[Altus Power Announces Agreement to be Acquired by TPG](https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20250206697270/en/Altus-Power-Announces-Agreement-to-be-Acquired-by-TPG) \- AMPS Altus Power being bought out for $5 per share, up about 30% today.
Didn't know they were still around. Unrelated other than being Despacs ... but I'm interested in both AMPS and GETY. Any thoughts on those, too?
Why not buy a company like AMPS. It's more of a solar power company (think normal power company) then a builder of the actual panels. They put the systems up on buildings or other places and charge fees for the power usage.
Only boomers think about stuff like that, modern companies are measured in AMPS.. that is AIMentionsPerSecond. This is not a bubble, it's different this time guys
Let’s look at GEO AMPS MRO. Three of my biggest holdings right now. GEO potential short squeeze Short float is around 20%. AMPS and MRO both met their EE. I think these got huge potential. According to JPM analysts all of them are overweighted. I don’t have much experience and I am open to hear opinions on these.
I got $AMPS calls, is it gonna print?
Picked up AMPS, I think its a good buy
Likewise! I have a smallish position in commons for the low float potential, which I’d gradually sell on pops. Warrants are a medium term hold for me. I’m still holding nearly all of my SEAT warrants, which ended up keeping me out of trouble (almost anything else I would’ve bought instead would’ve done way worse in 2022). With that said, I’d trim some warrants starting at $1.5-$2 depending on how the business is performing and what the opportunity costs are at the time. On de-SPACs, I still like SEAT and ZGN. Others that are interesting to me are AMPS, ENVX, HIPO, and JOBY. I’ve kinda nibbled here and there but haven’t taken any major positions in the latter 4. What about you?
$HPK is one that de-SPAC'ed in 2020 and still at $27. $MP isn't oil/gas but is in the same ballpark of commodities. $VGAS and $SMR were energy de-SPACs too and holding above $10. I will say there are some energy picks that are under $10 too so it's not a fool-proof kind of thing ($OPAL, $SKYH, $AMPS, etc...)
It has a SAIL structure which is investor friendly. Only other spac is AMPS and it was backed by CBRE. I wanted some around 15c but no luck. I had some hope but seeing today's volume and price is sobering
Did AMPS have SAIL structure ? I ran into someone working at CBRE and it reminded me of AMPS
AMPS - Altus Power, commercial, industrial, and community solar customer-focused solutions. Backed by Black rock and CBRE.
AMPS nov $7.5p. Who wants on this ride with me?
u/FRICK_CCIV whats your gain on AMPS?
beta r/spacs member - buys the 420th dip on SNAX commons alpha r/spacs legends u/ImpactExtreme & u/FRICK_CCIV \- buy AMPS puts day before massive 7 million share offering (20% float increase) - double money overnight let's ride
Warrant redemption recently has increased floats which caused low floats to die. As for an actual company and getting cash etc, not sure we have a great history of them. I would assume some near term pressure from dilution. I don’t know the details of AMPS redemptions off my head tho
trying to decide if I should take my AMPS puts gains tomorrow off this offering news or keep riding it down with the impending warrant redemption deadline mid october
$AMPS. They reached all time high today after an insane 3 month run. Looks prime for a dip
$AMPS Altus Power Announces Secondary Underwritten Public Offering of Class a Common Stock Dang if only someone on here recommended going short AMPS in here today. OH WAIT I DID
$AMPS
Pretty bearish divergent close on AMPS, didn't follow the indices/similar plays. Think it may have topped today. Die amps bulls
The only one expiring this week is Carnival. Then I've got them spread from October to December. $PTON 10/21, $AMPS 11/18, $XOM 11/18, $ARKK 12/16, $FSLR 12/16. If this is regarded just tell me in the nicest way possible
If you're looking for a good non-spac long as a hedge to your AMPS puts. I really like BYND here for a reversal rally. 38% of float shorted, down to a 1B market cap, new deal w/ Taco Bell, and obviously the COO biting that guys nose at the bar should've been a bullish catalyst but the market was shit.
Seems like almost everyone on fintwit is bearish now... i expect a face ripper BMR here back up to maybe even as high at 4000. If you're uncomfortable going long, there's still on stocks at ATH that will experience bearish divergence if beat down equities rally, namely FSLR, WOLF, AMPS

