I am pretty sure that human designed games are not gonna be overtaken anytime soon bro. I have seen these tools behaving like retards on large codebases. We are safe for the time being. I was thinking more like a perpetual RPG type shit where your actions determine the plot ahead and the ai basically builds the plot with some randomness. That kind of shit won't beat something like Witcher 3, that's for sure

Seriously. All they had to do was make a spinoff that was an Age of Exploration historical fiction action RPG that was about trade, piracy, exploration, with deep business simulation etc. without the lame AC lore, and they’d have had a massive hit IP. They could have done it in DLC expansions too. Start with Africa and the Mediterranean. Expand to Americas and Asia.

Going out on a limb here: my theory is its a play on China/Russia, cut off Cuba/Nicaragua from Venezuelan oil, and bracing for a future conflict with China. It looks like the US had a Deal in place with the Venezuelan Military. None if it makes any sense, can't tell me Helicopters can freely move above Caracas without any of the 1000s of paramilitaries, and soldiers able to handle an RPG from the ground. The moves on Greenland kinda follow a similar motive. The Ressources are important, but i do not think they are the main motive.

> According to the Guardian by Israels own (!) leaked classified documents 83% (!!) of those killed were civilians. False. The guardian, in an absolute disgrace of journalism, noted that 17% of Palestinians killed were IN DATABASES TAGGED AS TERRORISTS. That absolutely does not mean that 83% of those killed were not terrorists, just that they were not pretagged. You think some random grunt shooting a RPG at a tank is a civilian just because they weren't pre-identified as a terrorist? The guardian then packaged that piece of media illiteracy up for absolute morons as Israel is killing 83% civilians. Because clowns like yourself can't be bothered to actually use your noodle and instead listen to antisemitic rags that release things like Israel bombs a hospital and kills 500 (before retracting once it was proven the PIJ bombed a hospital parking lot by accident and killed 20). Next, give me an article with a picture of a kid with MS, crop out his fully fed brother right next to him, and sell it to me as a famine like the NYT. Maybe you can even run a sob story about a kid's life in Gaza wo is him (then retract once you realize his parents are literally part of hamas) like the BBC! You don't hate journalists NEARLY enough for absolutely blinding your ability to actual think critically.

AA - Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 may actually win game of the year and has stunned a lot of people being a turn based RPG that a lot of people didn't think could still be a viable genre. Indie - Hollow Knight: Silksong is better than its predecessor and has cemented itself as one of the best Metroidvanias. 2025 was a stellar year for games.

AI Overview This image shows a "Moondial" from the game Stone Story RPG. The Moondial is a crafting component used to create powerful items. It increases the player's attack speed by 5, reducing the number of frames it takes to attack. Obtaining Moondials is crucial for progressing in the game and enhancing character abilities. Consider using it to craft items that align with your current gameplay strategy, such as weapons or accessories that benefit from increased attack speed.

They have good IPs. Assassins Creed, Far Cry, and the whole Tom Clancy's stuff. They're known for AC though, and for the past decade they've basically butchered the franchise. Repetitive gameplay, sketchy storyline, and this weird back and forth shift to RPG style and stealth-focused. They need direction and the current leadership is not providing it.

Mentions:#AC#RPG
r/stocksSee Comment

"Pretty good" is . They are mid at best lol. Watered down RPG systems that provide no real gameplay value and are there purposefully to slow your progress down in hopes of buying XP boost. MTX shop in a singleplayer game. Vast open world that admittedly looks nice but is filled with the most boring slop fetch quests and the classic "clear the outpost" activities. Main story and characters so forgetful they could be a movie starred by the Rock. If that's pretty good, what's bad? Now, this will be an asshole elitist take from me but AC has joined the holy trifecta of "Fifa, CoD, AC" games. Which means when somebody tells me they mainly play one of these games, I immediately know they ain't really into gaming. They are just killing time.

r/stocksSee Comment

Yeah a map that's mostly desert, cheap fetch quests and artificially drawing out play time is peak gaming. I have a feeling they mainly decided RPG was the right directions because that genre makes it decently easy to shit out slop while making it easy to waste the players' time Next step is Odyssey with its booster packs and many of the issues of Origins Valhalla fixed some stuff but the time period and the map weren't meant for AC Mirage was a step in the right direction but that'd be a long journey Haven't played Shadows so I can't comment on it

How did it feel like? I felt grateful. I come from a humble upbringing, when I moved to the States I left all my savings to my parents (around $6k I had saved in my local currency), and got here with about $300 usd. How did you make it? • I’ve always lived below my means. • I married a person with a similar mindset to mine. Supportive, and sees our relationship as “team work” in all areas of life, including the financial aspects. (We’re both immigrants). • I optimized for having a walking commute to work, so I don’t own a car. • I treated my life like an RPG, always grinding, leveling up my skills, and seeking promotions + increasing my income. • I’ve sacrificed many personal things, but I keep thinking that I have to support my parents, so that’s my main driver of focus.

