I made XMTR a strangle, so it is automatically "correct", but will only make money with a large move. I use delta ~25 options, these have a leverage that provides about 3:1 or larger returns when we hit our targets, so we are still profitable so long as we have big moves and are 40% or better accuracy.

Exactly, I agree on all points. I do think NVO will eventually acquire VKTX, or at least try. I mean, they tried with MTSR for a reason: their CEO understands NVO needs M&A to remain competitive. They could go the cheap way with GPCR/SMMT and not become competitive with LLY, or they could pay a higher premium in VKTX and have the possibility of becoming #1, surpassing LLY. As you said, the maintenance possibility with a placebo-like tolerability profile and great efficacy is basically unheard of. VKTX really has its hands on a great drug.

This is definitely an unsung hero waiting to be, already sitting on a fat pile of cash now and just received 180-day compliance extension. Their flagship asset (with fantastic P2 data) is now in P3 recruiting and absolutely has potential to be both first and best in class blockbuster status for the sleep apnea/OSA market (i.e. get people off CPAPs and onto a simple pill). The TAM on that indication is 1 billion+ people worldwide. To put things in perspective, Eli Lilly's approved drug Zepbound generated $4.9 billion global sales in FY 2024, quarterly sales this year are exceeding $2.3 billion (as in, on track to double 2024). This quite literally has $SMMT potential and could easily be acquired by a big fish in due time. Since yesterday's PR confirms that no dilution has taken place since August, we know the crappy price action is due to selling off/shorting/games by big money and nothing more. These penny tickers are penny tickers until one day you wake up and they're in Dollar Land.

The title of your article is catchy. Can we agree though that 100 bagger potential is hyperbolic nonsense. HC Wainwright the most bullish says seven bagger which even still is jaw dropping. From five per share to thirty five would be a huge move but 5 X 100 seems delusional. Would put the market cap at 50 billion. What do you think the highest market Cap for a company like this could be and what type of comparison for that valuation. The price multiple for SMMT summit theurapeuticals got extremely high so if ATYR gets that type of price multiple it could go over 35. And then also M&A potential with Big Pharma. All in all it appears to be an asymmetric risk. I have 15,000 shares.

I’m no expert. I just started within the past couple months. It’s really just a gamble on if you think the stock amount will decrease/increase/stay the same. SMMT was at $25.77 when I put in my trade that it would decrease by the end of week. So happened it tanked on the last day to $18.37! Giving me the gain!

It’s easy to find cults stocks on Reddit/youtube. Often times these are people who bought high on something speculative, held, and will go down with the ship. Recent examples: WOLF, SoundHound, biotech stocks. The flip side is people who bought something early and think because they are up 1000x it will never go down or the hype makes absolutely no sense. Examples: Crypto, Palantir (I have both and am holding both, but understand the risks), weed stocks, every company that said they used blockchain, and now Quantum. So I know biotech well and here’s how I play it. Example from last Thursday. TIL has a small market cap and is 3rd in line (more or less) to launch a revolutionary oncology drug. SMMT and BNTX are leaders. TIL has a small market cap and heavy short interest. Any positive news will send it up like a rocket (their news or news from the leaders since there is no known fundamental difference between their molecules). Since at this point im pessimistic on the company (Pfizer and Merck have done partnership deals overseas at 5-10 TIL’s market cap and TIL is more or ahead of the overseas companies). I sold TIL at a 70% gain and it dropped 15% yesterday. It may hold value going into ASCO next and if it drops under $20 I’ll add a small position since SMMT is presenting a ton of new data. So wait for the crash. Slowly DCA. Know when key catalyst dates are. Sell on the boom. Also, if one can get good at identifying irrational hype (quantum — I buy Shekreli’s bear case) you can take advantage of hype and irrationality. I may buy some long term puts on these now. That’s how I “invest” in cults.

You must be clueless -- SMMT has no option than to RUN whole phase 3 in US. FDA is no joke that would rely on ex-USA data, let alone be it nowhere other than China! Bookmark, and come if SMMT ever gets approval by 12/31/2025. It would take ~2027 to get approval, as NDA itself almost takes a year after phase 3 readout.

1. Well they had great phase III trials through their partner, Akeso, in China. However, they decided to expand to global trials to prove the effectiveness of Ivoniscimab. I thought was extremely bullish but it does mean more uncertainty, which the market didn’t like. 2. SMMT got FDA fast track approval on the basis that their drug is essential and is urgently needed. We could see a decision on that sometime in the first half of 2025. I’m the most bullish on their CEO. What he did with Pharmacyclics was incredible. Google search, “Pharmacyclics stock chart 20 year.” He was there from 2008 to 2015. He has his same team with him for this go around.

