Also fair, but curious what catalysts you see to help this go up in the short term. The small EV charging guys are miles from profitability (pun intended). I'm personally short now on CHPT after seeing it dump again and again.
Since this isn't WSB I'll say it... Tesla has the market cornered on EV charging, and their dominance is likely going to be challenged by one of the institutional energy suppliers like Shell and BP. Tesla not only owns the chargers and not only has convinced the auto industry to adopt their plugs as the standard, they own a veritable fuck ton of electricity storage and even lithium operations to produce the batteries themselves. I owned a bunch of CHPT but I got the fuck out after not seeing a clear path for them challenging the industry goliaths. I'm personally more bullish on hydrogen since it doesn't require sitting around waiting for a charge, but even the hydrogen charging companies like PLUG seem to be blowing it.
You bought stocks on vibes rather than Financials. All of these companies were hemmoraghing cash which is fine when money is free. Now that people actually care about Financials, the vibes are different. CHPT had -100% margins in 2021 meaning for every dollar they got, they lost 2 dollars. Not exactly the best investment
I was thinking of $5.00 being my exit too. But after waiting 4 years for any profit, is it worth the extra $100? I am probably just happy getting any money back after being down as much as 80% at times. I hav been buying VTI every week over that same time period. I have an average share price of $216. Was up as much as 20%, but now about 14%. My experience with MTTR and CHPT was what made me move to VTI/VXUS.
CHPT gang represent. bag holding all the way to zero it seems
CHPT. Geez this stock I really believe has potential, but I'm down like 80%! I also lost a lot on UPST - sold my position at a massive loss.
checkout $JNSH annual report that posted #OTC 💎 294mm float $3.5mm revenue $320k profit $250k 💵🏦 market cap $900k 0 notes!! 0 debt no dilution in years #Trading @.003 have their own #Evcharging network in #Chicago & partners with $CHPT $BLNK you can't make this up!!! definitely the most undervalued OTC play around. the market cap is 1/3rd of the yearly revenue. huge move in the making
Lol... I remember CHPT. I'm bagging MTTR. Knew a guy who full ported into PLUG, FCEL and Ballard. So it could be worse.
Last time I looked at CHPT, I remember their cash position not looking so great…will need to look again to confirm, but I don’t touch anything that doesn’t have a year’s worth of cash on hand.
$TSE and $CHPT still holding because it’s in my roth and I can’t tax loss that shit.
Let me guess... $CHPT?
CHPT. If you know, you know.
All true but you can say that about 90% of the 'trending' stocks out there. Remember CHPT, UPST, LMND,...
CHPT hasn’t done well because it was lumped in with all the other spacs as bad companies. Considering EV’s will be the only option in 6 years, CHPT is a no brainer to buy and hold
CHPT is cheap and will be a big long play. RIVN was just named highest in brand loyalty, TSLA is still selling cars as fast as they build them. The uncelebrated opportunity is what’s about to happen with plug-in hybrids. CHPT has the best position to capitalize.
At this price, CHPT is looking good for a long steady ride up. It’s cheap to buy with upside.
Yes absolutely. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts on all the tickers I posted. I’m absolutely eyeing TSLA and RIVN. I have friends working in both companies and from what I’ve heard the future is bright. RIVN obviously is a bit of risk here but I plan to open a small position soon. TSLA I’ll probably add once they drop a bit more post earnings etc. I’m going to dive deeper into CHPT and RDDT to see how they can generate cash flow long term. Absolutely right on your analysis on MSFT and AMZN. They are two of my biggest positions atm. Been a long term holder and been buying on dips.
If you have a Schwab account, their thematic investing lists include ideas. It was the source for these. **Batteries** Quantumscape (QS) Amprius Technologies (AMPX) **Electric Vehicle Motors** Garrett Motion (GTX) **Charging Stations** Chargepoint (CHPT) Blink Charging (BLNK)
CHPT has that thing where, on occasion, it will go up 5 or 6%, followed by immediate 9% drop the next day. I HATE THAT STOCK (as a long term bagholder)
I use to love LAC, kind of still do. I invested about 3 or 4 or so years ago & made like 400%. This was just after the announcement of Thacker Pass acquisition & subsequent mining approval. I sold at the top, made like $40k. Then I bought a dip and the market shit the bed (2022 February). Held that bag for a loss of about $5k, to date. That’s why I bought back in a 3rd time (regard 😀) but this time in options, to make up my 2nd buy in losses. I need to do the same with EVGO and CHPT. Those 2 and LAC are sitting in my investment portfolio just shitting all over it. I don’t like to see red. I’ll post my moves on CHPT and EVGO, if I go that route. What are your next moves??
