who do the importing and the American consumers who can no longer afford anything, leaving American small businesses holding the bag.

The thing to look for when the details get announced is: 1. Does this take tariffs back to where they were or to near zero? 2. Is this a a "real" trade deal or is it just a feel good announcement? If it is a feel-good deal that gets us back to status quo or to near zero that is awesome. That means the Orange Man is just looking for headlines and then all the other countries can line up to do a photo-op and markets go up. If it is a REAL trade deal, this is bad because REAL trade deals can't be negotiated so quickly (UK has a head start b/c US/UK have been negotiating since Brexit) and this means timelines could be 12-18 months for most countries. Markets flat to down. If it doesn't get rid of the 10% tariff then that means there is a floor to tariffs and we're basically just going to put a 10% tax on everything coming in and we still won't know what that means for things that cross the border between US/Canada/MX multiple times. Markets way down.

I work for one of their competitors that used to be publicly traded but now is private. Nucor lobbied for tariffs back in 18-19 when Trump was originally talking about tariffing MX. Why, because it would hurt companies like mine that have manufacturing in MX. Steel has been interesting so far this year. The year started out super soft in Jan, and was signaling a worse year in 25 than 24 in commercial/residential steel building manufacturing. Once Trump announced the tariff policy it caused the CRU to rise, causing customers to book early to lock in pricing. Feb, March and April were super strong for us and we don't expect customer demand to soften until Q4 of this year due to current bookings. So with that being said, if you are going to short it would need to be late this year as I'm sure Nucors bookings will soften as well.

true, most americans never get a chance to experience life outside the US, and if they ever do leave, they generally don't try to interact with people in that country. i've been to plenty of touristy cities in poor countries like MX, and the tourists are heavily segregated from the locals. it feels really weird, and makes me uncomfortable. i always try to stay in an area where locals live, and try to hang out in areas where locals live. sure plenty of tourists, and sometimes its hard to find someone that speaks english (depending on the country), but when you do, it's awesome. it's a privilege to be able to travel internationally and meet people from a variety of different countries. i think if more americans had the ability, they may not feel quite so much negativity toward foreigners and immigrants.

Torque is delivered instantly and acceleration shits on any comparable ICE of a similar price point. For the average person, and EV is a substantial improvement to a gas powered or even a hybrid powered vehicle in those key areas. Once range anxiety is solved and charging networks mature, the general public will fully shift to EVs. China is the first to really do it on a major scale.

Exactly! The problem is that due to the extreme potency of the drug, the final product is made by tiny numbers (like 3) of people at a time in “mom and pop” operations. These 2-3 people can produce enough fentanyl in a closet to kill thousands of end-users. The beyond idiotic proposal to do drone strikes in MX would need to target thousands of dwellings/apartments/huts to hit all the final product producers. This would make zero difference in the end since “nature abhors a vacuum” and someone else will easily start making fentanyl again a week later.