I disagree, competition is far from fierce for high quality RPG single players games. We have shitload of shitty co-up shooters, arena shooters and survival games, but good AAA single player come out maybe once every 2 years, because there are very few studios who got the budget, talent and balls to pull that off. And boycott have never worked in gaming history, Can you name one successful boycot, because I can't ? Internet tried to boycot Hogwards Legacy (Harry poter AAA) and it sold 34 mil copies. People tend find scapegoat for poor sales and attribute that to boycott, when in fact their game didn't sell, because it was bad. Gamers don't care about politics, they just want to have fun games.

My wife is a lotto ticket player. She thinks scoring $1000 on the lotto is "real money". Me getting a $20 roi from parking a bit of money some place over the weekend is not "real money". Best I've been able to do is get her to max her 401k and invest it in an index DCA-n-chill. Rest of the time she's paying student loans, car payments, etc. I tell her "rich people are owed money, poor people owe money", and try to explain how we can take excess money, park it places, and people will owe us more money on top of it. She doesn't care. The gains are not the "winning the lotto" that she thinks is "Real money". Her eyes popped out of her head recently when I told her casually that I moved $50k from VOO to BRK.B in my IRA acct. She realized that was "real money". How did I get that much? By investing slowly and steadily over time and watching it grow. $50k wasn't even any of the principle, it was just part of the ROI. She is younger than me and career motivated, and has an exec job prospect coming up. As long as she's making bank she won't care about investing. That's why I try to step in and do it for her when I can. There's some people that just don't care, though until they see someone at the end of the marathon and go "holy shit, how did you do that?!" and the person goes "slow n steady with goals and strategy". and the person realizes they've wasted all their time and can't do it now. We get a lot of folks late in life posting on here asking what they can do to make up for lost time. I got into investing at 18 when I was working a crap job for crap pay, and one guy in my RPG tabletop group was working part time at a bakery but had his own car and apartment. I asked him how he did it. His dad bought him dividend stocks when he was a kid, and handed them to him when he was old enough to move out. He was living on the dividends. I was like "omg, there's a way out from working a crap job for the rest of my life until I die?!" I picked his brain. He got me interested, then I bought books, and did the rest. So, basically.. it's psychology / sociology.. you can't change a person. All you can do is change their environment and see if they'll change. A lot of folks don't care about investing until they hit some kind of wall or moment of clarity.. like realizing they're gonna work a crap job until they die if they don't do something, or realize they're getting too old to work and suddenyl wonder if they can do something with the money they have saved to save them from the "working until they die" hell hole they got caught in. Best you could probably do for her right now is just try to manage and invest her money for her. But, if she's making squat, and wants to spend it as it comes in, then she'll just see you as a threat by taking her money. And, she'll probably see any kind of investment next egg you save up for her as a windfall to go blow.. like on a trip or big ticket purchase. You can't change the person.. you have to let them figure it out for themselves, then try to help them when they wake up and try to make a change.

Sure, I'll try to be a faint ray of financial responsibility in this den of degenerate gamblers and actually save you some money: The combat seems to be a turn-based, spatially-ignorant (as in it doesn't matter where anyone stands and moving is not a thing) system of rock-paper-scissors attack and action types that use some points of imaginary resources, basically the kind of logic puzzle/math equation masquerading as tactical combat that only JRPGs can still get away with. The first thing you learn about the setting is that there's some monster on the loose that already killed the majority of people, but the second thing that's seemingly at least as important is that your character is down bad for his ex (?) that you're about to meet, but you're escorted there by some pedo-bait that clearly also crushes on him, so you're already thrust balls-deep into some romantic drama and I don't imagine it gets any less of a spotlight later on. Every animation of the characters doing something is absurdly over-the-top acrobatical. You're supposed to go on some daring expedition, but every participant I've seen looks far more suited to be a thirst trap for bisexual teenagers than a commando. You know, it just has a lot of this vibe that I get seeing posts from the Genshin Impact subreddit on r/all. I could probably give you plenty more of examples of that if I played another 5 minutes, but I just went "That is way too fucking JPRG for my stomach" before I even finished the basic tutorial and deleted the game without hesitation. But to be clear and fair, what is there appears to be done very well, so if someone doesn't have a strong preference for the Western approach to RPG design and doesn't mind the plot playing out like a sappy anime, then I perfectly understand how they could consider it a great game.

