US EPC stocks - Buy Primoris (PRIM) / Comfort Systems (FIX)
Your 3rd world country guy is back at it again. All in on a company you probably never heard before. Primoris (PRIM)

Are institutional investors short-selling heavily on PRIM (NSDQ)? Is it worth investing in?
Thoughts on Zacks.com info? I signed up for a $1 month. I doubt I stay at my investment level. They recommended RKT and PRIM as 2 of their 4 picks for Q2. The other 2 were to high priced for my buying power.

Only one penny but look at current price vs 52 week high/low. I bought in all last couple of days. SOUN, SE, PL, QFIN, PRIM, IONQ CMG and DKNG good too
This is bullish for electrical infrastructure i would imagine. PWR, MTZ, PRIM.
I know some on here hate when people mention regular stocks on here but my feeling is....why ignore an opportunity to make money. There are several great swing plays out there that are easy money...I called out DKNG last Thursday after it hit 52 week low and its up over 3.5% since and has another 15-25% to go. I called out SMCI and its up over 10% in the last week...here are a few more that have great entries and most are at or close to 52 week lows. DKNG...still ridiculously cheap CMG SOFI PRIM...look to see if it dips more ENPH CYD FLSR Penny (riskier) FINV QFIN...just above penny, just above 52 low
PRIM -33% lmao they're actually dead
Good utility stocks are PRIM & PWR. PRIM is a great buy right now with it way down because of leadership change and missed earnings. There utility side looks very promising.
Green on PRIM. Red on ANET.
Thanks to whoever mentioned PRIM last week. Aug calls up 50% already
I haven't purchase yet. But it's on the watchlist and PRIM.
Yeah I've been watching ANET and PRIM. Massive sell off happening. I think both can recover for some nice gains.
Just saw the PRIM 50% haircut holy shyt
Revisiting $PRIM's 50% drop today. So they reported a 40% drop in Q1 earnings but still maintained the 2026 guidance. I feel like something is missing here 🤔
$PRIM had a mega GUH today, cut in half 😭 I remember I used to trade it not long ago
PRIM - saw it on the Top Losers today, down about 50% nowhere to go but up!
Is PRIM worth looking at? 50% drop seems a little dramatic.
PRIM hit $100 fulfilling my limit order of 10 shares, it’s 50%+ down today. Can’t get any worse right ?
I am going to buy PRIM and ANET. They are today's trending losers. PRIM is >$100 and ANET is >$29. PRIM may have further to fall. I think it's a buy and hold. AI is here to stay whether or not we think it's a clown sheet show. But data centers are being built and we need construction companies to build and Cloud storage so we can stay doom scrolling on social media. Oil could see $150 by summer. Do with that info what you will.
PRIM has been obliterated post earnings
PRIM is down 44% today after earnings, not all datacenter names can be winners I guess
Yeah looks like it recovered pretty well. The gains during the day definitely helped shield the portfolio. Fingers crossed for tomorrow! I think PRIM will fall hard tomorrow, but not sure how LMB will shape up.
Not the AH moves you like to see as a holder of PRIM and ANET
Just to expand, here are some names I’m invested in that you didn’t mention: ENS, POWL, PLPC, PRIM. All four are infrastructure/energy transition plays riding the same macro wave of grid modernization, electrification, and renewable build-out.
Hhahah yeah. MWH is pretty rad company. I own a lot of these type of names like PWR, AGX, PRIM. MWH valuation isn't too bad and it's always cool to see a company IPO to use the money to pay down debt vs enrich themselves, especially since the company is already profitable. NXT is great because it's software and the stuff that moves the arrays, so it's not a panel play. They are growing a lot intentionality too. Another non solar name that is not an American company, but CDLR is really interesting. They are going to be ramping up pretty big the next year or so, they been building all their FCF on new ships. They do offshore wind installation, mainly in Europe. Which I think will be a big winner after this war. Right now they are exiting the high ramp up phase, since the ships are built.
