Bitcoin while finite has an inflation rate. At block #1, the inflation rate was 100% over the next 10 minutes. As we get further into the deployment of the 21m coins, the inflation rate falls. Dividend stocks don't drop as much as the broad market and often move up when the broad market goes down. As far as dividend stocks not recovering after dividend payments, do you even own any dividend stocks or are you just parroting something you heard about dividend stocks? Yes, they recover after the dividend payment and it's literally verifiable if you spend 5 minutes on Yahoo Finance

What’s weird about it? Shit definitely hasn’t hit the fan because when it does, Apple, Microsoft and will also take a massive tumble along with “safer” stocks which are still close to their ATH such as PG, KO, PEP etc. I personally know small caps are significantly down, I got destroyed in Corsair and some penny stocks. Not to mention I hold BABA, Paypal too lmao. But still, I say we haven’t seen proper turmoil yet. There is a chance we could go significantly down (I really hope we dont!) and then both the broad market indexes and crypto will get further hurt.

I’ve thought about this, let’s say I woke up with 1 million. 250k straight into VOO, SCHD, KO and QQQ (sorry I know this is a crypto sub…) for long term retirement I would keep myself part time at my job because I work fast food to have income still coming in (I’ll also have something to do without the stress of money) to that I can just choose whatever to do with. I would give 200k at least to my mom easily so she can retire. Definitely would buy a Tesla right away so that’s where the 50k is going. 50k in crypto. The rest of the 300k would sit until I’m older to buy a house or it’ll just sit there. 50k in the bank ready to spend when needed.

100% agree with everything you said. A couple months ago I was expecting Gane to be like a +150 or better underdog and I was going to bet Gane. Gane is very good at not getting hit. However seeing that Ngannou is the + money underdog makes me sway my pick to Ngannou. I think Ngannou is going to know Gane is going to be very timid and try to make Himself has out, but Ngannou comes out with a very slow controlled pace to counter this. Ngannou has an underrated chin and can eat a lot of Jabs from Gane. I think mid round 3 After a very timid fight (I think Gane will be winning at this point) Ngannou unleashes pressure and knocks him out in round 3. If not we will see an all hell breaks lose round 4 with both fighters going for the kill. Round 5 would be insane if it got there I would imagine Francis is pretty gassed by then and Gane tags him up enough in the last round to get a decision. Gun to my head would be NGannou by KO round 3. Should be an awesome watch regardless.

that's not true, last time Buffett bought Coca cola stocks was in 1994. It was in August 1997 when he declined MSFT. Though overall return from KO is 1550% dividends not included, MSFT from August 1997 made +1760%. On the other hand if you account for dividends, Berkshire from KO makes in dividends in a single year 51% of the cost basis. (672M out of a 1,3B cost basis). That's a +100% return every two years and considering KO long history of growing dividends that's gonna become even less It pretty understandable he loves the stock

You are correct that the hyper part (over 6 months to 1 year) is unlikely. Unfortunately many of these events are brought on abruptly by a catalyst (war, food shortage, etc.) which takes an already shaky currency and gives it the final KO punch. As its backed by less and less by the day, there is nothing actually stopping the value or perceived value of the USD from dropping 50% in 24 hours.

I'm curious how it'll really work for something that trades sideways. If I have a long term hold that's going up and down a few % every year but overall is relatively flat (like KO tends to do), am I going to get constantly taxed despite in the long run not actually being up at all (aside from dividends, which are already taxed)? The detailed wording of the tax would be very important.