The real problem for Veilguard is that Bauldur's Gate 3 was essentially everything an RPG fan could want and more and Veilguard just couldn't compete. Now, onto The Sims. Jokes aside, Game freak broke away from Nintendo! Jk… What I really think in my opinion. Okay, so companies have earning reports. If I have to guess… either the current switch and Nintendo products are selling too well and missed the mark. Consumers have placed extremely high expectations of the upcoming Switch 2 coming that will be released hopefully next year around Christmas of 2025 or delayed further into 2026 (This may cause their stock or shares to further plummet). The other thing might because of the poor performances and sales of Pokemon games and the company putting the lawsuit onto their local competition, Pocket Pair. This company published or released PalWorld what Pokemon could’ve been…. Online and RPG done correctly… except with Guns!!! It’s like a Pokemon but in Murrica… and yes you can stuff people in your balls in this game! It’s really just high expectations not met each quarterly causing it to plummet each time and I haven’t checked Nintendo for a few years now… geez… used to be over $30 per share!

CDR is my largest holding already. I am also bullish on the mid and long term. Their current plans are finally pursuing parallel development. (W3 and CP2077 should have been developed in parallel, but they focused on one after another) but constant monetization (live service) is not on the table yet and offers even higher revenue potentials. But my main investment reason: just gobble up shares so no mega corps buys them, or investment firm makes them maximize earning by fucking players. Getting to yearly AAA RPG releases starting 2026 would also be a big benefits compared to the current cyclic revenues.

I'm with you. I do think CDPR has lots to prove, but they are still one of the best studios out there. The whole Cyberpunk launch fiasco was way overblown, they have done a ton of patches since then to the game and have released a stellar expansion. The Cyberpunk anime was also highly praised. People are itching to play the next Witcher, there is also no new triple A fantasy RPG on the horizon at that calibre, so I'm super optimistic.