$CTRI with a new ATH today. +112% since buying. For those of you who missed the run on stocks like $PRIM, that’s where CTRI is heading
$PRIM with a acquisition this morning [https://www.stocktitan.net/news/PRIM/primoris-services-corporation-to-acquire-payne-crest-electric-inc-6tq4gx88dl00.html](https://www.stocktitan.net/news/PRIM/primoris-services-corporation-to-acquire-payne-crest-electric-inc-6tq4gx88dl00.html) >The acquisition increases the Company’s exposure to the high-growth data center services market and expands opportunities for integrating its industrial and renewables businesses with complementary electrical construction capabilities. PayneCrest is expected to be accretive to Primoris’ revenue growth, cash flow, and operating income margin targets. For the full year 2026, PayneCrest is estimated to generate total revenue between $350 and $370 million and total adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization (“adjusted EBITDA”), a non-GAAP measure, of $38 to $42 million. The Company estimates that, for the full year 2026, the acquisition will contribute between $260 to $280 million of revenue and $28 to $32 million of adjusted EBITDA. >PayneCrest is a leading electrical construction and services provider supporting industrial, manufacturing, and advanced facilities. Based in St. Louis, Missouri, the union contractor delivers specialized electrical design, construction, and maintenance solutions across diverse sectors. For more than 70 years, PayneCrest has maintained multi-decade relationships with its customers, demonstrating deep expertise in advanced electrical infrastructure across expanding end markets. >“We’re pleased to welcome PayneCrest’s employees to our Primoris team,” said Koti Vadlamudi, President and Chief Executive Officer of Primoris. “The addition of PayneCrest’s highly skilled workforce, experienced leadership, and strong customer relationships are an excellent strategic and cultural fit for Primoris. This extension into electrical construction services presents us with the opportunity to expand our geographic footprint and customer relationships while adding to the range of services we can deploy across our end markets.” >“Joining Primoris is a tremendous opportunity for our employees and customers,” said Ryan Freeman, Chief Executive Officer of PayneCrest. “We look forward to building upon our legacy of delivering safe, high-quality performance on the most challenging projects. Joining our shared strengths with Primoris, we’re providing a catalyst for meaningful growth, enhanced resources and greater support for those we serve.”
Been long FEIM and MPTI for a minute, both are really satellite component plays for me lol. Yeah, just snagged some MSFT this morning. I had a ton of gains in PRIM, so sold some and moved some money there as well as MANH and MWA. CLMB, i'm still long, was tempted to sell out after they closed they dividend last week. However, still long, since I have faith in the company and they are expanding into Europe. I didn't really buy the stock for it, but it was a nice bonus. The split will be interesting if they ever bring the divy back. I've also been long aerospace and defense for a while now. It's been a great place to put capital to work.
PRIM Q4 * Revenue of $1.9 billion, up $116.4 million, or 6.7%, compared to the fourth quarter of 2024, driven by growth in the Energy and Utilities segments; * Net income of $51.8 million, or $0.95 per diluted share, down 4.1% from the fourth quarter of 2024, driven by lower operating income, partially offset by lower interest expense; * Fourth quarter net cash provided by operating activities of $142.9 million; * Adjusted net income of $59.3 million, or $1.08 per diluted share, down 4.0% from the fourth quarter of 2024; and * Adjusted EBITDA of $108.2 million, down 7.2%, from the fourth quarter of 2024. “Primoris concluded another year of profitable growth in 2025, delivering record revenue, earnings, and backlog, while putting us ahead of schedule in achieving our multi-year goals. We also strengthened our balance sheet and liquidity position, which will enable us to allocate capital toward opportunities to create further value for Primoris and its stakeholders,” said Koti Vadlamudi, President and Chief Executive Officer of Primoris. “While 2025 presented challenges and uncertainty with regards to changes in trade and regulatory policy, I am proud of our employees for their commitment to safely and efficiently providing high-quality infrastructure solutions to our customers. We were able to improve margins in the Utilities segment despite a decrease in storm response work, increase revenue from natural gas generation projects, and exceed $3 billion in revenue in our renewables business.” “As we turn our focus to 2026, I am optimistic about our potential to build our backlog of projects and meet the growing needs of our customers, while improving margins and generating cash flow. Our end markets remain incredibly strong and Primoris is well-positioned to capitalize on the opportunities ahead.”
All time highs for POWL, IESC, PRIM...infrastructure sector.
If you had to pick one from each sector which ones would be your tops picks? CEG , MU , WDC , PRIM and APP ?
