Nobody seems to want to talk about it a lot. But basically if there is not a material reduction in jobs then there is an AI bubble. It is about as simple as that. The only way the 100s of billions spent on AI infrastructure gets a return is if there is a lot of cutting of jobs. I spent about half the day yesterday playing with Gemini 3 and Antigravity. I was just completely blown away. My oldest son is a software engineer and there is no way Gemini with Antigravity is not going to take a huge number of software jobs. I am old and been really into tech the majority of my life. So about 30 years ago I started having my family live below our means and pack money away. I had envision a day where the jobs would go away and it looks like we are finally at that point. Me and my wife have 8 kids. But we did put enough money away to take care of them if needed. What I did not see happening was some of the first jobs that would go away were software development. Not sure why as now it is very obvious. Software development is perfect to be done by AI instead of humans. I had actually encouraged my kids 15 years ago to get into software engineering. My kids that are going to be the safest for the longest are my kids in health care. The one that is most silly is one of my younger sons GF just graduated school for graphic art. Can't find a job and doubt she ever will. It is obvious to me that we will need a UBI at some point. I am American, BTW. I grew up in an era where we were drilled endlessly that socialism is bad. So it is going to be very ugly and messy for the US to make the transition. It will be a lot easier when my generation dies off. I am just different, far more liberal, than many my age.

We had to stop her so we could get our cups. Went to walk away again. Had to stop her and remind her we got chips, queso, and guacamole and chimichurri sauce as well. Huffed and out everything in the bag and walked away again. She literally rang us up, so she should know our order. 🤷🏻 Then a couple days later, we had another craving and decided to try QDoba five minutes in the other direction. There they had two people working the counter and one on register. All I saw. Got burritos again, and chips and guacamole and the soup. At first when they were making my gf’s burrito. They went a little light on the rice. But to big scoops of chicken made up for that. And my burrito was fat!! Plenty of rice and two scoops of beef. And everything else was plenty. So far, had trouble closing it. No issue at the register. Just a much better experience. Now flavor wise. Chipotle had better chips and guacamole. But everything else was better at QDoba. So I was never a fan before they got expensive. And for the money, I’d rather go to QDoba, better bang for your buck and nicer stores. That’s my two cents.🤷🏻
