Split market, but pockets of strength are emerging
Why is nobody talking about NTAP?
AI storage is waking up, and NTAP just gave the market a receipt
when you realize you bought NET instead of NTAP

NTAP beat revenue estimations and raised guidance yet tanks 8%
Just bought NTAP phenomenal quarter fwd pe 16??? They compete w Dell - my take they could be bought out by Dell or chip Dells storage biz
Opened Today Sept. 2 - Calls: HPE • SNOW • NTAP • FIVE - Puts: AVGO NOTE: I have a feeling I may be flipping HOE to puts maybe. Disclaimer: This is not a suggestion to buy, sell, fold, spindle, mutilate any financial instrument, including trombones and clarinets.
Interesting setup. Feels like selective risk-on rather than a broad melt-up. I’d be watching high beta closely—if that flips, it could be the real confirmation. The 30Y yield is still the big risk though. NTAP/TRMB look solid; GDX chasing the gap is the one I’d be most cautious on.
NetApp (NTAP) a pretty interesting AI-infrastructure adjacent name right now. It is not a sexy GPU stock, but it sits in the data/storage layer: all-flash arrays, hybrid cloud storage, ONTAP data management, and enterprise data infrastructure. The bull case is that AI workloads need fast, governed, scalable data access, and [**NTAP**](https://rallies.ai/research/NTAP) is getting pulled into that modernization cycle. The stock has already had a monster move. It is around $158.46, basically flat today, but still up about 34% over the last 30 days, 49% over 90 days, 48% YTD, and 54% over the last year.
Dell wasn’t called “the next Dell” after the move was over. The question is whether NTAP is still early in its AI infrastructure re-rating, not whether it’s already gone up.
It is up 57% percent in a month tf you mean "nobody talking about NTAP"
Michael Burry purchased 100,000 share of LULU 8 months ago at $180 a share. It is currently $110 a share. People are paying this man to lose 40% of their account. During that run he’s missed. MRVL SNDK MU NTAP so many plays. Would you trust this man to manage your money ?
More calls on GTLB as well as NTAP (this one due to what Jensen said during his keynote along with HPE tomorrow )
I got into NTAP at $115. Cool, now I'm up \~$2k on that investment. A good little boost; will be selling off slowly over the next few weeks now that it's popped to over 170 post-earnings. I did some research to get comfortable that NTAP would have earnings and valuation tailwinds for their 5/28 quarterly earnings, but also got lucky, and, as with all my speculative bets, kept position size small at \~$4k, or \~5% of my total money in the market (limiting both upside and downside). And this was one of very few speculative bets in May (also NVEC and ICLN); everything else is in fixed income, broad market indices, blue chips, or dividend cash cows. I might end up make a similarly researched but ultimately speculative bet on a new name in June that then gets absolutely killed and loses me money. Who knows? The gain and loss porn you see here is from people not afraid to lose it all (until they do lose it all, then they realize what they should have been more afraid of). Leverage, options, etc. - all ways to turn perfectly good money into a zero (or a very big number!) very quickly. Play around, do research to form an informed perspective on what companies you think are good bets, and just know that even with this effort you'll probably still do worse than if you just chucked it all into index funds -- but regardless, keep your exposure limited to the underlying stocks and bonds themselves; that way even if the price goes down you still have something of value that you can liquidate if necessary as opposed to basically setting money on fire via short-dated options or buying volatile names on margin, then getting margin called. The best way to win the game is to survive long enough to keep playing. Finally, the people who successfully use options and margin to win more often than they lose are generally industry professionals or trading algorithms that make their money off of naive retail losers like us.
There was a post the other day in this very sub that confused NET with Netapp (NTAP).
Yeah, and you can scale the storage component even more with NTAP
NTAP calls made me money. I only bought 2 contracts. If it wasn’t for theta killing my NVIDIA 0 dte
NTAP has hyperscaler products too!
Dell woke up HPE. NTAP, IBM. HPE has earnings on monday. Next big play there, big server competitor
It’ll be either NTAP or P. P seems to be more technologically advanced but NTAP has the standardized file types and reputation for both cloud providers and clients. I think there will be only one storage solution of the 2 long term but not sure who will win. Or who know, maybe. MSFT/AWS stay on NTAP and META, ORCL, etc go to P.