Oh my bad, to be fair I'm around 20+ years your elder and have bad eye sights from working in tech for 2 decades. Also as a long time member of this sub, me no read too good. Also you talk more like the boomers and Gen X I interact with at my work man, I thought you're relatively old like me. You're at the age where you kinda have nothing to lose chasing the dragon, but you don't want to be caught with life changing events without money. Not financial advice but if I'm your age with that liquidity, I'd to do a 10-20-30-40 split; 40% in index fund leaps, 30% in Magic 7 leaps(I'd just stick to GOOGL and NVDA tbh), 20% in leaps for non-Magic 7 large caps with huge growth based on current trends(SNDK, MU, NBIS, CRWV, PRIM, etc), then 10% just play monthlies on whatever is shooting up. I'm doing 70% gamble and 30% in leaps now because it's all house money that I don't care about, but always having 30% in leaps ensure I'll always have enough house money to play no matter what.
no im not old, i said im too young for this gray hair. aka too stressful swinging options. I dont see it as a viable long term strategy compared to leveraged funds atleast. Ill take a look into PRIM. Im 26.
I mean yes, but you said you're so pick something with a 1 year horizon and looking for the most liquid long dated option to swing instead. Or go for PRIM or some shit, I know 2 old dudes who're bogleheads and they parked a sizable amount in it with a 2 year horizon. tl;dr they're one of the main ones tapped to build the infrastructure for the data servers, one-stop construction from piping energy to the building itself. They are literally making a killing while the big tech and neo clouds are hemorrhaging money paying these people to rush the infrastructure construction
It's always funny how much analyst can impact the market. Was looking at why PRIM is up so much today and it got downgraded, and lowered the price target (which is still higher), so it the algo's are bidding it up lol.
I’ve been invested in the builders and electrical plays for a while, prior to the openAI stuff. FIX was just added to the SP500 and their numbers are wild in term of growth. Same with IESC. STRL is a great builder name. Then even grid services names have been great, since the need to update the grid is a macro theme outside of AI. Stuff like PRIM, PWR, and AGX.
DE has been on a solid run. A lot of the engineering names have also been killing it. AGX, FIX, IESC, ECG, PRIM have been crushing it.
I never did until now, [PRIM](https://aimytrade.io/ticker/PRIM)
I'd say sus, but PRIM is one of the several construction companies tapped to build the data center infrastructures and will be taking the money that AI sector are throwing at them to meet demand. But you're an apetard, so this is definitely going to go down further from your cursed touch
Haven't looked at the fundamentals at some of these names in a minute, you're spot on, PRIM isn't too bad at all! Yeah, it was wild, when I bought AGX, it basically doubled in like a month or two. Glad I never sold anything.
PRIM doesn’t look crazy expensive here. So bitter I missed AGX!
I've been investing in a lot of grid modernization and electrification plays for like over 2+3 years now now. There's a lot of great names, but you've missed the boat at this point with a lot of. Names like AGX, PRIM, FIX, IESC, PWR as a few of my longs.
That sucks. I'm red overall, but at least have a few winners, but all earnings report related: $LDOS is doing well from their report this morning. $KKR is probably up because of $APO report. $STRL is up from their report yesterday. $SMID is probably up from $GLDD's report. $SHGC is up from their report. Also have some big losers too: $UBER, $RKLB, $SHLS, $PRIM are all down over 5%.
$PRIM * Revenue of $2,178.4 million, up $529.3 million, or 32.1%, compared to the third quarter of 2024 driven by strong growth in the Energy and Utilities segments; * Net income of $94.6 million, or $1.73 per diluted share, an increase of $36.2 million, or $0.66 per diluted share, from the third quarter of 2024; * Adjusted net income of $103.1 million, or $1.88 per diluted share, an increase of $36.4 million, or $0.66 per diluted share, from the third quarter of 2024; * Adjusted earnings before interest, income taxes, depreciation, and amortization (“Adjusted EBITDA”) of $168.7 million, up $41.0 million, or 32.1%, from the third quarter of 2024; * Raising net income and Adjusted [EBITDA](https://www.stocktitan.net/articles/ebitda-vs-operating-income) guidance ranges to $260.5 million to $271.5 million and $510.0 million to $530.0 million, respectively, for the full year 2025; and * Raising EPS and Adjusted [EPS](https://www.stocktitan.net/articles/eps-explained-simple-example) guidance ranges to $4.75 to $4.95 and $5.35 to $5.55 per diluted share, respectively, for the full year 2025. “Primoris delivered a record third quarter for revenue and earnings, demonstrating the strength of our end markets and our sustained successful execution in serving our customers,” said David King, Chairman and Interim President and Chief Executive Officer of Primoris. “We continue to see the positive results from our focus on efficiently allocating capital to grow earnings and generate cash flow while maintaining a robust safety and quality performance culture.” “We see a growing set of opportunities across our business lines and remain confident that we will add to our strong backlog of work, particularly in solar and natural gas generation, as we head into 2026,” he added. “As we approach the end of 2025, we believe Primoris is well-positioned to capitalize on the strength of its employees, customer relationships, and end markets to achieve further success in the coming years.”
