Well they change teams every game and reinvent the wheel. I think some lessons learned will be taken away from ff16. Like having just one character. Removing most RPG elements. Some of the way the story was told and some of the gameplay things like repetitive side content. Completely reinventing the wheel instead of building upon past successes, like stuff from the ff7 remake trilogy. These things you'll see incorporated into the next game.

I figured context mattered. And yes, SAMs for jets don’t loiter. The SA-67 loiters because its target is a loitering drone like the MQ-9 or RQ-4.

There's been lots of commentary from Iran experts I've listened to recently, and they're all indicating that whilst it's very difficult to predict (given we know very little about what's going on inside the regime), Game Theory dictates that the war continues. Essentially, Iran knows that its only power is the Strait now. Trump also knows this. But where is the incentive for peace here? Iran wants the US to back off sure, but even if Trump backs off, Iran is going to want nothing except total guarantees they won't try this fuckery again. How can they guarantee that? They can't. Is the US going to let them just build their own nukes and lift sanctions? Of course not. This whole war kinda benefits the regime as well due to the rally round the flag effect which is probably why we aren't seeing any protests etc. The only thing Iranians hate more than the regime is America and that common enemy is very useful to them. Then add into all this, all it takes is ONE rogue drone or guerilla fighter with an RPG (like in Yemen) threatening ships in the Strait to make the risk not worth it because insurance is still a nightmare. 1 & 2 are great if you're into isometric games. NV has better RPG elements then 4 but 4 has better game-play then NV. You're going to need to mod NV due to just how buggy it is.

It felt the same as one of their new assassins creed game. Repeated missions, damage bars for no reason, removed building interiors. A mess of a game mechanics (am i supposed to be emphasized with the people or not? Is this a resource management game or an open world shooter??)
Here's what Ubisoft should do: For Honor styled fantasy game with that angular combat but designed similarly to Dark Souls in terms of exploration and enemy variety. Billion dollar franchise right there. The Crew 3 with handling physics given full priority and none of the RPG leveling gear nonsense from Crew 2. Hard-core stealth immersive sim Splinter Cell game with really good co-op that includes a system where enemy players can invade you mid mission after you are detected for the first time. Far Cry remakes of the entire series with absolutely none of the loot shit from 6 and New Dawn. Greater emphasis on survival elements and crafting out in the wilderness, better enemy variety and AI and level design. Level based (not open world but very large open missions that take hours to complete) Assassins Creed game heavily emphasizing stealth above all other mechanics, with no RPG loot number shit they added with the one in Egypt. There's much more but these are the braindead no shit decisions Ubisoft should have made ages ago for they completely fucked their value. Whoever runs that company is a fucking dipshit from head to toe. They have zero idea what makes games fun and interesting.

All they had to do was make a spinoff that was an Age of Exploration historical fiction action RPG that was about trade, piracy, exploration, with deep business simulation etc. without the lame AC lore, and they’d have had a massive hit IP. They could have done it in DLC expansions too. Start with Africa and the Mediterranean. Expand to Americas and Asia.

None if it makes any sense, can't tell me Helicopters can freely move above Caracas without any of the 1000s of paramilitaries, and soldiers able to handle an RPG from the ground. The moves on Greenland kinda follow a similar motive. The Ressources are important, but i do not think they are the main motive.

Turn based RPG - Baldurs Gate 3 and Divinity: OS 1 and 2 paved the way and BG 3 has been more successful too
Dead? AAA - Battlefield 6 seems to have knocked it out of the park with a very well optimized game. AA - Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 may actually win game of the year and has stunned a lot of people being a turn based RPG that a lot of people didn't think could still be a viable genre. Indie - Hollow Knight: Silksong is better than its predecessor and has cemented itself as one of the best Metroidvanias. 2025 was a stellar year for games.