NTAP, WDC, PTSG go brrrrr
God damnit I was loaded in NTAP $150 calls and paper handed sold before
DELL PATH NTAP calls. Cooked or nah?
Opened TODAY May 28 - Calls: AEO - Puts: NTAP *Disclaimer: ye not do-uth what I thou do-uth, unless thou walkuth amidst the darkness of the valley of options.*
CRDO does data center networking cables. Run up a bit already. NTAP, P and HPE are enterprise data storage. They could be a play of token costs and whatnot keep increasing and companies decide to continue to go on prem
Thank you $NTAP options. 18.8k profit. What's crazy is it was up to 35k profit after I sold
Does anyone here have a position on NTAP? Might go up along with the AI memes but Im not sure
One reason is expectations and forward setup can outweigh a headline beat; this NTAP note is a recent example of beat-plus-context: https://modufinance.com/p/a169fec7-8d78-495f-836e-b4693e777cea/ No position.
Robinhood Strategies sold all of the PEGA / NTAP it held this morning (at least in my portfolio).
I do wonder if there will be some storage booms coming too. Companies are rushing to create more data to train their agents on and whatnot. And the models and size themselves. I’m thinking companies like HPE, NTAP and PSTG.
Stop following "viral" things. This predates his CNBC ascent. That was a very speculative time too. For a brief time, I bet those were good picks. I made a lot before the dot com crash on stocks like BEAS and NTAP. Everything was speculative. Cramer isn't a sage, but not an idiot either. There was speculation all over the place. It like ... today!
Well hopefully I’m not the only one that got in on NTAP earnings!
I’ve been wondering about data storage companies like Pure (PSTG) and NetApp (NTAP). They may not have explosive partnership announcements, but solid growth seems likely.
oh, so the government selected them for truck covers? This news article must be wrong then: Worksport Subsidiary Terravis Energy Selected for Competitive NTAP Award to Analyze ZeroFrost™ Heat Pump Technology in Alaska [https://www.nasdaq.com/press-release/worksport-subsidiary-terravis-energy-selected-competitive-ntap-award-analyze-0](https://www.nasdaq.com/press-release/worksport-subsidiary-terravis-energy-selected-competitive-ntap-award-analyze-0) people don't care about companies selected for government projects right? It's just the US department of energy, small fry. probably a pump and dump scam like you said.
I just put 20k into ACHR and 20k into MARA last Monday. BE has been on an absolute ath tear, it’s concerning though because for only having 2 production facilities and a huge backlog of not meeting those customers needs……… I wanna jump in but, I’m cool I made a decent amount off then last year. NTAP is my portfolio. HWM >$50RKLB JOBY RDW Loading up on LUNR
Thought I would have a nice dip on NTAP to buy, but NO.
and I'm here with NTAP puts lmao
Going calls NTAP and PTSG. And puts on CRWS
What do you guys think of Sequana Medical (SEQUA)? It got NTAP approved recently, it is expected to go to 5 by analysts...
Too late - NTAP was announced as not approved yesterday. Unfortunate, but we have a lot of big bright days ahead.
I buy lucrative developing companies in aerospace and defense…….. My first year started with $3500, I’m in my 3rd year sitting on $35,000….. you may want to try doing some research on up and coming companies that have disruptive technologies that don’t have a lot of competitors. I can only buy and sell stocks with 50% of my 401k. The other 50% has to go into target funds. ACHR, LUNR, RKLB, HWM, BE, NTAP, RDW, CEVA have all given me very respectable returns. I’m limited to 30 trades per month. I swing these trades with a target of 4% upside and set tight stop losses. Yes, I’m gambling. But it’s winning
Yeah, because there aren't any names that aren't pennies that move far more often and more significantly LMFAO NTAP, PATH, ESTC, PD, AMBA, MRVL, AEO, ULTA, ZS, etc. https://preview.redd.it/2ll26rsvbx3f1.png?width=495&format=png&auto=webp&s=180b56205e500bab6ad7bd85cef4231c0a33cfdc
How we feeling abt NTAP earnings?
DOCU/CRWD/NTAP/KSS calls
I’m 3/3 now. Bought NVDA/ELF/AI before close. Next week I got NTAP/KSS/DOCU/ESTC next
Sold all my puts in the morning. SOUN opened in the red just to allow me to get out at not too bad a loss. Sold HPQ and the bottom. And NTAP turned my $370 to $1900. Bought more puts for next week a couple minutes before close. Market was my bff today

NTAP was $127 on Wednesday. Currently $100 after earnings.