Kind of funny on this one too: [https://www.reddit.com/r/stocks/comments/1cfuuj1/comment/l1tdq9q/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web3x&utm\_name=web3xcss&utm\_term=1&utm\_content=share\_button](https://www.reddit.com/r/stocks/comments/1cfuuj1/comment/l1tdq9q/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) PRIM is up over 200% from that post. MYRG is up only 25% :(
PLPC, POWL, PRIM to name a few
Yall look into power grid modernization? PLPC, POWL, PRIM, ENS lotta upside potential that the market hasn’t quite priced in imo
There are already a ton of companies that have been doing well. Not to be rude, but you are about 2-3 years too late to the party for this. Look at companies like $FIX and $IESC have been killing it. Same with $EME. They deal with helping doing rewiring for factories and data centers. It's gotten a bit more expensive, but $NXT has been great. They deal with tracking and utility solar. A lot of investors lump utility with residential for solar. Utility has been killing it. $SHLS has been on a great run. There are also the companies that deal with the upgrades like $AGX, $PWR, $PRIM. Some HVAC have been doing well like $LMB.
What is booming? AI, data, crypto. Research who is building the data centers. How do the build them, how do they keep the heat load down, power, infrastructure. I opened a fidelity account with no knowledge but with 1 night deep dive into what the biggest tech companies are spending money on, I found nbis, fix, IREN, APLD, PRIM, HUT,CC, and they all have killed it. Mixed in some that I thought were low risk like AVGO, NUKZ, AIQ , and then some gambles like NB,UMAC. 1 night of research and haven’t looked at anything else and been buying more of the winners. Options freak me out, but I 3xd just buying shares. Obviously lucky to start in a crazy bull run after the spring dip. I’m not selling anything for a long time, I’ll just take debt out on those instead of capital gains and plan on riding out a big correction
GVA, ROAD, and there’s 2 big mexican companies who own airports in mexico you can buy (dont remember tickers), TTEK, PRIM, GLDD, RAIL. I think GLDD is the most undervalued of the ones mentioned currently.
CECO and NWPX are similar names to PRIM/AGX that I wish I stayed in. After the DeepSeek debacle I cut out some redundant names in the portfolio, so I forgot about them until recently. Maybe on a pullback. Thanks for the new name! I'm in the med-devices space right now, so it looks pretty interesting. I'll try to read about it over the weekend. Also, are you still big on the Aerospace names? I'm holding quite a few, but I was curious about ISSC since I'm pretty sure we both own(ed) that. I got back in at the lows in April, so I have a lot of breathing room. But there's a SeekingAlpha user, beach\_trader, that I like to drop-in on (they've made some good calls). There's a good back-and-forth conversation about recent earnings here: https://seekingalpha. com/news/4485363-innovative-solutions-and-support-gaap-eps-of-0\_14-revenue-of-24\_1m#scroll\_comments
Yep, a ton of really insane runs from some of the environmental group stuff. PRIM is another. Own both. Was probably me, lol. These are those type of companies I don't think I've eve seen anyone bring up here or in real life lol. Haven't been mentioning more names, just nothing really interesting has been showing up on the screener. Did move into a new position around a really small cap company, 100M market cap. They do things for medical device OEMS. [https://stockanalysis.com/stocks/pdex/](https://stockanalysis.com/stocks/pdex/)
Of course STRL continues to be a beast. Nice to see PRIM finally get some love

These along with other infrastructure solutions remain in high demand to support economic growth in North America and provide us the opportunity to further expand our earnings potential in the years ahead,” he added. “We are pleased with our performance in the first half of the year and believe that we are on the path for a solid finish to 2025. We are well-positioned to meet or exceed our longer-term strategic objectives.”
