If it's for your own home and not an investment, 100% good idea to put that towards your home. A lot of people here will likely be renters for life, which isn't a crime but having a home with no mortgage will put you in another class. Renters think they are insulated from constantly rising costs like property tax and HO insurance, but that will get passed down to tenants by landlords and apartments in the area will follow suit. The total value req'd of a 6 month emergency fund for someone who rents vs. a non-mortgage homeowner is tremendous, that difference can be spent on btc, life, charities, whatever you want.

My HO is that it's all about decentralazion. Having come from what's consider a third world country myself, ECUADOR, most people are from the laborer class and most of them dont have a bank account. Not because they cant open an account, but it's because they dont trust the banks. I remember a while back when I was a kid living in Ecuador, the inflation was so high that banks starting closing and they took peoples money with them. I know for a fact that some of my friends parents are still trying to get thir money back after so many years. So here comes Crypto then. Yes the market is very Volatile and of course there's no warranty neither that your money will be safe but I think the fact that there's ANOTHER OPTION besides a regular bank could and would help most people... ​ Sorry if what I wrote doesnt make too much sense but Im in the middle of a "manic" episode and my mind is rushing like crazy. Why would you want to use a currency for everything if one guy - M Saylor - holds the biggest share of it? It could certainly be a reserve asset that a currency is pegged to, but not on a 1:1 basis as that limited supply would seize up economic activity pretty quick.