NTAP big down, ESTC big up
NTAP nooooo my calls!!!
aside from the Mag7, the AI infra play: NBIS, APLD, AVGO, MRVL, ARM, DELL, NTAP
Market is in a weird place. They still think that AI is the big play, but are not keen to double down on hardware (NVDA, AMD etc). They also want to improve the breadth so they are pumping AVGO insanely on half-decent earnings. They like some software like SNOW, OKTA, CRM, NTAP etc.
Market seems to like software companies again. SNOW, OKTA, CRM, ESTC, NTAP etc. ERs went well.
Looks like NTAP gapped up this morning and dropped way back down, but the earnings were really good. Seems like it might make it's way back up over the next few days
Anyone following NTAP?
Lol apparently not NTAP
!banbet NTAP $140 1D
Chose NTAP, hopefully it melts up. Good work!
Still long? NTAP had decent numbers tonight, looking at PSTG now.
We’re getting teased at $25, at least we aren’t getting fucked on both sides like NTAP
Does it still make sense to buy NTAP 135C for tomorrow at market open?
For my PSTG sake I hope NTAP does well too
NTAP earnings looking decent. Hoping the market agrees and I get two for two for my pre-earnings gambles this week
Why did you decide on NTAP for that strike price and the other much further out?
Bought 5xCall NTAP and 5x call ESTC and skipped INTU because I don’t like that company…. Thank you sir, what’s next?
$ESTC \- Q2 Revenue $365M, up 18% YoY (17% in constant currency) \- Q2 Elastic Cloud Revenue $169M, up 25% YoY (25% in constant currency) $NTAP Adj. EPS 1.87 (exp. 1.78) Revenue 1.66bln (exp. 1.64bln) NetApp sees FY25 $7.20-7.40 vs $7.11 FactSet Consensus; sees revs $6.54-6.74 bln vs $6.60 bln
Nailed both my earnings plays! ESTC AND NTAP
I have also taken put position let's see Earning expectations are 1.61B I don't think NTAP can meet it.. as many companies r moving to cloud storage so the demand seems less
Trying to understand the pic - what did you buy NTAP calls per contract?
What we thinking for NTAP? I was pretty set on calls but just seen a weird put order at strike 125 for $637k that’s making me rethink
curious to see how your NTAP plays out. did you buy all these today?
I missed out on like 60k yesterday selling my SNOW calls before earnings… Knowing my luck NetApp is going to tank after earnings… I deserve it though if does. Got 50 NTAP calls for 130 5000 profit so far.
Don't know which direction I will play them yet; however, KEYS, ESTC, & NTAP all fly under the radar compared to the biggest names and have significant moves. TCOM & LAZB also might be worth looking into.
how are my NTAP puts looking...
NTAP. not mentioned in here much so it must print
Holding NTAP calls but didn't expect nvda to report same day. Too risky?
CRM straddles, GAP calls, ANF calls, FL puts, KSS calls, NTAP calls
Let's see how many of those I get right 1. PDD. Calls 150 2. CRM puts 243 3. NVDA calls 145 4. AMD ( I know ) but 160 calls 5. BURL calls 6. S puts 22 7. CRWD calls 300 , Sept expiry 8. Okta calls 120 9. DELL calls 118 , eventually 130 ( those are expensive ) 10. NTAP such a great company , it would be a shame to see this sell off . Double top , still I would play a call here , uncharted theory 145 call
Sounds like NTAP is not just storing data, but stealing hearts too! With giants like NVIDIA onboard, they're definitely making all the right moves.
Josh Brown sung the praises of NTAP yesterday on CNBC as one of those overlooked companies that will benefit greatly from AI (along with GLW and DELL). Reminded us how big they were at the beginning of the 2000s and that they’ve been dormant for 20+ years. Now they are waking up again.
Hi thank you for your time and effort in replies. I think I'll put the major of it 70% across some ETF's and continuing my researhes on some lowkey hidden gems. Really curious about your point on NTAP and RIVN (as I'm following them rn)
NTAP chart prettier than Dua Lipa
Because there is a rapid advance in storage tech, NTAP started with huge racks of HDD's, what will happen when it is no longer necessary as 1 inch drive will store a near infinite amount of data
