Flights were even from the Songshan airport in Taipei, which had mainly domestic flights. With the recent Taiwan presidents, who are not pro unification, diplomacy has gone the other way. Unlike US generals, I don’t know what Xi is thinking better than him, but I don’t believe he will invade. If a hawkish new leader takes over in the future, who knows what will happen.

I went in on Moderna after reading a Time Magazine article about new variant viruses spreading then my GF in Colombia said there was a strong strain there as well as other South America countries that was making them sick. On top of that was talk of cancer research that they are in and this past week’s very optimistic outlook from their CEO. It’s ath is $484 so it’s got potential rocket fuel if a strong strain hits the US and Europe or they make progress on the cancer front with any optimism. Everything people said here about tax advantaged accounts is true. My only other suggestion would be your living situation, with a friend, won't last forever. Maybe they will get a GF or you will or they will just want to move. I'd start putting money away in an "emergency housing" savings account that best case scenario you won't have to use for years and you can use for something else then. But maybe in a year you'd want it. I once was in a similar situation and even though my friend who owned the house didnt need any money, I paid for a maid every once in awhile. I bought random things to make the place better. For a few hundred dollars a month, was a nice way to make it clear I was grateful and was a good roommate.

Combine that with Intel’s late adoption of EUV and you can see exactly why what has happened, has happened. The fact that they were competitive with TSMC for a leading edge node up until 10nm is an incredible feat, considering they weren’t even selling fab capacity and using it solely for their products. That isn’t to say Intel didn’t fuck up. They did, severely. The cancellation of 20A was a huge blow that led everyone to believe they were going to be left behind, but the announcement and production of 18A has shown that they are still competitive despite the time it has taken. You also have to understand that Intel is the _only_ company who can fabricate leading edge chips in the USA. TSMC isn’t bringing their latest nodes to the Arizona fab. As such there’s a political aspect at play. The long term prospects really depends if Intel manages to secure customers for 14A. If they fail to secure any, then I can see Apple or Nvidia taking a stake in the fab side of the business. Apple and Nvidia both are considering Intel for their chips. Nvidia even took a stake.