$PRIM * Revenue of $1,648.1 million, up $235.4 million, or 16.7 percent, compared to the first quarter of 2024 primarily driven by strong growth in both the Energy and the Utilities segments; * Net income of $44.2 million, or $0.81 per diluted share, up $25.3 million, or $0.46 per diluted share, from the first quarter of 2024; * Adjusted net income of $53.5 million, or $0.98 per diluted share, an increase of $27.8 million, or $0.51 per diluted share, from the first quarter of 2024; * Total backlog of $11.4 billion, down $0.5 billion from the fourth quarter of 2024, including total Master Service Agreements (“MSA”) backlog of $5.8 billion; * Adjusted earnings before interest, income taxes, depreciation and amortization (“Adjusted EBITDA”) of $99.4 million, up $25.7 million, or 34.8 percent, from the first quarter of 2024. * Announced share purchase authorization of up to $150 million of common shares over a three-year period “Primoris had another great quarter to start 2025, delivering solid execution on our strategy to expand margins and increase cash flow generation,” said David King, Chairman and Interim President and Chief Executive Officer of Primoris. “We remain focused on serving the needs of our customers through safe, reliable and quality performance and I want to thank our employees for their efforts in achieving these goals in the first quarter.” “Despite uncertainty in the current regulatory and economic environments, the fundamentals of our end markets remain strong. We continue to see elevated levels of demand for our infrastructure services, particularly in meeting the utility and power generation needs of North America. We believe the need to support increased electrification of industry, further investments in manufacturing and the construction of facilities to support emerging technologies provides significant opportunities for Primoris in the years ahead.”
Might be heading lower now, but it's been interesting to see how resilient NYSE: MLI has been through these last months. I would've thought you'd see it fall like NWPX and PRIM.
Hopefully it will hold lol. Glad PRIM and UFPT didn't sell off. Still primed at this point for all gains to be sold off intra or next day lol
PRIM * Revenue increased 11.4% to $6.4 billion in FY2024 * Net income grew 43.4% to $180.9 million in FY2024 * Record operating cash flow of $508.3 million, up $309.8 million * Record backlog of $11.9 billion, up 8.9% year-over-year * Q4 revenue up 14.9% to $1.7 billion * Strong liquidity position with $455.8 million in cash “As we progress into 2025, we believe we are well-positioned to meet the growing need for infrastructure investment in North America. Although uncertainty exists with regards to inflation, supply chain constraints, and changing trade and regulatory policies, our commitment to safely providing a broad range of critical infrastructure services enables us to continue building on long-standing, collaborative customer relationships. We are confident in our ability to adapt to these potential opportunities and challenges and grow profitably for the benefit of our customers, employees, and shareholders.” Sees FY25 adjusted EPS $4.20-$4.40, consensus $4.04
I still have PRIM, AGX, and PWR, but those are environmental/grid play compared to purely the electrical stuff. I swing in and out of POWL, thinking of getting back in, it's gotten pretty cheap. Just recently sold out of LMB, great company, but I was up like 300% and just afraid that the first quarter for a lot of industrials can be kind of slow. I still really like the company, but wanted to allocate capital else where.
Does that mean AGX, GEV and PRIM will be back to ATH shortly? That'd be good.
Anyone look into PRIM (primoris services corp)? I bought $10k literally on accident months ago trying to buy something else and the stock is up ~150% YTD. Whats their deal?
Looks like the market is pretty happy with $PRIM's numbers from yesterday.
It's one I been eye-ing. Stoked to see how the numbers look. Also looking forward to FN, NXPI, LSCC, PRIM, PLTR in the after hours.
Nice. My LUMN is just crushing it and I’ve been adding a couple pullbacks. Their assets are positively giant and I have a feeling that their optical network is going to be heavily used in conjunction with all of the data/compute that is going to be required for data centers. If you take a look at how many data centers are planned over the next 5 years it’s bonkers. I also hold a lot of shares of EOSE as I think they will also tie into power supply for 24/7 data centers back-up/continuous power. I also have bought PRIM. For similar reasons
They own subsidiary companies that perform some of the same type of work as $PRIM
The PWR and PRIM combo continues to rip.
PRIM was another one I brought up a bit ago. Solid list. Recently bought into some defense names that specifically deal with naval/ship building and components for drones/satellites.