Legit tot Chipotle’s ticker is CHPT
Wrong. Just don't buy and hold. Pick your buy and sell points, and you need to stick to them. I've made so much money the past couple of years off of green scams like CHPT, ENPH, and RIVN.
I like it. Also have a position in CHPT in case it goes—25% short interest.
CHPT anyone? Does it have legs to run? 25% short interest. Just sayin’.
It's ironic, bought the TSLA dip at $190/share trying to make up for the insane losses from CHPT (purchased at $8.30/share last year, and yes, that was also a major dip). What is the lesson here, don't buy the dip?
OP, I have so many thoughts about this: 1. Not a boomer, but I was able to pick a multi-bagger (AAPL (20x), META (20x)). Wasn’t smart enough to pick up any new multi-baggers since then. I’ve been lucky being able to jump in with the GME short squeeze and 2x NVDA earnings calls, but nothing like those (AAPL, META). I’ve got paper-hands. Honestly, it’s really hard to pick good companies. For every TSLA, NVDA, or SMCI, you have over a dozen companies which completely tanked (CHPT, PLUG, MCOM, etc.). 2. Most of my portfolio (65%) is made up of S&P index funds. I’m in my 40s, and I’ve been able to do a lot of traveling and not sacrifice much at all. I also lived in Japan for 3 years (in my late 20s-early 30s), and FYI, the red light district is overrated. 3. Again, I’m in r/wsb for the memes and loss porn, but you’re right. You can concentrate your portfolio into a few holdings and technically beat the market. 4. Ahhh, here’s the typical degeneracy I’m here for. I’m not a big proponent for full concentration on single holding, but I will got big from time to time. I also wouldn’t use leverage, but that’s me. What’s your definition of wealthy/rich? To me, it means not having to really worry about money or my health. I have cheap hobbies (BJJ, Judo, Climbing), live well below my means and have a pretty full life with my family (1 international trip, 3 domestic trips per year). Never been a crazy high earner (<100k), and I’ll never be rich, but 🤷🏻♂️.
VSCO puts ✅ AEO calls ✅ CHPT puts ✅ NIO calls ✅ What a week… 🤑
They announced earnings yesterday, so that's the reason why. If you own a single stock you should at least pay attention to earnings at the very minimum. The report wasn't great: Q4 GAAP EPS of -$0.23 misses by $0.01. Revenue of $115.8M (-24.2% Y/Y) misses by $4.23M. Networked charging systems revenue for the fourth quarter was $74.0 million, down 39% from $122.3 million in the prior year’s same quarter. Subscription revenue was $33.5 million, up 30% from $25.7 million in the prior year’s same quarter. ChargePoint (CHPT) guides to first quarter fiscal 2025 revenue of $100 to $110 million vs. $128.54M consensus

CHPT$ is the play mark this post. Absolutely shorted to a pulp. Sub billion dollar market cap. The largest charging network in the USA and it's not even close. Regardless of current EV sales there are more EVs on the road now than ever before and it's only growing. Btw earnings are after close today. 😉
NIO and CHPT are gonna pull TSLA further TSLA poots until 165ish ![img](emote|t5_2th52|27189)![img](emote|t5_2th52|4258)
If CHPT went up tomorrow, that would be a miracle. Shit, I need a miracle
CHPT earnings and hoping something happens with FSR before my $1 calls expire on Friday.
I bought a lotto call on CHPT for .09. Hopefully it prints, would be nice
393% up on CHPT. Going to sell before earnings drop because I’m a paper handed beech. 😂
Fully anticipating SMCI to fall back down tomorrow Also going full regard and trying out some CHPT calls because why not
I had my eye on CHPT but they literally just swapped out CEOs (new guy is promising but it’ll take time to turn the company around) and, on top of that, EV sales are down + EV battery life is getting better. It’s just hard for me to be optimistic about it and for that reason I’m out
What's the play on CHPT earnings. Until recently, they'd always crush earnings.
$CHPT bolsish - thoughts?
CHPT has hardly moved since last earnings dump. It could squeeze like carvana đid if theres any upward move I have 200 shares at $12.00. Tempted to buy a handful of calls and maybe sell some CC's. anyone got feelings on this one?

