JPMC doesn’t give references, only employment verification, and doesn’t allow employees to give references. So, who was giving the bad references, and why was he asking for references since it’s against the Code of Conduct. HR is not going to put up with anything that is going to harm the reputation of the firm. And to protect an ED? Not a chance. ED is not a very senior role in JPMC. There’s a dime a dozen EDs in JPMC. I was a HIMS customer for 2 years until I realized that they were too expensive. For example, their GLP subscription is $199 for the 1st month and $399 for subsequent months. That’s in the top tier most expensive plans out there. I switched to a local accredited clinic that also provides GLP treatments from the same branded companies at $175 per month without any monthly commitment like HIMS. It’s the same issue with their very expensive hair growth subscription plan and their ED plans, where the latter is priced at almost 75x the price than if you just get it from your PCP. Think of it this way. HIMS is like the Whole Foods (maybe even Erewhon) for treatments when you get same branded stuff from Walmart at cheaper prices, so unless they change their business model it’s not going to go past 35-40 long term. But that’s just my opinion as a former customer. What do I know.

covered this a few comments up. fair point and agreed that win rate in isolation has limits. the way i look at it, on boring low beta stocks assignment isn't really a loss. u still keep the premium and u sell the stock at a price u were already ok with when u picked the strike. the opportunity cost argument only matters if the stock was going to run significantly past your strike. WFC and ED aren't doing that. you're giving up upside that was never really on the table in exchange for real cash every month. that's the intrinsic advantage of boring stocks that the win rate data doesn't fully capture

when the stock barely moves there's rarely a reason to close early. the premium just decays quietly toward zero and u collect the full amount at expiration. the 50% profit close rule makes more sense on volatile names where the position can flip on u fast. on something like WFC or ED the position just sits there doing exactly what u expected. closing at 50% on a boring stock means leaving the other half on the table for no real reason