If the guy that said to buy PRIM calls is reading this I love you 😁😁😁.
Would highly recommend checking out PRIM, their volume is under a million average so I guess they don’t experience a lot of movement but they’re crazy undervalued. They just beat earnings by 34% and raised earnings estimates. They hired a new president of their renewable energy business around the end of 2022 and the stock has been rocketing since then. They’re now the second largest renewable energy contractor in the nation. The fact it isn’t getting more attention yet is insane, and it won’t be long until it does. They also have a lot of divisions such as heavy civil and pipeline on top of their renewables, so they’re well set up to benefit regardless of who takes office in November.
You are thinking of PRI, not PRIM.
PRIM is Primerica, no? what does installing stuff underground have to do with financial services?
My best stock of the past 2 years is PRIM and it’s still cheap.
In both $PWR and $PRIM. I bought a bunch of $PWR when it dipped down to like 170s back in November.
I’ve added to my position in $RS opened a position in $PWR (going long). Similar play to $PRIM
$PRIM * Revenue of $1,412.7 million, up $155.8 million, or 12.4 percent, compared to the first quarter of 2023 primarily driven by strong growth in utility-scale solar and industrial construction within the Energy segment; * Net income of $18.9 million, or $0.35 per diluted share, up $17.6 million, or $0.33 per diluted share, from the first quarter of 2023; * Adjusted net income of $25.8 million, or $0.47 per diluted share, an increase of $15.9 million, or $0.29 per diluted share, from the first quarter of 2023; * Total backlog of $10.6 billion, down $0.3 billion from the fourth quarter of 2023, including total Master Service Agreements (“MSA”) backlog of $5.8 billion; * Adjusted earnings before interest, income taxes, depreciation and amortization (“Adjusted EBITDA”) of $73.8 million, up $21.0 million, or 39.6 percent, from the first quarter of 2023. “Primoris had a strong first quarter to begin 2024, delivering improved revenues, margins, earnings per share and adjusted EBITDA compared to the prior year,” said Tom McCormick, President and Chief Executive Officer of Primoris. “Our employees’ continued dedication to safe, consistent execution remains a primary driver of our ability to successfully perform for our customers.” “We continue to see growing demand for our Energy and Utilities services as the energy transition and infrastructure modernization of North America continues to progress. Our solar and industrial businesses are capitalizing on opportunities to help meet the growing demand for power generation, while our power delivery business supports the increased need for transmission and distribution services.” [https://ir.prim.com/news-and-events/news-releases/2024/05-08-2024-211649193](https://ir.prim.com/news-and-events/news-releases/2024/05-08-2024-211649193)
Yeah, I've really come to love them. They give great breakdowns of the company, what they do, how much they are making. Yeah, excited to see those numbers for PRIM and NVEE after the market closes today.
I've been following them, but their last quarter wasn't too great, which is kind of concerning. * Q1 GAAP EPS of $1.12 misses by $0.03. * Revenue of $815.6M (+0.5% Y/Y) misses by $38.53M. I'm looking at $NVEE after hours. They are still kind of cheap, but seems like they had a bad year last year, but last quarter saw growth come back and they started talking data center work as well, which the market should like. I'm almost tempted to want to play their earnings, since looking at $AMRC report from yesterday and how the market reacted, seems like some of the names might have bottomed or come close to it. Kind of simliar to MYRG, I own $PRIM. They are a bit more expensive, but they are seeing a lot more growth and focus on a lot of different industries. PRIM also reports after the bell close today, but you know I'm a sucker for an investor slide deck and this was their last one from Feb: [https://ir.prim.com/\~/media/Files/P/Primoris-IR-v2/presentations/2023/4q-2023-earnings-presentation.pdf](https://ir.prim.com/~/media/Files/P/Primoris-IR-v2/presentations/2023/4q-2023-earnings-presentation.pdf)
A few other names I've been mentioning over the past few weeks that look really solid are $MYRG $PRM and $LRN. $MYRG and $PRIM are both more electrical plays, but $LRN is really interesting. They are like dirt cheap fundamentally, for company that is growing pretty quickly. They do online educational software, it's something I would never want to invest in, but what really peaked my interest was seeing that their enrollment numbers are higher now than during the pandemic. I'm a sucker for event presentation, but LRN just had their earnings last week and here's the deck from it: [https://s26.q4cdn.com/126400783/files/doc\_financials/2024/q3/Q3-FY24-Earnings-Presentation-vF.pdf](https://s26.q4cdn.com/126400783/files/doc_financials/2024/q3/Q3-FY24-Earnings-Presentation-vF.pdf)
Not sure what $PRIM said in their investors day yesterday, but looks like the market is pretty happy about it. Really interesting company and very much on the cheap side with the fundamentals.