The Evolution of an Investor - Which Level Are You? Investing is like playing a grindy RPG: you start out clueless, pressing random buttons, and slowly unlock the skills to stop embarrassing yourself. Each level brings new abilities—and new ways to screw up. Here’s the breakdown: Level 1: The Stonk Ape (The Noob) Focus: Stonks only go up. Welcome to the market, kid. You saw someone on TikTok say to “buy the dip” and YOLO’ed your paycheck into a meme stock. You check the price every 5 minutes and panic-sell when it dips 3%, only to FOMO back in when it goes back up. Key Moves: • Buying whatever’s trending on Reddit. • Thinking “$30 stock is cheap; $500 stock is expensive.” • Unironically trusting Jim Cramer. Achievement Unlocked: Losing money for the first time and realizing you know nothing. Level 2: The Business Curious (Still Kinda Ape-ish) Focus: Wait, stocks = companies? You’ve discovered a groundbreaking idea: stocks represent businesses. You start asking things like, “What does this company actually do?” but your analysis ends there. You still mostly just chase hype but now pretend there’s logic behind your choices. Key Moves: • Googling “What does Tesla actually do?” before buying shares. • Dropping phrases like “disruptive innovation” without knowing what they mean. • Panicking every time a stock drops 5%. Achievement Unlocked: Bragging about your “DD” when your pick goes up but blaming “manipulation” when it tanks. Level 3: The Spreadsheet Warrior (The Dabbler) Focus: I made a spreadsheet. I’m basically Warren Buffett now. You’ve leveled up your toolkit. You can now read financial statements (kinda) and calculate basic ratios like P/E. You don’t fully understand them, but hey, it looks impressive. You’ve started using terms like “fundamentals” in casual conversation to flex on your friends. Key Moves: • Spending 4 hours making a spreadsheet, only to lose money anyway. • Using a P/E ratio to justify a buy without knowing what’s “good.” • Blindly trusting historical performance. Achievement Unlocked: The overconfidence of thinking you’ve figured it out (spoiler: you haven’t). Level 4: The Discount Cash Flow Bro (The Data Collector) Focus: DCFs, baby! (aka “Garbage in, garbage out.”) You’ve discovered valuation models like DCFs, EBITDA multiples, and dividend discount models. Armed with your newfound tools, you crank out valuations with the confidence of someone who has no idea how wrong their assumptions are. Key Moves: • Overestimating growth rates because “this company is different.” • Confusing precision with accuracy. • Feeling like a genius when your spreadsheet spits out a number. Achievement Unlocked: Realizing that numbers are meaningless if your inputs suck. Level 5: The Industry Detective (The Contextual Thinker) Focus: Connecting the dots. You’ve stopped looking at stocks in isolation and started analyzing the bigger picture. Now it’s all about industry trends and competitive dynamics. You can finally explain why some companies succeed and others don’t. Key Moves: • Asking questions like, “What’s the moat?” and actually knowing what it means. • Reading 50 pages of a report just to say, “Hmm, interesting.” • Realizing that industries can collapse (RIP Blockbuster). Achievement Unlocked: Losing faith in “disruption” after your hot startup stock gets crushed by industry realities. Level 6: The Narrative Enjoyer (The Storyteller) Focus: Building a story. You’ve evolved into the investor equivalent of a fantasy novelist. Numbers are cool, but now you’re crafting narratives about why your stock is destined to moon. You connect trends, management vision, and financials into a compelling thesis. Key Moves: • Calling yourself a “long-term investor” (translation: your picks are underwater). • Pitching your thesis to friends like it’s Shark Tank. • Ignoring counterarguments because “you just don’t get it.” Achievement Unlocked: Discovering that stories are fun but don’t always match reality. Level 7: The Bias Slayer (The Behavioral Strategist) Focus: Fixing your brain. Here’s where you start realizing the biggest threat to your portfolio isn’t the market—it’s you. You finally confront your behavioral biases, like chasing gains or panic-selling dips. Key Moves: • Learning about loss aversion and confirmation bias (and spotting it everywhere). • Creating rules like “Don’t check my portfolio every 2 seconds.” • Sticking to your plan even when the market acts like a toddler on a sugar high. Achievement Unlocked: Emotional control, or at least not panic-selling every dip. Level 8: The Market Chameleon (The Adaptive Analyst) Focus: Flexibility meets strategy. You’ve stopped seeing investing as static. Market conditions change, industries evolve, and you’ve learned to adapt your strategy. You balance conviction in your picks with the humility to pivot when the facts change. Key Moves: • Combining macro trends with company-level analysis. • Having the guts to cut your losses and move on. • Recognizing when the market’s irrational and taking advantage. Achievement Unlocked: Realizing that being right eventually doesn’t help if you’re broke now. Level 9: The Culture Whisperer (The Intangible Investigator) Focus: People > Numbers. Here’s where you unlock the cheat code: people run companies, not spreadsheets. You dive deep into management quality, company culture, and the intangible stuff that separates the great from the meh. Key Moves: • Judging CEOs like you’re on a reality TV panel. • Spotting red flags like high turnover or shady leadership. • Quoting “Culture eats strategy for breakfast” like a sage. Achievement Unlocked: The ability to pass on hyped stocks because the leadership is sus. Level 10: The Chad Investor (The Visionary) Focus: Synthesis and long-term domination. You’ve finally made it. You’ve mastered the art of blending quantitative analysis, qualitative insights, and psychological discipline into a seamless strategy. You don’t just react to the market—you anticipate it. Key Moves: • Making moves with ice in your veins while others panic. • Holding through turbulence because you see the bigger picture. • Knowing when to go all-in and when to walk away. Achievement Unlocked: Inner peace, because you know investing is a marathon, not a sprint.

Well that’s just the Sahed/Geran drones used for city targets to overwhelm defences. If they get through it’s a bonus. Article mentions the 4 Isklander missiles got through and weren’t shot down. Plus it means using up anti air defences. So they have to buy more ammo from the West. Also highlights where defences are, means more anti air defences are moved to that area leaving other areas less protected. First 10 months of the war, Ukraine used around 5 years worth US production of Javelins and 16 years worth of Stingers. So Raytheon had to overhaul their production facilities. Same with increasing artillery production. Think US upgraded a factory in Texas in one military aid deal. Different to frontline FPV mass produced drones where both sides can make 10k per month or more. Just strap a RPG warhead to one and pilot it towards tank. Decent track or engine hit to immobilise the vehicle, crew then has to abandon it. Few hundred $ against multi $ million tank. Then follow up drone hits to destroy or other side captures it, tows back for repairs and adds to their equipment. Pretty much why Russia this month was seen using a captured Bradley vehicle. They claimed around 5 have been captured so far.

I'm not a day trader and I could give paragraphs about why I don't like day trading, but people do it consistently and successfully. The argument that they're *always* just taking advantage of blind luck is insanity, because if that were true it would be statistically possible to locate the people with the highest Luck stats, and study whether or not a machine from the beginning of an RPG could be produced.