>AMPS Altus Power, Inc. Announces Redemption Of Public And Private Placement Warrants 6:46 am ET September 15, 2022 (Benzinga) Print Altus Power, Inc. (NYSE:AMPS) ("Altus Power" or the "Company"), the premier independent developer, owner and operator of commercial-scale solar facilities, today announced that it will redeem all of its remaining public and private placement warrants (the "Warrants") to purchase shares of Altus Power's Class A common stock (the "Class A Common Stock") that are governed by the Warrant Agreement, dated as of December 10, 2020 (the "Warrant Agreement"), by and among Altus Power, Inc., a Delaware corporation, and Continental Stock Transfer & Trust Company ("CST&T"), a Delaware corporation, as warrant agent and transfer agent and that remain outstanding following 5:00 p.m. New York City time on October 17, 2022 (the "Redemption Date") for a redemption price of $0.10 per Warrant (the "Redemption Price"). Between May 31, 2022 and August 17, 2022, Altus Power exchanged approximately 4,630,163 public warrants for an aggregate of 1,111,243 of shares of its Class A Common Stock. Altus Power has not exchanged any of the private placement warrants as of this announcement. Under Section 6.2 of the Warrant Agreement, Altus Power is entitled to redeem all of the outstanding Warrants at a redemption price of $0.10 per Warrant if the last reported sales price of the Class A Common Stock is at least $10.00 per share on any twenty trading days within the thirty trading day period ending on the third trading day prior to the date on which a notice of redemption is given. This share price performance requirement was satisfied as of September 12, 2022. CST&T, in its capacity as warrant agent, will be delivering a notice of redemption (the "Redemption Notice") today to each of the registered holders of such outstanding Warrants on behalf of Altus Power. All Warrants may be exercised by the holders thereof until 5:00 p.m. New York City time on the Redemption Date. Payment upon exercise of the Warrants may be made either (i) in cash, at an exercise price of $11.00 per Warrant (the "Cash Exercise Price") or (ii) on a "cashless basis" in which the exercising holder will receive 0.2763 shares of Class A Common Stock for each Warrant. If any holder of Warrants would, after taking into account all of such holder's Warrants exercised at one time, be entitled to receive a fractional interest in a share of Class A Common Stock, the number of shares the holder will be entitled to receive will be rounded down to the nearest whole number of shares. Any Warrants that remain unexercised following 5:00 p.m. New York City time on the Redemption Date will be void and no longer exercisable, and the holders of those Warrants will be entitled to receive only the Redemption Price. The last day of trading of the Warrants, including on the New York Stock Exchange, will be October 14, 2022. The shares of Class A Common Stock issuable upon exercise of the Warrants have been registered by Altus Power under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, and are covered by a registration statement filed on Form S-1 with, and declared effective by, the Securities and Exchange Commission (Registration No. 333-262072). AMPS wants 14, i'm salivating over loading NOV puts on this tomorrow.
Why is AMPS up 13% today, is u/Frick_CCIV short?
AMPS looking like a good short soon. And to those (i.e. mods) who talked hella shit, I averaged down on my FREY puts and am currently up big on that short.

FYI for AMPSW holders, it looks the price action on AMPS has now met the 10$ conditions for a cashless call.
AMPS and RVAC both above $10. Buy puts? AMPS revenue is like 24m a quarter with MC of 1.74b. Backed by CBRE
AMPS. Plenty of room to keep going up.

AMPS up post earnings, haven’t had time to read call transcript yet tho.
Yo. Thought about you today. Let's go AMPS.
I managed to make solid returns in SPACs even during the massive SPAC market downturn of mid-late 2021. Check out my posts if you want more detail. But essentially my strategy was to find SPACs deals from first-rate sponsors whose interests were aligned with mine that made deals with high-caliber companies - yet which the market was failing to distinguish from the many garbage deals that were out there. My top picks in 2021 were SEAT (bought warrants at $1.5 and sold half at $3.2) and AMPS (bought warrants at $1.3 and sold most around $2.5).
Nobody really noticing it, but despac AMPS is doing quite well lately. That’s probably because it has a good team and the backing of CBRE group.
Look AMPS. 1.3 billion market cap. Solar farms. Profitable. Growing. Guided higher in May. Volume expanding as price moves through the 7.50 strike. Bollingers tight and price breaking out to the upside. https://i.imgur.com/d82D2U9.png

Lol, all warrant reevaluation? Hope this keeps AMPS from coming for the 3s

Im primarily in pre-da near nav gang, but AMPS is one of the few I held onto. Curious to see what comes at next earnings... Hopefully they are still executing and not getting delayed by supply chain issues