Company that always pops up when I research reported this morning: $ITRI Q4 Non-GAAP EPS of $1.23 beats by $0.48. Revenue of $577.17M (+23% Y/Y) beats by $6.95M. The increase was due to strong operational execution and improved supply chain conditions, which enabled higher customer deliveries. Device Solutions revenue increased 13%, or 9% in constant currency, due primarily to increased demand for smart water meters and communication modules. Networked Solutions revenue increased 30%, due to higher activity levels associated with ongoing and new deployments enabled by improved supply chain conditions. Outcomes revenue increased 10%, or 9% in constant currency, due primarily to increased recurring and one-time services, partially offset by decreased software license activity during the quarter. Excited for $STRL and $PRIM reporting after the bell close today as well.
Also, going to open a position in PRIM and TTEK.
Anyone here follow PRIM? Another infrastructure company that deals with more energy and pipeline infrastucture. Seems to have a lot of growth coming in. Just announced like 1.1B worth of projects today: [https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20240205999134/en/Primoris-Services-Corporation-Receives-Projects-Valued-at-Approximately-1.1-Billion](https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20240205999134/en/Primoris-Services-Corporation-Receives-Projects-Valued-at-Approximately-1.1-Billion) This is their latest investor presentation: https://ir.prim.com/\~/media/Files/P/Primoris-IR-v2/presentations/2023/the-power-of-primoris-investor-presentation-nov-2023.pdf
I told my wife she was ridiculous for investing $200 in “PRIM” just because she wants to name our future daughter that. It’s up over 100% since she bought it…
That’s why I bought and hold PRIM. Electric infrastructure needs major investment to support EV autos. Nukes are the cleanest way to generate this energy (FLR).
Some of these red companies are garbage. Others are just oversold, initially overvalued or too early in their revenue cycle, and the market is too impatient or too down on SPACs to prop them up. We have to remember that many of the post successful de-SPACs of all time before SPACs became a bubble spent months and even years below $10, some even below $5. BWMX, GDYN, SPCE, PRIM, PRPL, LAZY ($1.69 at one point, now $21.54), TGLS ($2.61 at one point, now $26.19). De-SPACs have burned a lot of traders and left long term investors bagholders but we have to realize that going public is a step towards maturity and a few business cycles may be necessary for De-SPACs to fulfill what the sponsors saw in them in the first place. De-SPACs are short seller dreams and retail has already caught so many falling knives that they aren't willing to risk it anymore. Add in the market retreating from small growth execution risk and things are probably oversold but nobody knows when they will find bottom.
Now what’s actually a value play in this market? I’d say ATVI, VIAC, DISCA, CE, ALL, PGR, PRIM definitely are. But those are equities most will pass over as “boring” but are great companies
I look for good companies selling at a 50-70% discount off of intrinsic value and that I believe 80-90% they’ll double within 2-3 years. Companies that meet this criteria at the moment would be ATVI, VIAC, PRIM and those are what I’m buying now. Companies I’ve done this with in the past have been AAPL, MSFT, AFL, WFC, NVDA, TSLA, CTRE, and many more. I’ve averaged between 50-100% year over year for the last 15 years
I heard from a few diff people $PRIM was going to be tapped for some big govt projects in the next few months. Has anyone else heard of anything? Think I may try to jump on while its low.
VIRT provides training on finances and liquidity for the market, ain’t gonna lie , didn’t do a lot of DD just got in because fidelity said it looked good and has done really well since I did around 27$ QRTEA noticed how much effing clothes my wife was buying in zulilly to get ready to be out more after Covid and looked into investing and noticed it looked like a pretty undervalued stock Also watching PRIM as a infrastructure plan play
Yeah it's honestly so weird how shorted it is when the fundamentals look pretty damn good. I mostly bet on good earnings with my calls but I'm now just stockpiling shares on down days. At the moment options are way too risky with ASO in particular. Been looking into HPQ, PRIM and COWN for potential plays next week.
