Not really a penny but $NOMD was called out in a newsletter I get. High dividend, stock looks pretty bottomed-out & oversold, thinly-traded. I can only imagine other newsletter readers are wanting to get in. My Average of $9.57 is now well buried, earning 7.1% quarterly...
NOMD great dividend-in the past few months hit its 52 week lows and climbing.
Research question: I've been operating under the theory that I'm bearish restaurants because they're one of the easiest ways to cut a budget. Cooking at home is vastly cheaper than eating out. However, I've been wrong for awhile now. So, I put it to you: how often do you cook at home? Follow up, how often do you cook frozen, premade food vs from scratch cooking? I'm looking at this to develop a thesis around grocery stores (NGVC and SFM) vs frozen food companies (MAMA, NOMD, etc..) or if that thesis is even viable.

As we all know, when the AI bubble pops, frozen food stocks like NOMD will fly to record highs. It's pure science.
NWL I picked up a few hundred shares earlier this year sub-$5. Just got my first dividends reinvested(.07/share), thinking I may build up to 1500-2000 shares, currently sitting around $6/share. Seems like not too long ago it was in the teens and 20’s… Also just picked up NOMD. Read an article, sitting at yearly lows, oversold, but has a few frozen food brands under its umbrella that I buy at the grocery store, figure people eat more at home now… Foods a staple and they also have a dividend. Both my picks I feel have upside growth and drip capabilities to grow my portfolio.
WBD: Trading under book value, I like the IP, and I like HBO Max GOOGL: AI Trade RDTL: AI Trade and hoping numbers get pumped in the upcoming quarter with the recent changes to google search WRB, CMC, NOMD: stock I like, but don’t really care to buy more than a share of rn (just don’t wanna forget about them completely lol) TSLA, LYFT: Waymo is going to be the nail in the coffin for both of these. I am shorting both. Also, all recent global Tesla sales info looks horrendous

For fun, I built a virtual stock portfolio and I picked stocks after reading the risks section of their annual report. NOMD is less than $30 a share and based on my research I personally liked it.

True... also keep hearing ooh oil is cyclical lol it wont go on forever (what does?)... ive got great results on shell and not really in it for the dividend more for stock price appreciation so think im gonna sell soon. Might switch for $NOMD.
**Backwardation of food prices: How to benefit?** I don't have experience trading in commodities; however, I'm well versed in agriculture/food. It's come to my attention how food prices have been increasing. I want to benefit from the trend. I believe food prices will continue to rise for years to come because of water shortages caused by climate change. Countries with access to water will stand to benefit. I'm sure many of you have read into Michael Burry's thesis about investing in water embedded in food. In his thesis, he talks about almonds and wine, but there are other commodities like eggs, beer, and wheat that stand to benefit too. I've identified stocks like TAP, CALM, NOMD, and ADM as potential winners, if Dr. Burry's thesis comes to fruition. These stocks all offer substantial dividends, which I believe limits the downside. I only see upside here. Why am I wrong?