AMPS getting beat up, earnings PM tonight
Best investing week I’ve had in a long time. I got lucky(?) buying some de-SPACs a couple weeks ago (CANO, ASTS, RDW, CORZ, AMPS, etc). Also some index LEAPS (including EEM) on Tuesday this week. Wish it could always be like this. Best of luck to everybody on here, and take the time to celebrate your wins when you have them.
Repair? The system was 23 years old from 1998. The compressor seized up and was drawing 104 AMPS (the Locked rotor amp rating). For a repair, you can evaporate the system, replace the compressor, vacuum the lines, fill with nitrogen, and refill the refrigerant but that is not recommended as there can be shrapnel and broken compressor pieces in the AC lines \ evaporator coil. You could spend thousands(the compressor is $1200 by itself) and just end up with a broken AC system again. It is an R22 system that had a small leak. The government has banned R22 production. The price is through the roof, roughly costing 5X to 10X the price in the last 10 years making the system very expensive to service. It was also an inefficient system with a 10 SEER rating, the new one is rated 17 SEER so effectively using 42% less energy which will help defray the costs of the installation.
Think I'm going to throw in the towel. I only own one deSPAC (AMPS), and I'm comfortable holding that for some time, but the pre-DA SPACs I have seem like total wastes of time as anything other than savings accounts. And right now there are legitimately decent companies I want to buy rather than have money in a savings account. Have fun /r/SPACs and good luck. I hope these come back for you.
He's right AMPS hasn't released earnings and it's actually helping the stock stay up and tread water. If they released earnings it would tank like a rock.
Do AMPS next severely over-valued and should at least be $2-4 range.
Kind of weird that niether AVPT or AMPS have a date scheduled for earnings yet. Will this result in some type of Penalty ???
AMPS has worse volume than a penny stock. I can't believe this thing isn't $5 yet. Market has been open 15 mins and not ONE share has been traded for a 1 Bil dollar company.
Rebought AMPS, in a small profit right now. Loving my small SEAT position as well, 20% gain.
Ah, thanks for those I will do some research into AMPS, I was in CBAH before the DA but didnt do any further checks.
Sure. /s CBAH/AMPS had a similar structure and a decent company/valuation. And its gone.
$AMPS about to make a move 👀
I am holding HUGS APSG ACTD PPGH KPLT CLBT BWAC AMPS and SPAQ warrants right now. Down a lot on these and anyone who did not pick these in the last 2 days will be down a lot anyhow. Some of these should do well.
I wonder if you were to just buy an hold all the boomer warrants that are trading under 1.5 what returns would look like in a year. CRHC, APSG, MIR, AMPS, TBLA and maybe prpb
How long far should AMPS drop before any of you would consider going long ?
AMPS RKLY for a really polarized bet.
I love SEAT. I’ve held warrants since DA basically. I wasn’t tempted to sell in the mid 3s in late October and I added more recently. It’s now my largest warrant position by dollar amount; the stock is just way too cheap. I also have AMPS and ZGN warrants but the comps there (especially AMPS) aren’t quite as compelling as they were a month ago.
AMPS s-1 effect was filed at close on the 21st. Also, I have made some poor decisions.
I’m debating whether to add more AMPSw. Traditional energy sector has gone up a lot, while solar (using TAN as benchmark) is down quite a bit. AMPS actually fared better than TAN in last month, I don’t know what will happen, money rotate to solar or AMPS compresses to follow TAN.
NN an unpopular non talked about despac is holding up well… same for AMPS
Bottom ticked AMPS almost perfectly for 4K shares at 9.02 feels good
Incredibly important information for us warrant investors. Thank you! One small correction and a question. You said "some SPACs, such as those w/ CAPS structures like CBAH/AMPS, have non-$11.50 exercise prices and subsequently different ratio tables for cashless exercise" CBAH/AMPS actually had Morgan Stanley's SAIL structure, not CAPS , which is offered by Evercore. SAIL is undoubtedly the least dilutive structure. From what I can tell, there is technically no limit on the sponsor shares earned from the CAPS structure (it's uncapped ironically) - but since the sponsor shares are only earned through share-price appreciation, it still beats the conventional SPAC structure by a long shot. Also, I don't think there is a connection between CAPS or SAIL structures and lower exercise prices. Are there other warrants you're aware of that have a sub $11.5 exercise price? CBAH is the only I was ever aware of. Again, invaluable content - thank you for sharing it!
AMPS puts are kinda cheap. I like the stock but seems like there would be as lot of redemptions and when can they sell those?
Any high conviction stocks apart from SoFi and AMPS you guys are picking up on this dip?
AMPS S-1 filed this morning. I'm not familiar with the lockup provisions. There is probably info in previous posts.
MIR and AMPS, two stocks that will kill it this decade. If you have a long term view, I believe that both these companies are set to beat the market and compound greatly as modern day society shifts.
I'm still waiting to average down on AMPS. Any other beaten down solar or green energy names worth buying right now? I'm super bullish on the sector in the longer term
Really loving **GPAC/WS** at $.8 - thank you to whoever brought them to my attention a few months back. Buying as many as I can. Also, an update for those who followed me into **AMPS**... I've trimmed my position a good bit for three reasons: (1) comps (NOVA in particular) have gotten absolutely destroyed recently, (2) it was 40% of my portfolio, and (3) pre-DA warrants from the very best sponsors have just gotten absurdly cheap. I still have 40K warrants that I fully intent to hold for years to come.