Gonna buy some CHPT 4/19/24 2.5 C for .19. Holding: PFE 3/8/24 27.5C I bought Friday that I'll sell on a quick spike Monday/Tuesday. BB 4/19/24 4 C bc they're ridiculously cheap & I'm expecting a BB spike before then. Been watching/buying some $AWIN (penny stock) as well. For general market I think SPY may retest 497-503 gap this week so might buy some puts if I get a good price and am liking the entry.
Maybe we should be talking about CHPT and EVGO too?
CHPT has a gap at $7 looking juicy. Might play some lotto's tmm for 4/19 2.5C - .19/each
Pretty sure UBS did it when they recommended CHPT.
I'm pretty sure their reported earnings will be good, they had really good delivery numbers in q4 2023, but I suppose guidance will be the more important part. Fortunately they just opened pre-orders for new models at the same price as last model, with upgraded NVDA chips, some AI bullshit and something called "ADAM" (so close). Also it seems like they might actually be swinging to profitability, and seems like good sentiment from the market. Just my opinion though. I think the EV put play is CHPT. They face tough competition from EVs with their own charging solution (tesla, even NIOs battery swaps), and are just losing more money each quarter, EPS falling almost exponentially, even the predictions can't catch up. Also haven't seen it mentioned in this sub once as far as I've seen.
I was always interested and kept and eye oh CHPT but its astonishing how their stock can constantly decline during constant EV growth...
Ok, screw it, am holding on to my CHPT cause in five years it will be $75, making me a millionaire (am I doing the math right lol?)
PLUG and CHPT - either they go up or go all the way down 🥲
I wouldn’t be too surprised if CHPT posts some surprise good news and goes through the roof. It’s so beaten down, wouldn’t take much.
I hate CHPT, looking at my portfolio makes me nauseous
Hi, did you ever sell your CHPT shares? I own 5,300 shares at a price point of $8.30, so major losses. At this point I'm barely able to look at my portfolio due to this and am so close to just taking the 75% loss, idk. Reports also are so negative with the occasional contrarian view. They are reporting next week and I'm afraid potentially heading towards $1. Any thoughts?
[https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/CHPT/options?date=1712275200](https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/CHPT/options?date=1712275200) CHPT240405C00002000: volume 2, open interest 5 I don't think you can sell 220 contracts, not at the current bid price.
I’ll agree with one thing. If Rivian tries to raise a penny at current interest rates the stock will be $3 and in-recoverable for years. So far every ESG company that re-financed debt or attempted a capital raise at the interest rates has been obliterated beyond comprehension. CHPT is down about 70% from refinance a couple months, Nova is down 42% in 2 days after $100m raise announcement at what was $1.4b valuation prior to announcement. RUN is down 27% since announcing $450m debt refinance 2 days ago. Previous drops down matter, raise amount isn’t proportionate to stock pain felt, it’s an immediate 50% haircut in 5 days post announcement. It’d be a death blow to Rivian stock.
Every new charging station I see is a chargepoint station. They hold the majority of the charging stations Past the moon. We are headed to Pluto CHPT and FCEL = diamonds
Yeah, that's my point. what would a pile of other peoples money do for them? What would happen to the user experience if we were suddenly met with a bunch of targeted adds? Would investors freak out over content policing? This seems really crazy and uncertain to me (and I have 8000 shares of CHPT)
CHPT. When EV sector rotates in, this should reflect at least a 100% within weeks if not days
This won't make it better for you but here are some incredibly stupid/expensive things I've done recently: 1. Sold TTD on day of ER where it went up 20% 2. Sold SQ not too long ago at $60 (at a loss) 3. Still holding on to CHPT which I purchased a ton of at $8.30/share 4. and so much more And this is/was my retirement account so...
Yeah that was my plan with CHPT. I just need it to go back up to $4 before I sell bc the original shares I bought were at $14 so I need to offset that to see green. I’m gonna double down on SOFI and put some ETFs in my IRA. I appreciate the recommendations for dividend yielding stocks and will look into those. Thank you for taking the time to write all that out for me. I appreciate it.