Pharmacyclics was at $261/share by 2015 when AbbVie bought it. Duggan also refuses to dilute shareholders to raise cash for his companies. Current SMMT CEO, Robert Duggan took over this company in 2008 when it was trading at .99 cents per share. The company was Pharmacyclics. In 2015, AbbVie bought Pharmacyclics for $261/share. Duggan knows what he’s doing. CEO Robert Duggan bought $75 million worth of SMMT stock at a price of $22.70/share in September. Institutional pharmaceutical investors bought $160 million worth of SMMT at a price of $22.70/share in September. They didn’t throw this much money in when the stock was at $2 or $10. They bought it at $22.70. Duggan says he will not dilute shareholders because they have all the cash on hand that they need to reach their goals. SMMT is currently pre-revenue. They reported earnings yesterday. The earnings report states that SMMT will be expanding their phase III clinical trial to include patients with non-squamous NSCLC. The previous trial only included patients with squamous NSCLC. The market doesn’t like that because it means they’re going through another clinical study. I see it as an opportunity because it broadens the potential market for their leading drug, Ivonescimab. If The initial Phase III clinical study showed Ivonescimab outperforming Keytruda. Keytruda is MRK’s cancer drug. MRK has a market cap of $250 billion. SMMT market cap is $14 billion. There’s a lot of market share for SMMT to gain with Ivonescimab. In another study, SMMT found potential for Ivonescimab to be used in solid tumors outside of NSCLC. If you look at the MRK chart, you’ll notice it sold off sharply with the announcement of SMMT’s clinical trial results. MRK might end up having to buy SMMT out like ABBV had to buy out Pharmacyclics in 2015. SMMT’s Ivonescimab produced better results in clinical trials than MRK’s Keytruda. Keytruda accounts for 45% of MRK’s revenue. MRK is sitting around $250 billion market cap. SMMT is around $14 billion. There’s a lot of room for SMMT to grow. Akeso is a partner of SMMT. Akeso has laid out a lot of the groundwork for SMMT to develop their drug and has taken a lot of risk off the table. This was just all off the top of my head. I’m sure I’m missing other points.

Recent successful squeeze picks of mine: SMMT, CAPR, EVGO What do these stocks all have in common? They aren't down 90%. Mods should just rename this group to the bagholding, knife catching, dead cat bounce hoping sub. Because it's clear over and over again people don't get what a squeeze actually is. I've picked bankruptcy stocks before but I labelled them as such and they have a very different trading strategy than squeeze plays. As in GTFO the instant you have a profit. As opposed to squeeze plays where you want to buy and hold for a while. You might get some SAVE shorts to take profit and cover, but you can never get them squeezed. The only thing being squeezed is the jeans of the shorts, tight due to their thick wallet from their massive win on SAVE.

I have to imagine you sold CAPR calls for a massive profit? I just texted my brother the my profit % on CAPR & TIGR (which I happened to find in a top "Top miday gainers" list researching CAPR) both over 120%, both owned for only 2-3 days. Shoot, even your lowest priced stock from one of your recent posts, LODE, my mid November calls are up 200%+ (only cost 7$ish each think). My only regret is not buying more (Ironically, that's what a broker would say as they are trying to close someone on a deal over the phone) 😂 They were already up a ton when I bought in, but if someone is able to find just 1 out of 100 stocks that goes up +100% in a short period of time (if you invested the same amount on all 100) its a huge achievement, you sir have had an insanely high success rate. When I catch onto one of these early (have been dealing with knee surgeries & the BS that follows, so I haven't been checking nearly enough) if that happens, I hope there is a way I can compensate you for putting in the work so that people like me who would've never even had a clue about these, now have the opportunity to decide based on great information provided to us! ** I see SMMT went up 2.5% today, but since its initial explosion, it felt like a "catch a falling knife" situation. Even the companies that assume coverage on SMMT seem to change their price target quite often. Now, SMMT popped off based on phenomenal news. From what I see on Fidelity, it's been growing nicely in the last 5 years (surprisingly high SI). If I were to buy calls on this, I think the earliest exp date would be December but more likely early-mid 2025. Is this how you would play it? I know the stocks that get even a hint of bullish news & have a 2-3 day squeeze & return to being a dumpster fire are either good for 1 week calls followed by puts (Insert FFIE) or not buying options altogether. *** I write a lot, I apologize. Losing "potential" profit is a habit I'm improving on slowly which stems from when I gambled & I would have a big win that I enjoyed for 1 second followed by "why didn't I bet more!?!?!" I wish I had bought more CAPR when I first read this ( it might've been yesterday actually lol) I got it for $9.9 & change per share premarket & then it closed at $15+. It went down a tiny bit today (a lot of things were down due to the Middle East escalation), but it was $18 at its peak today right? I bought a couple of LODE mid November $.50 calls since they were only like $5-$10 each and they have their earnings sometime after October 18th & before the Novembef call expires. I'm up a tiny bit on ZVRA, I think im about even on VNDA. I sold SMMT before it once again dropped below my cost avg, since I've had that happen 2x already. I'm down on RR but if I recall it's only like .80 something/share and I didn't put much into it. Overall, so far, so very good!