Commenting on Thoughts on my portfolio? (Repost)... Solid base, I like the foundation of Apple, AMD, BA. Would keep feeding those and add a $CVX or $OXY for some energy exposure. $O is an interesting look for a monthly dividend and gets you into real estate. Turn on the drip and let dividends from all those compound for 40 years and you’ll be doing alright. You are so young I would encourage taking a chance on a speculative growth stock or two as well. Personally I would not put any more into $CHPT. Only down 12% you have a decent cost basis and can hold on for a spike to get out with some greens. Decent short position on that one, could see it popping up with a solid earnings and a squeeze. Check out $AEVA, pretty good tech, former Apple engineers started it and first major ~$1B contract in hand from Daimler which validates their tech is best in class. Super speculative but could be exponential returns if their story plays out over next 5 years. $NET, $SOFI and $SHAK all growth stocks I would look into with your time horizon. Waiting for pullbacks on all at this point and buying in small chunks over time. Whatever you buy make sure you have enough time to stay on top of news / earnings calls on all stocks you own so can adjust if the narrative changes on the core reasons you bought it in first place. If you can’t dedicate the time lean into less stocks and more ETFs.
I will look into ETFs that include stocks like FSLR and CHPT, I also really like to see it when they blow up and do well bc it hurts so bad when they don’t do well. I appreciate the advice, thank you.
- Consolidate. There are a lot of overlaps between ETFs/stocks/mutual funds tracking large cap/Nasdaq 100. For example, TQQQ and FOCPX could really be FNILX, *which also has zero fees.* If you insist on investing in the Nasdaq 100, look at low-fee options, like QQQM (not QQQ). - Watch the fees. This is just to reiterate my point above. QQQM’s expense ratio is 0.15% v. TQQQ’s 0.88%, for example. Fidelity’s own funds are generally cheaper, like their zero expense funds. - I’m not going to tell you to not buy individual stocks, but I’d advise buying the stock’s sector. For example, I see green stocks (CHPT & FSLR). Are there low-cost ETFs or mutual funds that you could also invest in? This protects you in case your pick goes down/sideways. Good luck! Xo. You’re a wise, young man. :)
Not profitable and they keep diluting shares to raise cash. You can have a market without a company. CHPT is going to get bought out or go bankrupt in a few years if it doesn't get its shit together.
Stonks only go straight down, once three dots with one line connect upwards. Wallstreet Bets 101. With the aforementioned logic, CHPT has had the opposite graph, so time to YOLO it to the moon!
Rivian (RIVN), Canoo (GOEV) and Chargepoint (CHPT). All 3 are EV Plays and Canoo is doing the worst. I'm holding simply because I have other holds doing okay and I can see at least one or two of those 3 hitting it big as EV market share increases.
Dude I got you. These MFs talking about ETFs apparently love boredom. One thought to burn 2.7k is buy 23 1/16/26 call contracts of CHPT. I’ve lost a lot on CHPT so listen to ME. I believe in my calcified heart that this business will be viable. I believed this about CARA too and am only down about 17K there.
$BLNK killing me at down 78% $EVGO down 63% and I sold $CHPT for a tax loss last year. I was early in these names so hopefully a squeeze can help me recover some of losses. I believe in the charging concept.. but should have waited to buy. BLNK average target price range from $3-$7 by analysts.. trading at $2.25 EVGO average price at $5.94 trading at $2 I'm thinking of buying back CHPT now that my wash date has passed and it is below my selling price
TLSA actually owns this market. i dont know if CHPT is using TSLA super charging stuff but if not probably fucked. the space is super vulnerable, EV push back is happening, they just arent convenient for most people. yes the infrastructure has to be there, but again TSLA super charger is the king. so if you arent installing that you probably suck dick.
Too expensive, now. Investing in SPCE and CHPT as well as dividend stock. Just sit and wait
Yeah, I have 450 shares and I’ve thought about it but just haven’t yet tbh. NIO and CHPT are my two worst trades ever that’s for sure, like I said I was more passive then and my grandpa is one of the most intelligent people I know. He was a nuclear engineer, and he told me was talking a position in both so I followed blindly and we both are still bag holding ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4260)![img](emote|t5_2th52|31226)
In a last effort to save my ROTH savings (which had gone from $16,000 to $2,500), I put everything in CHPT at $8.30/share a few months ago
At some point CHPT is gonna get bought out or go bankrupt. Below $2 now, Jesus take the wheel ![img](emote|t5_2th52|27421)
any point going in on CHPT PLUG BLNK etc
Anybody else looking at CHPT? I have a vague understanding of the pending lawsuit, but I see a potential tie in with FedRamp approval of their platform that might put them in a VERY lucrative position. Seems seriously over shorted right now.
